Where to Eat and Drink in Crystal City | Eater DC

"This diner used to be a small operation with two stand-alone locations, including this Crystal City outpost, but has since expanded to a mini local chain. Locals enjoy it for the basics, like biscuits and gravy or eggs cooked to order. Key: it’s also open 24 hours. — Missy Frederick" - Missy Frederick

This is a low key place with consistently good food and reasonable prices. I love that it’s close, open 24 hours a day, and has my favorite—half smoke. This isn’t the place for that special someone, but if you want a place to go in the middle of the night with friends for good food, then it’s your place. The service is what you would expect for somewhere like this, but it’s fair. Servers are friendly and get your orders right, which is a plus. As mentioned, my favorite here (and literally the only thing I’ve ever ordered or eaten here; it’s great) is the half smoke sausage, which I usually have with fries. This last time I asked for the fries to be extra crispy and they were perfect. My wife had a tuna melt with hash browns, and son a patty melt.

Google
Real solid diner. We stopped in for breakfast after catching a show at the Birchmere. We had about a 10min wait for a Sunday morning. Place was pretty busy. Reminded me a lot of a Waffle House. Real greasy spoon Americana. Blueberry pancakes were good. Hash browns were crispy and like waffle house, they had a number of add ons. Staff all seemed to share tables, so you always had someone checking on you. Definitely would stop in again, if in the area.

Google
Such a good diner. Our friends took us here since they’re regulars and absolutely love the Waffle Sundae Couples Delight. Our waitress, Mars, was a great host that made us feel welcomed and provided excellent service. Can’t wait to come here again!

Google
Bob & Edith Diner was within walking distance from our hotel, and with their convenient hours, we were excited to visit. We were not disappointed at all! The service was great, and the food came out quickly—hot, fresh, and delicious! The seating area was a bit cramped, and with all the tables occupied, it was a little tricky to move around. However, we made it work, and our family had a wonderful time. We’ll definitely be back on our next DC trip!

Google
Bob and edith’s diner is a staple of the DMV area. Some of them are open 24 hours which makes them fun experiences to pop into at any hour. They usually have daily specials that you can see on their displays for the day. I was able to pick up a burger, fries and shake for 16 bucks. If you decide to get their double cheeseburger just be warned that their burgers are very filling so unless you have a large appetite, I’d go with a single burger. All day breakfast is fantastic at any hour as well. Just another tip, there is free parking behind the restaurant. It’s under the black raised gate.

Google
A classic diner experience, nothing new here but in the best way. A tried and true formula and I had a great omelette which came quickly while still having great taste. Very friendly staff and I could have spent hours here

Google
I hardly ever leave reviews, but this was the BEST Country Fried Steak I have EVER had! It was so to die for! The mashed potatoes and gravy were creamy and the melted butter on the delicious vegetable medley was chefs kiss! 1,000,000 out of 10 recommend this place! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Google
Best omelette I had ever. Ordered the steak omelette. Loaded with flavor and did not disappoint. Prices are a bit high but that is DC for ya. Service was great even for a busy Saturday morning.

Yelp
I have been to Bobs and Edith's 3 times in three weeks! My work schedule is unsustainable because I work the night shift! Eating is sometimes out of control! Recently, I decided I wanted real food, not fast food, but prepared as if I did it or close to my own homemade meals! This is the best way for me to get my veggies, protein and some carbohydrates all at once at a reasonable cost! All the wait staff at the 23rd Street location and the North King Street location are amazing friendly and attentive! The food is good and the service is good as well! Good ole American Food! Kids welcomed! Best Milk Shakes and Coffee etc! I was so hungry I forgot to take a picture of the food today. I had French toast and country ham, ice water and coffee under $20. This cannot be beat! Last week better still Monday. I had fried pork chops, mashed potatoes and gravy and a really nice tossed salad. I can never eat everything, so I always have something to take home, so I can have a second meal! I don't know what more to say! I bypass McDonald's, Wendy's, Popeyes and the rest of them to go to Bob and Edith's . Bobs is always clean and fresh with nice booths and tables too! Enjoy your staff!

