7 Miami Restaurants With Great Sunset Views

"If the thought of wearing pants or paying $20 for a burger makes you frown, then you might want to try Boater’s Grill. The casual restaurant is located inside the gorgeous Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park and they also just expanded with a new outdoor bar called The Cleat. Now they’ve got plenty of picnic tables where you can watch the sun go down and drink cocktails in one of Miami’s prettiest parks. Just a head’s up: there is an entrance fee to get into the park, but it’s worth it. Come early and make a day out of it." - ryan pfeffer

Boater’s Grill Restaurant Review - Key Biscayne - Miami - The Infatuation

"We could pick you up, blindfold you, and drop you at Boater’s Grill, and you’d probably think you were in the Keys, not Miami. And you’d be half right. This place is located inside Key Biscayne’s Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park, sitting next to a quiet cove where you might possibly befriend a manatee. Stick to the standard fried seafood here and some beer if you’re in the mood. Admission to the park is $4-8 if you’re coming in a car, but that is a small price to pay for potentially meeting a manatee." - Ryan Pfeffer

We recently had dinner at Boater’s Grill with a group of six and spent around $430. Overall, the experience was very enjoyable. The service was attentive and friendly, and the waterfront view was absolutely stunning — a perfect setting for a relaxed evening. The food was generally good and portions were generous. However, the lobster was a major letdown. On a scale of 0 to 10, it was a 0 — it tasted as if it had been sitting in the fridge too long and lacked freshness entirely. That aside, the rest of the dishes were well-prepared and satisfying. Boater’s Grill is definitely worth visiting for the ambiance and overall experience, but I’d recommend skipping the lobster.

We arrived for dinner shortly after sunset and were seated promptly. The food was delicious and served quickly. The prices were reasonable, and it certainly didn't feel like a tourist trap. The ambiance was a little loud for our preference, but the view and the tasty food made it worthwhile. I highly recommend it!

This is a little hidden gem located inside the Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park. To enter the park you have to pay $8 for car parking. The place has awesome mesmerizing views of the bay. The pictures don't do it justice. The menu has something for everyone. Obviously the fish would be my first recommendation. Staff is friendly. Overall cool spot.

Having Brennan the food and service industry for almost 30 years I recently had the pleasure of dining at Boater's Grill in Key Biscayne, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the stunning waterfront setting, offering beautiful views of the water and the surrounding nature — truly an idyllic location for a meal. The food was nothing short of exceptional. Every dish was bursting with fresh, vibrant flavors that left me savoring each bite. Whether you're in the mood for seafood, grilled specialties, or something a bit more adventurous, Boater's Grill offers a diverse and delectable menu that caters to all tastes. The seafood was particularly impressive — perfectly cooked, with just the right balance of seasoning, and you could tell everything was sourced with care and quality in mind. What made the experience even more remarkable was the service. The staff were not only friendly and attentive but also incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations. Their enthusiasm and dedication to making the meal special were evident, and they really made me feel like a valued guest throughout my visit. Overall, Boater's Grill is a gem in Key Biscayne. Whether you're a local or just visiting, this restaurant delivers an outstanding combination of amazing food, stellar service, and a beautiful setting. I can't wait to return!

Google
Food was great but waiters could care less abt the business. Too bad as this place is a gem. Super fresh seafood and terrific fries. Located at the end of the cove in No Name harbor. Tip: instead of paying the $8 landing fee for lunch along the seawall, go to the end, right under the restaurant and there are a couple slips where you can stay for up to 2 hrs. for free. If you don't have a boat, you can park in the lot there. Bathrooms are super clean. (On a Tuesday☺️)

Google
Delicious fresh fish with a gorgeous view at decent prices. What more could anyone ask for? The food was excellent, the service was great and they were quick to serve my family. I would absolutely come here again. I wish there was some voucher program for being able to be refunded the little toll booth for entering the area if you're only coming to the restaurant though.

