Bobo

Bobo is one of those places that when you walk in you just feel warm. Each floor has its own particular vibe, and they all seem lovely. We sat in the greenhouse, and from my seat I had a view of the main dining room. The food is delicious, the cocktails are yummy. The burger is a great choice, the tuna was cooked perfectly. Next time we are in the area we will eat here again.

I went here with a large group. The happy hour specials are very good - you can’t beat the margarita and oysters. Appetizers are very nice for sharing. There were only a few vegetarian options but they were on the menu. I’d probably skip the beet chips. The Caeser salad is less traditional. The tuna salad had very high quality tuna. All the pasta dishes were very good and the staff were decently friendly about removing some items. The steak aux poivre is very well prepared and caked in pepper. The environment is very cute but can be very drafty in the winter. The desserts were very pretty, but underwhelming after such delicious shareables and entrees. I’d go back with friends or as a date night.

I tried the avocado toast, which was simple with nice flavor from the sunflower seeds and a side of greens. I’m looking forward to trying more dishes next time.

I was very surprised by how nice this place is! The interior of the restaurant is very welcoming and the outdoor patio in the back is so cool. They have some great happy hour deals as well. The food was tasty. Tuna was delicious and the salad it’s bedded on was just as good. The chicken had a very good sauce on top of it and was juicy. Drinks were priced reasonably especially for the area. Service was pretty good too. Our party had mixed reviews of the place, but I really enjoyed my experience. Recommend this place if you like French food and are in the area.

The food, service, and atmosphere were good! The server was very nice and we enjoyed the food a lot. The chicken I had was very tender and good. The shrimp risotto could be cooked a bit longer, but it was also good. I would love to try their brunch menu next time.

We booked a table at bobo west village with much excitement earlier in the day. We got texted to confirm our reservation in the afternoon, and we did. 30 minutes before our reservation time, we received a text saying they’re expecting us in 30 minutes. We arrived exactly on time and were told to stand by the bar, as our table was not ready yet. We mentioned we were going to a show next door and only had 90 minutes to enjoy dinner. It was strange because there were 3 tables open on the lower section right where we were standing. The next 3 coupes with reservations were offered seated in these seats if they didn’t want to wait…..By the time we asked they said oh yea you could have seated there if you wanted, there was a tiny spaced table in the middle of the pack, so we decided to wait for our upstairs table, as it we were told the bill was paid and they were leaving. We waited 15 minutes after our reservation time to be seated, while 3 other had been seated and served their first drinks already…once seated, we then waited another 10 minutes before our server came by. With no apology about the wait, we ordered our full meal and bottle of wine all at once. After waiting another 10 minutes my wife had to ask where the wine was, and the server rudely said, “it’s coming from the cellar so you’ll have to just wait!” This is when our experience at bobo really fell apart. Very surprised when their wine list of maybe 20 reds required a 20 minute search to retrieve it. A few minutes later our appetizer arrived and still no wine. We then asked a manager where our wine was? He said he would get it right away as our food was getting cold. We decided to just eat it anyways without our desired wine pairing. When the manager returned with the bottle, he kindly apologized and said he would be taking care of something from our bill. This was the moment I thought things would turn around on the experience. Unfortunately the bottle of Pomerol was very warm, and I had to ask for an ice chiller to get the temperature to a reasonable level to enjoy this very nice bottle of Bordeaux. By this point, our server had completely ghosted on us. When the food arrives we had basically 15 minutes to enjoy this meal, so we decide to stay longer and enjoy it while sacrificing the start of our show. At no point at all, did our server come back to see how our meal was or ask about the wine and our timing. Our final interaction with him was to ask for the bill, and have the bottle of wine packed to go, as we couldn’t finish it. Without a word he gave us our bill and brought the packed bottle of wine back. To our surprise, even though the manager said he would be taking care of something from our bill, nothing had been done. So at this point we just paid and left extremely dissatisfied and disappointed with bobo. Our awesome Saturday evening in NYC was trashed by our experience here. So Félicitations for accomplishing this feat, when it could have been completely avoided with some professional care and attention to detail. I guess you could say you’ve made a bit of a boo boo that will be remembered by us for a while. Usually we wouldn’t take the take to leave a negative review, but through all the dinners out around NYC over the past decade, this took the cake as the most disappointing. We wanted other people out there to know that they may get the same treatment we did and perhaps to consider another option. It’s not that we don’t see a possibly incredible dining experience at bobo, it’s just that ours missed the mark but a massive margin. For the amount of money we are spending this level of service is unacceptable. I know we’re not “regulars” or VIP patrons, so we have reasonable expectations, but this hit rock bottom. Félicitations

Amazing food, the crispy artichokes are a must! The interior is really nice, has a great atmosphere, although the tables are a bit too close it’s not an issue. Service was great, sympathetic and fast. Will definitely come back next time I’m in NY!