Yelp
Tourist spot!!! Service was excellent. Food was basic diner food nothing over the top. Dining area was pretty clean. Location is walking distance from the airport hotels... which is very convenient.

Yelp
Not the intended choice but there was seating available so a compromise ensued. Not sure why this particular restaurant is open today because they were out of everything no fish, no bananas, no this, no that and the sever told me that he could make a milkshake because there were too many people in the restaurant and he didn't have time. Completely disappointed and this is our first time at this establishment. Pros: French fries we decent Cons: Everything else

Yelp
I love Bob & Edith's Diner! It's VA's version of Waffle House in my opinion. For this visit I had the burger and fries. It was cooked well and the fries came out hot. The service is always quick and good. I took two girlfriend's with me and they enjoyed their meals as well! I really like the Crystal City location because they have free parking in the back.

Yelp
Not a good experience here. We went on a Saturday morning and although it was busy, it's hard to justify why. We placed our order and waited about 30 minutes for it. It was obvious our waiter had gotten the order mixed up with another table ( as that party had just arrived and were given the same items we ordered, and they were a much larger party, so many people were missing their food). We ended up having to ask different staff multiple times for our order, with no one ever really acknowledging they messed up. The other party ended up with partially cold food as they were waiting for many missing dishes. No apologies, no explanation. Food itself was OK as it was typical diner breakfast food, but we will never recommend this place or return here again.

Yelp
There is something special about an old fashioned diner. I don't know if its the bright lights, chrome furniture or the swivel seats at the counter, or the food deep fried or cooked on a flat top grill, but I love it. I ordered a tuna melt (not fancy but really tasty) and onion rings while my friend had a chicken sandwich and fries. The onion rings were thick cut but breaded, which were ok but I personally prefer battered. We split a piece of snickers pie, which was really good. Service was odd. He stood by the counter and seemed to be looking at us, but never came over to clear our plates and we finally went to him to ask about pie and again when we were ready to pay our bill.

Yelp
Bob & Edith's Diner is exactly what a classic diner should be--no frills, just good food at a fair price. The menu offers all the comforting staples you'd expect from a diner. Portions are generous, but not excessive, making it a great spot whether you're stopping in for a quick bite or a full meal. The pricing is reasonable, especially considering the location, making it a solid choice for those looking for a satisfying meal without breaking the bank. The service was warm and welcoming, with a friendly staff that keeps things moving without making you feel rushed. Overall, Bob & Edith's delivers on what it promises: a true diner experience with good food, fair prices, and great service. I'll definitely be back! Food Taste: 4 Overall Service: 5 Value of food to cost: 5 Facility: 4 Ambiance: Very Americana ambiance. Everything from the floors to the chairs. It's a winner in my opinion. Repeat customer: yes Dog Friendly: yes

Yelp
Came here for brunch with my dad, my wife, and my best friend before my dad's flight out of DCA on Juneteenth. My dad was nice to treat me and my wife for hosting him and my friend for driving him when the red line was closed and the shuttle that would have provided a faster shortcut downtown was closed due to the federal holiday. There was a wait inside despite decent seating, so we opted to go to the patio. Our first waitress came and took our coffee order but it was over 30 minutes without anyone returning to our table so my father went inside to talk to the manager. We had a second waitress who did not know who was serving our table before nor the manager. The service was faster but the second waitress still was forgetting to bring enough cream for my dad's coffee. The food was really good and fresh. Better than expected and definitely for the low prices for food anywhere inside the beltway. My wife and I shared Fresh Blueberry Hotcakes and a Cheeseburger Omelet. If we return to this location or others we will for sure not be in a hurry to get anywhere due to the inexcusable slow service our first time.

