Bob's Steak & Chop House

We were celebrating early Mother’s Day dinner. Regent was our server. Been there several times. Best steakhouse in town. Enjoyed every single bite. Service was amazing and server was funny and very helpful. We had Onion ring as an appetizer 8/10, wedges and Caesar salad 9/10, Fillet mignon steak 10/10, comes with Glazed carrot, Mashed potato, Baked Potato. Everything was delicious. Dessert we had Chocolate Cake. Highly recommend this place.

5 out of 5 stars Took a couple of employees to Bob’s for a celebration dinner and it didn’t disappoint. While they did miss the mark on my steak temperature the first time, they corrected it quickly and nailed it the second time around. Service was spot-on throughout the evening — attentive without being overbearing — and the drinks were excellent. I usually steer clear of chains, but Bob’s is a strong exception. It delivered a high-end experience and was absolutely worth the visit. Highly recommend.

Lovely ambience and great dining. The entire restaurant is designed with a wood finish giving it a prestigious look. There is a big bar plus separated seating area if you like a calmer atmosphere. You get started with a warm soft bread along with pickle and peppers. Simple but tasty. We got Ribeye and Kansas steak with mushrooms on the side. The steak was mouth watering and delicious. All steak plates come with a flavorful carrot and great potato side. I got garlic mashed potatoes. The portion was huge. The mushrooms were soft, fresh and tasty. We got a crème brûlée whole h was lovely but a tad bit sweet for my liking. The service was exceptional. The attached photos aren’t doing justice though.

This is an interesting place. Phenomenal service. The servers are kind, attentive and friendly. The Alaskan lobster soup was super so was the tuna tartar. All the side dishes were very nice. I ordered a porterhouse steak which I would say above average but not exceptional. It needed to be more smoky or at least needed more of the charcoal taste. It tasted to me like how I’d make it at home over a skillet. Given that the restaurant is a steakhouse, I can’t give them above 4 stars for the food even if everything else was exceptional. Overall good experience mainly because how friendly the servers are (Kent was serving me).

It was super delicious! Don’t judge the pictures, I wasn’t taking it for the cam. It was on Valentine’s Day night; nevertheless, the service, food, and atmosphere were amazing! I could see how busy they were, but they never forgot about us. My friend and I decided to share, so my photo of the pork chop seems small. I would love to come back again with my husband.

We went to Bob's on a Saturday night. It was busy but we arrived about 25mins early of our reservation - we were seated immediately. I cannot over emphasize how good the service is. Our waiter was great. recommendations and options were presented smoothly and with great explanations. The food was simply amazing, perfectly cooked on all counts and the the wine paired perfectly. For date or occasion I'm not sure you could find a better place for dinner if your into steak at all.

My first time at a Bob's but certainly won't be the last. First, the service was great. Our waitress kept the drinks flowing, the table clean, and gave excellent recommendations. The steak was delicious and cooked to perfection. I had the bone-in ribeye and it was one of the most flavorful steaks Ive ever eaten, not kidding. My only suggestion to Mr Bob or whoever the owner is, GET SOME BIGGER TVs! The 18in computer screens at the bar just don't cut it. I was squinting just to see the score of the games. Other than that, a great place to eat a steak go with confidence.

5 star experience all around. Dined here tonight for my birthday. Abel was a fantastic server. Great personality and great attention. Not sure who kept refilling our waters, but he also did a great job. I never went thirsty haha! As for the meal, I got the 9oz filet with a carrot and mashed potatoes. Amazing. So so good and a great portion for the money. Everyone was polite, professional, and charming. The vibe is upscale but social - not pretentious at all. It’s old school, not modern. Takes you back a little. We also appreciated the “Bob’s pour” ;) Let’s not forget the valet. They were super quick and even went the extra mile to get the heat and seat warmers on. Can’t wait to go back!!

