This vintage 1942 gem boasts an art deco bar, lively dance floor, and inviting patio, making it a perfect spot for enjoying good vibes and people-watching.
"If you’re a comedian or a friend of someone who considers themself a comedian, you’ve been to Boardner’s. The dim, moody bar on a Hollywood side street has been around since 1927 and is a go-to for post-show drinks in the area. But even if you aren’t supporting your roommate’s middling stand-up career, a night at Boardner’s is always a good idea. The drinks are cheap, the food menu is surprisingly solid, and the crowd-watching never disappoints. You know you’re in a true Old Hollywood bar when the guy who’s measuring his hands with a tape measure at the bar isn’t the weirdest thing you see that night." - brant cox
"If you’re a comedian or a friend of someone who considers themself a comedian, you’ve been to Boardner’s. The dim, 80-year-old bar is a go-to for post-show drinks, and after that public breastfeeding joke tanked during your set, you’ll need it. The atmosphere is super casual, drinks are affordable, and the bar food menu is actually pretty good. The history of this place is pretty insane too, but there’s not enough room to get into it here. Just know sh*t went down." - brant cox, sylvio martins, nikko duren

"Boardner’s has been around since 1942 and is another old Hollywood institution in the heart of the neighborhood. They’re currently open every day from 5pm-2am with an expanded back alleyway patio and a massive bar menu that features everything from tacos to shrimp scampi. That said, the time to come is during Happy Hour, which runs Monday-Saturday until 8am (plus all night on Sundays) where everything on the consolidated menu is $7." - brant cox
"Boardner’s seems to be one of the Hollywood police department’s favorite watering holes. There’s a brief scene outside of the Cherokee Avenue bar in Season 4, episode 7, but it’s also in Season 1 and then again later in Season 4 episode 9." - Matthew Kang
