"A block from the harbor, Boatyard Bar and Grill is a nautical-themed Annapolis restaurant that won the people’s choice award for its Maryland crab soup at the Maryland Seafood Festival. Made with a beef broth base, the vegetable-heavy dish includes cabbage, celery, onions, potatoes, tomatoes, and blue crab meat with a rich flavor thanks to the addition of bacon. Fans who live outside the state can order the Maryland crab or cream of crab soup via Goldbelly." - Julekha Dash

We stopped on our way home today and had brunch here. Place was completely packed, and we got lucky with the last big table. Kids ordered waffles, and chicken and waffles. Fresh and delicious. Husband ordered crab rolls and everyone agreed that it’s the best dish today. So much delicious crabs with buttery soft bread. I had benedict eggs with two small crab cakes and yum. Service was fast, friendly, and great! Definitely recommend.

The bartender Reilly D. Is super helpful and friendly! Also very knowledgeable about the menus and gave great recommendations! Had a great lunch here. The crab cakes are delicious and have lots of crab meats inside, you hardly see any breads. The soup is too thick and creamy,no good.

The food is good. The crab cake is delicious. The dip is so good. Oyster is fresh and sweet. They are so busy but the food doesn't take too long to wait. The staff is nice. I also like their decorations.

We were initially impressed by the overall atmosphere, both inside and outside the restaurant. The paintings and decorations inside truly elevated the dining experience. The local oysters and stuffed oysters were incredibly fresh and flavorful, making them an excellent choice for a starter. As for the main dishes, both the scallops with noodles and the crab cake burger were fairly good. I also loved the 16 oz gin and tonic, which was perfectly served.

Excellent lunch with friends at the Boatyard, highly recommend. Shared calamari crisp and delicious, my fish sandwich was tasty and light. The side of asparagus was the best I have had. The Smith Island cake dessert is a must. Large slice is share worthy. The topper was smiling, attentive service of the lovely, sparkling waitress Carly. Family friendly, a bit pricy but worth it,

Google
This restaurant was perfect for lunch with family visiting us for the New Year. We loved the menu with a unique collection of seafood. The menu notes where they are getting the main ingredients for the seafood. The server was very good and the interior was cool. Made it a perfect place to take our special guests with a wholesome Annapolis experience.

Google
The service was great, and the food was really as great as it looked in my photos. We ordered the crab and artichoke dip, different styles of oysters, and some fried crab balls, yum! While the staff was very welcoming and friendly, the other customers were not so much. We got a few stares, and then we heard people talking about political stuff loudly as if they wanted a reaction out of my husband and I. Still great place though, I'd go again and ignore those people again! Lol

Boatyard was the highlight of a day trip to Annapolis. The place has comforting vibes of a typical seafood restaurant/bar. It is quite spacious but the place got crowded, which is not surprising considering its popularity. The host/wait staff were all friendly and welcoming. Consistent with the restaurant’s theme, we ordered all the crab dishes: the crab dip, crab cake and softshell crab sandwich. Everything was delicious and the ingredient quality was apparent. This is a must-visit if you are in the area!

Yelp
I had the single best server to ever live; Carley made my experience the best. Thank you SO MUCH for your dedication.

Yelp
We were in Annapolis for a long weekend and stopped by Boatyard on a Sunday night. We were seated immediately and greeted by a wonderful server. Initially, I was enthralled by all of the decor. There's something to look at almost everywhere you turn, and you can tell that Boatyard is a special place to all who live in or visit Annapolis. We had fun reading about the restaurant's history online, too. They have a very extensive menu and we were very satisfied with our meals, especially the crab cake dinner. The nautical feel of this place makes me want to come back in the summertime!

Yelp
Food: The seafood was the star of the show! The crab cake sandwiches and calamari were particularly delicious, and the lobster mac was rich and creamy. The classic American fare was a solid complement to the seafood dishes. Cost: The prices were reasonable for the quality of the food. Environment: The atmosphere was typical of a casual American restaurant. It was clean and comfortable, the decorations here was so fun to look at! Service: The service was decent, with friendly and attentive staff. Uniqueness: While the seafood was good, the overall experience was fairly standard. It's a reliable choice for a good meal- would recommend to come visit at least once if you're looking for some American fare food with seafood spin and visiting the area.

Yelp
Quick lunch with the team and the recommendation to come here kept coming up. Crab cake dinner comes with two plus mashed potatoes and veggies. The best crab cakes I've had in years. The restaurant is decorated with marlin and other fun stuff. Our server was warm and kept the food moving quickly. Drinks were getting refilled at a breakneck pace. Do not sleep on the crab appetizer. Highly recommend. My new favorite spot in Annapolis.