Jimmy the manager is the best! He made us feel so welcome and helped us pick the perfect wine to go with our meal--amazing selection. The vibe at Bobo is cozy and cool, and the food was seriously delicious. It's the perfect spot for a date night or a fun dinner with friends. Can't wait to come back!

really charming wv spot with low lights and drinks were pretty good. there r multiple floors but the stairs r kinda ricketing on the top. i guess it adds to the ambianc? the waiters are pretty attentive. would come back again but it didn't reeeally blow me away

Only commenting on their Happy Hour, but it's my favorite in the WV. Cute little French spot with multiple floors and a very cozy vibe. High quality oysters, $12 spicy margaritas, and perfectly done fries. Great little spot to start the night. Judging on that, I'd imagine their dinner would be similarly good.

We were too early for our reservation so we sat at the bar tables. Our server was very attentive and ensured that we had everything we needed. Inside was a bit loud but in a good way. Conversations everywhere with happy customers. I ordered the sea scallop risotto, oysters and the lemon tarte which was enjoyable. I did not see the upper part of the restaurant but I'm sure it is also warm and inviting.

Such a cute spot! If you are looking for a cute brunch spot for good food and great pictures, this is it! I went with the Boozy Brunch and it did not disappoint. My friend and I set a timer to get our 60 minutes worth haha. We ordered the crispy artichokes, avocado toast, and salmon benedict. The food was incredible and service was top notch!

Cute little spot in west village, great for a date night! Smaller menu than most french places which means everything they make they make with precision. Steak frites here are incredible and everything is reasonably priced! Hostess is always great and waiters are always around to make sure plates and drinks are full. One of my favorite French spots in the city for sure

This place just became a new favorite. I'm always wary of ordering a pasta bolognese because it always ends up being something I could have made at home. Still, I decided to go for it and it was so so worth it. Easily the best bolognese I've ever had. The pasta was cooked to perfection and the flavor was so prominent it really surprised me. I also ordered a side of frites to go with and they were so hot and crispy, you could tell they were fresh. The space itself is also super nice and didn't feel too loud or cramped. We sat outside in the upper level and it was a perfect spot. The lighting is a little dark so be prepared to squint at the menu, but the vibes are so nice. The service was quick and super friendly. We did have to ask once for our waters to be refilled but everything else was so great, I can't knock something so small. Definitely will be returning!

This multi-level restaurant is oozing with charm. The downstairs bar is comfy and has the friendliest bartenders. The upstairs dining room is lovely but it got extremely loud as the evening rolled on. We enjoyed the generous happy hour by having rose and oysters before our meal. The Branzino was good but a little small so I needed the frites to help. The flat iron steak looked good though the pomme pave wasn't cooked all the way through. They even gave us complimentary bubbles because we had made our original reservation at their sister restaurant Claudette which they could not honor because of equipment issues. Overall it was a fun and delightful evening. We will be back!

I love this place! Came on a Thursday evening for happy hour with my colleagues. We snagged some seats at the downstairs bar. This place is extremely charming I must say. Its dimly lit and overall a very cute vibe. Our bartender was attentive and I had their Prosecco which was so crisp and delicious. I only got to try their fries as I wasn't that hungry but they were good! I think it's a nice place for date night so I'd love to go back for dinner.

