We loved the ambiance and design of the restaurant! The lighting was great (not too dark) and the music was great and not too loud. We loved our waitress, Tisha and our table side salad performer, Kelly! We got to meet the manager, Tony who was super hospitable and genuine! Favorite dish by far was the King Crab Ceviche! Highly recommend BOA!

our server Dean provided excellent service and made our first dinning experience at BOA memorable along with his fellow staff who provide table side services. Tony, sommelier, has a wonderful wine list/program. He took time to talk wine with us when he could. We ended up leaving with 4 bottles, lol the food was perfectly prepared for our needs. the wine was absolutely fabulous and the ambiance was on point for a husband & wife date night! We will definitely be back!

The entire staff at Boa Austin went above and beyond to make our celebrations (birthday/engagement) extra special. Thank you so much. From the host, manager to our wonderful server, you guys were great. Goat cheese Baklava, Caesar salad, Australian wagyu, and the date dessert were delicious. The food, drinks, dessert, ambiance and service were beyond 10/10. We will definitely be back next time we’re in Austin.

We celebrated our anniversary here and had a wonderful time. Patrick, our server, was fantastic, and made our even delightful. The starters were delicious, the steak one of the best I had in the USA, and the drink were fun and beautiful. We would definitely come back again.

Having been twice now, I can confidently say BOA has reached the top of my list of amazing restaurants in downtown Austin. The service is consistent and considerate while the food quality is amazing and delicious. Everything is a little bit more on the pricey side, but it’s downtown so it’s understandable. It’s well worth the price given the superb service. The caviar cones with potato are fun and a must have. I am also a huge fan of the goat cheese baklava! I especially love the Hokkaido scallops, it’s probably one of the best I’ve ever had. I also highly recommend the mushrooms and Mac & cheese on the side. Don’t skip out on dessert because their sticky toffee pudding is so decadent while the butterscotch drizzle adds the perfect amount of sweetness.

Great service and very knowledgeable staff. The waiter was clear with his presentation of the menu and made everything sound delicious. Food was amazing, from appetizers to the dessert. Highly recommend it, worth the price, and will definitely return.

My friend and I went on a whim to Boa and we were not disappointed. No reservations so we sat at their high top area, thankfully the full dinner menu was available. Our meal was flavorful, the carrot cake was delectable and the cocktails were dangerous. My only critique is their choice to serve potato chips with the caviar. Chips completely overpowered the caviar.

Our server, Jordan made sure we had a fantastic evening. Her recommendations were spot on, and everything we tried was spectacular. The best part of the service is that everyone who walked by our table from the general manager to the guy topping up for water. we’re extremely friendly. We were celebrating our anniversary, and we were surprised we were able to get in, but everything worked out perfectly! We shared the Bonan ribeye, and the Tello fat fries as our entrée, but we started off with the rolls, the baklava, and the king crab ceviche. Everything was spectacular if I had it still over again I would’ve skipped the ceviche because it didn’t go along with the rest of our dinner, but it’s a great option.

Service was amazing. Everyone at the table except me got steak and loved it. I had the seabass and would not recommend it at all. Flavor was terrible and very over cooked. Sides were very good and the birthday dessert was special.

Probably one of the best steakhouses in Austin! This California transplant has made a big impression on the local dining scene. I came here for happy hour with a friend, and everything was fantastic from start to finish. We started with a glass of red wine for me and the BOA Smash for my friend. They offer a great selection of cocktails priced around $9-10 during happy hour. For food, we both chose the smash burger and shared an order of Thai chili wings. Everything was excellent, and I was impressed by the high-quality Wagyu beef they offered at such a reasonable price. For dessert, we had the sticky toffee cake, served with vanilla ice cream and topped with a sparkler. It was definitely a showstopper, and the manager even came out to serve it to us! The service was top-notch as well as super attentive and the restaurant itself is absolutely gorgeous. I'm already dreaming about coming back here to celebrate my next special occasion!

Shut down on a Friday night! Booked an early dinner to celebrate my wife's birthday. Got there early to enjoy some happy hour cocktails before sitting down to what we anticipated would be a great meal. Waitress delivered our drinks and mentioned there was a potential kitchen issue brewing but they were working on it. Within 10 minutes we were notified the restaurant was closing due to a hood vent issue. They could not fix it and without a hood they would not be able to use the stove. We were given our check and told they would help us set up a reservation elsewhere. And for our troubles we could leave our name and they would give us a free appetizer on our next visit. They were kind enough to pull my car out of valet and return my keys. But they never offered to buy our first round. Very disappointing for a high end place. I feel bad for the employees who had to go home for the evening with zero money. We ended up at III Forks which was absolutely amazing. It was a good upgrade overall. Can't blame them for an equipment failure but the least they could have done was to comp our round of drinks before kicking us out.

