"There are a lot of bizarre little hamlets in Massachusetts, but Plum Island might be the most bizarre. The beach might be falling into the sea, but at least they’ve got Bob Lobster. The lobster roll is (obviously) the star, but the fish sandwich isn’t half bad either. Bob Lobster is currently offering outdoor seating and takeout." - Terrence Doyle

"There’s nothing like a nice and functional train station restaurant is there? Well if you’re looking for one next to London Bridge, don’t go to Bob’s Lobster. Sure there are more cost efficient options on the menu than their £20 lobster roll, but you’d hope their namesake would be worthwhile. Unfortunately it isn’t. The space itself is fine and it serves a purpose: for people to grab a drink before or after getting a train. But with Borough Market so close by, there are far better places to spend the best part of £20-£30, which is what you’ll probably do here." - Jake Missing

We really enjoyed lunch and dinner here. A good amount of outdoor picnic tables overlooking the marsh. Small indoor seating, but it wasn’t too busy when we were there so no issues with seating. They sell Pepsi products. My mom said they didn’t have cocktail sauce. We each enjoyed 1 1/4lb lobsters for dinner which came with fries and Coleslaw. The coleslaw is very good, just wish it came with more! I also got the Caesar salad but wish I didn’t because it was too much food. The salad was huge on one of those large oval paper plates. The parm on top was nice. For lunch my mom got the 1 1/4 lobster again with fries and Cole slaw + the small whole belly clam basket. She really liked them but did say they weren’t as tender as another spot in/near Kennebunkport. I got the fried oyster dinner and loved them. They were small to very small, but I honestly enjoy them more that way. Probably 30 or so of them. Tons of fries. Probably should have just gotten the oyster basket - not dinner. Would recommend this spot!

The food it’s really good. The outside area to sit it’s nice but unfortunately the seagulls will attack you and steal your food. Also the mosquitos are serious! Bring bug spray or sit inside; although indoor seating it’s very limited. Keep in mind this place opens only during season.

Google
I had the spicy lobster roll which was a good mix up from a regular lobster roll, although it really wasn't spicy. The lobster poutine was good and quite a lot of food. The clam chowder was also good. I enjoyed the food, but it was a bit pricey, which is why I did not give five stars.

Google
Very interesting place. We went with the whole family for dinner and we enjoyed it very much. The food was very tasty. The staff was very willing, they showed the children the lobsters, they could look at them and touch them. We ordered quite a lot and didn't wait long. There is seating both outside and inside. It was obvious that the place is popular, many people came during the time we were there.

We came here for lunch on Oct 31 while vacationing in Boston and had a wonderful time. I had not been to Bob’s in over 5 years and was happy that the quality was still on point. We had a clam boat, oyster boat, and 1.5lb whole lobster. Everything was delicious. The service was also top notch. The bathroom and lobster tank were immaculate in cleanliness. Thank you!

Google
I know their food is great, I’ve been there previous years… but twice since they’ve opened this season I’ve tried to go there and give them $200 and have not been able to. Both times, both beautiful 80+ degree days, they have closed earlier than what their hours are posted on both their website and Google. No one answers the phone, so I have to drive there to find out and be disappointed. The first time I assumed it was a fluke and perhaps a reason behind it. Tonight I pulled in at 7:15, their hours state 7:45, it’s a gorgeous day with people everywhere, I called twice to place my order, no answer; I drive up and the closed sign is on the door. I peered in and there’s a girl sweeping and two boys just hanging around. No one can answer the phone? And why close early? It’s summer and there are potential customers all over NBPT and Plum Island today. Still tables eating outside. I can’t make sense of it. They should either change their posted hours or train the staff better. I’m not sure I want to do a third attempt this season.

Google
Drove by this place for about 10 years finally stopped by for brunch. Door was delicious: we got clam chowder, calamari, Caesar with shrimp, lobster roll. Very good size positions and delicious.