This place gets a 3 because Pros - Excellent service, 5 out of 5 - Ambiance is very nice. Don't be deceived by the empty floor at brunch, they have a 2nd floor and an outside area that is well air-conditioned - Decently priced bottomless though it lasts 90 minutes rather than 2 hours. It's probably designed so you can only get 1 additional drink to the equivalent pricing of getting 2 drinks without the package Cons - Food could be better for what felt like a French-American fusion restaurant. I ordered the croquettes and mushroom - Portions could be larger

RATING: 8.8/10 PRO TIP: Come here for a casual, non-fussy, well-made classic drinks to catch up in a cute, intimate space with friends/for a date. The drinks here were well made and the bartenders were so nice. Sitting at the bar is such a vibe and the service was attentive. The interior is dimly lit and intimate. My suggestion? Their espresso martini made with tequila was delicious. Such a cute place tot have a date and have a conversation with someone. Do yourself a favor and stop by when you don't feel like waiting on line for a stuffier bar! You'll find that the vibes are immaculate and the drinks are very solid. Amazing experience here with my friend on a Saturday night with a 5pm reservation. It was one of the very few reservations left and while 5pm was a bit early, we decided to go with it. No regrets whatsoever because upon arriving, immediately it has a unique exterior and European cozy vibe. Once inside, the first floor wasn't too comfortable but thankfully we were ushered upstairs for our seat. The restaurant doesn't seem to be able to accommodate those who cannot walk up the stairs - I saw an older man with a curved back struggling to get upstairs but he made it! The hostess was helping him every step of the way. If they made the trek up here then it must be really good here. I started off with a drink from their non happy hour menu and my friend got the margarita from the HH menu. It was beautifully presented to us. We then ordered a few dishes to share and entrees for ourselves. We had the Brussel sprouts, the truffle croquettes, and I ordered the lemon risotto while my friend had the pepper crusted tuna. The truffle croquettes were recommended by the server and I wasn't going to get it but my friend wanted it so we got it and it was the best decision. It was SO GOOD! I wish we had more to go around! It didn't feel too heavy, but it was packed with flavor and perfectly sized. The brussel sprouts were nicely seasoned and cooked. we are off to a great start. Then came my entree and it was also perfectly seasoned. The risotto was a bit crunchy at times, totally not used to that but it wasn't the biggest deal. The lemon wasn't overpowering and worked well with the dish. My friend also enjoyed her tuna. We then ordered the molten chocolate cake and you can't go wrong with this ever! Everything was good. Service was mostly attentive. The atmosphere was cozy, lively, and romantic. The restrooms are limited and that would be the only con for me. But overall, we sat here for around 2 hours and it was a perfect dinner. Highly recommend!

Bobo West Village is an underrated gem! I loved the intimate ambiance and cozy townhouse vibes. We were seated in the den downstairs which was a little cold, but the dim lighting and old school jazz music made it the perfect spot for a date night or a girls night! We missed happy hour since our reservation was at 7pm; their dinner menu is on the smaller side but the selection is pretty impressive. We got the spring pea salad, tagliatelle bolognese, sasso chicken, and seared tuna salad. All of our dishes were enjoyable and the portions were definitely filling. We also got a Honeybee cocktail(tasted rubbery, I'd recommend skipping out on this one) and an Aperol spritz(11/10). All in all, Bobo was a solid choice for a French dinner in the West Village and I'd highly recommend it!

Had an awesome brunch at @boborestaurant yesterday. Loved everything I got: - Truffle croquettes: these were so rich and decadent, definitely split this with people because you can't eat all of them by yourself. Incredible flavor, a must order - Croque Madam, this was a really well done croque madame. The bread was covered in delicious sauce and cheese. It was big enough that I probably could have split this with another person. A great brunch option. - Crispy Artichokes: these were recommended by the server and I'm glad we got them. Very tender and paired well with their creamy sauce The drinks took awhile to be refilled/delivered but overall really good and friendly service. My friends and I all said we should definitely go back. The interior is chic and very brunch-y. Perfect for a group. 4.5/5

Maybe it was the company, maybe it was the service, maybe it was the bottomless brunch options or maybe it was the cute, rustic homey feel of this place, but it all worked during a Sunday afternoon meal last weekend. I tried the truffle croquettes and the croque monsieur, along with multiple rounds of the bottomless mimosas during our brief stay at the space. Of course, I thought it was brief, only to look up and later realize we had been at the restaurant for like three hours! There's a nice patio out back if the weather cooperates; we ate indoors, but a visit later in springtime would be better outside. Otherwise, no complaints...looking forward to my next visit when I'm in the city.