Yelp
::::Adding more drool-worthy pics:::: Celebrated my birthday yesterday with a pancake breakfast with my dad. Also: veggie omelette + home fries + pork sausage patties + orange juice Bob & Edith's NEVER disappoints; ALWAYS a hit. __ I eat. @f.hux I thrift. @DCthriftish

Yelp
Staff is friendly but service poor :(. There were just too many people and not enough staff. Maybe we visited on an uncommonly busy day, but our food took way too long to come out. On the plus side, the food was tasty overall! It's also a bit pricey in my opinion.

Yelp
I'm back to DC, just got off plane and immediately returned to Bob and Edith. I'm having omelets again this time with home fries. Service again is friendly and helpful. Egg perfect, notice no burnt area. Chef treats this delicate dish like a curator and a work of art. My husband had the Club Sandwich. Toast was crunchy, very tasty. Anyone who doesn't give positive reviews is either insane or works for completion. I'm a picky eater. Never bother reviewing unless it's amazing.

Yelp
Service was welcoming and warm on a cold morning. Staff were on their game and I could tell that regular customers were the norm but new customers, like myself, were treated as though I would be back (I will!!) I can honestly say that I would seek out this diner as a place to treat myself. Our wonderful and friendly server was Ren. The diner was busy and stayed busy for a Monday morning. Super close to Reagan Intl- in a neighborhood with hotels and houses/apartments, working class neighborhood. Our hotel was a short walk to the diner. It's got that old fashion diner feel with shiny new interior. Decor was a delight to see. Food was tasty and portions were larger- made sure the first meal of the day was going to make an impact.

Yelp
First time at Bob and Edith's. This is your classic no frill diner. Prices are great and food came fast and hot. Got the waffle and home fries smothered in cheese, onions, and peppers. Coffee was tasty and refilled a few times. No wait although it was full. Staff was attentive and made sure we were taken care of. This was a Sunday at 11 and parking was available in the tiny lot! I've lived down the street for years and pass it on my way to work so glad I finally made it in! Decor is old classic diner. Nothing over the top or pandering to social media people. Just a hometown feel mom and pop shop!

Yelp
Daily Breakfast Specials are large portions at a fair price. We enjoyed the ham & cheese omelette with grits, pancakes and sausage patties. The other order was the French toast with scramble eggs and turkey sausage. The French toast was fluffy. We ate more than half of our order before I remembered to take photos. The servers were friendly. The 50's diner vibe made it a pleasant place to eat breakfast. The restaurant location was only a five minute walk from the Hilton hotel where we stayed.
google avatar

Simone S.

Yelp
Very clean, nice friendly service. Waiter came right over and took our order. Food came out in timely fashion. Portions generous, piping hot and delicious! Prices reasonable and worth every penny. Good choice for all day breakfast!

Yelp
Don't get me mistaken, if you're a softer less tough individual definitely do not come here, if you can take the brunt and the roughness you'll be fine. I once saw a guy scream at a waitress and try to hit her and he was dragged out in handcuffs with a black eye and I'm all for that. The servers are nice and usually pretty fair with service time though it can take a bit if it's busy and the ambiance though hectic is wonderful. would recommend the B&E burger.

Yelp
Bob & Edith's Diner has been a cornerstone of my life, and for good reason--it's consistently delicious and always feels like home. Whether it was grabbing a bite after high school sports games, making a late-night stop to refuel after a night out, or enjoying Christmas morning breakfasts with family, this diner has been part of so many cherished memories. The food is always spot-on. My go-to order is 2 scrambled eggs with crispy corned beef hash and their unbeatable home fries. The home fries deserve a special shoutout--real potatoes, perfectly fried on the griddle, with that irresistible crispy edge that makes you want to savor every bite. The staff here are fantastic, always friendly and efficient, no matter how busy it gets. Bob & Edith's is the kind of place that feels like a constant in an ever-changing world, and I'm so grateful for it. If you're looking for a classic diner experience with consistently great food and warm service, this is the spot!