Google
Food was quick but disappointing, not sure if we ordered the wrong things. Fish and chips wasn’t very crispy and the tartar sauce was just okay. Fried calamari was a bit rubbery. Was hoping for better given the price.

Donna C.

Yelp
The batter in the food has changed. Very greasy compared to what it used to be. Same amount, small increase in price.

Bruce M.

Yelp
I haven't been to Bob's this season- I live out of the area, but for us Bob's is a beloved annual tradition. I hadn't come on Yelp planning to give a review, but frankly, I was disappointed to read some of the lackluster reviews here. I'm not a man who is prone to drama, hyperbole, or exaggeration. But in the pantheon of lobster restaurants/shacks/experiences, Bob's reigns supreme. It's not just the food, although the lobster is wonderful, and the onion rings are to-die-for: hand-cut and breaded, thin, flavorful-- I savor them, slowly, one at a time. Yum! As I began to say though, the location is magic- Basically, an unprepossessing lobster shack in the windswept dunes. I'd urge you to experience Bob's- at least once a year. Make it a tradition.

Dominique D.

Yelp
Went to plum island for the first time and saw that Bob lobster was a top recommendation. I got the large lobster roll with a side of small fries. It was pretty pricey for the amount and I wish I saw what a regular lobster roll looked like to compare. The lobster was good but had small pieces under the bigger ones. The bread was also super dry. The service was okay and we were able to choose our own seating. Not sure if I would go again but if you want something right near the beach or the walking trails, give it a try.

John M.

Yelp
Don't go expecting a fine dining experience, but this place is a beautiful scenic spot with some great food. Seafood classics like lobster rolls and fried fish at a somewhat affordable price. Great view of a beautiful area.

Eliza N.

Yelp
The prices have gone up much like other takeout places. My fish and chip plate w unsweetened ice tea w tax was about 28.00. Price listed on the Yelp page for Bob Lobster are quite outdated. Do your homework. Listed her is a Fisherman's platter for 21.00. It is now 44.00 including tax. There is nothing like eating seafood outdoors at Plum Island. It will be a picnic next time. It was very good.

Phil T.

Yelp
If your day needs a booster, then opt for a lobster. At Bob Lobster they foster the finest from Gloucester. It will cost ya' a lot, sir, I mean, we're talkin' lobster, but these babies are monster, like Nomar on the roster. So, let me be your tipster, when it comes to lobster, When you're done with your meal, throw that shell right in the dumpster, Or your house might stink worse than low tide on the harbor. And if you're not an east coaster, don't fluster or stutter, go to the counter and ask, "hey chief, how much you charge for a lobsta?" So drive fast to Bob Lobster, don't let anything stop ya' Not even a mobster from Worcester could keep me from lobster! Don't settle for an imposter, just opt for the master, and that's Bob Lobster, the all time OG of good lobster.

Anrana S.

Yelp
I used to love this place. It was a go-to on beach days pre-pandemic. But our recent visit on Mother's Day was a HUGE disappointment. The menu has changed - no more hot lobster rolls. Just the cold ones. And now the cold ones are jacked up with tons of filler - lettuce and celery. I almost felt like I was eating a veggie roll, not a lobster roll. Wil not be back.

Bob S.

Yelp
This place used to be great. The new owners must be relying on tourist traffic and don't expect repeat customers. We got fish and chips with half onion rings, half fries. The onion rings were an unidentifiable lump of greasy batter, and the fries weren't much better. The fish was okay but a tiny portion. We used to spit this now it barely feeds one. The lobster roll was generous (no fillers or mayo), just lobster meat plopped on a grilled hotdog roll. That might have been good if the lobster was refrigerated. The lobster was room temperature as was the coleslaw. The only upside was the small dining room had AC. If they stay open it's going to be a long winter when the tourists go home. You can't fool the locals. We used to be repeat customers. Now it's just an expensive tourist trap that lacks any charm.

amanda d.