If you like canned corn on frozen croquettes from Costco, then go ahead and eat here. I left with the worst stomach ache and my money wasted. Gross food. Restaurant immediately smelled like bleach when you walk in -- which was concerning. I imagine that most of the positive reviews are coming from tourists.

We got seated along the window in their den and we immediately loved the intimate ambiance of the place. We came here for restaurant week which was a $45 prix fix menu. I came with three other people so we got to try everything on the menu. Some standouts were the kale salad with chili and lemon breadcrumbs, the chicken with bread pudding, and the crispy artichokes! The chicken came out so moist and the savory bread pudding was a great combination! We also got a small champagne glass that came with our meal. Would love to try eating in their dining room next time!

From the same people behind Rosemary's and Claudette, I would describe this restaurant as being a bit quainter. The staff was friendly and there was a lot of people there so it took a little while but that's understandable. The menu is somewhat similar to their sister restaurants though the food here is by comparison a bit cheaper but I would say it's a bit less eclectic compared to Claudette. I went here for the RW/Summer Restaurant Week 2023 dinner which came with three courses for $30 which was a good deal. Downstairs while waiting, I had a cocktail. I'm unsure with the cocktail was but I remember it being pretty tasty though I think it had pear liqueur or brandy in it but I'm not sure. They changed their cocktail menus pretty commonly and they have a nice happy hour special as well as a late night happy hour which concentrates of all things on martinis which is a fun spin. We were sat upstairs and it feels like you are home. I started with the Watermelon Salad which had chevre and chilies. This was small but refreshing with the chilies being a nice component though I wouldn't have minded more cheese. This is not on the main menu. Another person had the Baby Gem Salad with dijon vinaigrette and toasted almonds which they liked and another person had the Tomato Gazpacho with cucumber and basil which they said was good. My main dish chosen was the Chicken Confit with a warm escarole salad which another person chose as well. They accidentally gave me the Roasted Sasso Chicken with braised mushrooms, potato fondant, madeira jus from the main menu. The waitress as as another staff member (I presume the maître d') apologized saying that something was misheard or something similar and I could have that as my main dish which was very nice of them. The chicken of course was large and tender with a pretty tasty sauce and on the main menu all the main dishes are $26 and this would have been probably worth it. The sauce was a bit light for my liking especially for a red sauce base (perhaps burgundy would work better but I might just be preferring/thinking of coq au vin.) Another person had as noted what I ordered and what they got by comparison of course was a bit more paltry as it was on that menu and I gave him a bit of mine and got a bit of his salad and a tiny bit of his confit. His chicken was also pretty light for a confit being a bit less rich and the salad went well with it. Someone else got the Shrimp A La Plancha with summer corn and cherry tomato vinaigrette which they liked and the last person completely disregarded the restaurant week menu and got the Pepper Crusted Tuna with bitter greens, avocado, candied pecans, peaches, and citrus vinaigrette which they enjoyed as well as a side dish. For dessert there was only two options which was the Molten Chocolate Cake and the Sorbet Du Jour. I had the cake which was fine though I would say more of an afterthought but for $30 I'm not exactly complaining about having dessert when most places serve two courses for that price for RW. Another person had the sorbet which they liked and I don't remember the flavor. This place is quainter by comparison to their other spot and the flavors are a bit lighter. It's not the best of the style but it got the job done and the service bumps it up a bit more. Low 4/Upper 3.

I've been wanting to try this place for a while now having gone to some of its sister restaurants like rosemary's, and finally had the chance to and it did not disappoint! The restaurant itself is in such a unique location being in a brownstone and the entry way is down stairs to get to; there's a bar area in the front (which gets pretty loud fyi) but luckily for guests who have reservations, the dining area is upstairs. My friend and I were seated in the balcony area on the second floor and it was so pretty! As for the food, it was amazing too! We visited during restaurant week and had the opportunity to try a few different things. I loved all 3 courses I got - the watermelon salad was refreshing, the shrimp was filling, and the coconut sorbet was a nice dessert to tie everything up. I'll have to stop by again soon to try some of their other dishes!!

3.5 to be exact. This place is really cute and cozy. Came for their restaurant week menu. Both salads from appetizer were refreshing that helped open up palates. The branzino entree was definitely on the small side. Chicken leg was really tender. Wish they can combine the two separate desserts into one. Service was great that our server changed our plates and silverware for every course!