Yelp
The food is always good. Got the Boss Burger for the 2nd time. So good. Huge!! Wife got fish tacos. Usually gets the grilled Mahi and went for the blackened. Said it has some kick but really good. The ambiance is second to none if you love the water. Fishing, boating, sailing, and waterfowl decor. Love it here and drive from S Jersey often to hit it up. Service is always great even when they are busy as all heck.

Yelp
If you're looking to sample true Maryland style seafood, this is your spot. The Boatyard is an excellent seafood spot in downtown Annapolis and worth the trip. The place is decorated with an obviously nautical theme and the a perfectly fun place to have a great dinner. So the food. The food is excellent, we nearly all got seafood (kids got a mix) and there was only one mildly disappointing dish. The manicotti was a bit bland and my wife wasn't a huge fan. I loved my swordfish, despite it nearly drowning in sauce and being worried it'd be overpowered, it was actually very well cooked and tasty. The crab cakes are what make Maryland famous and you won't be disappointed if you get them. We've had a few of these over the past few days at a number of restaurants and these were the best. The crab and artichoke dip is probably the best appetizer you can get, even beat out the oysters. The parking lot is small and there is limited street parking, so be sure to plan ahead. Reservations are highly recommended as it gets busy here.

Yelp
I had an amazing experience at Boatyard Bar & Grill with my dad. He had been before and told me they have the best crab cakes. I spent a lot of my time with my dad eating crabs so I trust this man's judgement on that. I'm so happy we came here because the food was incredible. We came for a late lunch and ate at the bar near the back. We were served pretty quickly. The bartender had great recommendations and got us our food quickly. We ordered a dozen of the two he recommended. I can't remember one of their names, but the others were called raspberry points. I really enjoyed our oysters. At one point, someone approached us with brand new on the market oysters (they didn't even have a name yet) and asked for our opinion. I was honored to be a part of this experience. It was fun to give feedback and suggestions on what to call them. They'll be the only restaurant in MD to have them, so I'm excited to return and see what they're called. We also split the crab cake entree with green beans and mashed potatoes. I'm drooling writing about those mashed potatoes, they were divine. And just like my dad had said, the crab cakes were incredible. I loved how lump the crab pieces were and how flavorful the whole thing was. I highly recommend ordering this. This place has a nautical vibe and tons of seating. I can't wait to come back.

Yelp
Fresh and delicious food, friendly waitstaff. Everything was just perfect. Seared tuna & fried calimari appetizers were perfectly prepared and had just the eight comdements. The crab cakes are ALL crab and so delicious, they come w mashed potatoes and string beans mmmmm! My reiend had the scallop crab-onera that came w garlic bread. It was divine. There is a shaker of Old Bay on the bar. It was busy, and there was a wait for a table. We found a spot to sit at the bar and we ate there. Will definitely come back.

Yelp
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Boatyard - we had an awesome table outside under the tent. The weather was perfect during the evening and it was great to be outdoors grabbing a great meal. We started with the oyster appetizer, which was good, but I'm not sure it was great. On our next visit, I would try a different appetizer, not that it was bad, but I'm wondering if something else is better. On the contrary, the crab cake dinner was awesome - and huge. Two of us split the meal (plus our app) and were stuffed. There was plenty of each section of the meal to feel like I had a balanced dinner with good flavor. I'm not confident that it's the world's best crab cake - but, it was pretty darn good. In their defense, I've not had many authentic Maryland crab cakes to be a good judge...maybe you can!

