Came here for a cute little Sunday breakfast to start the day. Was the food amazing? LOL, no. Was it great? Meh. Was it good? I mean… sure, I’d check the box. Honestly, it was one of those meals where everything was fine — like, aggressively mediocre. The only thing that stood out? The price tag. Two coffees and baby-sized portions that barely filled half the plate… and surprise! I was hungry again in 30 minutes. Nothing terrible, nothing memorable — just kind of… there. Like the toast of breakfast spots. Neutral. Forgettable. Probably a vibe if you like spending $30 to stay hungry. ☕🥲

Google
Absolutely love love love this cafe, tried the breakfast as well as the lunch menu, the smoothies, matchas, everything here tastes fabulous! The bakes are super fresh too!

Google
We work nearby and use this place almost every day, and the coffee and service are always great! Especially Brennen is our favorite:) The coffee he brews is always delicious, so please try it when you go there! (Especially if you want a little syrup in your latte, he has the best syrup level!!)

MakeUp Miyabi

Google
I go to this location everyday! Brennen makes best ever coffee!! My favorite is Orange flavored ice latte. But always sold out. Because really good!!!

Google
I’m not a fan of the food. For some health nuts, it might hit the spot but my smoothie tasted like aspartame (probably stevia or monk fruit the protein powder they use). Banana bread was good-looking but ultimately a little sad in the mouth. My fiancée said about it, “the party had no after party”…in the mouth, of course. But the location is amazing. The vibes are immaculate. I will be coming back frequently to get coffee and sit to work and read.

Google
Love the breakfast options! This Aussie inspired brunch/coffee spot provides blankets for its customers to use during meal time. Its a great place to work and their coffee is delicious. Did I mention they give out free Tim tam chocolates ??

Alexis Gonzalez

Google
Bluestone Lane has the best menu!! So many options to choose from from smoothies, sammys, and the potato wedges are fire. I love the vibe in there and the coffee of course! :) Extra shout out to Brian, Brennan and Natalie for always being so kind and helpful !!

BRYAN LARA

Google
Bluestone lane hits the spot for breakfast everytime! Try the vanilla lattes! I got a capp and a latte. its amazing !! Thanks Bryan! I had a great time!

Yelp
Bluestone Lane is one of the premiere coffee shops/cafes in Los Angeles! The coffee here is always amazing and the staff incredibly helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and fun. The menu is great for breakfast, lunch, brunch or just a quick snack. The athletes' burrito is one of my favorites and I curse the friend who introduced me to it as now I crave it and must have it at least once a week. Go, stop by... bring friends, family meat eaters, vegans, vegetarians they have something for everyone and everyone will be thrilled and satisfied!!!

Yelp
Reliable and yummy! Bluestone lane is a tried and true breakfast and coffee spot for me and this location is no different. Their chimichurri folded eggs and green baked eggs are my two favorite breakfast food options. Bluestone lane is one of my favorite coffee chains because of their awesome variety of beverages. They have a great dirty chai and their turmeric golden latte is superb. The ambiance here is always fun for a chain as well as they have many outlets and provide a good space for casual working. It's also a fun atmosphere for an easy brunch or breakfast date.

Yelp
I've tried this place a few times. Although the staff is nice, they are inattentive and take quite a long time. I ordered toast and jam and it took almost 15 minutes at the to-go window. There was maybe one other patron there at the time. They didn't seem to care. Coffee is pretty good. I just have only had subpar experiences here.

Shlomi T.

Yelp
Ordered the BL vegetarian Brekkie and I regret it big time. Where is the proportion of the baby Kale?? Avocado flavorless? Canned mushrooms? Seriously?? Why no dressing on the side? Especially when it's a delivery order. Wasn't even able to lift the bread it was swimming in it's dressing

Yelp
Craving breakfast early in the morning and you're around the Wilshire/Third Street area of LA? This place is the place to grab a hearty meal and definitely made fresh. They serve coffee, usual breakfast staples like pancakes, eggs...etc. and a good ol' breakfast burrito. If you don't feel like driving over here to pick up or dine in, you can also order online. They are found on most of the major food delivery apps. They make pretty good strong coffee, from a cold brew or to a latte. Their breakfast burritos are as fresh as it gets. Soften avocado, crispy bacon, and hints of salsa. They also have fresh pastries if you have more of a sweet tooth in the mornings. Overall it was a pretty good place to try and service is decent. Recommend checking this place out if your in this neighborhood.
google avatar

Alana B.