Google
Delicious food in a beach setting. You have to wait in a long line, but it's worth it. The fried snapper and the lobster are very good. The service is excellent. The prices are reasonable and the location is a plus. The parking lot is not that big, but you can also visit it by boat. It is recommended to visit it at the end of the day to see the sunset. We would return.

Google
To start, the place is nice; the view is beautiful. I’ve been here before more than 5 times. The service is usually good; the servers check up on you. They make sure the food and drinks are fine, but today was another story. I went, and the server that attended me seemed like she didn’t even want to help. Not once did she check to see if our food was okay or if we wanted another drink or offered dessert. The table was barely cleaner when the old drinks or food plates were finished. I’m not even sure I’d come again after today.

Yelp
Beautiful view, good service, food ok, but extremely over-priced. Two appetizers and one entree, a couple of beers $134.00

Yelp
Its hard to find restaurants with consistency in food. This restaurant has got it. The food is always terrible. I give up after 4th attempt in 3 years. Neither the servers nor the manager speaks a word of English. Amazing location, beautiful natural setting keeps the business busy and they are acting as they dont need to do anything about improving since they take clients granted. They overcook every single fish to the point you feel like you are chewing on beef jerky with seafood flavor and the salads they serve is like greens forgot they were greens thrown on a plate with no dressing. $55 plus tax and tip $70 fried rubber "snapper"

Yelp
Was a bit hesitant to check out this spot but considering it's location some things might make up for the other... Service was a bit too casual - no one was rude but we felt rushed to order only to take about 30 minutes to cash us out after handing over our credit card. Food was fresh & delicious - while the stone crabs were decently priced other items on the menu have gone up significantly & can be compared between what's currently on their website vs what's on the hard copy menus. That in itself was a bit of a turn off. Some things should be a bit more competitively priced including the burgers and appetizers. The open deck sitting area is shaded enough to feel the cool breeze coming in from the dock. Very serene & private location. It is worth coming here if you have out of towner who want a change of scenery & want to try the local fresh seafood.

Yelp
"Not a fancy restaurant but the Food was good." Always looking for fresh seafood. You can choose from many different plates or you can pick a fresh fish and have it fried. Portions and presentation is poor....

Yelp
Had an amazing lunch at Boater's Grill. Beautiful views, very relaxing. The service is excellent- everyone we encountered were friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. I had the Whole Fish, Yellowtail Snapper and I enjoyed every bite. I ordered it with Yellow Rice and Maduros. Also had the Conch Fritters which were so good. Along with a nice cold Presidente- it was a perfect meal. Look forward to going back next time in the area.

Yelp
If you're in the Key Biscayne neck of the woods, this is a great place to grab a quick bit to eat. I ordered stone crabs and margaritas! Has the best views of the water and docked boats. Staff is very friendly. Overall I recommend checking out this place if you're in the neighborhood.

Yelp
Average, but decent food, with amazing views of No Name Harbor. Decently priced. The first time I came here, my mahi mahi was great, the second time I ordered the same thing and it tasted like it was a frozen piece of fish that was overcooked and tough as cardboard. But I will give them the benefit of the doubt and give them four instead of three stars based on my first experience. Pina colada was good. Slow service both times, though our second server was much nicer and more attentive.

Yelp
I really liked this food we had it as a little lunch the fried yuca was delish and the smoke fish dip was exactly the kind of thing I like and the Caesar salad was so good I've been getting into it recently. Plus the chicken didn't feed grossly microwaved or anything. The whole vibe was a bit weird though the servers were always kinda arguing or like laughing really loud together I guess they are just living their lives but it was a bit distracting. Also the table placement was kinda weird and awk and it felt like I was always intruding on someone's meal. I probably wouldn't go back but I wouldn't care if we did.