Yelp
$120 for two lobster rolls and a small fried clam. We waited an hour for food (58 minutes!) The fried clams were $30 and we got 12 of them. My partners lobster roll had huge chunks of celery, an abomination, and zero chunks of lobster. It was more like lobster salad. I got the bougie lobster roll with lemon and tarragon mayo. Lobster was nice and chunky with a whole claw in there but the mayo was just a dollop on top? It was a 3.5 star lobster roll but getting robbed blind on the clams and the ridiculous wait for food means we won't be back.

Tom B.

Yelp
Too expensive for what you get. This is just for the clam dinner and I understand how the price of clams fluctuate. But I ordered a fried clam dinner for $35 and all I received was 13 clams, which is ridiculous. The Park Lunch, same price you get 2-3x more clams.. it's about the price:clam ratio lol. However the clams and onions were good.

ginger m.

Yelp
Worse this year than last! The scallops were fishy and clearly frozen. Even the seagulls at the beach wouldn't touch that swill!

Victoria T.

Yelp
Really cute and small lobster shack! There's outside seating and little parking, which there is an employee monitoring. I saw him turn people away because there was no parking spots left. It gets pretty busy at times. I got a lobster roll, chicken tenders, and calamari. The calamari was just okay, not flavorful, but the aioli sauce made it better. I think the chicken tenders were the best thing we ate. Really good. The lobster roll was small and expensive, but the lobster meat was sweet, which is good.

Duncan F.

Yelp
I miss Bob's Lobster by former ownership. New take-out restaurant has decided to remove the fresh seafood counter and other pleasantries such as homemade brownies next to cash register. Ice cream is gone too. All prices have gone up a couple of dollars. Instead of live lobsters being sold by the pound, they have set prices as if lobsters all have the same weight?? The fish sandwich I ordered was okay but not great and much smaller than last year's model. The bun is not as good either.

Beth K.

Yelp
The twin lobsters were so good ... impeccably fresh lobster on Plum Island . 91 degrees and way to hot too eat under the tent and fight green flys with my dog ( they actually aren't that bad this July) . Left the dog on the boat and ate inside with AC. They have great seafood pies to take home from the market shrimp, lobster, scallop or haddock pies filled with lobster cream sauce and a butter crumb topping.. Coleslaw tastes homemade and is the bomb. I got a small ramekin with twin lobster meal and I was left wanting more. The neighboring table had the fisherman's platter I was drooling over the basket of golden fried haddock, clams, scallops and shrimp .I'll be back to try ! Local Classic IPA from Riverwalk IPA brewed in Newburyport .The staff is so helpful and never made me feel rushed ! Bob's you are the best.

Jay P.

Yelp
We asked many of the locals where to go for some tasty seafood and lobster offerings. Many suggested Bob Lobster so we gave it a shot. They had a great assortment of specialty lobster rolls, as well as traditional. I had the Avocado lobster roll, which had two slices of fried avocado on top of a buttery roll and nice chunks of lobster. Wife had the fried clam plate, which was a nice size portion of full bellied clams on top of crispy fries. All the food was really good and the clams were lightly battered and not overpowering. They had a good variety of local beers and soda. We sat outside and the sea gulls were annoying. Price was what you would expect at a summer tourist spot. No waitstaff, but they do bring the food out to you

Robert H.

Yelp
Total junk now that they changed hands. Frozen seafood, crappy batter, horrible. Have been stopping here for years when heading to the beach. Never again.

Diane R.

Yelp
Very disappointed, greasy onion rings, fake fries, yellow battered fried haddock, bland Cole slaw etc. locations alone will not make up for the so so food. Not nearly as good as past years, plenty of better options for seafood & better prices elsewhere.

Peter O.