Yelp
We came for the seafood! Specifically the crab cakes! The restaurant is nicely decorated & clean with a tasteful, non tacky nautical theme and is a very spacious establishment. It wasn't crowded. We had a late dinner around 8:30pm. They also have a large covered outdoor seating as well. Service: We were seated promptly & received our food promptly. Our server was pleasant. We finished dinner and the check was paid by 9:15pm! Food: Crab cake sandwich - You want huge lumps of crab- no fillers? This. Is. Your. Place! I was astounded & excited to have so much crab meat that I didn't have to physically peel. Thank you! It was definitely worth the price! You have a choice of a side, one option being a cup of cream crab soup for a $3.99 up charge. My sister went with the cream of crab soup. She said it was soo good! I asked if it was better than Reynold's Tavern's cream of crab soup?? YES she said. So I had to have a taste to see if it was true. It was pretty darn good too! But Boatyard definitely has more crab meat in theirs. I stuck with the included side option of potato salad. I really enjoyed that as well. Their crab cake has a mellow flavor profile, not too much seasoning, but that crab meat is some sweet delicious meat alone! It came with tartar sauce which is subtle as well. My friend had the pan roasted salmon salad. It was a healthy size piece of salmon in its entirety on top of a bed of mixed greens. Hers looked fantastic as well. Although they didn't cook the salmon to her desired temperature, she said it still was really good and not dried out. Parking- they have their own parking lot, but somehow we missed the entrance to it so we did street parking. Nothing important, just reference to a celebrity pic in the restaurant bathroom. My sister noticed a picture of Good Charlotte with their wives Nicole Ritchie & Cameron Diaz in one of the woman's bathroom stalls. It makes sense since Good Charlotte are originally from Waldorf,MD. I got all excited & relived some college memories sharing the story of how I met Benji & Joel Madden at a Blink 182 concert at the Electric Factory in Philly in the late 90s, before they became popular. They were watching Blink 182 as well. I recognized them from when they opened up for Save Ferris at the TLA in Philly earlier. They were super stoked that I recognized them and that I remembered their names & band, & asked me my name. We chatted for a short bit and shook hands.

Yelp
Wanted to have some seafood so we read the reviews and decided to give this a try. Good pick from the group consensus. We had raw oysters (2 types) and calamari for appetizers. Dinner consisted of crab cakes (since there are signs all over saying that they have the best crab cakes) and fish and chips. Those that had the crab said it was very tasty. Fish and chips were fine. Desserts were key lime pie and brownies with ice cream. Loved the brownies choice more than the key lime one. All in all a good choice for a last minute search for a nice dinner. There's both outdoor seating (converted from parking lot) and indoor seating. Both require their own reservations. Outdoor seating turns out to be less noisy and cold. Great AC for a hot summer's day. Dog friendly - they provide a dog bowl with water for them.

Yelp
We went at 3pm on a Saturday and were seated immediately. The place was bustling. Pros: good food, fresh seafood. The Maryland crab soup was delicious and I recommend it. My husband liked the oysters (although he likes them to be more briney and some of them were a bit bland). He also got the soft shell crab sandwich, which he liked. I personally don't like the texture of the soft shell. I got the Cozumel shrimp salad, which was like a southwest salad with grilled shrimp. I really liked it! Service was good. Cons: a few flies/gnats flying around us during our meal. A couple gnats went into my husband's drink. Overall, we had a good meal here. It's a good option to consider if you're visiting Annapolis.

Eric R.

Yelp
First time here. Service at the bar. Only knocked off a star because the bartender forgot to bring her good personality to work. Ordered the Black n Blue Chicken Club ( listed as new item ). Excellent sandwich bumped up to some sweet potato fries which were done perfectly.

Yelp
I was invited to a work team lunch at Boatyard Bar and Grill last week, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. When I arrived, my group was already seated outside under the big tarps set up for outdoor dining. It was a perfect day for an outdoor lunch, with sunny skies adding to the pleasant atmosphere. To start, I ordered the cream of crab soup in a bowl. It was simply amazing--rich, cheesy, and packed with lots of crab. For my main entrée, I went with the softshell crab sandwich, having done some research beforehand. Whoever recommended this sandwich was absolutely right. It was incredible. The crab melted in my mouth, and the sandwich was extremely filling. The service was quick, and the servers were incredibly friendly. Our food came out promptly, which is always a plus during a work lunch. Although I never made it inside the restaurant, I am definitely looking forward to coming back and possibly exploring the indoor dining experience next time. Overall, Boatyard Bar and Grill provided an excellent dining experience, with delicious food and great service. I highly recommend giving it a try, especially the softshell crab sandwich!

Yelp
Always a great spot to when visiting Annapolis. Great crab cake dinner - very friendly and efficient service too.

Yelp
Boatyard was our go to place for consistent good food. We used to eat breakfast every weekend until they started opening up at 10 am instead of 8 am. We haven't been to Boatyard since the spring and shocked to see how much the prices went up. We usually get the turkey club for $12 and now it's $18! The crabcake sandwich was $25 and now it's $32! The place is always packed so I am not understanding how the prices are so high. Our waitress, Morgan, explained the Boatyard's crab cake platter is now $54 because Choptank charges $60. I told the waitress at least in Choptank you get a view of the water. There is no view at Boatyard. Morgan was a great server. I have no complaints about her. We won't be going to Boatyard much anymore if the prices will keep going up.