Yelp
Food (quality and taste)- 3/4 Service- 3/4 Ambiance- 5 Location-5 Prices/value- 4 Cleanliness- 4 We came here for Mother's Day lunch after spending the day on the beach. It was our first time here. There was no wait time. We were sat immediately. We had several different people wait on us. The original waiter who had taken our order was never seen again and a young lady ended up taking care of us. The service was very spotty. We sometimes had to get up and go ask for things. We ordered the calamari as an appetizer. The calamari was very good- but I was shocked that they didn't bring it with any lemon on the side. We asked for lemon, but they never brought it. They have jars of their own hot sauce on the table and we used some of that. It was really good! We also ordered the tostones as an appetizer and again, I was shocked that they didn't bring a creamy dipping sauce. Instead it had a garlicky olive oil for dipping. I've never seen that be used as a dipping sauce for a fried food. We asked the waiter if they had a creamy sauce for it- like a cilantro lime dip, or garlic aioli but he said they didn't. ‍ I ordered a Cosmopolitan for my drink. It was good. My husband and daughter both ordered the Mahi Mahi blackened. I'm be came out blackened and the other was just grilled. Again, neither came with a lemon wedge. My son ordered the chicken fettuccine Alfredo and he liked it. It was a big plate and he had leftovers. My other daughter had the shrimp scampi and really liked it. She also had leftovers. I ordered the yellowtail fish with a side of mashed potatoes and a side salad. Mine was pretty good. I just wish they would give lemon with every fish order. We had to wait a long time for our check and to ask for to-go boxes. I might go back just for the location but not have very high expectations for service or food. Some food was good (5), but some was not (1)!

Yelp
My experience at this restaurant seems similar to many others. We went hiking around the area and stopped at the Boater's Grill out of convenience. When we arrived we tried to get water to our table but since we didn't have our full order ready the waiter left our table. We were extremely rushed into ordering. We got the conch salad, ceviche and the blackened mahi mahi. The salad and ceviche are served with broken saltines in plastic. The ceviche was good and the conch salad was chewy. The mahi mahi was overcooked. Our waiter was impossible to flag down. No water refills. Bad food and service. The actual restaurant is in a good location overlooking the water which must be the only reason for it's popularity.

Yelp
We stopped in at Boater's Grill for a late lunch/early dinner - despite a good 20-30 minute wait, I can confidently say that it is absolutely worth it! We were seated on the upper terrace and had a beautiful view of No Name Harbor. Our food came out fairly quickly given how busy it was! I ordered the seafood pasta in an Alfredo sauce; he ordered the scallops in garlic sauce with a side of white rice and maduros. Naturally, I snuck a bite of his, too! Both dishes were YUMMY! and both, very filling. After, we took a long walk around the harbor and managed to catch a bit of the sunset. Absolutely would recommend!

Yelp
Service was terrible here. The property is filled with sand fleas. The bar staff look like they're being held prisoner there. The food was highly overpriced and was beyond mediocre. Avoid this one.

Yelp
Best Kept secret lol We love coming here while boating or even just to grab a bite and want a views. Great menu and variety of fresh seafood. Some lack a little seasoning but it's completely fine because it's so fresh . They can be busy so be kind and wait for your turn . very casual, tasty place. When you have salt in your hair and sands on your toes you feels right at home. Love the red snapper and crab cakes. Yum!

Yelp
We were having a girl's day at the beach and I was in charge of finding a place for lunch. I asked someone who used to work on Key Biscayne. She recommended Boater's Grill. Then I checked Yelp and yikes. I decided to go with my friend's recommendation and report back. I'm so glad we gave them a chance. It was a lovely afternoon. The view is gorgeous, the food was decent and the service was excellent. Our server Alvaro was attentive and gave great recommendations. He suggested the Mahi and said it was fresh, which it was. The food in general was fresh although the seasoning on the grilled Mahi needed to be amped up. That was true for most of the dishes. They could use some more seasoning even just salt. The price was a little steep ~ $30 a plate. There are lower priced options like the burgers but we went for the seafood. I kind of felt 1/2 the price was for the view and it was worth it. The key lime pie is made inhouse and was so delicious. The crust was light and the custard was just the right amount of tart. We went with beer instead of cocktails but our neighboring table ordered piña coladas and they looked good and they seemed to enjoy them. They ordered the blackened mahi after seeing my plate and then commented that I must've gotten the larger portion. I didn't see a major difference. Wr also had the calamari- yum, tostones with shrimp - needed more than 3 tostones and the ceviche - super fresh. I would like to go back for happy hour.