AMAZING!!!!! I am a few weeks late in writing this review due to the holiday season, but having been a BOA fan since LA, we were so excited when Austin was getting one! When it opened, we took family and friends there to experience the food and atmosphere they are known for, and it didn't disappoint. So when it came time to celebrate my birthday with my twin sister and a group of girlfriends, we booked here for a fun night before seeing a show. The night's details are unimportant, but it wasn't a great experience, and when their General Manager, Sam, got wind of it, he reached out to me directly to make it right, and boy, did he! With my twin sister still in town (our birthday is before Thanksgiving), we went back in with my husband and had outstanding service by the Boa Team. Sam, Ariana, and Tony (I believe that was his name) ensured we were more than taken care of so that the food and wine didn't stop coming. The interaction with the staff was wonderful. You would've never guessed the other night had happened. Truly living up to why we were orginal fans of the restaurant, its service, and its atmosphere in the first place. After dinner, Sam gave us a tour of some of their private rooms, as we host many corporate dinners and lunches with work that he will no doubt continue to get our business, whether we are celebrating something personally or entertaining clients! In the food industry, you can always have a bad/off night--that's a given--but seeing how a restaurant (at this level) handled those situations when they impacted a special occasion speaks volumes. How Sam and his team went above and beyond is not something I will forget, especially having grown up in this town. RUN! Don't walk here; the food and service are impeccable, and I could not recommend them enough!! Excellent Service! Excellent Food! Excellent Hospitality and an Excellent Vibe!!!

Visited BOA for dinner to celebrate an anniversary and it did not disappoint! BOA is a whole vibe and everything about it is amazing! From the food and drinks, to the impeccable staff - it's a home run to eat here! They have so many choices for appetizers, mains and sides. The Wagyu Meatball and the table-side Caesar salad was absolutely delicious! The Wagyu Ribeye was cooked perfectly and was flavorful, as was the Branzino fish! The sides - lobster mac n cheese and the smashed broccoli were off the chart amazing! You can't go wrong with any of the options here. The staff was super attentive, explained the menu options, gave great recommendations and made the experience phenomenal! Inside the restaurant, the atmosphere was chic and trendy, with a variety of seating options. It's located in Downtown Austin on 6th St. If there was a 10-star review option, I'd give it - it's that's good! Thanks BOA for making a celebration, that much more phenomenal!

This restaurant offered an incredible dining experience, with food that was nothing short of amazing and service that surpassed all my expectations! The staff went above and beyond to ensure that all our needs were met. The charming ambiance added to the overall experience, making it the perfect setting for celebrating my girlfriend's birthday. We truly had a wonderful time. If you find yourself in the Austin area, this place is an absolute must-try!!!

Spent the whole night here last Friday! I met w few girl friends for dinner with a 6:15pm reservation. Some were running late so we didn't get say until 7pm and the host was very accommodating. We stayed at our table for 4 hours talking, order drinks, apps, table side cedar, steak, pasta, and desert (all deserts come out sparkling!) and they did not rush us at all. That's my biggest let peeve with nice restaurants but they really let us take is slow and enjoy the evening there. Everything was delicious and service was 10/10. It's super cute inside too and it did get busy on this Friday night. Definitely will each at again!

Came here for our anniversary dinner and I absolutely loved it. The ambience, the staff, the food - all amazing. Our server was Angel and he really made it an enjoyable visit. We probably ordered way too much food but there was so much we really wanted to try. From the Caesar salad prepared at the table to the buttered rolls and wagyu meatball, appetizers were on point. I ordered branzino and it was delicious. The skin was perfectly crispy and the sauce and peppers a nice compliment. We also had the smashed broccoli and lobster Mac and cheese - delish!! I enjoyed the Clean for my cocktail, it was light and refreshing. I also appreciated the staff helping us celebrate. They had Happy Anniversary cards waiting for us on the table and gave us dessert as well. Angel recommended the sticky toffee and it did not disappoint. It was sweet but divine! Overall such a nice visit in a beautiful place. Highly recommend.

BOA Steakhouse is hands down the best steakhouse in Austin right now. Since they opened back in June, we've already been three or four times, and every visit has been incredible. We even get the same server each time, which makes the experience feel extra special--they remember our names, where we like to sit, and even details from past conversations. For example, we went for my birthday once, and when we returned a month later, the server remembered and asked how the birthday trip went. That kind of personal touch is rare and shows how much they care about their guests. BOA is truly creating something magical with their service and attention to detail. As for the food--everything on the menu is a perfect 10. You really can't go wrong. If you're unsure, ask your server for recommendations--they always nail it. BOA Steakhouse has quickly become my favorite spot in Austin, and I can't recommend it enough!

From the front door and all throughout it looks pretty nice. There is only 2 reasons why this is not a 5 for me. The seating policy (all guest in the party have to be there in order to be seated, and the drinks). We had the pleasure of having Conner as our server and he was fantastic. Conner was friendly, which is what we needed for our girls night dinner. He was very knowledgeable about the menu. He gave suggestions and answered questions and helped us decide between dishes. Not only that, he checked on us periodically without over doing it. Oh I forgot to mention he brought us a complimentary truffle potato croquette from the chef. Two of the girls in our group had the spaghetti and meatballs since a patron that was on the street suggested it, and Conner confirmed it! Both friends liked it however one said it was slightly under seasoned and asked for some hot sauce. Different kinds of hot sauces were brought to the table as options. I had the lamb chops. The lamb chops were some of the best lamb chops I have ever had. The lamb chops were seasoned well and they were moist. I loved the pomegranate and Tzatziki style sauce that accompanied it. I also ordered the Brussel sprouts which were pretty good. I wish they were a bit more charred. The Caesar salad was for the table but it was more like 1 1/2 to 2 servings so if you really plan on sharing you have to get multiple. The salad was made table side. I liked it but would have liked a little bit more cheese for creaminess. The 2 drinks I ordered had a good amount of alcohol but I feel like it needed more flavor I got one menu item and one side car. It was almost as if it was too much ice when shaken or something. My friend enjoyed her off menu lemon drop so I guess it a preference thing. I am glad we chose this restaurant and when in town I would love to try out happy hour.