Yelp
A little underwhelming. I've been to three locations where I live in NYC and all are outstanding, especially in comparison to the flavor and service at this location. Beyond bringing the food to the table, the server never returned and half of our order was never entered. Had to get up to let them know 15 minutes in, because they never checked on us. This was a Sunday morning around 10:30, they weren't busy.
google avatar

Nijole T.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite coffee chains! Their Aussie latte is my go to, the coffee is delicious and flavorful, you can taste the quality of their products. They add a scoop of vanilla ice cream, which is just round it off for a perfect pick me up afternoon, treat! Be sure to download the app to save time in line and obtain their offers. Highly recommend it!
google avatar

Hannah S.

Yelp
The croissant sandwich was delicious (the croissant itself was something I'd order just on its own!) and the coffee was perfect. It's located on a little street corner, and the interior is so cute. I can't wait to go back and try more.
google avatar

Morgan M.

Yelp
I love Bluestone. Avocado Toast is great and the drinks are delicious. WiFi is just ok for remote workers and can be confusing with ordering. Regardless I def recommend. It's super cute too! Just bring mosquito spray in summer for some reason they have been hanging outside this year.
google avatar

Ani A.

Yelp
Love the vibe here. I get the Big Brekkie which comes with half an avotoast and a granola parfait. I also enjoy the flat white coffee. Yum!!
google avatar

Kristina L.

Yelp
Aside from the fact that this place has the best drinks and food but even more importantly this place has the best people! Alexander Mazal the Area General Manager was able to resolve a mistake of his team in a delivery in the most professional and kind matter. He was the perfect example of amazing customer service! He has shown professionalism and kindness in addition to amazing customer service that I appreciated. It is very rare to see people like this these days!

Yelp
Meh. To me, it's overpriced for what it is. I also am not into the idea of ordering at a table, paying via phone and then having it arrive. Got two smoothies and some bowl thing. Nothing noteworthy, but not bad. Just not memorable. Maybe you'll like it, I dunno. For me it was worth it since wherever my initial place was had a long wait.
google avatar

Darcy L.

Yelp
What a cute little place and such a sweet surprise. Beautifully decorated and delicious Aussie coffee. The breakfast was yummy and the wait staff was lovely.
google avatar

Vi D.

Yelp
Please fix your phone line. Don't post a phone number that doesn't work. It's a horrible first impression for someone who is trying to contact your location. I came in there to eat and do some work. Service was fine because the place was empty. Manager was useless. Wouldn't be surprised if this place shuts down.

Jeffrey S.

Yelp
Nice staff. Great chai latte! The outdoor space is relaxing. Inside is cozy and the bathroom was very clean. Very cool place to chill.
google avatar

Venesse F.

Yelp
I love the way everything is decorated. The painted flowers both inside and outside are beautiful. The hanging plants from the ceiling add a chill vibe. Scan the QR code on the tables for the menu and you are able to order from your phone. That's perfect for parties that want to separate the orders/payments. The service and coffee are great. The avocado smash was delicious!
google avatar

Yelp
My fiancé and I have been coming here for a few years and have always liked it until today. We brought my mom and ordered the Big Brekkie and Breakfast Burrito. You order with a QR code and you tip ahead of time, but this method of ordering doesn't incentivize the servers to earn your tip and their lack of attention really shows. By the time the food came 15-20 minutes later we had to ask for water and silverware. My burrito was good but my fiancé's big brekkie was already lukewarm. Huge bummer when you're paying premium prices, a healthcare markup, and tips ahead of time. My breakfast burrito ended up costing $20+ and the big brekkie with a gluten-free toast upgrade came out to $27+. With so many breakfast/coffee shop options in the area, this is the last time that we'll bring our business to Bluestone on 3rd street. Also, one of the two toilets wouldn't flush. The trash at the shared sink was also overflowing.