Yelp
Was pretty good. Seafood tasted fresh. The fish croquetas were filled with meat. The dolphin fingers were okay. Overall all of our fried seafood and fries were yummy and reasonably priced
google avatar

Minnie L.

Yelp
Prices are high and portions are smaller, but this is a nice choice inside Bill Baggs state park if you're looking to relax and enjoy the view at no name harbor. The burgers are quite small and drinks were expensive, would advise getting a seafood or meat platter as those while more expensive actually have large portions.
google avatar

Yelp
I don't understand all these angry reviews they are probably out of Towners. This is truly a Miami staple in my eyes. You don't come here expecting amazing service and a fine dining experience. You come here for the view, a casual, laid back time, and delicious seafood! They don't have the best cocktails here either. It's more of a beer place. Their fried fish is to die for. I devoured it all by myself!
google avatar

Yelp
We shared a whole fried snapper and it was delicious. Coupled with the view of No Name Harbor, a great way to kick off a late Sunday morning brunch. Note: they open at 11 am and there's a line by noon.

Yelp
I want to be as detailed as possible. Came to eat here September 5th for lunch (1:30 pm). Have been in the past, saw recent reviews of food but wanted to confirm. They are confirmed. The fish is below average, Miami is a costal city and you can do a lot better. The prices are above average. I ordered a yellowtail snapper (shown below). I asked for a medium. Was given a large and charged $78 for the dish. The "bait and switch" is not what really bothers me. The quality of the fish and how dry it was really upset me and is why I am writing this review. The service was average, all in Spanish (which I speak) but english was not used at all even when we spoke in the language. I state this as we had non Spanish speakers in our group. Again. Miami. I understand. But if you are on the water, In key Biscayne, With such a beautiful view, Step up your kitchen. We ordered scallops in garlic and had to send them back as they were rubber and tasteless. (Frozen and thawed quickly). We ordered the lobster special, small lobster drenched in a red sauce and frozen mini cocktail shrimp. There is no reason to come here. The park will charge you $8 to enter, so we made the best of it and went to the lighthouse. That was the best part of "lunch". Reviews are accurate. Food is overpriced and really poorly prepared. Thank you for reading this and please take my review as a warning. You can do better. 2 stars because of view and the bottled beers were ice cold.

Yelp
Visiting for 14 days and ate out 2 times a day....this was the absolute worst of our experiences. Walk past this place. Sat quickly but that's where the good stopped. We were provided menus and looked it over and waited for our server to greet us. He brought over waters and looked to my husband to determine what he wanted to drink. Very limited selection of beer so my husband ordered a Bud Light. Pita "the server" immediately turned around to leave the table without even looking at me. I was able to grab his attention before he's scurried away and I ordered a Mojito. Clearly Mojitos are labeled in the menu but he said No, they only have margaritas and bourbon whiskey. Very strange. I ordered a margarita. He brought us our drinks a few minutes later only to bring my husband the wrong kind of beer. He gruffly took it away and came back with a Bud Light. No apologies. My margarita was average...not worth the $15. We sat, slowly sipped our drinks and enjoyed the yachts. We patiently awaited the for Pitas return. We waited, and waited, and waited. As you can see by the picture, I drank my entire drink without hearing from the server again. We'd intended on ordering a couple of appetizers but since we didn't feel appreciated at all for our business and received no attention from our server who walked by our table multiple times without making any eye contact, we decided we were done. We had difficulty even flagging him down to get our check so I decided I would go up to the guy working the cash register. There were two other people in front of us so we waited a bit and when I let him know we were trying to pay for our two drinks he said in a frustrated tone "I have three other tickets in front of you, you'll have to wait." He continued to ring those other checks up as we waited and then he ask me for my ticket. I explained to him that I didn't have one and he said to me "sweetheart, I need a ticket to cash you out." Being called sweetheart is not necessarily offensive but coupled with the fact that Pita ignored me when we were trying to order drinks made me feel like this is just a misogynistic place to dine. I told him Pita was our "server" and he called him over get the ticket. When he did bring it over he turned around and left without even an acknowledgement of us or why we were leaving so quickly. Extremely poor experience. This was not a short staffing issue so there was plenty of wait staff for the people present. Some of them were even waiting for new tables.