Could I possibly love this location even MORE than the original?? Wow. Bob's you never cease to amaze me!! I made a last minute reservation for a valentines dinner (well the day after) and we luckily snagged a 5:00pm spot. The restaurant opens at 5:00 but they were so kind to seat us even though we arrived a bit early. Our server Lexi was spectacular. She could read our minds and although we were somewhat familiar with what to order for the night, Lexi's cocktail and Valentines specials recommendations make for a fun dinner. My husband opted for the 14oz bone-in ribeye, with jalapeño mashed potatoes. I indulged on my classic ribeye which I will consistently dream about. There is some kind of buttery marinade that just melts in your mouth. Their classic mashed potatoes are so good here. Bacon wrapped jalapeño shrimp is a must for an app! Sorry not sorry!! And the mac n cheese will have you smiling from ear to ear. I loved my espresso martini and we opted for the key lime pie this time instead of the classic carrot cake for dessert. (I still can't believe we make room for dessert.) Both are great but the latter is my absolute favorite. Now I'm excited to have my leftovers for dinner ... Both the Lemmon location and Plano exceed my expectations. I especially loved Plano's elevated ambiance, the open parking lot, and the vibes overall. Go Bob's! Consistently wonderful.

Bob, will you marry me? Bob's is always on point. So good. Went in craving those table top pickles, but now- only by request- be sure to ask. Also, that breads- man, that's almost the best part- but actually the best part was Demarcus, our server- he was AMAZING. So nice, professional, caring and kind. He made our birthday celebration the celebration of our dreams. lol, he even did a photo shoot for us- so sweet. Also, that dessert, come on- a complete love song. The steak, the sides, the experience- incredible. We love Bob's! Thank you! Bobs has all the good vibes, go see them!

My dearest friend lives in Keller Texas. I live in Tampa Bay, Florida. She has EVERYTHING & it's her Birthday today. She Loves Loves the famous glazed Carrot that adorns her Steak at Bobs. The only way I could get it to her was to personally deliver it, until I spoke with Marc one of the Assistant Managers. He's definitely my Hero. Did all he could to fulfill my request & even included her favorite desert. What a fabulous employee & Marc did it all with a smile & great professionalism. I don't know you, but, I LOVE YOU! Thanks!!!!

I love bobs a little toooo much. The service and quality is great. Kinda reminds me of an nyc steak joint. Ambience is pretty relaxing. The bread and butter is addicting. Sea bass muah chefs kiss. It was a birthday dinner and they had a card at the table for us which was super thoughtful. Shane was our server twice and he was just great. The whole team this is pretty great and friendly. Cannot wait Togo back!

Had a fantastic meal in their private room- party of approx 16 for a business dinner. Service was very good- appreciated that they moved things along at good pace as these dinners can often drag on for hours after a long day of meetings. The 9oz filet mignon was cooked perfectly and- yes- it could be cut with a butter knife as the server advertised it. We shared a variety of tasty pre-ordered appetizers. Definitely recommend the space for a group outing.

The people are what make it! We went for dinner last night and had a party of 9. I was skeptical bc we went to Bobs in DT FTW and were utterly disappointed. I couldn't even cut through my $67 filet. Fast forward to last night and WOW what a monumental difference. Ambiance was great, food fantastic, BUT THE SERVICE! Abel, Abel, Abel! ASK FOR HIM! Hands down the best service I have ever experienced. We will be back and we will be asking to be seated with Abel! Give this man a raise!

One of the best in Dallas for steak and seafood. Servers are always professional and inside of restaurant is memorable. Only down side of this locations its where Jerry Jones and Jimmy Johnson meet to plot against Tom Landry..they do not have a plaque but will also be a black spot on this place if you are a Cowboys fan

We love Bob's and this location is beast! I think it has a better vibe than the Grapevine Bob's which is close to our house but we make the trek here. We have nothing bad to say...we have always had top-notch service, delicious steaks, fresh seafood, fabulous wines and tasty desserts. I'm salivating as I write this review. Service is out of this world, from the moment you sit down someone is bringing you water, bread and butter. Everyone seems to hustle. Oh did I mention they have a coat check too! Extensive wine list/menu with fair pricing, they often have special wines that they're promoting which are excellent. TIP call ahead and ask for a booth, much more intimate and cozy. Valet or self park.