Yelp
My husband & I went for a Sunday brunch. Walked in at 10am and sat right down, no wait! Waitstaff greeted us at the door, told us to sit anywhere. Told us we could use the QR code for the menu & to place our order when ready. I had a question about the menu but waitress never came back to the table after she sat us. Finally flagged someone else down to ask my question. Ordered the food through my phone. Someone brought it when it was ready. Then no one came by our table again the rest of the time we were there, or even looked in our direction. Good thing we didn't need anything. The app requires you to pay when you order, which means we tip ahead of time, too. I'm just not sure what I was tipping 20% for because I pretty much did everything except drop the food off at the table. Now for the food: We're both gluten free, I'm allergic to cow's milk & he's allergic to eggs, so you can imagine how challenging it is for us to find a good brunch spot with a menu we can both enjoy. I had gf avocado toast & an iced matcha green tea. Both were delicious!! Hubby had the breakfast bowl, said it was really good, too. I will definitely go back there for an occasionally treat, but it's a bit pricey to be my regular spot.
google avatar

Christian H.

Yelp
No matter how many times i try ordering. They always get it wrong. I always ask for the avocado toast with no feta cheese and they always add it. Two times i ordered the vegan wrap and it's weird they added cheese. I have my order saved with them on their app and seamless with very specific! Instructions so I can just click "reorder" 1 time! Sure, no worries it happens 2 times! Okay. Seriously! What's happening here? 3-4 times! Clearly you guys don't care at this point. You can't even call them because they know they don't want to deal with customers like this case. 5! Times! Ok. Why should i even keep trying?I also ordered an iced latte and got a hit latte! How the hell do you get those mixed up?!?

Yelp
This place was excellent! Food was exquisite and the service was fantastic. Very beautifully designed but surprisingly empty for a Saturday morning... ‍
google avatar

Yelp
We came here for brunch a little more than an hour before closing on Saturday. There weren't that many people dining there, which was surprising for a breakfast place on the weekend! The layout was kind of confusing with their new COVID structure. You just take any open table and then order from a very limited menu. Contrary to what's posted on the Yelp menus, this menu was mostly made up of wraps and avocado toast. I ended up ordering the chili eggs and my partner ordered the chicken sandwich. After about 30 minutes of waiting a server came over and asked if we'd gotten our food yet. We said no, he checked on the order, and said there was a problem with their system so they hadn't started yet. No worries, we weren't in a rush. When the food finally came, my partner's sandwich had avocado on it even though we'd ordered it without (he's allergic). We pointed this out and they offered to remake the sandwich. After about 10 more minutes they brought us a new sandwich, also with avocado on it. At this point they were about 15 minutes from close and we didn't want to ask for more corrections. We ended up leaving and picking up some drive through meal for my partner. The coffee was great and the food was okay. But it very much seemed like an "Instagram spot" that you go to for photos and coffee rather than an actual brunch meal. Everyone who worked there was SO nice, and we have absolutely no complaints regarding those who helped us. But overall, it was a subpar experience in regards to the food. I'd come back for coffee, but probably not to dine.

Jane G.

Yelp
Some people might like this place. I find it overpriced, and sort of awkward. You have to order outside at the window or when you walk inside, there's really no place to order except from a QR code at the table. Breakfast burrito had sheep milk feta cheese in it, which overwhelmed the whole thing and was pretty strange to me for a breakfast burrito. My smoothie was very watery and not very flavorful despite it being $10. Personally, I don't get it -- but if others enjoy this place, then that's great. All the drinks and coffee are on the expensive side as well, even for this area.

Yelp
Went here after getting a facial because who doesn't want to spike up their morning after having a relaxing moment? Coffee was pretty decent baristas are very lively. Nonetheless, a good coffee shop to grab and go.

Kimberly P.

Yelp
Their Avocado Smash toast is carcinogenic, they burn the bread (see picture).. also, the avocado was rotten, it had a lot of dark parts... these people don't care about their customers. Never going back.
google avatar

Alexander M.

