Google
Yall… my hopes where high. Genuinely was looking forward to a good brunch spot which the reviews seemed to steer towards but this place.. somewhat regret going. Getting in, a long wait to be seated (expected), waiting to get my order taken, a long wait. Waiting for the food to come, a long wait, waiting for to pay the bill, a long wait. And for all that that time spent inside the restaurant the food was just alright. “Crème brûlée waffles” don’t recommend, a hard sugar crust (traditional to a Crème brûlée) smashed into pieces on top of barely sweetened waffles. Half of it was inedible while the rest was just not enough.. four little mini waffles which granted is creative, doesn’t seem to have the satisfaction of proper stacked waffles nor did it have enough of the “Crème” to moisten or sweeten it. Though, the “battata harra” (breakfast potatoes or country style fries) was acceptable, well seasoned and tasted like the traditional Levantine dish I’ve had in more authentic middle eastern restaurant so that was the crowning jewel of this meal. Overall I didn’t expect much when I came and left pretty disappointed. The atmosphere was nice and a lot of people seemed to be excited by the way it looked but truly it left much to be desired.. Come if you have 2 hours and a taste for something ok. 3 Stars and that’s generous.

BLVD Brunch is a great place to get excellent breakfast food. It is a very busy spot. My wait for a table was minimal and the servers were courteous, prompt and polite. I was seated at the window, in what could be described as kind of a communal dining experience for smaller parties. My meal actually went to the person sitting next to me and I was offered someone’s black coffee. All of that was easily remedied and everything was still hot when it got to the correct person. The menu is halal and offers interesting alternatives to pork including; turkey bacon, chicken sausage and salmon bacon. I ordered the Grandma’s Breakfast which included eggs, meat and pancakes. I had really tasty eggs that were fluffy and seemingly only yolks. I am not a fan of turkey bacon but theirs was cooked very well and had a crispness that is often missing from turkey bacon. The pancakes were fluffy and light. All of the beverages were served in disposable containers which was a noticeable style choice. I wished my server had come around to top off my water before the bill came and offered a lid as I left. Payment is made immediately at your table via a handheld device so be certain you know if you are going to give your server a tip because you have to pay at that moment. I will return for brunch. Sunday is the best day to come because parking is free, otherwise you would have to be at a meter or in a lot, both of which are in the area.

They were out of the ingredients for the drink I wanted, so I ordered a latte. It arrived warm instead of hot and the food order took longer than expected, for a single meal. The staff was friendly, and the café has a small, quaint atmosphere. I will patronize this cafe if i'm in the area. Would not go out my way to come here.

Google
I loved my experience at BLVD Brunch House! This is a new restaurant that opened last year. We came on a Sunday afternoon and it was packed - definitely recommend making a reservation! Luckily we were seated right away. I enjoyed my chicken and waffles, but the pancakes were the star of the show! I also loved their strawberry lemonade. Prices are great and service is very friendly!

If your traveling to the Midwest city of Detroit Mi make sure you add The BLVD to your bucket list. I promise the delicious smell will greet you at the door! And when it comes to the food, everything was so good I had to do a double take to make sure that someone's granny wasn't kidnapped in the kitchen. The atmosphere was comfortable and the staff made it their mission to make me feel at home. I'd definitely go back and recommend that everyone make there way on down to the BLVD. Make sure you ask for Lai Lai

Google
BEST. BRUNCH. EVER. Literally the tastiest and crunchiest chicken and waffles. By far shocked by the menu variety and unique options. Salmon bacon was new and tasted fantastic. Plenty of options for everyone. Got to meet the owner and he was so charismatic and kind. Always attentive and walking around helping/talking to customers just as much as servers. PLEASE SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE !!!!!!

Google
The food here was magnificent! I ordered the Oreo waffles, and they were hands-down the best waffles I’ve ever had — perfectly fluffy, rich in flavor, and beautifully presented. The customer service was also outstanding — the staff was friendly, attentive, and made me feel welcome. My only disappointment was that they didn’t have pork sausage available, which I was really looking forward to. Other than that, everything was fantastic, and I’ll still be coming back!