Came here to celebrate my birthday with my family. I really like the atmosphere of the restaurant. It's darker and has kind of like a mood setting feel. Our server was absolutely fantastic and went above and beyond for us. The calamari was out of this world. The only thing that kind of took me by surprise is that our $60 steak wasn't that great. It wasn't a buttery melt in your mouth steak like I was expecting. Had more of a bite to it. I asked for it to be cooked medium rare and, sadly, it was slightly cooked past the point of medium rare which I believe is why it was tougher than I expected. The carrot and smashed potatoes were really good. I also appreciate that they have non-alcoholic options served as mocktails. I had a whole bottle of alcohol free bubbly. Made me feel like I was partying with the rest of them.

The last time we went to Bob's was in Dallas. I would say the 2 have similar but different feels to them. Instead of ordering a steak I got their duck in a cherry sauce. I wanted to compare it to one I had in New Orleans. I'd say it was ok, but not great. It had a lot of fat on it, and the fat wasn't melt in your mouth. The carrot was good with a cinnamon sauce on it. I did love the loaded potatoe too. Service was amazing and our waitress was great. She was kind and hustling around on NYE! The ambiance is great, but it was a little weird they have TVs in the eating areas vs just the bar. I think it cheapens the restaurant.

I had reservations at Seasons 52 and boy was I glad that I cancelled those reservations. Bobs steakhouse did not disappoint. The service to the food to the atmosphere of the restaurant was nothing but spectacular. I loved the quality of the food and the bang for your buck you get. There are a lot of steakhouses you see in Dallas that don't offer a side with your entree, at Bobs you can get a full meal worth every penny. The steak entree comes with a huge caramelized carrot and your choice of one of any four potato options they have. Many steak houses have a potato and vegetable option as ala carte. I loved the food and recommend coming to this location, very clean and the service was great. I would recommend coming here the steaks are juicy cooked how you would like your steak cooked and the attention to detail is amazing. This place is a must !

Bob's Steak & Chop never disappoints. Their service is exceptional, and steaks are one of a kind. The char on the steaks is like no other place. This is our place of choice for special occasions. Staff is very attentive.

Great drinks, food and service. Filet Mignon was the best I've ever had. Would choose this place over Peter Luger's all the time and Peter is amazing!

This place was average at best, definitely nothing to write home about. Prices are super expensive and the food is mediocre at best. Service is so so. Came here for dinner one night with a group. Ordered a few appetizers to share and ordered the filet mignon for entree. The appetizers were all very mediocre and presentation was very lacking. Probably one of the worst steakhouses I have been to. The filet was over cooked and a bit burnt on the outside. The carrot was huge and very unappetizing! It just look like they throw a bunch of things together on a plate and called it a day. Super expensive and not worth it. There are better steakhouses in town.

Was not that great after being told how good their steak was. Very noisy and prices way too high for me. Service slow and not friendly unless you're a regular it seemed. Will not be back.

We had a splendid evening on Friday. Our waiter Mark was superb and did everything flawlessly. To start I am glad we did reservations. They had our table ready and on time. We had several appetizers, meals and drinks. The burrata salad was amazing and something I could eat for every meal. We also had the steak tenderloins on crunchy toast that also delivered goodness with every bite. I elected the ribeye. The ribeye was cooked perfectly for colors. The flavor was good but I would not call it GREAT. I would still give it a 7-8 out of 10 but feeling like I was expecting so much more. I have also had a lot of well cooked steaks in my life. The meal itself was good. I loved that I did not feel like I had to get a separate side. I give Bob's a 10/10 for that. I absolutely hate when a nice steakhouse nickels and dimes you for something that should be a minimum expectation. Thank you. As a party of four we had plenty to drink and eat. The bread was also superb. The service of all of the waitstaff and helpers was awesome. The GM Sylvio and other staff were active and making sure all was well. We will be back.