What a beautiful restaurant! The interior is amazing, I loved the lounge area while you wait for a table. You are able to order drinks with a server while you wait but we skipped since we had a short 5 minute wait. We started with drinks. I had La Quebrada, which was sweeter than I anticipated but was so delicious and strong! We started with a salad to share. Since my boyfriend is vegan, we were able to order the Grilled Baby Gem with the goat cheese on the side. Recommend if you love truffle! Next was the main courses. Petite Filet Mignon was ordered Medium, seemed more like medium well. But it was still very delicious with the salt they use to season. Mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese were both great as well! Boyfriend had the Cauliflower Milanese which he liked! We are so happy they had vegan options for him! We also ordered the Sauteed Mushrooms and would skip, nothing stand out and didn't realize they were $16 :/. Would definitely return!

BOA was phenomenal! Wife had booked a reservation for us for my birthday so I was really looking forward to it. Ambiance inside was beautiful. Perfectly dimmed (not too light/not too dark) and the entire staff was incredibly friendly. Everyone that helped us at our table wished me a happy birthday, which I thought was a really nice touch (great service!) The food was spectacular. We took all their suggestion and didn't regret a single one. The waitress even talked me down from one of the steaks I was going to go with to a different one, which was cheaper actually. That doesn't happen often! This is one of the rare examples in Austin where the price point properly aligns with the ambiance, service, and food. We loved it!

This upscale restaurant is sleek, modern, and truly stunning! The ambiance and service made for an unforgettable experience. Since it was our first visit, our waiter, Connor, graciously served us a complimentary bubbly drink. My boyfriend and I chose two cocktails: the blackberry smash and the bee blossom. Both were refreshing and perfectly balanced. For appetizers, we tried the Parker house rolls, hamachi crudo, and grilled baby gem salad. The rolls were soft and buttery, complemented by the onion chive butter. The hamachi crudo was outstanding--refreshing with a surprising twist of celery. If you're a fan of truffle, the baby gem salad is a must-try. While it was occasionally a bit tangy, the fresh truffle and truffle vinaigrette were exquisite. For the main course, I had the fresh cut mafaldine pasta, which was cooked to perfection and paired wonderfully with a cheesy, nutty pistachio pesto. My boyfriend ordered the linguine, but unfortunately, it was quite salty and the clams were overcooked. After informing our waiter, the manager quickly addressed the issue by offering to comp the dish and replace it. The lobster fra diavolo arrived within minutes, and my boyfriend found it to be incredible. We appreciated the prompt resolution! For dessert, we chose the sticky toffee cake. It was one of the best desserts I've ever had! The warm, fluffy cake with sweet toffee sauce, paired with cold ice cream, achieved the perfect balance of sweetness. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant. It's ideal for a date night or special celebration. A big thank you to our waiter, Connor, for making our evening exceptional!

Service: Devon was a stellar server and deserves a five-star review. He guided us in ordering the best items on the menu, based on what we were looking for, and anticipated all our requests, including split checks. Devon was friendly and attentive throughout the entire dinner, making our experience exceptional. Dining Experience: From the welcome drink and amuse-bouche to dessert, we had a great time. The highlights for us were the Goat Cheese Baklava, Caesar Salad, and Sticky Toffee Pudding. Cocktails: Each cocktail came with its own dramatic presentation, adding a fun element to the meal. I ordered the Saint Tropica (zaya gran reserva, green chartreuse, lime, liquid alchemist coconut, pineapple, orange bitters served flaming). Tableside Salad: The tableside Caesar Salad, with Kelly as the master salad maker, was a delightful mix of dinner and a show--an experience we thoroughly enjoyed. Ambiance: It was a festive atmosphere being a Friday night. Everyone there seemed to be having a great time, ready to kick off the weekend. Price: Be ready to pay because this is not a cheap meal, but the experience is well worth it. Overall: We had a great time and will definitely come back. The happy hour seemed popular, so we'll be sure to try that next time!

I sure hope BOA keeps this consistency with their quality food be a I was blown away, and I will be expecting this everytime! The cocktails were on point. The table side ceases salad was a nice touch. However what took the cake was that juicy and flavorful wagyu steak!!! Hands down one of the best streaks I have ever eaten!!! I have been dreaming of it ever since!! The service was great! I liked that they actually have a separate are for birthdays and other celebrations. They gave us a complimentary beverage to toast for my friend's birthday. It was a nice gesture. I highly recommend trying this place out if you're looking for a nice steakhouse with great service and ambiance.