Yelp
We were on vacation in Plum Island, MA with my family and my daughter's family. This was a road side restaurant that had everything a family could possibly want. There were seats inside and picnic tables with tents outside. Outside we were able to see wildlife on the marshes. It was a great experience for our grandkids, who saw blue herons and cranes. We saved a table and my wife and daughter went inside to order our meals. We had clam chowder, lobster rolls with French fries, hot dogs, and fish and chips. When our food was cooked the wait services brought our food out steaming hot! Excellent food and excellent service. We sat and talked and we're never rushed. If you visit Plum Island visit Bob Lobster restaurant where you get excellent seafood at a reasonable prices, and great atmosphere, this restaurant is a must! Enjoy life and enjoy your food! Stay safe and keep healthy! All the best to you and yours!

Judith L.

Yelp
Bobs has new owners and we were excited to try it out. What a disappointment!!! Omg. They served frozen onion rings, the haddock was bland and tasteless and the Cole slaw had no dressing at all!! You have one chance to make a good first impression and they completely blew it. We would have been regulars but now will not return

Meg C.

Yelp
Surf and turf lobster roll was tasty, lots of chunks of good lobster meat - honestly didn't even really need the extra short rib and bacon jam. The bread was perfectly toasted with butter and held up to all the fillings. It wasn't cheap ($37), but felt sated afterwards and we really enjoyed eating outside and taking in the expansive view of the marshes and sky. Service was fine and the establishment was clean. A solid seafood place to grab a bite near Plum Island.

Get P.

Yelp
Perhaps best fried clams I have had. Very fresh with solid batter - not over the top - has almost a light taste to it. Liked the sweet potato fries option to have with fried fish. Will be back this summer to fry some lobster Cool setting and fish shack vibe / view

Jeffrey C.

Yelp
Was our favorite seafood spot for years. Sadly, new management appears to have made many changes for the worse and we won't be back. Over an hour wait for food after ordering at 3 in the afternoon, no more orders brought to you at the picnic tables, no condiments outside only tiny self serve cups inside, miniature drink cups (with no other soft drink options), terrible fries (which used to be a highlight), and worst of all overcooked, overpriced seafood. It pains me to write this review as we have happy memories at Bob's and looked forward to it every summer, but others shouldn't have to waste their time or money like we did today.

Sasha T.

Yelp
it is too pricey for what you get at this place. We got two lobster rolls for $77 (no drinks, tip included) - it is a price for a dinner in Boston. and the tip- for what? an excessive number of school/college kids doing nothing. With a reasonable competitor across the road, this Bob Lobster will get empty.

John B.

Yelp
I've been going to Bob's lobster for 6 years now. this was the worst experience I've ever ever had. got a fisherman's platter. got two pieces of fish that were about the size of a scallop and they didn't taste like haddock. it tasted like chicken. my daughter got a haddock plate. it tasted like chicken. it was unbelievable. anyways, found out new owners that says it all last time I go there. sorry man you lost a family of customers

Larry G.

Yelp
Waited 35 minutes for a takeout clam and scallop plate........only about 6 clams in the p-late.......french fries werent cooked right and I paid $39 for a lousy meal.....NOT going back there!

Peter L.

Yelp
Always been a fan. Got takeout. Fish and chips were ok. Scallop roll $17.99 had 4 scallops, no fries. Ridiculous. Too many other places to go with better quality and quantity.

Janet C.

Yelp
Bob Lobster must be under new ownership again. We've been going there every spring/summer for the last 4 years. They were our go-to for fried seafood. Always excellent. Not this time however. No resemblance at all to what we are used to. Haddock was bland and watery. French fries are completely different. They used to be crispy and delicious. We would always anticipate having their fries just as much as the seafood. Unfortunately, we will not be back.

Tia Y.

Yelp
We stopped by Bob's and we just beat the crowd. Plenty of outdoor seating available with shade for the hot summer afternoons. We ordered the lobster along with fried coconut shrimp, whole belly clams, and the crab cake. Everything was fresh and yummy in our tummies. Our nieces and nephews loved their first experience with seafood here and we look forward to returning again!