Came back again one year later to celebrate the same birthday as last year. Better experience in every aspect this time around. Range was our server last night and he was on point and fun to interact with. We were seated in a nice quiet side room which made our meal very pleasant. I learned from my last experience here to order my steak one temperature level higher than what I really want. I like medium rare so I ordered medium this time and it was perfectly cooked. The skillet potatoes were crispy and the lobster Mac and cheese was creamy and rich. We also ordered creme brûlée which is divine here and the cheesecake was pretty good as well. Perfect meal.

Good upscale steak restaurant! You get a good amount of food, and the bread they give you is actually really good (even though it looks mediocre it's actaully tasty). You can also for some reason request pickles for free.. and it comes on cut bell peppers.. yea. The calamari is solid, I like that it came with cocktail sauce, it cut the heaviness of the fried calamari well. I got the 9 oz filet mignon medium with the fried potatoes as my side. The mignon was well cooked and seasoned perfectly. The carrot is super sweet, definitely unique. The fried potatoes had a bit too much gravy for my taste, also unique type of side. Service was also nice and welcoming. I like that the place itself is not too loud, just a bit too dark. Overall great higher end place.

Good experience at the Plano location, very good service, drinks, food and a relaxing atmosphere. Soon we will try the new location in Mckinney too.

We went to Bob's to celebrate my husband's birthday. The restaurant was absolutely beautiful all decorated for the holidays. Great vibes. We were seated right away. The service was great. Our waitress was wonderful. Could not have been a better staff. The food was great for the most part. Steak was a little tough but everything else was perfect. My sea bass just melted in my mouth. Great eating experience. Would love to go back.

Service was amazing, NY Strip and mashed potatoes was amazing, atmosphere was amazing. Lobster bisque was above average since there was no lobster chunks, Lamb lollipops was great. Overs Definitely recommend

I cannot say enough about the wonderful experience we had last Saturday at this restaurant. Though not our first visit, the service was EXCEPTIONAL Shane was our waiter and he went WELL above and beyond for us and not in a phony way. I expressed disappointment over the fact y'all were not having the Valentine's Day drink with the floating rose this year and he went back and conferred with the bartenders and was able to produce not one, but two ! Best visit that we have and please note that you have a treasure in Shane. He is a natural salesman and he has the care for other folks necessary to succeed at any kind of sales, or service. BRAVO

Food=amazing. Service =amazing. Atmosphere =amazing. Everything was perfect. The potato with peppercorn gravy and the ribeye was out of this world. The pickles and red peppers to start were such a nice surprise. I would go back again and again!

As a person who loves steak in a sickening way this has to be one of the best steak houses I've been too. The drinks the steak and the bread and butter 10/10 the service is top tear homey and pleasant even the ambiance is amazing you can tell they have regulars and they are happy to be there.

Once upon a time... This was a great steakhouse, great bar, a fun place to go with great food. Fast forward to today's reality and it is overrated, overpriced and has rude staff with bad food. Once upon a time... They had almost no competition but times change and there are much better options in the neighborhood. If you want a bad steak, bad fish, overpriced cocktails or wine then this is still the place to go.

Bob's was always our fav for a great dinner. We went tonite for our anniversary. It was quite disappointing. They have crammed SO many tables in the dining room that the noise decibel level was so high we couldn't carry on a conversation without yelling to hear each other. The steaks were very good BUT the lobster was stringy, not at all sweet and very tough. What normally used to cost btwn $250-$300 is now over $400! I know prices have gone up but that's just too much! For a meal over $400, every item should be outstanding and I shouldn't feel like I just ate at a noisy cafeteria! Bob's is no longer on our list.