I came here for happy hour on Friday. Sitting at the bar or high tops gives you HH rates on their cocktails/drinks/apps. Amanda was really sweet and attentive. Tony, the manager, came by and gave us a special dessert and chatted with us about the restaurant. I was with a fellow Yelp Eliter, we had both gone to Sushi Roku, their sister restaurant, for a past Yelp Elite event. Both places are really nice--aesthetics, service and food. Get the toffee and caramel bundt cake with ice cream. The Boa Smash was a great drink. burger and boneless wings were nicely seasoned. I will add this to my go to for HH places but also I am considering their private room for a future bday celebration!

Pros: - Creative cocktails - Amazing food - Gorgeous decoration/interior - Friendly staff - Valet parking - Ambiance - Lively and upscale Side Notes: - Street parking/garages avail - Make reservations in advance - Walk-ins avail (be prepared to wait) - 5 PM - 10 or 11 PM (FRI/SAT - 11 PM) - Proper attire is suggested What We Got: - Espresso Martini x 1 - Smoke Show x 1 - Fashion Forward x 1 - Custom drink with whisky :) - Tuna Tartare (SO GOOD) - Crispy Fries with Truffle - Corn Creme Brûlée - Japanese F-1 Filet What We Loved: Design: It's gorgeous and takes me back to BOA in LA but with a refresher in design, aesthetics, and overall layout. We sat at the bar to engage with the staff (incredible!), and the room/space there was perfect without feeling too tight. Food: The food was damn good, haha. Paired with the drinks, it's fun to get mixologists who care about what they do and welcome you with open arms (thank you, Brittany + Layton + crew!). The drinks were spot on, and it was even better when they started to make creative drinks. The food we ate was so good that it's hard to pick a favorite, but that F-1 Japanese filet with blackened crust and a few dipping sauces was so good. You don't need sauce, but we wanted to try the signature j-1 and béarnaise. Staff: The Bar staff was great, and the host who kept trying to sit us down and find a spot (we were walk-ins) thank you for helping us! We only interacted a little with the wait staff as we sat at the bar, but everyone seemed very friendly. Opportunities To Improve: This was the soft opening, but with a big brand that takes care of the X's and O's, it was a great experience. Even with a whole house with reservations, we waited by the bar to get seated, and after one drink, we got seats. I'd love to hear music that reminds me of LA (everything from Kaytranada and Odesza to some Frank Ocean), but it's a great spot. Summary: It is one of the best steakhouses in Austin, period. I can't wait to go back soon!

BOA steakhouse is a welcome addition to our Austin food scene. I love steak, and discovered my love for Japanese A5 Wagyu during a trip to Tokyo. Who would have thought that years later BOA would be bringing a taste of Japan to Texas? Everything we had was delicious and decadent. Drinks were balanced perfection and rivals some of the best cocktail venues. The evening doesn't stop there: if you like bone marrow, BOA couples it with beef rib! That's right, double beef! Both of our steaks were cooked to perfection and of course we had to try the wagyu sampler. If you love steak, this is a must order!

BOA Steakhouse was an incredible experience and I would definitely come back. I came here during their soft opening, and the entire staff was on their A game. The interior is clean and modern, and the restaurant is located between west and dirtyish sixth. We were greeted with welcome cocktails, which were refreshing and delightful. For food we ordered: Tuna tartare: The tuna was delicious and fatty. The caviar however was on the bitter side which took away from the experience. I would say I have had better but still good. Hamachi Crudo: I absolutely loved this dish. It was bright, refreshing, and fresh. I loved how the lemon was incorporated in the dish. Lobster Fra Diavolo: this was the most disappointing dish of the night. The lobster was overcooked so it was very chewy and not enjoyable. The pasta sauce was amazing though. The tomatoes were tasty and it had a nice heat from the chilis. Ribeye: the ribeye was perfectly medium rare. A5 Wagyu: Really good. Would definitely recommend if you wanna splurge. Overall we had a great dinner, and would definitely recommend to anyone who loves steak or wants to celebrate a special occasion!

We had the lobster tails, the tallow fries, a steak and a couple of appetizers. All expertly done. So, the food itself is great, but it comes faster than a fast food place. You order it- it's on the table! There's no sense of timing and pace that you'd expect at a restaurant of this caliber. Either way, we felt rushed. Drinks came slower than the food (which was fine) and were clearly full pours but lacked flavor. (And the martini, asked for extra cold) was barely cold when it arrived. Wine list was extensive and deep on European wines which we enjoyed. Service is good, and can I add "overly friendly"? I know how that sounds, but seriously, we didn't come here to have dinner with YOU. A little chat, fine. But when you're lingering and asking follow up questions about everyone's personal history.... Sorry if that sounds harsh. I certainly like friendly service but there's also an appropriate limit. Last, the ambient temp- it was overly warm in there. When we asked if it was us, one of the staff told us the building controls it and they are always sweating. Feel sorry for those folks. Damn- who negotiated that lease? Net- culinary execution is there but lacks coursing skill. Service is fine, but smothering. Environment unfairly influenced by lack of climate control. Overall, not good enough to make us want to go back versus J Carver's, J Prime or Dean's, all at or around the same quality and price point.

I first discovered boa steakhouse in Santa Monica California. It immediately became my favorite steakhouse. When I saw a location open up in Austin, I was weary that it would not live up to the Santa Monica location. Boy was I wrong! I would even go so far as to say it exceeded my expectation. Food, service, professionalism, staff, etc. everything was perfect. My husband and I both each ordered the fillet with the blue cheese crust and for sides we got the Table side, Caesar, mac & cheese, and brussels sprouts. Everything was delicious. Kelly prepared our table side Caesar, and was thoroughly entertaining!! we will definitely be back!