Andrea ..

Yelp
This is a real shame, they have an amazing location, right by the water and yet they serve the most disgusting food !! Please don't ever try the paella ( how dare they call it so ! ), I've seen the pasta they served to a table near mine, it was an insult to real pasta !! These people don't deserve such location
google avatar

Ana marie A.

Yelp
Wow! If you are in Key Biscayne & hungry - this is your place! The margaritas are perfect & the paella is yum. Barby will make sure that you leave with a smile. Our party will be returning. Thank you!

Jared S.

Yelp
Mojito is strong but tasty. Good food at a good price. Best deal for stone crab claws I've seen in Miami by a wide margin. But be prepared to wait for no reason... multiple tables were open for a while and nobody was seated in a long line. Service was good once seated.

Fernanda L.

Yelp
The food was subpar, the fish was very very dry. The service was disappointing. We came I. And there was no hostess, I asked a waiter if we could sit, he ignored me and went off to continue working. Asked another waiter to eventually sit me. Once we were sat it took a while for a waiter to stop by and after all of that, the food was not good. There were 5 waiters standing around doing nothing and not one of them stopped by to check in. The only saving grace is the water view.

Jackie C.

Yelp
Not the most refined food but definitely hearty and tasty and a fabulous location. Order a fried fish and lots of sides and you will not be disappointed.

Yelp
Location... Location... the food it is ok we had lobster...fair price ... service very confusing and not welcoming certainly they have room for improvement but as I said location and very nice view...

Yelp
Hands down best fried fish I have ever had !! You have to come try it, everything is amazingly delicious don't miss it great service and amazing crowd !! Great after a boat day can't wait to go back

Yelp
The food was extremely dry, my utensils were dirty and I had to ask for extra utensils. The fish was tasteless, no flavor and very poor service.

Yelp
This has been on my radar for a while, and I fell upon it today whilst visiting Bill Baggs state park and was investigating the area. We came in our car to see the marina and then here we saw The Boater, and I realised oh yes - this is on my list of places to eat at. (My yelp list is huge btw). The smell coming from the restaurant smelt good, but we are yet to eat out due to the covid. We did check the place out though. There is a decent sized car park. The restaurant over looks the marina here, so it offers great views. The water in the marina was also super clean. They also offer indoor and outdoor seating places. Also to be noted they seem to have another side element - a food truck with tables and chairs, although this was not open for now. This place is one to be added to your list. We will be back!
google avatar

Stephany S.

Yelp
The views and the food here are amazing! Some of the freshest seafood you can find and eat it right by the water. Have you seen a whole fried fish as big as these? You can buy them by the pound but beware because they are huge! And that's not a bad thing. Got one of these bad boys and it was delicious! The staff is so nice. Unfortunately when we went they were short on staff due to Covid but nonetheless they provided some really good service. It's a very convenient spot to stop by and you can even dock your boat if you're boating and grab a bite. Very nice place for some relaxed laid-back dining. There's no fancy dressing here so come as you are and enjoy some fresh seafood!

