Beautiful, contemporary space (nicely decorated for the holidays) Sat at the bar, where I received high level, attentive and informed service A fairly traditional menu with a French bent. Most of the dishes were well executed, with the Oysters Rockefeller and deconstructed Marscapone Cheesecake especially good. Unfortunately, the ($52) halibut was overcooked and the sauce was way too lemony - does anyone in the kitchen taste the sauce before it’s sent to the dining room?? Wasn’t up to snuff As an aside, the couple next to me was complaining (to one another) about their Truffled Hamachi which they felt was overwhelmed by the truffle vinaigrette Anyway, it’s a decent place for a special occasion or if on expense account, but don’t expect James Beard-level culinary innovation nor execution Probably overpriced for what it is

Our first experience at Boca started with drinks at the bar before a dinner reservation somewhere else. We were originally planning to eat elsewhere, but that first stop at Boca planted the seed—we knew we had to come back for dinner another night. My girlfriend ordered a dry martini with custom requests (pickled onions and olives). The bartender was happy to accommodate, and the martini was excellent. I ordered the Pistolero, a mezcal cocktail that can be hit or miss—this one absolutely delivered. Smooth, balanced, and beautifully presented with foam on top and subtle heart details. It felt like drinking a mezcal latte. The bar staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the experience memorable. A few nights later, we returned for dinner and were seated in the bar-area seating (not directly at the bar). Jake took care of us for the entire meal, and his service stood out immediately. He’s sharp, thoughtful, and incredibly informed about the menu, wine pairings, and flavor profiles. His recommendations were spot on, starting with the leeks and the beet mezzaluna—upscale comfort food that genuinely surprised us. For the second and third courses, Jake guided us to the red heritage chicken and a rich, pasta-style dish with shell noodles and a hearty beef-based gravy (I believe it was called something close to “lambuca” or “lambucha”). Whatever the name, it was deeply satisfying and beautifully executed. Jake also helped us select an excellent bottle of red wine that paired perfectly with the second and third courses and elevated the entire meal. We finished with the apple dessert—layered, precise, and impressive—paired with a dessert wine Jake recommended. Bottom line: Boca isn’t inexpensive, and the price point is higher than expected. But Jake’s service erased any concern about value. We never felt rushed, upsold, or overlooked—only genuinely taken care of. If you want to dine somewhere that makes you feel like the most important table in the restaurant, this is it. And if you can, ask for Jake.

We finally had our dinner at Boca and it was beyond anything we could have imagined. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with warmth and intention. The maître d’, Nicole, was absolutely incredible! She curated our entire experience from start to finish. She gave us the best table in the house, arranged a custom menu with out-of-this-world wine pairings, and ensured every course was flawlessly executed. Every single team member we encountered made us feel genuinely welcomed and celebrated. We were congratulated on our 25th anniversary throughout the evening, offered a behind-the-scenes tour of the kitchen, and gifted a beautifully framed and signed menu personalized just for us. Nicole and the entire Boca team turned what was already a special occasion into a memory we’ll never forget. This wasn’t just dinner... it was hospitality at its highest level. If I could give 6 stars, I would.

Cincinnati has a sneaky good food scene. Boca has to be within the top echelon. Designed as a small plate restaurant you have the opportunity to experience a wide variety of flavors. "GG" our waitress was extremely knowledgeable and delivered an exquisite experience.

This is the restaurant you can always count on to have amazing service and food. We celebrated our birthdays with friends and had a delicious dinner. The audience is beautiful and food outstanding. Make sure of course to have the Pommes soufflés, they are everything they are cracked up too. This evening we tried something new to us the romanesco, it was lightly charred with an incredible sauce and bed of grains. We also had the corn elote which is the taste of summer in a plate, then shared the beef Wellington. Topping the evening off with their not only tongue in cheek catchy names but presentations of desserts.

We were in Cincinnati for our anniversary and needed a nice place to dine. We have previously had poor luck finding a location with great food and great service. Reddit suggested Boca and we gave it a try. We were pleasantly surprised with the atmosphere, food, and service. Small plates with excellent flavor. Desert was great too. Highly recommended.

One of the best dinners I have had in a while. I've tried multiple new foods the other night, including caviar and scallops. The staff made the entire experience amazing. They explained the menu in-depth and the flavours with each dish. We ended the amazing dinner with beef Wellington and a lemon cake thing that was SUPER GOOD! The scallop and brussel sprouts are featured in the image. The ingredients were extremely fresh, and the scallop tasted like a steak.