There is no question Austin needs more restaurants like BOA... but when I have to spend more than $500 (for two people), I do have certain expectations. We made our reservation early and we were seated immediately upon arriving. Surprised they didn't have valet parking. There is a parking garage right next to the restaurant, but for a restaurant of this caliber, I would have expected the option of valet parking. The ambiance is very upscale but I did see people in there wearing shorts. Granted, they were nice shorts. It's not too loud or too dimly lit. Our drink orders were taken and we had wine and an old-fashion. Our first time here, we wanted to try a few things. We started with the Goat Cheese Baklava and Jumbo Shrimp Scampi. The Baklava was good but the frisee salad it came with was really good and would have preferred that as a side. Shrimp scampi was a bit disappointing. I know it said it was with "jumbo" shrimp but that's not typical for scampi. I've never had anything but a garlic butter shrimp scampi and I prefer the traditional. And the "Crostini" was stale. I know it came grilled but the bread was still stale/old. For salad, we did the tableside Caesar salad and the Classic Wedge. The Caesar was good but mostly, it's just about the show as they make the dressing right at your table. The wedge salad was okay. The dressing is really what makes a wedge salad and this blue cheese dressing was fair. For our entree we ordered a petite Filet (medium) and the Japanese Wagyu Flight (medium). I prefer a warm pink center and most other restaurants I would order that medium rare. Our server assured us that medium would come out with a warm pink center and she was 100% correct! Now, in comparison to everything else we ate, the steaks were superb. The Wagyu flight is incredible and specifically, the Snow Beef Wagyu is amazing. My filet was also some of the best beef I have ever had. For sides, we had the asparagus and sauteed mushrooms. It's hard to make bad asparagus and this side was quite good. But the sauteed mushrooms... I'm not sure what it was sauteed in, but again, just a traditional white wine sauce is what I expected. I was told by the server that is what we were going to get but there was no hint of a wine sauce and there was so much else mixed in with the mushrooms. Whatever happened to serving what is on the menu? The menu said mushrooms; not mushrooms and..... I would not order these Last comment is the service. For the type of restaurant this is trying to be, they need some work. We had no less than four people wearing jackets, handing us cards and asking us how the evening was going. Here's a hint... when I'm spending over $500 for two people... we don't want to be bothered. And certainly not from someone wearing a jacket telling us they are a manager asking how our evening is. It would be INFINITELY better if you would leave us alone. Unless you are buying us a bottle of wine or dessert is on you... just leave us alone. And when I have a drink, do NOT touch my drink unless I order another or ask you to take it away. There were no fewer than seven people who attempted to take my drink away. One guy almost refused to let me keep the glass on my table. I had an old fashioned and the glass wasn't even empty when they were trying to take it away. I ultimately had to ask our server to inform everyone to leave us alone and specifically to leave my drink alone. SO obtrusive! We did have desert which was something we shared and it was quite good. Again, for the amount we spent, I am going to be a bit picky. But really, asking to not be disturbed every five minutes is really something I would expect from every dining experience.

Heirloom salad was fantastic. My 5 year old loved the clam linguine. We were there for 10 year old's bday and they were awesome with her and made her feel special which is what you hope for on such occasions. We each got a complimentary welcome drink to cheers with which she loved. I also got a smoked old fashioned that was great and I wish I would've gotten a picture of it with the fancy presentation. The atmosphere is perfect for a medium sized group or date night. It is dark and moody inside. The service is as exquisite as you would want from such a nice place.

So I went to see what the hype was about this place cause they're making it seem like it is phenomenal. I have to say the happy hour is pretty good but not many selections that aren't so sugary for drinks. Now I will say the image of the inside of the place is awesome and so vibe. As for the food, I have to say it was not as promising as people made it seem or the photos at least. I got the bone ribeye and I thought it was OK. The crabcake was pretty good, but it was a little fishy for my taste. the charcuterie board was pretty good because it did have a good selection of cheeses, but some of the meats were a little too fatty. I would recommend coming here for happy hour. I will give it also that the staff there is super nice and try to be as attentive as they can since they are still new there.

My husband and I were soooo excited to hear BOA opened up here! We used to frequent it in Santa Monica and somehow it's even better here. The service was impeccable, the ambience is gorgeous and the food was divine. Our go to's are the table made Caesar salad, Cajun cowboy streak with pepper and horseradish sauce, creamed spinach and we ended it with sticky toffee pudding for dessert. We'll definitely be back.

This place has got a great vibe and the food was pretty good on the whole. I do think it is overpriced for what it is. Four of us went to dinner and I think it was $800. we had two steaks, a couple bottles of wine, two sides, an app and an underwhelming lobster pasta. I would not get the pasta again. The wine was excellent, I can't remember what the appetizer was but it was fantastic and so was the mac & cheese. The potatoes were pretty basic and the steak was good, but not J Carver good. Service was outstanding - they are better than most from a service perspective - maybe that's the logic in the high price.