Patrick B.

Yelp
Excellent mealfrom beginning to end. First and only complaint: WHY don't restaurants have whiskey lists?! They have wine lists. They have beer lists. They have cocktail lists. But when it comes to whiskey, one has to go to the bar and peer at the shelves. Anyway, I discovered a really nice Knob Creek 8 year. Rant ended. M enjoyed her Lemon Crunch cocktail, and B had TWO (!) Admirals! The Cape Cod oysters were fabulous, big and sweet. and B enjoyed the Maryland Crab soup. She and I both had the rockfish special with broccoli rabe and lobster salsa, which we agreed was superior. M also enjoyed her salmon. I finished with an ice cream made with Old Bay Maple seasoning, and it was great! Kiersten our server was really excellent, friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Tip o' the hat!

Darren S.

Yelp
Best crab dip in Annapolis! The service is always great, and the character and ambiance of the restaurant is quintessential Annapolis. One of my absolute favorites that never disappoints!

Kathryn W.

Yelp
Boatyard Grill has some of the best crab cakes I've had in my life. I got a big bit of crab in each bite, and topped with the provided sauce and hot sauce, it was a delicious!!! I also tried the crab and lobster roll which was so delicious and buttery. For appetizers we got oysters and the whitefish dip. Both were amazing. We asked our server for recommendations on their favorite oysters, and we were really satisfied. The oysters were delicious, large, and juicy. So fresh and not too briney. I'm looking forward to coming back!

Suellina F.

Yelp
This was my first crab cake and my first visit to the state and restaurant. What a delight! The staff was soon kind and patient with me while I made my choice. The inside is very nautical and fun look at all the items on the walls. The food was phenomenal! The chicken noodle soup was very good, I loved the seasoning in the soup. I don't like seafood, but this was the best seafood I have ever had. This was a wonderful experience! The cost was what I felt was appropriate for the food that I got. It should be a must stop when in the area visiting! By the way, we split the meal and there was plenty. I did not leave hungry.

John S.

Yelp
Oysters are always fresh and they offer a very good selection to choose from. Service was also excellent

Anna S.

Yelp
Great food...had a flounder BLTA and fries that were lightly tempura fried. Service was great at the bar. Complete with loose Canaan iPA. Delicious!

Thomas T.

Yelp
This place has the best crab cake I've ever had. It had a good cream inside of it that added moisture and flavor. The crab was real and really good. The creamy crab soup was amazingly creamy and flavorful. I usually put hot sauce in mines but this one was so good without it. The blackened fish was alright. The scallops were good, good texture and flavor but not amazing. All in all everything was either good or great. I wana come back and try lobster roll which is available on weekends. The staff were friendly and answered all my questions politely.

Andreina S.

Yelp
We came here with our 2 kids on a Saturday. The wait was a bit long (as expected) but everyone from the staff was really nice and helpful. The food was good (not insanely good, hence the 4 stars). We ordered the kids burger and according to our daughter it was good. The fish and chips which were good too just not the best we've ever hard. The crap soup and the tuna salad which was actually delicious. The atmosphere was great, specially for the kids, it's so loud here so it didn't matter if our kids were being loud too.

L N.

Yelp
Let me tell you about the crab cakes...so delicious! Lots of real crab, well seasoned and was my favorite by far. I also had the scallops and fettuccine. Appetizer seafood empanadas were flavorful and crispy and the calamari was amazing! Service was friendly.

Preeti S.

Yelp
We always look forward to dining at this restaurant whenever we are in the area ( we live in northern Virginia). The crab dip is an absolute must... never disappoints! This time my husband got the Annapolis Harbor salad with Mahi Mahi. It's a really nice salad with healthy dressing. Mahi Mahi was cooked to perfection. I had the rockfish entree from the special menu. It came with risotto and broccolini. The risotto was very creamy and hearty. I found the fish to be little dry. Now the butter cake dessert is absolute heavenly especially with the toffee sauce and the vanilla bean ice cream !! We went in a Saturday evening and it was jam packed. The service is quite good.

Kelli G.