Went here with some friends for a guys steak night out. They have a valet up front but I ended up parking myself in the parking available right next to their building. The place is really elegant inside, a little noisy but it was quite busy. Their free bread is good, it is very airy but does flake the crust when ripping it apart which is a little messy but they clean it up before the main dishes. For an appetizer I got the Crabcake $23.00 which was a decent size, pretty much all crab. I did not care for the honey mustard sauce it came with as it was too sweet for me. I did get to try my friends bacon wrapped scallops and this was much better overall as the sauce was great and the scallops themselves were plump and the bacon was crisp. I got a Half Caesar Salad $9.00 before my entrée and it was good as well, nothing special though. For my entrée I got the "Cote de Doeuf" which is their 22oz Bone In Ribeye $75.00, cooked medium rare. This was good, it had a nice sear on the outside and was mostly delicious. There were a few parts that were a little tough unfortunately but still good overall. Their steaks come with their signature glazed carrot and your choice of a potato side which is a nice touch. The options for potato sides were smashed potatoes, baked potato or skillet fried potatoes. When we went they had Jalapeno smashed potatoes and I went with this option. It wasn't spicy at all but had good flavor and was very creamy. I also got a side of Mac & Cheese, which was very good. It was super cheesy and creamy. It was a littlie soupy but it was not runny, so still pretty good. I had a Maker's Mark Old Fashioned $16.00 that was pretty good. I ended with a Jameson on the rocks $12.00 and they filled it to the top which is awesome, probably the best bang for your buck in the area on that. Our server Omar killed it service wise throughout the whole meal. I would gladly go back anytime!

This restaurant was highly recommended by a friend and it met the expectation. Valet services are available which is notable as you approach the entrance. Reservations are recommended but the host will seat you uponentramce. The staff was eagar to help and wall our table though the specials. My steak was perfect and the sides well prepared. The pricing matches that ambiance which feels very high end.

I've only been to Texas three times, and every time I'm in town I come here for dinner. It's consistently delicious and I think about those potatoes at least a week before I know I'm going to be in town. Everything is seasoned extremely well. I've gotten the fillet every single time and it tastes exactly the same. It's not too heavy, but the potatoes are just incredible. The carrot has a nice sweet flavor. The staff is very helpful and friendly. One time I was there and I sat at the bar and the bartender seemed like she was happy to be there. They're all very knowledgeable and always make great recommendations. The interior of the restaurant is elegant, but yet a little casual. I like the colors and the booths are just the right size. I highly recommend making a reservation, as one time we tried to walk in without one, but we were there at just the right time and were able to get a seat. If I am ever back in town, I want to go back and try something else because all the food just looks so delicious.

Ok I've been back twice and totally changed my tune. While I still don't love the carrot (lol), everything else has been amazing especially the cote de beouf, potatoes romanoff and garlic smashed potatoes, and the cream corn. For dessert highly recommend the chocolate cake with a school of Henry's chocolate pb cup ice cream. Oh and ask for Jay, you won't be disappointed.

We were in Plano for work, and decided to treat ourselves with a nice dinner. Bob's was amazing. As appetizers we ordered calamari and some tuna tartare. As main the T bone tomahawk-absolutely delicious, with macaroni & cheese, sautéed mushrooms and creamed spinach. Everything was absolutely delicious. The staff was very kind too. * Estábamos en Plano por trabajo, y decidimos darnos un treat con una buena cena. Bob's fue increíble. Como aperitivos pedimos calamares y un poco de tartar de atún. Como plato principal el T bone tomahawk-absolutamente delicioso, con macarrones y queso, champiñones salteados y crema de espinacas. Todo estaba absolutamente delicioso. El personal fue muy amable también.

valet parking is available. and there is a bar, no cigar lounges at the plano location. mashed potatoes are awesome, so are the carrots, but this is just the best

#1 yelper in the dfw here, chiming in for my most recent experience at Bob's. TBH I don't think I have been to the Plano location, just Dallas. First of all, I will say this location is the most accommodating steakhouse in the area. Any party 6+ at some of the others require to speak to an events coordinator, exchange your social security number, blood type, and have a minimum spend of like $1500. Like relax guys, it's a slow Thursday night in the middle of April. Also, Bob's will split checks, I am sure this is a big deal for a lot of people. They even split dishes for you. Let's start off with their drinks, wife had the white sangria, I had an old fashion. I would say the ratio of liquids was on point, not overly strong, taste was great. Started with some calamari and a bowl of lobster bisque, both good. I would say their bisque doesn't have little lobster pieces like some soups may have, or at least mine didn't. For my meal, I had the prime "cote de beouf" bone-in ribeye, 22oz of goodness. Got a baked potato and carrot that comes with the meal and ordered brussel sprouts, mac and cheese, and creamed corn. All good, mostly on par with any other steak house in the area. Thanks to the waitstaff / team at Bob's.