Yelp
Been coming here for a while; always solid. Good coffee and solid food. Staff for the most part super friendly. Good place to knock out some work on the patio or with the flowers inside.
google avatar

Yelp
Love, love, love Bluestone Lane! Have been meaning to write a review for some time. The avocado toast is the best around. So yummy with the feta cheese and tomatoes, add a poached egg on top, bomb! I also love the matcha latte with oat milk and their smoothies (Keen green add matcha, thank me later). Service is always friendly and fast, you can really tell they work as a team!
google avatar

Andrew T.

Yelp
Great espresso! I stop by when I'm on this side of town. Definitely worth getting an americano over at bluestone
google avatar

Cade G.

Yelp
This place is great for breakfast or brunch. They serve breakfast all day and It's right on the corner of 3rd street. It also has indoor/outdoor seating. The staff was very friendly and were able to reccomend me the big brekkie vegetarian style. It came with a generous scoop of guacamole and fried cheese which i have never had before. They have gluten free bread which is delicious. Unfortunately our food had a hair in it. I confronted the server about he apologized/was more than happy to remake it. Unfortunately they don't take cash and the parking is street parking which is limited. Aside from the hair in my food, my experience was good

Yelp
Bluestone Lane on West 3rd St could be the most beautiful coffee shop in the area. This location, on the corner of West 3rd and Crescent Heights Boulevard, is extremely charming with nice seating options and a convenient take-out window. The service and coffee here is excellent. The shop is also referred to as the Bluestone Lane Flower Shop after the pre-existing flower shop which previously occupied the space. A florist remains on-site with bouquets available for take-out with coffee. From their colorful menu, I do recommend the matcha latte with almond milk.

Yelp
Good coffee and good vibes - we came here for brunch with our pup and their outdoor seating was spacious. It wasn't heated so I was a bit chilly, so next time I'd probably want to go when it's warmer or sit inside. We ordered: the big brekkie and the winter salad If you get the salmon with your big brekkie, they actually sub out the bacon, which was a slight disappointment, bc you pay an extra $6 for the salmon. I'm not entirely sure why you wouldn't get the bacon too if it's an additional cost. The big brekkie came with a good amount of avo though. The winter salad had really good beets. A little more interesting than the normal beet salad you would get anywhere else. But the salad in its entirety wasn't anything too special - definitely something you could easily make at home yourself. I liked the coffee and was impressed by the latte art the barista did with oat milk. I'd probably give this place a solid 4 star, if I didn't put the prices into consideration.

Yelp
I came here a few weeks ago with my coworkers for lunch. This place is absolutely adorable, with the hanging plants and succulents as a centerpiece for the restaurant. The food on other hand is nothing to get excited about. We were really excited to try their fried chicken sandwich after seeing the photos on yelp. When all of us took our first bites we were like mmm this is delicious but as we continued eating, this feeling of satisfaction quickly subsided. I think we were all waiting for that "kick" of flavor but it never came. One of the main ingredients is chimichurri sauce but actually, you never really taste it... or any other flavors for that matter. My coworker and I also shared the baked eggs and this was a bit bland as well. On the bright side, the lemonade I ordered was good? I asked for a mint lemonade but it just tasted like regular lemonade. TL;DR - cute ambiance; mediocre food

Yelp
WOOO, yes, after coming here several times, i am seriously a fan of Bluestone Lane Cafe! Today's lunch confirmed it. Today I had the fried chicken sanga, a fried chicken sandwich that was first recommended to me by one of the staff. Such a solid delicious fried chicken sandwich. If you just want a good flavorful sandwich that is not doused in hot sauce or over seasoned, definitely come to BlueStone Lane! They do bring out the Cholula if you want a spicy fried chicken sandwich but at least you have control. The BLAT, a BLT with avocado, is another great dish! A hearty sandwich this is definitely something i would buy in the future. And check out my pictures with the to-go box! It looks like a gift box! Great service, beautiful restaurant and ambiance, consistent good dishes- I am definitely a fan!!
google avatar

Prema R.