Yelp
Excellent service & delicious food! It was a booming Sunday afternoon. We checked in for a table for 2 and we were prepared to wait. We grabbed 2 drinks at the bar and barely took a couple of sips before we received a text that our table was ready. The hostess was so friendly and we were immediately seated. Our waitress was very pleasant and accommodating. We received our appetizer in minutes; it was so fast! The crispy crab balls are delicious! Fried perfectly and all crab! The fish tacos were so good. Different than I've had on the West Coast which was a fun change and they were so delicious! The fish was fried perfectly and no overwhelming oil/greasy taste. My husband loves a good burger and he said his was delicious along with the fries! I really liked how the menu had a large variety of choices. This is especially helpful when you have guests in your party with dietary restrictions or specific preferences. Although very busy, the restaurant had a great friendly vibe and wasn't so loud that you couldn't have a nice convo at your table. We'll definitely be back to try more yummy offerings - that scrumptious seafood tower is calling our name!!

Norma H.

Yelp
Food was delightful. Service was professional. Great times, and great vibes. The crab balls were addicting and dessert was the hit for our night. We're def coming back as there is a dog friendly eating area!

Annette I.

Yelp
Delicious food and excellent service in spite of a full restaurant during Plebes Weekend at the Naval Academy. There are about 10 parking spots behind the building and we were lucky enough to get one. We entered the convenient back door and wound our way to the hostess stand. We were seated right away and within a few minutes Joy greeted us with a smile and with professionalism. She was well informed about the menu. We ordered a crab cake sandwich, fried oysters, and fried calamari; and shared all with a glass of Sauvignon Blanc and a draft ale. The food arrived surprisingly quickly and was hot/perfectly seasoned/ cooked as requested. We were very happy with our experience and will be back.

Sophia H.

Yelp
- World's best crab cake dinner - great and filling. Not sure if I would call them the world's BEST crab cakes, but they were tasty. The house-made tartar sauce was good, and the mashed potatoes were absolutely delicious. - Yin and yang soup - half portion of 2 different soups: Maryland Crab Soup (rich and flavorful) and Cream Of Crab Soup (thick and creamy). Both soups were good, but I think Cream Of Crab Soup tasted better. I would've liked both soups to come in separate bowls or at least with a divider in between because both soups were served on the same plate and just kinda oozed into each other. - Maryland Smith Island Cake - great moist cake, with hot fudge on top.

Summer S.

Yelp
Friendly service. Local oysters were on point. Crab cake sandwich is crazy filling and pretty dense. Coke products, whoohooo!!!

Karen P.

Yelp
This is a popular place so think I just ordered the wrong thing. I got the Annapolitan omelette which has tomatoes, scallions, crab and mornay sauce. There were plenty of fresh tomatoes and scallions but such a small amount of crab in the center it was hard to find. Flavor was good and liked the sauce. I did not care for the potatoes that came with it. Bread was good. Service was great. Iced tea was good too.

Brooklyn C.

Yelp
Overall I had a good experience. I sat at the bar and was greeted immediately. The bartenders were friendly, the bar area was a nice size. This seems to be a popular place because It really got crowded around 5;30/6pm. The food was good, especially the crab dip. The oysters were good also. I'd come back for happy hour

Mariyam S.

Yelp
Went by for a dinner on a recommendation of a local. This place is worth the hype. We were told there would be a 30 minute wait for an indoor table, but they were able to seat us within ten minutes. We tried the crab cake dinner (about $47) with 2 sides (coleslaw and sweet potato fries), and the lobster and crab rolls (which came with a side of potatoes). Would highly recommend both dishes. The crab cakes were legit - very little filling, and lots of crab. Great portions. Sides were delicious. The rolls were a good size and could be shared if you're not super hungry. We shared these two dishes amongst 3 people, and got a cocktail (the shipwreck - wasn't a huge fan). Service was fantastic. It's a busy, bustling place, with a lively atmosphere. Would definitely come back.

Carol L.

Yelp
Awesome spot in Annapolis! Fun "crush cooler" cocktails are a must try. We tried the crab and artichoke dip, amazing!! One of our party ordered one of the pizza pies, super delicious. I had a bowl of the clam chowder and loved it. We decided to order a slice of the Maryland Smith Cake, yum!!! This is my second time here, definitely a fav now.

Denise J.

Yelp
I was visiting from Sacramento, CA and wanted an authentic taste of Annapolis. The high ratings and positive reviews brought me here. I'm so glad, because neither the food nor the ambience disappointed! The crab cakes were as delicious as everyone's said. Absolutely the best I've ever had. And the local oysters were divine. We had the Pattys Fattys and the Chincoteague (my visit was mid-September). Fresh and delicious. Delicate taste. The service was attentive and enthusiastic. The menu recommendations were perfect. The ambience perfect for oysters and crab cakes.

Paul Q.