Yelp
I've only had the chicken tenders and waffles. I loved the fluffy small waffles , they were soft and sweet. The chicken was seasoned well! But it was wet/soggy. Very disappointed that they don't have any veggies, none at all, only meat, bread , eggs and potatoes , well a Caesar salad as well. But they mentioned that because they are a brunch spot , they don't have vegetables.... The service is decent . I love the ambiance of the restaurant , the decor is nice .

Yelp
Cozy, clean vibe perfect for brunch. My cousins a friend and I stopped by after hearing good things. Our waitress was friendly, but we ended up waiting quite a while for our food. After asking, we were told there was a large group ahead of us. The dining room was nearly empty aside from that group, us, and one other family, so maybe they were short-staffed. Either way, the wait was longer than I'd prefer. Thankfully, the food made up for it. I had the grits and the sujuk croissant. The grits were great, but the croissant had a tomato paste-like spread that didn't quite work for my palate. My cousin Samantha had the crème brûlée French toast and grilled cheese with tomato soup--and yes, I had more than a few bites of that French toast. So good! Zeek ordered the CBLT with fried chicken, and Andres got the classic chicken and waffles. I'm big on lattes, and theirs tasted like Christmas in a cup, comforting and full of flavor. Despite the wait, the good food and friendly staff won me over. Plus, it gave us plenty of time to catch up. I'd give it another shot!

Yelp
Absolutely amazing. The service was a little slow but they were sweet. It was only one waitress for the whole place she did the best she could, so she had my grace. The food was great. Idk if you can tell because I ate before I could get a picture lol but I love that everything is halal - they don't sale alcohol. No pork which I love since I don't eat it.. I had the French toast, beef bacon and hash browns. My guest enjoyed their omelet as well. Great experience and I will be back

Yelp
Once again one my visit to the D I always like to try new spots. The place off of W Grand Blvd near the hospital. Nice size not too big and not too small. Parking is ok. There was no wait when we arrived as soon as we sat down a waitress was at the table. It was very open you can see them cooking friend vibe inside. The corn beef hash and eggs were on point not too salty, perfectly seasoned. Shrimp and grit were good the sauce seasoned nicely. You can never go wrong with a breakfast sandwich and potatoes. Only thing sandwich hand way to much cheese and I would a preferred it melted. But all in all the service and the food was great and a definite try if you are in Detroit.

Yelp
Omg what a hidden gem! From the start Rinna was an excellent waitress! Very knowledgeable about the menu. We went here for a girls brunch. We ordered a little of everything! First my favorite was the sojuk croissant. The flavor was middle eastern. So flavorful! Next the Ashta pancakes- we're so good! There were plenty to share with us and probably a fourth person. The creme brulee waffles were beautifully plated and tasted just as good! The peach cobbler French toast was amazing. The chicken came with chicken strips instead of wings which made it juicer! Like I said we shared everything and there wasn't anything left! The waffles were fluffy the fries were cubed and crispy on the outside but soft on the outside which was great! There is plenty of seating and parking is manageable. I def would recommend this spot if you want excellent food!

Yelp
This was a nice brunch spot. I will certainly visit this location again. There were about 6 of us and we have a baby. They provided a high chair, which it's been so long since I've had a baby, I didn't even think of it . We ordered our food. Now we did have to wait a bit for our food to arrive at the table and we saw another customer get their own food from the counter because the waitress was taking so long and no it wasn't super crowded. There were several empty tables, but, we waited patiently. The food was good, and we noticed what looked to be the manager on the floor making this happen . My God Sister ordered fish and t was fried too hard and she could only get half way through her meal -when we told him the manager took it off her bill. Everyone else enjoyed the experience and the ambiance as well as the food. The price was affordable and really not too bad like

Yelp
The food was good, service was good. It was busy the day I went but not too busy where service was slow. Parking can be a challenge on the Blvd. I would definitely return to try other menu items!