Yelp
A neighborhood go to for lazy Fridays for us. The place isn't usually packed in Fridays, so was seated immediately. It's a beloved local diner. Good service. I did order a medium steak and it was thoroughly cooked. Two Fridays ago when I was here, they also got my order wrong. I ordered the Western omelette and ended up with a cheese and ham omelette. They did make it right with another western omelette.
google avatar

Chris W.

Yelp
Above average no-frills diner. Standard diner breakfast menu. The sausage gravy and homemade chipped beef looked amazing but I remained disciplined to my low carb diet. I ordered a Western omlet and substituted sliced tomatoes for the side carbs (grits/potatoes and toast). Prices are good. Basically same prices as fast food (think arches) these days. The diner building is super cool. Think fusion of old school 50s diner and modern architecture. The inside is standard diner, nothing exciting. The staff was large allowing them to be inexpectedly attentive on a busy Saturday morning.
google avatar

Jim W.

Yelp
This particular Bob & Edith's is head and shoulders above the others! The food is always delicious. The service is almost always flawless and the ambiance is pure Americana!

Christopher S.

Yelp
ALLERGEN WARNING. The menu appears to be labeled for many allergen/dietary restrictions. It is inaccurate. We had a person with a severe dairy allergy in our group and were informed that all items are cooked on the same grill with butter on it. So if you're concerned about allergens, don't take the menu for what it states. Wait staff were kind and attentive.

Yelp
I'm on a mission to go to every Bob and Edith's location!!! I love this place. I got my usual - the chicken fried steak with gravy, eggs and hash browns and it was delicious! It was right off the hot plate. I love the clinking of cups and plates and the conversation white noise at diners, and this Bob and Ediths is no different! I want to point out the service I received here was the best. I felt so taken care of here even though I was eating myself. It just left me feeling very happy :).
google avatar

J A.

Yelp
I honestly wanted to love this place! It was just so absurdly busy that we didnt have the best service. I got a cheese omelette with cheddar and what i received was one with american cheese. So that sucked. The place was so packed but everyone was relaxed and having an amazing time. I got to sit and talk with my friends so i really enjoyed the visit. I think if it wouldnt have been so busy, it had a chance at being a higher rated spot.
google avatar

Sarah F.

Yelp
Perfect diner experience. Took about 3 minutes to get a table and the food came fast. It tasted delicious and the service was good! I got the pancakes (multigrain and regular, both good) with bacon and both were perfect. definitely recommend stopping by! It's a cute mom and pop restaurant to support!
google avatar

Yelp
Food is good. Service is excellent! Get a milkshake. Relax and enjoy. I go there every time I'm in the area. Not the same ambiance as the original, but not as crowded either.
google avatar

Jen T.

Yelp
No pics this today. Service was blah. Heck many of the servers looked extremely irritated and unhappy. Ordered a coffee. They never offered a refill. Should have saved that cost for Starbucks... I would have at least had a better bang for the buck. Came after the food, which was already a decent wait time. They really seem to assign 2 tables per server. No wait to sit, several open tables, but still 75% full. The restaurant was atrociously hot and humid, like the ac (if they have one) was broke. I probably won't return if I'm in the area again.
google avatar

Yelp
Early flight into DCA we found Bob & Edith's Diner which is 24 hours and delicious for any time of day. We opted to try lunch and breakfast and we both found the food very flavorful, hot and filling. The coffee was very good and always refilled. Jennifer our server was absolutely delightful. Jennifer answered all our questions, explaining what Half Smoke is and the One eyed Burger. Jennifer and all the staff are very friendly. The diner is very clean with interesting art work on the walls. Seat yourself at a clean table or sit at the breakfast bar where you can watch the cooks prepare your order in front of you. Whenever in Arlington, VA we will stop by for a bite of great food and great service.
google avatar

Shameeka B.