Greg ..

Yelp
Had the whole fried snapper. Outstanding. Drinks were good and the atmosphere is as well. Nice staff.

Nicholas B.

Yelp
Amazing food, excellent atmosphere, and absolutely stellar hospitality. Barby took care of our large group and it was so special. Will be coming again!

Adela R.

Yelp
Not recommended. The restaurant was supposed to close at 10pm. We got there at 8pm. They were already closed.
google avatar

Will F.

Yelp
The family stopped in for lunch and we all had a variety of dishes. I just partook of the appetizers, namely the Conch Fritters and the Cod Fritters, both were nicely prepared and presented. I just wish there was an option for a sauce or lemon to include with those items. The service was decent in that it was more than obvious that the regulars of this establishment got priority service compared to others.

Grace K.

Yelp
We came here for dinner after getting drinks at The Cleat bar a short walk away, and it was a great decision. The place served great food and service at very reasonable prices in a casual setting. We got the palomilla steak - well seasoned with a generous topping of onions - with a side of rice and beans and plantains, and the chicken breast with fries and salad. The food was great, service was attentive, and the view was incredible from our table. The restaurant is within the Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park, and you do need to pay a nominal fee to enter the park. I would highly recommend this place if you are in the Miami area and looking for a place with an incredible view of the sunset and water around Key Biscayne.
google avatar

Jake B.

Yelp
Incredible views. Incredible service. Incredible speed. Incredible price. There's an idea of a pyramid of good, fast, and cheap, and you can only choose 2. Boater's grill let's you choose all 3 and the view is unbelievable. The best of any restaurant I've been to in Miami. My steak came out in 10 minutes and the waitress was super, super nice. Awesome experience. Will be coming back here many more times in the future.

Yelp
Stay away from this horrible place eat elsewhere. Trust me on this. Let's me start off by saying the place was slightly busy with 3 wait staff and they had no bartender to make their cocktails. That being said we started off by asking if we can order food and take it down to the bench seating area. They said no that there are other restaurants in the area we can go to instead. This was Oscar the "manager" speaking to us, the other 2 waiters couldn't answer our questions. A side note; the other restaurants (1) was in the other side of the trail we walked from and it was closed. We were then brushed off but decided to sit and order. They took a while to get to us and at first we gave them the benefit of the doubt considering Oscar didn't look like he knew what he was doing but was trying to help, while at the same time micromanage his staff. I understand Spanish so I could hear his condescending remarks to the female waitress. We ordered a couple beers and the calamari. Oscar clearly doesn't know what he was doing because he was stacking his orders. It took a while for our beef to come out and it wasn't served they gave us the bottles. Not entirely too sure why it took a while 5 minutes ( yes I counted) to get them. The calamari came out and it wasn't terrible. It was flavorless but still crispy. They had hot sauce on the table so it was ok in the end. We decided we weren't going to order anything else so we asked for the check. This is where I get annoyed. I see Oscar taking more tables as the restaurant gets busier and I signaled to him twice and he ignored me. Finally he came around and asked what else we wanted to order and I said I would just like the check please. This was another long wait as he had to make his rounds to the other tables and hand them their checks in that black folder you see a lot at restaurants. He finally came to us and handed my check (no folder) from behind me as I if I should get up and grab it. I was annoyed but didn't want to say anything as I did not want to cause a scene. The food was not worth the hassle and just cause it's the only one in the area doesn't give the. The right to mistreat a guest. Earlier they could have politely said it's against our policy to allow take out. That being said there were people sitting one those benches with containers that they walked up to the restaurant to grab and sat down there to eat. To my surprise the female waitress was the one who allowed it. I guess we asked the wrong person. I still left a tip because it's how I was raised. But when I normally tip 20% or more for good to great service, I gave this jerk less than 10%.