Linda S.

Yelp
so we used to go here because the seafood was light and not greasy, and although you my pay a little bit more, the portions were generous. So today we decided to splurge on a scallop box because we had already eaten lunch and we got it home. We paid $25 for it. All the scarves were cut in like thirds, like 1/4 inch thick. Any chef knows that is not the way you treat a Scallop, besides being cheap about what you're giving your customers here is what I got for $25 and they were all skinny just like this picture we got to go. Now I won't go back.

Trish M.

Yelp
Great food, great service, great outdoor setting! If you love seafood, this will be your next go to place! The. Best.

Jennifer M.

Yelp
The food is always fantastic, as is the service. We eat here at least once a week in the summer. Delicious!!

Frank M.

Yelp
If you're seeking a culinary voyage that combines the essence of the sea with an inventive twist, look no further than Bob Lobster, nestled on the picturesque Plum Island in Massachusetts. This hidden gem of a restaurant offers a tantalizing menu that showcases the finest flavors of the ocean. During my visit, I had the pleasure of savoring their signature dishes: the Truffle Lobster Roll, the Wasabi Lobster Roll, and the incredible Lobster Poutine. Here's why Bob Lobster has become a must-visit destination for seafood enthusiasts. Let's start with the star of the show--the Truffle Lobster Roll. As the plate arrived, the aroma alone transported me to a world of decadence. The combination of succulent lobster meat infused with delicate truffle oil was a match made in culinary heaven. The roll itself was perfectly toasted, providing a satisfying crunch that contrasted beautifully with the buttery tenderness of the lobster. Each bite was a symphony of flavors, leaving me craving for more. Next up was the Wasabi Lobster Roll, a bold twist on a classic. Bob Lobster took the traditional roll and injected it with a burst of Asian-inspired zest. The kick of wasabi elevated the dish, adding a delightful heat that danced on the palate. The lobster meat remained the star, tender and brimming with freshness, harmonizing impeccably with the wasabi's piquancy. It was a fusion of East meets West that left me captivated. But let's not forget the Lobster Poutine--an ingenious creation that brought together the rich flavors of lobster and the indulgence of poutine. The golden fries were cooked to perfection, providing a crisp exterior that cradled the savory lobster chunks and smothered in a velvety gravy. Each bite was a delightful combination of textures, with the lobster lending its natural sweetness to the dish. It was a decadent and unforgettable experience that made me wish I could savor it again and again. Beyond the extraordinary cuisine, Bob Lobster also boasts a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring that every diner feels welcome and well-cared for. Whether you choose to dine indoors or enjoy the stunning views from their outdoor seating area, the restaurant exudes a sense of coastal charm that perfectly complements the exquisite dishes. In conclusion, Bob Lobster on Plum Island is a seafood lover's dream come true. With their Truffle Lobster Roll, Wasabi Lobster Roll, and Lobster Poutine, they have masterfully redefined classic dishes while honoring the essence of the ocean. The culinary craftsmanship, coupled with a delightful ambiance and attentive service, guarantees an unforgettable dining experience. If you find yourself on Plum Island, make sure to set sail to Bob Lobster and embark on a seafood adventure like no other.

Royal J.

Yelp
fantastic! all around! nice experience for foodies. OK be sure to enjoy. Be sure to thank me for this fabulous recommendation.

Erica D.

Yelp
Bob Lobster is my husband and I's favorite spot. We used to go more than we do now. Today we went for lunch. When I tell you it was the BEST lobster roll I've ever had!!! We got the Truffle Lobster roll. It was pricey but worth every single penny. It was SO GOOD! We won't wait as long to come back. I'll be dreaming of it!!!!

Lynda G.