My family had went to America for graduation ceremony and had dinner at Boca. The service was outstanding as we received such great customer service right from the moment we arrived at the restaurant. We were well received by Seth in a such gentle and warm manner, then we were well attended to and served by Clet, Reda, Lina, Cara, and Mitch - all presented with outstanding customer service, assisted us with meal selections, which were very delicious and checked upon us to ensure we were having a great time. We truly enjoyed ourselves at Boca in Cincinnat and would recommend it. Thank you

Boca, you're still great! Celebrated my birthday here last Wed, and it was as good as the last visit. The ambiance, service, and cuisine are unparalleled. We ordered the bread service which I do find unfortunate as one should not have to pay for bread at such a fine dining establishment (Daniel, Le Bernardin, Jeff Ruby, Jean-Georges etc., does not charge.) We had to have the delectable pomme frites again and my request for extra sauce was obliged. For plats, we went with the charred leeks, Raviolo San Domenico, Mafaldine con Bolognese, and Beef Wellington. The star of them all was the raviolo, and the chef should seriously consider making that a larger plat option (with multiple ravioli) as it was divine. The Beef Wellington met my expectations, but it was large and could easily feed 3 ppl. For dessert, they graciously provided me with a scoop of strawberry sorbet, which was tasty and refreshing. I additionally ordered the citron which was a nearly perfect replica of a lemon with cake, and the meringue was superb. By the end of the meal, we were both thoroughly stuffed. Be aware that if you opt for sparkling/still water, they will charge you for multiple bottles, so stick to one bottle for a table for 2. I'll be able to order the right number of plats one of these days. Thanks again, Boca!

Couldn't have asked for a better experience! Christina took great care of us and made my birthday feel so special. I was very impressed with her knowledge of the menu and information about the chef and restaurant. Enjoyed the best French 75 cocktail, French baguette from El Camino bakery with cultured butter, toasted to perfection. Also, enjoyed the pommes soufflés which I could only describe as potato clouds that are fried and served with a tangy dipping sauce (cannot remember the name.) For mid course I had the Kanpachi Crudo which was wonderfully light, the grapefruit and ponzu sauce added great flavor with a slight heat from fresh slivered shishito peppers. Also, the "Arpege" Salad, which was much larger than I expected nice and light. Shallots, radish, fresh green beans gave great crunch along with the walnut praline which was to die for! For dinner I had the Diver Scallop with Caramelized Brussels Sprouts and Brown Butter Truffle Vinaigrette. The Brussels are cooked down, low and slow and melt in your mouth. This dish comes with one scallop, but I do wish I added another to allow myself to be completely full ($17/scallop). My fiancé had the bolognese, which was rich and meaty. You do get a lot of sauce, so make sure you refill your bread (if ordered as a starter) to eat with the leftover sauce! He also ordered the Red Heritage Chicken, a single chicken breast with skin on (super crispy) and truffle risotto, which was very truffle heavy and delicious! The restaurant treated me to a scoop of fresh strawberry ice cream, with a tiny piece of cake and I ordered the Chocolate Terrine to share with my fiancé . The terrine was delicious. I could compare it to super rich fudge. Served with Sicilian Pistachio, Maldon Salt (for crunch) and Arbequina Olive Oil drizzled on top. This desert was very earthy and could make a person who does not like their desserts too sweet very happy. Overall had an incredible experience and will most definitely be back.

First time Boca goers here. Food, service, and atmosphere were a 10/10. Our waitress was very thorough and explained every aspect of the menu in detail. The stars of the show were the Pommes Soufflés and the Gnocchi con Fonduta. No words, they were that good. We were celebrating my husband's birthday and they went out of their way to make it special, we even got a scoop of delicious gingersnap ice cream. Did I mention their cocktails? They were excellent! I'm excited to go back and try the beef Wellington! My only complaint is that we left hungry. For a $200 tab, I'd expect to be full. Portions are small and they were very upfront about that, but it was a tad disappointing. Having been to Sotto and Boca for the first time in the same week, I personally prefer Sotto.

Birthday Dinner was absolutely amazing, service top tier and food beyond comprehension. The Golden crouton with Caviar was a bite I have been dreaming about since. I topped it off with a Kir Royale which was perfectly paired for my tastebuds. I would literally take a foodie flight to Cincinnati to grab another taste. Omgggggah Speechless.