Yelp
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at the Boatyard this evening. We had to park in the pay lot nearby as there is limited street parking. We were amazed at how quickly we were seated on a Friday evening. We sat outside as it was much quieter. The restaurant itself is pretty noisy. I decided to have the crabcakes which were amazing. I was slightly disappointed with the vegetable pairing of corn and mashed potatoes. The food arrived quickly after we ordered and our server Carly was pleasant and responsive. The bathroom was clean and decorated tastefully with lots of humorous and interesting artwork. This establishment was recommended by a local and I would definitely consider dining here again.

John M.

Yelp
Touristy nautical themed restaurant, clean and bright with indoor and outdoor seating in tent. The fresh raw Prince Edward Island oysters, oysters Antoine, boiled shrimp, and ahi tuna appetizers were all excellent . Service was friendly and fast. The wine list is very limited.

Kayla R.

Yelp
Stoped in for a quick lunch I had the oyster shooter and the mussels so delicious. Service is friendly and fast Outside seating is limited but inside is big and beautiful. When next I'm in the area I'd love to stop in for dinner!

Rodrigo T.

Yelp
After going out for a 1.7 mile run towards the water and only to find that the primary restaurant that we were going to were closes. We ended up here instead, only because when I saw showing yelp suggestions to my friend, he said this spot spoke to him for some reason. It's been a while since I was here, I even forgot that I did until I looked up the reviews and seen my 2015 old write up. Man, time flies huh? Anyways, let's get to it. Middle Neck Clams: Always something that gets me excited when I see these on a menu. Perfect prequel to any meal. I prefer them raw. Two thumbs up! Dozen Oysters: I don't remember what we had, but our server let us pick 3 different regional oysters. Every one of them are delish and super fresh. Also two thumbs up! Crab Cake Sandwich: Exactly what the server told us. It's what keep the light bill paid. It's so good, I could totally eat this all the time and not get tired of it. This also gets two thumbs up. The place is pretty spacious, although it started getting full right before we finished. So do call ahead because it's definitely a popular spot. Service is also pretty good. The host was super nice and the guy who took care of us was superb. I definitely would recommend it to anyone who's in the area looking for a darn good lunch. Thank you so much for reading my review. I hope this helps with your decision making experience. Enjoy your awesome yelptastic day!!!

Danielle G.

Yelp
Busy but efficient. Food was great... crab cake is the way to go! Mediterranean chopped salad was fresh and plenty.

Tom S.

Yelp
Stopped in for a light mid afternoon lunch. We each had soup, me a bowl of the Maryland Crab, she a cup of the Cream of Crab soups. They were both delicious. We followed that up with the mussels for our main course. Again delicious, and the French bread to suck up all that broth goodness can't be beat. We asked our server Greta for more bread and she kept it coming. Greta was very attentive and helpful. As we were leaving she even packed a to go box with just a little more bread for later. We will be back the next time we are in Annapolis.

Will M.

Yelp
A top spot in Annapolis to get an orange crush. Lots of local and nautical decor. Big outdoor space as well as a good sized bar area. Fish was lightly breaded and tasted super fresh.

Scott H.

Yelp
Food and service for very good. I had the crab cake dinner which was expensive, but tasty. Large crab cakes with a good portion of crab meat. Not at all enthused by the succotash. I actually like succotash, and this was not so good. Fries were extremely mediocre. If I were only rating the crab cakes themselves, this might be a four-star review. Appetizer salad met expectations in blue cheese salad dressing was tasty. Dining room was nice. Spacious and clean.

Yelp
We enjoyed the lunch at Boatyard Bar and Grill! The crab cakes are the best I've ever had - they truly are killer, no filler. A couple of us also got the grilled swordfish special on the paper menu and it was delicious. The swordfish was grilled perfectly, very juicy and seasoned well. The jalapeño avocado sauce was amazing!

Yelp
Really great place in the Annapolis marina area. The staff is super friendly, the ambiance is chill and casual. I ordered the ying yang soup which combines half Maryland crab soup and half cream of crab soup ( it was amazing). For my entree ordered the crab cake sandwich without the bun and a side of vegetables. Best crab cake I have ever had, it has no filler. Can't wait to visit again.

Yelp
I came to boatyard for an early lunch on a Friday afternoon this past September. The hostesses, bus boys, and my waitress were all extremely friendly and attentive. I was sat immediately and the staff was quick with drinks and food. The oysters were definitely my favorite part of this meal; super fresh, well shucked, and fairly priced.