Sexy ambiance, great service and great food! We were celebrating my girlfriend's birthday and as we were led to our table, we were directed to a room that is specific for birthday celebrations. We thought it was cool, because if you have a large group and want to sing happy birthday, you are not disturbing the other patrons that want to enjoy a quiet, intimate dinner. Our waiter Sterling was very helpful with recommendations. We started with the parker rolls, hamachi crudo, lobster tempura, king crab ceviche, and oysters on the half shell. For mains, almost everyone ordered the petite filet, while I savored the scallops. Unfortunately, everyone said their filets were a bit on the salty side. Our sides consisted of the sautéed mushrooms, asparagus, truffle fries, smashed broccoli and mashed potatoes. The sides were all good and to top off our meal, we ordered the toffee pudding. So good! The espresso martini's were great and they also have a wonderful selection of wines by the bottle.

My wife and I decided on BOA steakhouse for our anniversary dinner. We made reservations, this happened to be a Wednesday afternoon and we arrived well ahead of our scheduled time. Since it was mid-week and pretty early they were able to seat us well ahead of our reserved time. We had a couple cocktails first and agreed that everything we tried was superb. Margarita, Smoke Show, Fire & Smoke, Ocean View and near the end of our meal, we each had an espresso martini. The Fire & Smoke may have been my least favorite, but it wasn't bad by any means. The espresso martini was really good, my wife said it was the best one she's ever tasted, while I prefer mine a bit creamier (ala Kahlua or Bailey's). The presentation for each cocktail was top notch, the drinks looked "pretty". The espresso martini came to the table in a French coffee press, and the smoke show came in a decanter that kept the smoke bottled up until you were ready for a refill, along with a clear solid ice sphere. We orderd the pork belly confit as an appetizer and while I knew the preparation would likely make the pork belly tender and soft, I would have liked to have had a little char or cripsy outside - just my opinion. We also ordered the Japanese Wagyu "flight", 2oz each from three different Japanese prefectures. All I can say is WOW. This is why we came folks. This is some fabulous steak. Is it worth the price? That's up to the individual for sure, you are paying for a rare test of what is generally considered the best beef in the world. It is wonderful, but it will run up the bill quickly. It was very interesting to learn that the typical A5 Wagyu is usually from Kagoshima (this is what we are typically served in the USA), and while it was great, to me it tasted a lot like a beef version of pork belly - pretty fatty. The absolute best flavor in my opinion came from the Iwate, and the "snow" beef was very close in great flavor to the Iwate but you could tell the marbling was a bit more pronounced. I couldn't personally justify the cost difference between Iwate and the "snow" beef, if it's my money I would take the Iwate. Our main course, the steaks! This is what we came for after all. I chose a 21 day bone in Ribeye, the wife got a center cut filet she asked for medium well. Medium well is kinda tricky for a thick cut filet, especially if you want to get it out in less than 30 minutes :) I think it was cooked about as close to perfect as you can get, keeping the inside right on that edge and ensuring the edges of the steak didn't get overcooked. It was tender beef, no gristle and we both ate our steaks with a smile on our face. It was excellent quality beef and for the quality, the price was in line with what you would expect, I was happy to pay the price for the quality. Service was absolutely top notch. We had let them know ahead of time that it was our anniversary and they had cards waiting for us at the table, and they comped the dessert to celebrate the occasion. This was a nice touch and we felt very welcomed the whole time. The staff was very friendly and nobody passed up our table if it looked like we needed something (like a water refill or clearing the table etc.) even if it wasn't our waiter/waitress they operated as a team. If it were going to nitpick something, I would say that I just wasn't a fan of the decor. When I'm paying this kind of price, I'm looking for a more traditional steakhouse feel. I realize that may not be a universal feel, but I like the real white tablecloths, I like subdued piano music. Instead you are greeted with a very modern looking decor and furniture, no tablecloths, and a modern music playlist that I'm certainly unfamiliar with. Just wasn't my style. On the other hand I must say that the Laguiole steak knives are a nice touch, and while some people may not see the benefit there, it's the small things done right that will matter here, and a good sharp steak knife that doesn't "tear" at your steak is critical to a top tier steakhouse. Nice job BOA. Overall, the price point is probably going to keep me from visiting as often as I would like to. I can't really say they are overpriced, this is just the reality. It's a treat to come here on the occasion. I would highly recommend you give them a try.

I have not been to a steakhouse in a very long time. Usually I am disappointed at the pricing, and lack of quality. BOA did me right and I cant wait to come back. My dry aged strip steak was perfectly cooked with that hint of nutty background flavor I love. The pasta is the hidden gem. I suggest as substitute for a side dish. Apps and wine choices were great. Service was on point.