Yelp
Nice diner that's not overly priced, they have multiple locations within Northern VA. This location has a nice outdoor seating deck area (covered). They give a good amount of food as well, and the turkey sausage has this slight spice/seasoning to it. As all locations, they're opened 24/7.
google avatar

Ashley H.

Yelp
The best classic diner! The service was great, the waitresses were all very attentive and had the best vibe. We both ordered the strawberry milkshakes then I got the hot cakes with ham and a side of hash browns and the iconic b&e burger. The strawberry milkshakes were really rich and creamy, next time I would just order one to split. The burger may be named iconic but the most iconic thing here is the hot cakes! I got mine with chocolate chips and it was the best pancakes I've had! And I am one that tends to like savory food way more than sweet. That being said, I was not able to finish all of it but it was still really delicious the next day as leftovers! Ham was ok, next time I would order the bacon to get something more crunchy.

Karen B.

Yelp
We walked a short 10 minutes from our Crystal Gate Marriott to Bob & Edith's Diner. Extensive diner menu. Friendly staff. I had liver & onions which were served chopped in tiny pieces and was over cooked. Hubs had chopped steak which was so so. All this doesn't make up for the dirty window sills and floor which I only noticed as we were finishing up and I stopped to look around. Won't be going back.
google avatar

Matthew F.

Yelp
Not a fan of the concept at all, and the execution has been poor everytime I've been prior. The fare is greasy, fatty, ultra-processed American fare. Bleh. Doesn't help that the fare is often overcooked and/or inundated with salt. The service is also often mediocre; more than half the time the servers are rude, terse, and barely speak enough English to get by. The ambiance gets a star because the decor is rather nostalgic, and the place feels welcoming enough when you enter, but avoid after dark as the loud and boisterous trans-Potomac crowd often show up and antagonize customers, while the employees stand back and do nothing.
google avatar

Naomi C.

Yelp
Service is awful. Stopped by late night after not eating since 10am to grab dinner since my husband's flight was delayed. There were 4 tables in the place and the waitress told me to sit anywhere, which I did, and then took her time coming to greet me (2-3 minutes). When she came, I ordered my usual water and was about to ask her a question and she says "just a minute" and walks off in a hurry. To a table 5 tables away where NO ONE WAS SITTING, in a 75% empty restaurant, to bus the table and (presumably) pick up her tip. She took the plates and cups to the back, checked on another table and came back with my water. I, again, attempted to order and she said "just a sec, I'll be back." I had now been here about 10 minutes. At a diner. Trying to order two eggs. Between her last circuit, a young man had come in and sat at the table next to me. She went to him and asked if she could get him anything to drink and IMMEDIATELY engaged him in conversation and took and put in his order. I walked out and won't be back. I'm typically a 100% plus tipper at a diner but they'll never see a penny of my money. The Z Burger people down the block are quite nice, if overpriced lol, but I'll spend where I'm respected.

Yelp
I worked here when it was Flo's dinner in the 1980's thanks for keeping the vibe alive! Good food, friendly service and surprisingly reasonable prices for LBI! Awesomeness

Yelp
This is a little hole-in the wall in Crystal City in Arlington. There are other locations in Northern Virginia, so please don't get them confused. This has been a go-to when I lived in Arlington nearly 20 years ago. It had been since before the pandemic since I had been there so it was a nice return. A friend is a Flight Attendant and was staying at a local hotel, so I picked her up and we went here. She is skinny but is also Southern and knows good food and she knows good service. Walking in you feel like you are walking back into the 50s. It's clean but definitely has that old style diner look and feel. We were seated quickly and they took our drink order and brought them while we looked at the menus. It can get loud so you sometimes have to repeat the order but the young lady read it back to us to make sure it was accurate and asked how we liked our eggs and verified that (over medium) as well. They came out perfectly over medium. The sausage and bacon were cooked well but not overvooked and the waffle was tasty and both crispy and soft. I need to come back here and bring my best half and the minions. My close friend and I used to bring her neice and they were great with the kids and had crayons and a coloring menu. That was 2003/2004 just to put it in perspective. One day I am sure that the Crystal City sports bar next door will want to expand and we will lose Bob & Ediths. But, until then, I am happy this place is going strong.