Yelp
I'm normally not much of a fan of super-health foods at restaurants, but my friend had been raving about this place, so we went there today. Boy, am I glad we went! I got the ancient grains and chicken, and it was absolutely DELICIOUS. The chicken breast was beauuutifully cooked--so juicy! And the grains and roasted carrots were so flavorful. The sauce/dressing for the dish was incredible, and it tied the overall dish together perfectly. I'm definitely going back.

Yelp
Two days ago I received a reply from the Bluestone Team regarding my recent 2 star review. Although I appreciate their feedback, I feel the need to respond to their reply since it seems that perhaps I was not as thorough enough in my most recent review in providing details as I should have been. A photo of the Blue Stone team reply is attached to this review. Read my most recent review and you will see why I gave this place a 2 star review, and after receiving a reply from the Blue Stone Lane Team you will might understand why my updated review is 1 star. As mentioned previously I did ask for an iced flat white, but what I failed to mention is that I *specifically asked the woman at the counter: "Are you guys able to make me an iced flat white? And her reply was "yes." Had she said no, I would have ordered my usual iced coffee / coffee on ice, or hot flat white, or cappuccino, or simply a black coffee but I digress. What irks me is the fact that the woman and man behind the counter handed me an espresso on ice with milk even though I specifically ordered a flat white on ice. Either they knew that they could not make an iced flat white and decided to service me something that kind of resembles it, or they might need more barista training. I've worked as a barista for 3 years and I know how to make a flat white. I make iced flat whites at home from time to time, and although they are not as glossy as a hot flat white, it is possible to make cold (or hot) foam and float it on top of iced espresso. I wished I had asked for the name of the women behind the counter so she could provide clarification of what occurred this day, but I did not. However, as the photo from my previous review can attest, My visit took place on 10/1/2020 and Nicholas was working the register. Perhaps you can ask him. As mentioned in my last review, I will come here again and give this place a shot as I do like to support local businesses (big or small) and I will be sure to come back and leave an updated review.

Yelp
Bluestone Lane - Flower Shop just opened at 7AM this morning. Apparently I was one of their first patrons. The place is gorgeous. Flowers are artfully painted on the walls, both interior and outside. The décor is colorful, cheerful and perfect for a Friday morning breakfast. Even the music and acoustics are spot on. The staff here are wonderful, clearly they carefully hired the best. I decided to try their rendition of eggs benedict. It had 2 perfectly poached eggs, some light lean flavorful prosciutto, greens, delicious toast finished off with classic hollandaise. With this delicious entrée came flawless crispy fingerling potatoes with just the right amount of salt. In fact, the potatoes were the highpoint of my breakfast as they were so darn good. My one constructive criticism: Please make sure the dish comes out hotter. I would have put everything on a very hot plate vs. using a room temperature plate. Hence the potatoes were getting cold 10 seconds after they were placed in front of me. I like my eggs benedict nice and hot, not at room temperature. All in all this is my new go to spot for coffee/brunch. I live down the block and am beyond pleased to have this establishment here. Thank you for adding value to my neighborhood.

Rachel S.

Yelp
Great staff! Food is great! Space is comfortable and inviting. Never crowded and service is quick and convenient. Love grabbing brunch here or a quick coffee. QR codes are on tables and the menu is simple.

Yelp
Avocado toast is amazing. The cute little boxes that come with make them taste better! Will be back

Yelp
Big fan of bluestone lane! The staff are very friendly and they offer a wide variety of drinks and food! I've only ever had the matcha latte from bluestone but I'm a big fan (of this location in particular) - I recently tried a matcha from the bluestone lane in Brentwood and it definitely tasted different.

Yelp
I desperately want to support this Aussie business but to say the meal was great would be a serious stretch. Food was cold, poorly prepared and over priced. Even the coffee was unimpressive. We alerted the staff and they attempted to fix it but even the second attempt didn't resolve the problems. The menu and ordering could use improvement too, in particular the tip slider. I was unable to leave the exact tip I wanted to because it wouldn't let me enter a number instead relying on a percentage slider with no option for digit entry. Also, asking for so much information in order to view the menu or use the WiFi (email and DOB!?)... It's just too much. For the positives... The staff are wonderful, very attentive and helpful. Well maintained restaurant and following Covid precautions very well. They were apologetic when we discussed the issues and gave us complimentary granola that we're looking forward to trying but overall we're really disappointed because we really wanted to love and support it as an Aussie in LA.
google avatar

Max S.