Excellent all around, from the service and ambiance to the extensive, well-crafted menu. The newest steakhouse in town is sure to delight (the 50% off during their soft opening sure put them off to a welcoming start!). Great wine list and drink menu, large selection of dry-aged steaks, seafood, and more, and every member of their staff is so knowledgeable and kind. Our server, Evan, was truly the best - ask for him if you visit! Overall, we had a lovely evening and enjoyed everything we ordered. I can't quite say the full prices are entirely justified in my personal opinion, but since we attended during their soft opening, I have zero complaints. QUICK FACTS: - Parking? Valet for $13, parking garage, or paid street parking. - Reservations? Yes, can be made online. Highly recommended for weekends and large parties. - Happy hour? No, not at this time. - Dress code? Yes, dressy casual is recommended. FOOD & DRINK RATINGS: - Coco Loco (5/5): Love that their mocktail menu is diverse and that the drinks are still hand crafted. This one is basically a pina colada - very coconut-y and sweet. I loved it! - Goat cheese baklava (4/5): Recommended by our server and truly a unique delight. A savory take on the traditional sweet, this is light and flavorful with the goat cheese and truffle. - Oysters (4/5): East coast and Canadian oysters. Fresh, cool, and light. Some were pretty dang tiny, but it is what it is. - Lamb lollipops (5/5): Loved these! The sauce was delicious and perfect, and the tzatziki was a nice touch. Cooked to perfection (medium rare). $68 for 3 lamb chops is a bit steep, though. - Chilean sea bass (4/5): A beautiful piece of fish, seared perfectly with grilled blood orange and a salsa. The fish was flaky and thick. The salsa was okay, not as much flavor as expected. - "Boujee" twice baked potato (3/5): I'll admit I definitely just got this for the photo. I love a good baked potato, and the skin was perfectly salted and crisp, but you're definitely just paying for the caviar on this. Otherwise it's just a dolled up potato. Would not order again. - Mac n cheese (3/5): Good but nothing special. Small portion for $16. Cheese flavor is rich and creamy. - Sticky toffee pudding (5/5): Delicious! Perfectly sticky, sweet, warm, and just all around one of the best toffee puddings I've had. Like a warm hug. Best way to end the meal!

Great food & service all around. They brought out a first time visiting drink! Had petit filet, bacon app & rolls. The lobster mac and cheese was cooked perfectly. Also had a fancy twice baked potato ALL GLORIOUS!"

Amazing ambience. It's such a cozy vibe. The tables are very personal and the layout was very well thought out. I love the warm vibe the candles add to the atmosphere and the plants gave it a tropical type of setting. The food was amazing. There was a table side presentation for the Caesar salad and the mixed drinks were very unique. The main course was also phenomenal. I had the filet mignon with a side lobster tail, which was perfectly cooked not overdone well seasoned. I will definitely be back.

One of my co-workers told me that this new steakhouse was having 50% off of everything during their soft opening, and I didn't believe her until I came. It's actually such a good idea to keep it on the DL that they were doing this special because word spreads only through word of mouth, and they're not bombarded with a huge wave of people that they might not be able to accommodate for during their first few days of opening. Honestly, I wouldn't even have been surprised if you told me Boa opened years ago. Their service is top-notch, and their food timing is even better. S/O to our waiter, Amanda! She was so cute and had such a quirky and lovely personality. She definitely made our night and was extremely knowledgeable on the entire menu. I love how she gave us a rundown of the menu because it's a surprisingly large menu for a steakhouse, and we decided to mostly order her recommendations. You get delicious welcome drinks to cleanse your palettes! They're margaritas and taste so good and look super aesthetic too. - parker house rolls: you have to get these. I was a little unimpressed when they first came out because I thought they were going to be really hard rolls based on the visuals of the outside, but they were so soft and warm. The onion butter was literally addicting. We had to ask for more. I've never really gone for seconds and thirds of rolls, but I couldn't stop myself. It was delicious. - goat cheese baklava: very interesting take on a sweet dessert. This was extremely recommended by our waitress Amanda and people online, so we had to get it. I will say...I'm not a goat cheese fan. However, this wasn't bad. The goat cheese was on the milder side, and the texture of the baklava is great. It also comes with a light citrus salad that they recommend you take a bite out of after every bite of the baklava. I definitely wouldn't order this again because I'm not a goat cheese fan, but for my friend who was, she really enjoyed this. - tableside Caesar salad: I'm obsessed with Caesar salad. Make it fancy? Say less. This was so good, and their croutons are heavenly too. Definitely heavy and rich, but so freaking good. I love the experience of seeing your salad being constructed beside you too, and this is the only restaurant in Austin I know that does it tableside. It's honestly not a bad price for tableside salad, either. - wagyu flight: unfortunately, they were out of one of the wagyu but the chef was kind enough to accommodate for doubling up on either one of the other wagyu options. I'm shocked that this flight cost $210 full price, but for half price...c'mon. How could we not order it? Our waitress explained where the wagyu came from in Japan, and we obviously decided to double up on the "premium" wagyu option that comes from the Northern most prefecture of Japan. Holy crap. The wagyu was literally insane. I think I could've eaten the entire flight by myself. The "standard" wagyu and the "premium" wagyu were both delectable and melted in my mouth immediately. It was actually so good. - Mafaldine pasta: our waitress did warn that this specific dish was on the heavier side, but my friend LOVES Mafaldine pasta so we had to get it. I actually liked this dish. I don't normally like pesto very much, but this sauce was good. I will say I'm not the biggest fan of mushrooms, so I probably wouldn't have ordered this on my own. However, I did like it and I think if you're vegetarian, this would be a good option. - scallops: guys. The scallops were humongous. They were PERFECTLY cooked and so delicious. The puree it comes with is also so delicious. I don't think I've had better scallops anywhere else. - chocolate chip cookie: our waitress highly recommended this, but I thought it was a pretty average cookie? It tasted good, but I don't think I would get it again. Great finisher for a huge meal. Whew, super long review but Boa Steakhouse deserves it. The interior is so beautiful. I actually gasped when I walked through their gigantic door. The staff is super friendly, and service could compare to that of a Michelin star's.