Yelp
I really loved this place. Dropped in after a morning walking around Eastern Market. They have an interesting menu of traditional breakfast and lunch favorites with a bit of a Mediterranean twist. The food was good. Service was right on. Our server was friendly and the food came fast. The decor is neat and up to date. Casual, but comfortable too. Will go again. Give it a try.

Yelp
Staff is amazing, Coffee and food was amazing. Staff are super nice. It was a great breakfast date for me and my wife.

Yelp
Service was unacceptable Had a reservation, waited to be greeted, waited 15 mins on water. Watched everyone get seated and greeted properly. And waited 45 min on food, to be told my food will be coming up after a party of five whom was seated twenty minutes after I arrived. On top of that was asking for a substitute, she refused to ask everyone does eat pork

Yelp
Food was great. I recommend the croissant sandwiches and the French toast. Chill place during the week (we came on a Tuesday). The service was great, they let my wife order a meal and put the bacon on my plate since she is a vegetarian.

Yelp
Here is the thing- all the reviews complaining about the slow service are true. It took forever to get plain waffles (they ran out of whipped cream...how??) and a simple breakfast platter. Food was def good. It's a nice clean place with good people but I feel there are places with just as good food and better service.

Yelp
omg, stopped here after a appointment in the city and i gotta say best pancakes and the best sourdough bread i ever had ( literally didn't even have to add butter) !!! the whole breakfast was really good. our waitress was amazing even gave us inside info on that sourdough lol. the lay out was really cool too u could be on the main floor or up a lil by the window such a cute little place. everything was amazing would definitely recommend and go back when in the area

Yelp
Food- Great Service- Poor had a reservation was seated 10 minutes prior, waited 30 minutes for server to come around. Server took beverage order and was still delayed in bringing beverages. Food order taken 45 minutes into seating and served food an hour and 20 minutes later without server checking on us. Manager had an attitude and was inconsiderate about the timing of the meal. Witnessed 3 parties leave that were seated in similar timeframe. My friend and I stayed, because ultimately we wanted to try the food. It was great, but not worth the ridiculous wait and rude overworked management. I know demand is high, but customer service is priority. Noticed better service provided certain parties. Do better. People are watching and observing as they wait. i want this restaurant to succeed. So hopefully they really hear me and be more considerate to the customers. Ambience was Mid.

Yelp
The music was better than the food and service. I order bacon, eggs, potatoes and pancakes. The pancakes taste sour. When I ordered a coffee the spoon was bought out without a napkin and handed to me by the server. The serve did not have a sense of urgency or any personality or optimism. I was not impressed and will not visit again.

Ted W.

Yelp
Great varied menu,.good tasting food, ample portions, great wait staff, relaxed vibe. What is not to like!

Kim H.

Yelp
Great food with super friendly service! Eid Mushroom has was delicious. Loved the crispy potatoes! Oreo pancakes were also delicious and well balanced--very sweet but oh so yummy! The ambiance was elevated with fun Motown music playing.

Yelp
What a disaster. We had a 1pm reservation. Got seated and waited for an ENTIRE HOUR and never got food put in front of us! I ordered a cold chai latte and that arrived after 30 minutes of ordering. And that was it. We didn't order much either. To top it Orr we were handed plastic forks, napkins and knives in plastic wrap like some fast food restaurant surplus stock! Plastic cups from some other restaurant were also used. The place was packed with customers but hardly anyone had food in front of them. Whoever is managing this place needs to be ashamed. And frankly I'm TIRED of businesses giving predominately black clientele SUBSTANDARD SERVICE! This crap is unacceptable! So after sitting for an HOUR we decided to leave. I left $5 bill for the mediocre chai tea and left pissed off and still hungry. Do better or shut it down!