Yelp
What a disappointment it was going here. Every time I would head out to Plum Island in the past, Bob Lobster was a post- beach meal worth waiting for. Not so anymore... the place was super busy as it always has been, but I noticed a few menu favorites no longer on the board. Figured it was due to new management. We ordered, 77 bucks for 2 cups of chowder, a fish sandwich, avocado Lobster roll, and a side of fries. Ok, prices have gone up. We were given a buzzer to signal when our order would be ready, and then we waited, and waited. And waited. At the 1/2 hour mark, hubby went to ask how much longer. Was told, 10 minutes, we're running behind. Ten minutes later he went up again- was told the same thing. I was just getting ready to go up and ask for a refund when our buzzer went off! Finally! But it just wasn't the same- the Lobster roll was a lot of bun with lettuce in the bottom, a moderate amount of Lobster, and two slivers of avocado on top. The onion rings were mostly a pile of the coating which had fallen off the onions. And the fish sandwich was OK, nothing special. That "oh yeah!" feeling when I got my meal in the past was not there this time. Probably will not be back, sadly.

John A.

Yelp
My son took me to Bob Lobster today and I will return. The service was amazing, fast and the food was quick and delicious. For the price, you get enough to send you home with a full belly. Parking isn't the best but the turn over is ok. You can choose to eat inside or outside. I know I will visit again.

Jude S.

Yelp
The food was fresh and the atmosphere was terrific! Prices were competitive all in all 5 stars

Kaki K.

Yelp
Best damn lobster roll I've ever had. Filled to the brim. We'll made, fresh and on perfect bread. Also had fried clams which were spectacular. By no means was this a cheap dinner but definitely earns its right to be well worth it.

Steph J.

Yelp
Meh. This came highly recommended by some folks at the beach, but I found it to be super disappointing. I recall walking away still hungry even though we ordered a good amount of food. My warning to anyone considering eating here is that it's not worth it. There seems to be hype, but I wouldn't fall for it. Just because you see a bunch of people eating there, doesn't mean it's good. The little food we did get was just ok. I recall getting a crab roll and then clam chowder. Usually rolls are accompanied by some fries or something, but you don't get that here. It's a cheap, easy filler to at least round out a small meal. Bleh. Save your dollars.

Melissa H.

Yelp
Needed a seafood fix and wasn't into the Newburyport crowd. Voila - Bob Lobster! We had delicious plates of perfectly golden seafood and such fabulous lobster chowder. Cold beer, great views, pleasant staff. Thanks Bob!

Adam B.

Yelp
Very, very close to a 3 star review but I'll go with the consensus here and say 4 stars because the food was decent. I'll break it down to the good and the bad. The bad: - Nobody wipes down the picnic tables in between customers. It's as if covid doesn't exist. Even in non-pandemic times, the table top was sloppy with the drippings of several lobster rolls and stale french fry pieces. Tables were hard to come by as it is but if I saw how dirty it was before sitting, I'd have eaten in the car. - Expensive!! This is a lobster shack ... bus your own table, etc. The prices are 'sit down restaurant' type of prices. I mean fuck ... they are actually sit down in Midtown Manhattan prices. There aren't prices on the menu, so you either ask or you don't. $25-$27 for a lobster roll ... PLUS $2 more to substitute fries or onion rings. The beer can was $9!! I mean ... come on. $9 for a can of self serve beer? - The tip screen. When paying with a credit card a tip screen comes up with 'Good' (15%), 'Better (17%), Great 20%). Given that it's bus your own table, throw away your own trash and nobody cleans the tables, a $11 (Good) tip was basically $11 to get a bag handed to you. - Parking ... the lot has only one way in, which is the same way out ... and backs up onto a busy road. We saw several arguments of people trying to come out who were met with those trying to come in. Also, someone parked their car right behind ours boxing us in. If you don't have a backup camera, you'll be a bit scared. - We try to be safe dining out and felt the protocols, distancing and sanitization here were the worst we've seen for eat-in restaurant dining, unless you were to take out or eat in your car. - Clam chowder was absolutely vile. The good: - How has nobody ever thought to add flavors to lobster rolls before? As a purist ... I'd probably stick with the plain in the future but it was interesting to try the lemon tarragon and the spicy one. It kind of lost the taste of lobster and could have been calamari or scallops for all we knew but it was tasty. - The onion rings were among the best we've ever had. A bit greasy but made with sweet onions fried crunchy and cut thin. Sadly, given the cost ... the onion rings were the best thing we ate here. - The food was fresh tasting and views out over the marsh were pretty cool. It had the vibe of an old fashioned no frills seafood shack. - The overall experience is good enough to overlook some of the bad and they've been doing this a long time, so something is going right here. The fresh tasting food and summer seafood shack experience was nice ... better than Woodman's of Essex in our opinion. Overall, we would return but might skip the lobster roll and opt for fried food ... and eat in our car to avoid the crowds and sloppiness. This is the kind of place you want to take guests from out of town to if they are looking for traditional a New England experience.