Yelp
This place has a great view of the sunset and is right on the water but the wait is long,. On of the best paella I've ever had though! We also had the shrimp ceviche and the mussels which were sooo good! They don't take reservations so be prepared to wait!

Yelp
Ok I absolutely love this place. The food is kickass and definitely a hidden gem. One issue: a server that is an older gentlemen that served us yesterday. I'll keep his name out of this for the record. He made a HUGE deal about putting ONE item on a separate bill saying "that will be an inconvenience" and when we asked him again he said' "no I'm not doing that, just pay all together". I understand this is annoying from someone who has worked in the service industry but that is your job. We weren't asking for you to perform receipt calculus, we were asking for ONE item to be placed on a separate bill.

Yelp
Very disappointed with the food and the service, we ordered snapper fillets and they were over cooked, we returned them and they came back the same.

Yelp
Great spot to take kids/stop by boat. Mostly fried food, but all of the seafood was good! Ceviche, fish dip, stone crab, etc.

Yelp
Such a great hidden gem in our city! This place is family owned for over 20 years. It's a great place to come and enjoy some food after a beach day or for a day when you want to feel a little secluded and enjoy the views of one the most beautiful beaches in the US. Boater's grill is located inside the Bill Baggs National State Park. They have a Latin based seafood cuisine with many delicious options. The restaurant also makes a great venue for special events.

Yelp
I was invited by a family member to this restaurant who had recommended it to him. What a shame. I do not understand how the authorities of the city of Miami/Key Biscayne have not taken measures to close this establishment. THEY HAD NO BATHROOMS for customers. The waiter in a "funny" way when asked about the bathrooms said: you can go there to the bushes to urinate! On the other hand, the food is very expensive and the presentation is terrible. For example, a Mahi Mahi filet, barely 5mm thick, overcooked and with refried fries. In resume, a pity that my family member paid such a high bill for such a bad food in a bad place

Yelp
We came to this restaurant for an early dinner as the taco place down the way was closed by the time we arrived. So, the view is spectacular. The service was kind. We started with the calamari and it tasted fresh. My niece said the hamburger was good. I tried her fries and they could have been a little bit crispier. I had the mussels and an espresso. Overall, I was pleased with the food and the service. I read the reviews and I disagree. This is a lovely little place to eat if you are in the park.

Yelp
We came here at the recommendation of a friend. We were looking for a casual outdoor vibe near the water. That's about the only thing they got right at this place. The food is TERRIBLE- and I'm not picky. A native Miamian, I've had my fare share of fantastic Cuban and Dominican dishes and they managed to mess every dish we ordered up so bad that the only explanation is that they actually consider this 'good' by their standards and have no self awareness at how awful their food really is. Rice was still firm in the center and the black beans were flavorless. The burger was ordered well done but came undercooked. The cheese sticks were over cooked and the sangria was bitter. Go there for a spot near the water but just don't expect a delish meal and you'll be fine. we ate it because we were famished after an excessive wait and pleasant but long walk from lot A since the lot was full. I recommend just skipping this spot and heading to the Cleat nearby for a drink at sunset or going down to Blackpoint marina in Cutler Bay instead. Also, 12 dollars for 6 cheese sticks?.... C'mon man...every price was about $5 or more than it needs to be.

Yelp
What a fun little stop after exploring by bike Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park. When renting bikes, the attendant recommended my route and where to stop for a bite. It's on the bike trail when riding through the state park, but it's accessible by car as well. The restaurant has a patio that overlooks a little bay where boats can park. We stepped onto the patio and they sat us overlooking the water. We started with a pitcher of sangria. Perfect. It was nearing the end of the Stone Crab season and the special of the day was Stone Crab, so that's I ordered. And it delivered. Also tried a couple bites of the Fried Pork Chunks; this was tasty. Noticed my date inhaled every bite. We stayed longer than we had anticipated, enjoying the views, casual ambiance and sangria.