What a treat! I came with my friend on a Friday night and we walked in. We waited about 15-30 minutes at the bar before getting seated. We did the restaurant week menu and it was delicious! We got the gem salad and the summer squash salad, and then the chicken confit and branzino. Everything was delicious, especially the chicken and the branzino! We also got the chocolate molten lava cake, which was perfect - not too sweet. Definitely recommend!

Do NOT eat here with an allergy. They put nuts in my salad despite me telling them I was allergic. I had to take lots of Benadryl and go home. They tried to make it up to me by giving me champagne which is beyond unsafe on Benadryl. Will never be coming back!!

Have walked by this spot countless times and finally checked it out. I thought the food was pretty good, the drinks were ok, the service was great, and the ambiance was very cool. Would love to come back sometime soon

Everything we had here was delicious! The upstairs dining area is very cute, really feels like you're dining in someone's home. The artichokes and gnocchi to start were both very flavorful and unique. I got the branzino and my boyfriend got the filet au poivre. The lentils that came with the branzino were very flavorful and my boyfriend enjoyed the sauce with his steak. For drinks we got the Bougie and Avec Du Miel cocktails. Would recommend both.

Went here for dinner. Loved the interior decor and atmosphere. Feels very rustic and homey. We ordered oysters, flat iron steak, filet au poivre, and frites. Everything was good and so were the cocktails. The service was a bit slow but overall a good experience.

Been a few years, but I returned to Bobo for dinner and had a great experience. I set a Resy alert the same day, and someone reached out by text to arrange a table. Classy! They also let me order a HH-priced margarita at the bar and transfer it to the check once we sat. Extra classy! I tried: + Epice margarita + French connection sour + Dangerous liaisons + Bougie + Beet chips + Crispy artichokes + Moules frites + Hanger steak + Lemon tarte The highlights were the artichokes and the mussels (especially the fries), though everything was solid. I also love the townhouse vibe, and don't miss the highly-decorated bathroom. 4.5 stars.

Stunning restaurant with delicious food. I always get the chicken here - big portions good for sharing! And lots of apps including the mussels, kale salad, and even do the gnocchi as an app. Everything is delicious and the ambiance is perfect for dates or group dinners.

Loved Bobo for an impromptu weekend brunch for for two - the vibe, the food, the service. Wonderful. GETTING THERE / VIBES: Bobo is a multi-floor spot in West Village, with stairs going down to a lovely, quiet bar seating area with little bistro tables lit by the sun from the windows in a very romantic way. We didn't have a reservation but were seated at a two-top near the entrance without a wait. The other floors have different looks but all share beautiful vibes (room with fireplace, patio seating area). DRINKS / FOOD: Brunch menu included an unlimited mimosas/palomas/spritz/ sparkling wine option but also interesting ciders, beers and juices. Highly recommend the Eggs Benedict (which smoked salmon option), one of the smoothest Hollandaise sauces I've ever had the pleasure to enjoy, and the eggs perfectly runny and orange-gold. The salad was sharp and fresh too! SERVICE: So friendly, welcoming, and made us felt at ease; we never felt rushed. It was a joy to dine in this beautiful space for brunch. Looking forward to when we can visit again for dinner, or snag a reservation on a different floor to experience the different sides of Bobo. Wonderful.

Overall: Decently tasting and priced food and drinks, in a cute setting. Tastiness: While all our food and cocktails were tasty, the portion were pretty small. The Basque baked eggs were not of the highest quality, with the yoke being yellow, instead of the orange hue of pasture eggs. Also, the dish was a shakshuka style, but it did not come with any toast or starch so sorta. A bit small, a bit disappointing. Service: Decently quick, but a little impersonal and harried. Ambiance: Cute, bright spot, with plenty of seating downstairs, upstairs, and on the patio. The decor is minimalistic, the tables are way too close to each other. Cleanliness: Very clean. Price: Entree items from $18-26, with most egg dishes around $18, desserts around $12, and appetizers around $14-18, with cocktails about $16.

We've tried a huge portion of their brunch menu. While I'm typically more of an eggy brunch person (and most of those have been great), both the French onion soup and the baby gem salad are by far my fave. Not only is the restaurant super cute, with very attentive wait staff, but you have the feeling that you've entered someone's home (in a good way) as soon as you step in.