Decided to try BOA steakhouse for dinner this weekend. There is a valet service but it's on the side of the building facing the indeed tower, not in front of the actual entrance. The atmosphere is dimly lit and there is an assortment of live/fake plants throughout the dining room. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. We got a thorough explanation of the entire menu, from the cocktails to dessert. I started off with the la quebrada cocktail. It was delicious, not too sweet. My partner ordered the smoke show, which was brought out in a bottle with smoke. We ordered the king crab ceviche. I enjoyed the passionfruit sauce with it, it added a nice acidity. I ordered the Japanese f-1 steak but unfortunately they ran out. They did compensate with a wagyu meatball, which I didn't get to try because I was full from dinner. I got the center cut filet instead. It was a bit tough on the outside but the center was tender. We got the corn crème brûlée and lobster mashed potatoes for side dishes. The side dishes were a bit small, enough for two people though. The corn crème brûlée was definitely sweet. The lobster mashed potatoes were rich and savory. There was a fair amount of lobster in the potatoes. For dessert, we had the sticky toffee pudding. It wasn't the best I've had but it was still to my liking. The "pudding" was a little dry. The sauce and ice cream were tasty. Overall, the service was excellent and I would return to try the wagyu steak.

Seed oils in everything. Not that high end of a restaurant if you are cutting your costs w/ bad oils. Pass.

Overall, I wouldn't call this a "staple" steakhouse, more like a specialty spot for nights out. The service was good, sometimes they overtouched the tables in my opinion, but I prefer that over begging for service. The ambiance is dark and sophisticated. It's a fun atmosphere, but definitely loud and the tables are a little close together. We ordered: Parker House Rolls - a MUST. So fluffy and tasty. The caramelized onion butter was the best, perfect compliment. Wish we had got it on our steak! Westholme Wagyu - fantastic. Cooked well and heavily seasoned with salt, but in a great way. It really encrusts the steak Truffle Mac and cheese - good but very truffly.

Our server, Angel, made our experience exceptional and the manager, Tony, was awesome too. The food was delicious. My husband and I dine out quite often and this was by far one of our best and most memorable dining experiences. Thank you Angel!

I spent a few days in Austin for my birthday and discovered this new restaurant. What a delight! From the hostess, to our server, Michele to the manager, service was impeccable and consistently attentive. The ambiance is relaxing, romantic and eclectic all at the same time! The food was exceptional! We enjoyed scallops, fresh cut Mafaldine pasta with wild mushrooms, pistachio pesto and parm. The clubhouse style Caesar salad is a must! It is prepared tableside. The drinks are smooth and tasty too! A wonderful choice to celebrate my birthday at BOA!

One of my favorite new spots in Austin. Food is very good and the drinks are great, but the staff is what makes this place! We live downtown and this is our go to happy hour spot. Have never had a bad experience. Bartenders, waitstaff, managers - everyone goes out of their way to make sure you have an enjoyable experience. Great ambiance and the architecture/design/build out of the space is beautiful. They have valet, private dining spaces, etc. Easily competes with the other "staple" steaks houses in Austin, but BOA brings a fresh and modern approach. 10/10

Recently attended BOA's soft opening and had an amazing time! My girlfriend and I decided to sit at the bar, and right from the start, we were greeted. Before we even had a chance to sit down, the bartenders were already introducing themselves, which I loved since I'm a sucker for great customer service. They were super friendly and gave us awesome recommendations for both food and drinks. Their service was top tier, and I can't wait to go back and hang out with those gentlemen again. There was a small mix-up with my order--I thought I had ordered the "lobster fra diavolo" which is a pasta but ended up with just a lobster tail. Honestly, it was so good that I didn't even notice until after I left! Overall, it was an incredible night. The atmosphere, the food, and especially the service made it memorable.

I haven't been active with my reviews this year! This steakhouse is amazing. The flight of A5 was an amazing experience. The baked potato with caviar was out of this world. The wait staff and sommelier were all top notch. The ambience was wonderful as well. Great date night spot in the ATX!

Cool new place in Austin. Steaks were incredible, as were the cocktails. Service was excellent both at the table and in the lounge area by the bar. Very pricey, but a great place for a special occasion.

Best new spot in downtown! Food is always on point, some of the best bartenders and very laid back. Even for a quick bite before a show, date night, or a quick catch up with the boys.. all occasions welcome!

Great cocktails and atmosphere but I wasn't impressed with my over-cooked, partially burned Ribeye. Friends said how good it was so maybe I will give it another try?

Ryan for doing an amazing salad toss and Sterling sent us a bottle of wine that was AMAZING! Tony the manager he made sure everything was perfect and Patrick our server was so knowledgeable about everything on the menu and made sure we had a wonderful time ! Everything from the food to drinks were 10/10 i wouldnt change anything ! The ambiance was a 10/10 as well ! Thank you for having us . Definitely will be back soon !