Louise D.

Yelp
We finally got here! Drive by often on the way to the beach but today was the day! Friendly counter service with good advice.... Plenty of fish and chips to share for the two of us. It was ready in no time and they delivered it to our outdoor table. Chowder was great.... We'll be back!

Rebecca L.

Yelp
Absolutely incredible seafood and great quality. Everything on the menu is amazing 10/10 lobster rolls, chowder, and more.

Jen J.

Yelp
My favorite food is steamers, yet I only get them here...and I don't even live in Massachusetts (unfortunately). I can't speak more highly of the food & service. Mikalah is just one of the friendly & knowledgeable staff members who works hard to make every "seafoodie" happy as a clam. Bad joke...I'm giddy 'cause I'm going back today after 3 years!!!!! Ambiance is great -- we sit outside and "Yum!!!" for 2 hours.

Jason F.

Yelp
The Spicy Roll is a revelation! It's the best lobster roll I've ever had and I'm from New England! I can't wait to try all of the different sexy rolls. The lobster poutine is decadently delicious and mind blowing too! Great service, and friendly! Bob Lobster is, without question, a very special place. The view is delicious as well

Grace D.

Yelp
Stopped at Bob Lobster after hiking in Sandy Point, and we will make the hour long trip again--perhaps just for the lobster corn chowder!! Shrimp were good, but the chowder stole the show. We did order a bowl, and you can see in the photo--it was more of a cup size. Total was ~50 for the two items, a beer, and tip which felt pretty standard for seafood in Mass.

Clark S.

Yelp
Bob's specializes in lobster rolls. Several different styles and flavors. Importantly, these lobster rolls contain a lot of lobster, and the consumer is not left wanting.

Mel G.

Yelp
Whole belly clams are one of my favorite things and now that spring is back in New England, it's now THE thing to do, particularly given how many activities are still limited because of the pandemic. The thing about whole clams is that there is not a lot of room to hide: the breading/frying oil/etc. all has to be pretty measured to result in that perfect clam. Unfortunately, Bob Lobster missed the mark for me. The clams were rather greasy (eh), and most of the taste were a combo of this frying oil/batter, leaving the clam more of an aftertaste, unfortunately. The staff was very nice and the location is quite lovely on the marsh, so I am tempted to come back and try one of their lobster rolls to see if I have better luck. As with most places on the weekend, it is quite crowded and seating/parking is limited. Echoing other reviewers who mentioned that eating in their car may be the best option.

Yelp
Staying in Salisbury for a week and was looking for the best lobster pound in the area. Yelp reviews said BOb's. Love this place! Ate at Bob's twice and both times, the lobster was fantastic. Cooked perfectly and so juicy. Onion rings and fries on the side were delicious, as was the Cole slaw and corn on the Cobb. The view of the water from the dining room didn't disappoint. Friendly service, clean bathrooms. And you can bring your own beer and wine - bonus! Coming back to Bob's the next chance we get!

Yelp
Food is good. But the environment is not ideal. Found flys inside and outside. Also it took a while to find a parking spot.