Not everyone was required to participate in Restaurant Week. I got the artichokes, the Branzino, and the chocolate mousse. The artichokes were a popular appetizer; the baby gem salad that my friend got was decently dressed. I also tried the gnocchi, which wasn't as rich as I thought it would be. The Branzino had a nice lentil accompaniment and was nicely cooked. We all really liked the lemon tart. The chocolate mousse was also good and came with sea salt sprinkled on top - it's wasn't too sweet, and was light and airy. Credit cards accepted. They have happy hour during the week.

Cool space but the burger left a lot to be desired. Super messy--nearly impossible to eat properly. Really nothing to write home about due to the prices, perhaps more of a date spot.

Would give 0 if I could. Went tonight and clearly there was a hair in my food. When alerting staff they gaslit me, telling me it was "cheese." Does that look like cheese to anyone else? Extremely unkind waitstaff and management, very poor service. Absolutely disgusting.

I am truly enamored with Bobo. As soon as you walk in, you are taken into a rustic, old country French home and the vibe and ambiance is just so wonderful. This is my second time dining here. For apps we got fried artichoke and watermelon salad. Artichoke slightly salted but I love it just like that. Watermelon salad had small pieces of goat cheese along with drizzled evoo and it was the perfect bite during a hot, humid night. For drinks, 3 out of 4 of us got the "bougie". I ordered mine without alcohol and it was very refreshing and tasty For mains, this time I ordered the burger (medium) and wow -- phenomenal!! It does come with caramelized onions which are sweet and which I love and on sourdough bread so every bit was heavenly. Others got the steak (medium) and gnocchi and they really enjoyed it. Lastly for dessert, we got the lemon tart and chocolate cake and OMG. The lemon tart was perfect -- not too sweet, not too tart-y. DELICIOUS. And the cake was to die for. This is definitely a must in the west village!!! Xo

Restaurant week French style girls night. This quaint little restaurant started our journey in the basement entrance. I was worried at first thinking it would be a cramped hole in the wall since the bar area and all tables were occupied. Of course there's more to it when we saw a flight of stairs unveiled when our hostess stepped aside. Already loved the candle tea lights lined on the stairs to lead to a more spacious 2nd floor. Much roomier dining space and a cute view of the West Village. Our waiter was the best and he gave us good tips on cocktails cause he can tell what me and friend was in the mood for, something citrusy and fruity for our girls night. Now for the food. I came here during the NYC January / February restaurant week. This time we both ordered the popular crispy artichokes and this was so savory and creamy. We both licked our sauce plates with our forks down to the last drop. For entrees, we both got the Airline Chicken Breast and the Parisian Gnocchi. The gnocchi was for me because I don't shy away from freshly made pasta. My friend's chicken entree was fresh, moist and flavorful on the surface. My gnocchi was so light, airy and puffy. Like eating little clouds bite sized. The mood at this place fit well as the volume was as loud and my friend can converse well with me. This place hit our hole-in-the-wall dining expectations and it was such a cute find. French restaurants are becoming a favorite for me this year and this also made it in my book.

Been here for brunch a few times and decided to come here for dinner during RW. I expected it to be way busier but to my surprised , it's busy but not excessive. I didn't feel rushed and got to enjoy the wonderful ambiance while I ate the delicious dinner ( artichoke for apps, brazino , gnocchi and the chicken that 3 of us shared ). I normally don't order chicken at restaurants but after reading the review , gave it a try which my friends and I were glad we did . Top main dish between the 3. It was flavorful cooked to perfection with crispy skin while the meat was moist . For dessert , we had the lemon tarts and chocolate mousse . Both were good but t nothing to rave over . We availed of the happy hour at the bar . I wish I allocated more time to have oysters and drinks pre dinner. Next time

So fun. Loud and bustling, you can eat in the bar area downstairs and do some people-watching. Filled with beautiful twenty-something's, BOBO is definitely for the young. But the food is wonderful. We had the fried artichokes, the best thing I've had in ages. Then the octopus appetizer, sliced thinly and a pretty dish, but could have been a bit more tasty. The heirloom tomato salad, delicious. Gazpacho again so pretty and light. Then a burger, solid, with crisp fries. The tuna, pepper crusted on a bed of radicchio and frisée greens with peaches. Perfect and light. And the branzino. Another great dish. Pretty food, pretty drinks, pretty people. Will go back!