A Chicago style steak house lives undercover in a nondescript portion of a shopping center. Food This steakhouse is a steakhouse. I'm sure someone said, "let's kick off with a bread that looks like a football and crumbles like a cracker". That bread alone is worth the trip. But of course, you have to have steak. Each steak comes in the original tradition of steak and potato. The cuts we received felt handpicked because they were plump instead of long with enough marbling to make the steak juicy instead of fatty. Service The service was hard to grade but deserving of more than 5 stars. It's hard to grade because there are so many people running over to take care of every part of the meal. Never did we need a refill, bread or cleanup. Ambiance If you're looking for a genuine steakhouse experience this is it. It's low lighting with deep cigar inspired wood and subway tile floor. The soft surfaces help keep the tight area quiet, even in the busiest meal times.

Our filet smelled and tasted terrible! It smelled like old urine and cat litter. I've eaten here dozens of times and can't believe an establishment like this would serve something so terrible. We sent it back!!! They acknowledged the steak smelled bad but had no answer and did not offer us any credits on anything but the e steak they rushed back to the kitchen. I feel bad for Bobs that this slipped by and worse that they did nothing about it.

I was invited to dinner here by a friend who is a Judge in Collin County. First time for me. Very nice service and atmosphere. Sound was good. Quiet enough for conversation at dinner. Too many places are too loud. The steak was amazing and had enough to enjoy it again later in the week. I had the Ribeye. You could also tell it was prime and not choice beef. A rare find. Also family friendly. I would give six stars if I could. I was at the Plano location. Much different than the original Dallas location. Dallas is more of a men's only kind of steak place. So give it a try and see what you think.

Jessica is a fantastic server who you absolutely should ask for. The food was even better than expected. Steaks were perfectly cooked. Mashed Potatoes were excellent. Freshly baked bread that never ends. One of the owners Silvio came by to ensure we were having a great experience. I can see why Bob's is one of the finest steakhouses in the world. My wife and I went to Bob's for date night and to celebrate the upcoming arrival of our first son. The food was amazing and the service was five stars. The waiter didn't keep asking if we needed anything and came by in a timely manner. Would highly recommend.

Bob's pricing has gotten out of control. We love their food but pricing has become a joke.

The veal chop was exceptional. The lobster mac and cheese made me pre a little. The service was as attentive as a sultry Japanese geisha. 10/10 ate so much steak and lobster and had so much sex it was like I was in a porno. Love and Merry Christmas -RWL

Bob's is my, now, birthday dinner to go location! We all went last year and again this year. Bob's is one, if not only, best steak houses in our area. The service is prompt, professional, courteous, and intuitive. The food is awesome and delicious. The portions are appropriate and generous. We sat in different locations each time and enjoyed them equally as well. I'll be back for my 71st. Thank you.

Bob's Steak House is perfectly located next to a parking garage literally like 50 feet away so don't worry about valeting your car. We walked in and the ambience was very "old school, patriotic decor" vibes; not too much not too little. Prime Filet Mignon: 5/5. I got the 9oz steak and it was the 2nd best piece of steak I have ever had (behind A5 Wagyu). Perfectly cooked medium rare and beautifully crusted, the filet mignon proves time and time again as being the #1 cut. Macaroni & Cheese: 4/5. Still better than average mac and cheese that was on the runnier side, but nothing "knock your socks". Perfect size portion for 2 to share. Overall: highly recommend to try. Range was a very nice and attentive server, constantly checking in on us. We came for a birthday dinner and Bob's even left us a happy birthday card on our table.