Yelp
Plates at a table with only 2 breakfasts shouldn't be arriving 10 minutes apart. If one dish takes longer to make (or bake), delay the start of the quicker meal so that both plates can hit the table together.
google avatar

Hillary H.

Yelp
Our favorite brunch spot in LA. Don't get me wrong, other places are good but overhyped. This spot is quiet and relaxed while also serving up high quality meals. We appreciate that the menu isn't filled with high sugar items and instead has stuff like sautéed mushrooms.

Maya G.

Yelp
Came here on a Friday for breakfast. The only reason why I put 2 stars is because of the service, our waitress was very nice and very accommodating. We ordered the banana bread, it was horrible, too much baking soda. The chicken and ancient grain plate was over cooked and mushy, and their matcha are way to strong.

Len A.

Yelp
My first time at Bluestone Lane cafe, corner of Crescent Heights and 3rd Street. Although my latte is very good, the cost of $4.93 for a small coffee, and when I say small, I didn't expect a cup smaller than a Tall sized Starbucks cup, this was definitely over priced for what you get. See photo with a box of matches as comparison. Not going so far as saying "rip off" but seriously over priced.

Barbara G.

Yelp
Tried Bluestone on the Westside and it lives up to the hype! All around a great experience from the staff to the service and delicious and fresh food without a long wait. A definite recommend!
google avatar

Sofia N.

Yelp
Almost $4 for a single shot of espresso. Barista couldn't make it a long espresso (caffè lungo) because he said it wasn't possible on his machine which I find very hard to believe. No water was offered to accompany the espresso and when I asked, the barista made it seem like I was bothering him. The espresso was just ok, nothing special -- too expensive and pretentious here. I won't be back.

Zoe T.

Yelp
A favorite go to for a late breakfast. Despite being right there at the intersection the fenced off patio is perfectly calm and plenty of room inside if you want to be there. Love the lemon ricotta pancakes if really treating myself. Basically great service, great food.
google avatar

Yelp
A very aesthetic, Australian cafe located centrally in the W 3rd area that's a hotspot for restaurants. Seating available both inside and outside. Interior decor is very chic and pretty; outside there are a few colorful wall murals that add to the cute ambiance. This location's a bit "fancier" than their La Brea location as it's full-service and has more entree food options. Came for brunch, and the brunch menu offers a variety of items, including toasts, breakfast burrito, salads/bowls, etc. Lots of coffee drinks as well as other options like matcha and turmeric lattes for non-coffee drinkers. Food was good not phenomenal. More of a spot I'd seek out when looking for a cute environment and space to leisurely enjoy coffee/brunch, rather than a place I'd come solely for some bomb food.
google avatar

Hannah N.

Yelp
We stopped a Bluestone for a late lunch during the weekend and were quickly seated outside. We got the avocado toast and green baked eggs, both were good portion sizes for the price but definitely on the lighter side. The service was ok, our waitress disappeared for a while after we finished eating so it took 20 mins just to pay. I'd come back for a quick bite to eat when I'm in the area!
google avatar

Mikey W.

Yelp
Of all the things that Australia does well, brekkie and coffee might be some of my most beloved cultural contributions. This place definitely does Aussies proud in their execution. The coffee was excellent, the food heavenly and the atmosphere is pretty damn cool. They have a big outdoor patio as well as ample seating inside, and even a outdoor takeaway counter. Even though the place was packed for Sunday brunch, the service was fast and attentive and the food came out pretty quickly. Will definitely be coming back here to satiate my brekkie cravings!

Yelp
I stopped by Bluestone Lane after seeing all the great reviews!! It's such a cute brunch spot in LA if you want a change from Joans on Third. There were plenty of seats, as we came on a weekday! They offer a half avocado toast/half parfait, which is perfect for me because I like to try lot of different things! I think we also got the benedict, which was good too. Amazing customer service, great food, there's no reason not to come here and try it out. PARKING: metered street parking. I actually got lucky and was able to find parking right in front :)