I like coming to Bobo for their happy hour (5-7pm) deals because they do $1.50 oysters (prices went up from $1-$1.50 from the last time I was here). Downstairs is where they have their drinks and happy hour deals, upstairs is where they serve dinner. There's not too many people at the start of happy hour, but it progressively gets a lot busier as the night goes on. We got seated at the bar around 6pm. The staff is very nice and attentive and gave us drink recommendations based on our personal preferences. The atmosphere is really cute, it's dimly lit and has a sort of farm-house theme to it. It'd definitely be a nice spot for a date night!

I celebrated my girl's birthday here and we an amazing time. Our server, Jaroslaw was so pleasant and made our experience 10/10! He gave us the chocolate lava cake + champagne for dessert. Def coming back :)

Came here the other night with 4 other friends and we all absolutely LOVED it. One of my new favorite spots for sure. The restaurant itself is l so cute--you enter through the downstairs where there's a bar and cozy tables for two. The interior is dim with lots of candlelight, and is a perfect date night spot. Our table was upstairs where they have a larger dining space with antique furniture and a gorgeous covered garden out back. For dinner, we decided to share almost all of the appetizers on the menu. The croquettes and the crispy artichokes were definitely our favorite! We also ended up ordering a second serving of the truffle gnocchi because it was so flavorful and cooked perfectly. The service was a tad slow, but it seems like they were a bit understaffed with waiters. Otherwise the experience was perfection, I can't wait to come back here and sit in the garden!

I've been to Bobo many times and it's always consistently good! Highlights include the burger, fries and the bolognese. They also do a reverse happy hour in their den from 10pm to midnight which is perfect for a date or with friends.

The ambiance was great for a Friday night, we sat in the rooftop section. Service was okay, but not awful. The two cocktails we got were great, I loved my early gray tea one it was fresh and unique. But then the food came out and everything was so salty...the best item was probably the Kale salad which is saying a lot. The chicken was overcooked and dry and also salty, almost inedible. The steak frites were cooked well but the potatoes were so salty we couldn't eat it. Same with the risotto, so salty. Not sure what happened but wouldn't come back here for food, only for drinks and the vibe.

Was in the West Village and came in for Brunch. Omelete was meh. Very cute restaurant thou. Seeing others review dinner, might swing back then.

One star for a great waiter and one star for a cute and cozy ambiance. Zero stars for value for your money and quality of the food. We also made a reservation yet had to wait awhile since our table wasn't ready. During this time, the manager or maitre'd (not sure of the title) offered us glasses of wine while we waited, insinuating they'd be on the house due to the delay - then proceeded to charge us for them. We ordered five things and left hungry because the portions are laughable, even by New York standards. The crispy artichokes were delicious, but it was four small pieces for nearly $20. The gnocchi was the only thing that was both delicious and reasonably sized. The ahi tuna was a joke - completely flavorless and expensive for five itty bitty slices of tuna. The fromage du jour was maybe a half ounce of cheese - with two, count them TWO - microscopic pieces of bread. We asked for more bread, and two more tiny pieces came out. While I was waiting for the bathroom, waiters were walking out with the same item that had non-famine portions of bread, so I'm not sure what we did to be on the bread blacklist. To finish off the teeny meal, I had the lemon tart, which was exquisite and deliciously sour and overpriced. I spent a nearly $100 for just myself, only to stop by a food truck on our way back. I recommend going in for a drink and nothing more. The portions and prices are nothing but a joke.

I wandered around the block like an idiot before realizing where the entrance to this place was (never mind that there's a giant hanging sign pointing out the door--I'm blind). Anywho, the interior is like being in your rich cousin's French country house in Provence but, like, half as pretentious. The Octopus was perfectly cooked, as were the fries, but I could've done with a tad less frying of the brussels sprouts. Drink-wise, the Gertrude and Alice comes with an explosion of bergamot petals that'll make you think of the 4th of July (and tastes pretty nice, to boot). Or if you're want wine, the Collioure is a lesser-known dry white that hit the spot. In a nabe full of cute spots that look like Norman Rockwell paintings, this one's particularly nice for a night out.