Yelp
Ambiance and service wise this place is a 10 .... food wise however it is NOT it and I don't understand the good reviews and people who recommended it to me.. the hash browns were undercooked, eggs were watery and had a weird taste and texture, country fried steak was good but gravy lacked flavor. I wish I had chosen somewhere else.. left forcing myself to finish my food.

Yelp
I have been going here on a regular basis for the last year, and have gone out of our way to go on Tuesdays and Thursdays as kids eat free those evenings. The food is nothing special but the free meals made it worth it. Went tonight and were saddened to see our bill that the restaurant no longer offers kids eat free on those days and additionally that the "patty melt & fries" that we ordered was $2 more than the daily special price and when we inquired were told "we did not order the daily special." I asked what the difference is between a "special" patty melt & fries and a patty melt & fries and was not given an answer. Unfortunately there are too many other good restaurants in the area that I will not be returning after these issues this evening. The main incentive in returning regularly was the free kids meals as they enjoyed them. Really saddened by this!

Yelp
sigh...I was expecting a decent take out meal. I ordered a ham/cheese sandwich, chicken tenders, french fries, and steamed veggies. The vegetables were undercooked, and hard to chew. The chicken tenders lacked flavor and the fries were cold. Even my apple pie lacked flavor. The service was nice overall. We came during Friday night rush, so I am not sure if that was the reason for the lackluster food. We will dine in next time.

Yelp
Following a night out in DC, my partner and I had a late night craving. We decided to try and hit up the original Bob and Edith's Diner. Entering in the restaurant name in the GPS navigation, the first search result was selected and it took us to the Crystal City location. This is not the original diner, as that one is located in Arlington on Columbia Pike. But I'm glad we came here. The diner wasn't crowded around 10:00 pm. Unfortunately, the kitchen griddle needed to be cleaned right when we got there, so we had to wait about 15 minutes before any cooking could be done. Service was pleasant and the food was good. I ordered my go to order of corned beef hash, which is what I always order when at the Springfield Bob and Edith's, and it was satisfying. Can't wait to check off all the other Bob and Edith's locations off the bucket list!

Yelp
Waited 40 mins for my food to come out just to send it back and walk out hungry. Nice people working there but the food was just way too oily. I got nauseous after a few bites. Coffee was bad too. It tasted burnt and old. I see why this place has the star rating it does....

Yelp
The morning after moving my son into his new apartment we wanted to give Bob and Edith's Diner a try. Coming from Jersey we have high expectations for diners and Virginia hasn't provided much to cheer about...but we really liked this place. Unlike NJ diners, this place a a simple menu and it was exactly what I wanted. Wifey and I both got eggs and bacon, but she had home fries and I had grits (yes, this Jersey boy loves his grits) and my son got an omelet with tomato, onion, bacon and cheese. The food was great and the coffee was delicious. This place is really cute and has a simple decor, but it made it feel like home. Our waitress, Jennifer, was great...very attentive and made sure we had what we needed. I'd like to come back and try some of the other options the next time I'm down in Arlington.

Yelp
Food at night. Not sure I would travel to this location if I wasn't already out this way... but who doesn't need another 24hr dinner in their Rolodex! Standard diner food, but super clean place for a never closing locale. It's a bit bright for 3am but if one needed to sober up, there's enough (for those who eat gluten) bread (pancakes waffles) and salt (potatoes and grits) to soak up the best of a bartender's heavy pour. Service was good. All the utensil items made it to the table and our needs were seen after with a smile - that time of the night/morning, what more do you want?? For my GF folks... yea... we're not getting pancakes here, so don't get excited because I still gave four stars... clean places with nice people on the very late night are my soft spot, they fit right in the pocket.

Yelp
I've wanted to try this diner for a while. I like the 50-60's feel with the architecture. Unfortunately the food was just average. What we got: Multi grain hot cakes with a side of sausage - 3* the hot cakes were fresh but on the doughy side. I didn't mind but they did seem a tad undercooked. Biscuits and sausage gravy with hash browns - 3* underwhelming. There just wasn't much flavor to the sausage gravy and the biscuits weren't anything special. The hash browns had a nice crunch to them and were good with ketchup and hot sauce. Cherry vanilla milkshake - 3* the presentation is beautiful with the cool whip (not my favourite taste and a bit much, in my opinion). The shake itself is very thick, which I loved. It's nice that they let you mix flavors, unfortunately we didn't love the cherry. I think I would give the shake another shot, just with a different flavor. Though... It was on the pricier side so maybe not.

Yelp
Very cute little place. Probably a vibe in the springtime. The service was exceptional. Hands-down one of the best waiters I've had in a while, and definitely one of the best waiters I've had at a diner. The food was whatever. We had heard good reviews about the biscuits and gravy. They were trash. Other than that, it's pretty standard diner food. It's absolutely edible and it's the vibe that you're looking for. I would recommend for breakfast or those diner cravings. Don't expect anything fancy. That said, the prices are a little high for traditional diner prices, but they make sense for the area. For four people, we paid 90 or so dollars.

Yelp
Great service. The waiter and waitress are a team and won't leave your cup empty. Food was fast, fresh, and yummy. They don't have oatmeal which is fine - had to mention for the steel cut oatmeal fans. Visit! I will definitely visit again.

Yelp
Perfect choice for a Sunday morning. "Bob & Edith's Diner" is definitely a local favorite that we've enjoyed for years. We are still getting adjusted going to this Crystal City location since the Columbia Pike location has been our go to for over 12 years. Regardless the location we've still been able to enjoy the same good food and was lucky enough to have one of the waiters from the Columbia Pike location service us today. We arrived at 10:00am and luckily there was two open tables at that time, by 10:26am there was a line out the door. "Bob & Edith's" does not take reservations and upon arrival just grab the first open table you see. Waiters will get to you fast and if you have a little wait just check out their "daily specials" board with all their most popular items for a great deal. I enjoyed my usual special, which is French toast with bacon & eggs. Their French toast is the best and everyone I seem to recommend it to gets hooked on it also. My Husband had the breakfast sampler which came with.... 2 hot cakes, 2 eggs with cheese (optional), ham, bacon, sausage and home fries. The home fries were a little disappointing this time but when made correctly are delicious.

Yelp
Based off a late brunch in a packed house The place is a seat yourself spot. They ask you just wait until the tables are cleared before you sit down. We opted for sitting outside since there was an open table. Glad we did, the weather was nice and not as noisy or crowded on the patio. Server was attentive and food was fresh and hot. This place is what I wanted in a diner! Had the two eggs, scrapple and homefries WITH chili, cheese and onions. Server recommended home fries and they were on point. Next visit I'll go for regular hash browns with all the fixing though. They're like good ol aweful waffle but fresher and extra tasty! Wife had an omelet hashbrowns covered with gravy. All excellent! And we split a pancake. Like any good diner they are open 24hrs a day and have TONS of options for food. Next time we're in Crystal City we're trying their other than breakfast options!

Yelp
I want to really encourage to try this place but at the end of the day, I would still prefer Waffle House. Eggs come out watery. Unsure if it's because we ordered it with ham.. or if eggs are cooked from the box? Juice was watered down... it somewhat tasted like back in the day, school breakfast. The service is great though and you do get your typical diner feel. Nothing too great or fancy about this place that makes it stand out. I would pass and I wouldn't let the crowd and long lines fool you.

Yelp
Classic diner far. Service was wonderful, they were very gracious to accommodate a large group of us last minute.Food was made quickly and portions and prices generous. They have a good variety on their menu, something for everyone. Clean and well run, it does get very smoky in here though. Open early, good option for the area.