If it was legal to marry a restaurant,I have found the one! Maybe they had a good night, but their food was delicious and service was executed well. The food, service, and atmosphere was phenomenal. We were ecstatic to get a reservation since it's been difficult get one for a group of 5 ( luckily if you book 3 weeks in advance it's possible). When first stepping in, the red curtains, lighting (gosh the chandelier is gorgeous) and ambience formed the perfect romantic and inviting setting. This place is the representation of class and even throughout our dining experience it still maintained this status. As for the food-- all dishes ranged from good to amazing (tears are about to fall from my face due to my tastebuds being so ecstatic). STARTERS Bread: average-- I suggest you skip it and save room for other more calorie worthy dishes. Oyster: good, but extremely breaded and topped with a lot of cheese. It was casserole-like in appearance and I wouldn't recommend this unless you like your oysters made in this manner. Pommes Soufflées: yes please and worth the $$. I loved these. They were airy, perfectly friend and complimented with a fantastic Béarnaise sauce. I had never eaten anything like these, but appreciated these puffy fresh dry wonders. SMALL PLATES Hamachi crudo--great and fresh. The quality of the fish was greet for Cincinnati. It was a well done plate, but nothing special for the amount it costs. The citrus from the grapefruit complimented the salty flavors of the dish. This served as a great palate cleanser after eating all the pommes. Scallop & Brussel Sprouts- amazing. The scallops were not seared and browned, which for some may disappointing. However, they were fully cooked and had a buttery-like juicy texture. This was the first time I had scallops cooked like this and I loved it; I felt the seared ends weren't needed. As for the Brussel sprouts, they were unique. They were cooked down to a complete black mush. Aesthetically, it wasn't the most pleasant to look at but once I got past the appearance I was impressed. Each bite was packed with so much flavor, a mixture of umami and salty seasonings. PASTA Overall I'd say this was not there strong suit. I'd recommend skipping the pasta dishes and saving your money to order another dish. Tamarin Ragu di Carne: average-- there was nothing special about this dish. It wasn't great and it wasn't bad. The pasta was well cooked, but the meat sauce was a bit bland though the meat was tender. Corn Elote: average-- I felt the dish was too sweet and there wasn't enough kick from the jalapeño. Once again the pasta was cooked well, but the flavors felt unbalanced. This was my first time trying this dish, so it may be they that this dish was cooked to perfection, but I'm not a fan of corn elote in general.. Campanile-- crab was great, flavors average. Whoever was the chef on Saturday October 21st knew how to cook their seafood. Every seafood dish was cooked to perfection. The crab was buttery, juicy and tender. However, the pasta and seasonings didn't do much for this dish. If anything it took away from the phenomenal crab experience. MAIN DISHES Verlasso Salmon-- wow . Salmon was cooked perfectly. Seared on the outside, slightly brown, with a medium rare inside. Each bite had an impact of flavor and the fish was fresh. The spinach paired well with the fish. Beef Tenderloin Boca-- wow . I ordered my tenderloin medium rare and that's what I received. Each bite was filled with a high quality, juicy beef paired along with a buttery tender chunk of crab. Yes this dish was amazing and bearnaise along with the chard only added to complexity of flavor creating a delicious unity of flavor for my tastebuds. DESSERT Maple Mascarpone Cheesecake-- great. It was light, well done and the sweetness of the maple complimented the plain cheese flavor. This dish was not unique, but served as a tasty treat to end a wonderful meal. Buckeye Candy Bar-- wow . This is a classy take a snickers bar and it was oh so delicious. It's extremely rich, but balanced and provides a perfect punch for those who have a sweet tooth. I definitely recommend ordering this if you want your dining experience to end with a bang. Note: make sure you have someone to split this dish with since a little goes a long way. Overall: . Boca, my love, I hope you and I re-unite again soon, because I don't know how long I'll be able to last without you.

We have been going to Boca for years and years and have always had a 5-star experience. However, this last dinner was somewhat disappointing because the Beef Wellington was so over-salted that we had to send it back. They did take it off our bill and our favorite server came back and said "yes, it was way too salty". For a restaurant of this caliber that has been making their signature dish of Beef Wellington for years, it should be absolutely perfect for $150. That said, the rest of our meal was lovely. The service is top-notch and the atmosphere is luxurious. The leek dish is one of the most unique and wonderful things I have ever eaten. The Hamachi was fresh and delightful, the gnocchi is creamy, and there was a generous portion of shaved truffle on top. The pasta bolognese is authentic, and every desert is fabulous. Drinks are fantastic as well. Boca is expensive for sure, but it is worth going to for the experience.

Great service, Great food, Great drinks, Great Atmosphere!!!..... no complaints here!!! The Amish chicken over the mushroom risotto is a will continue to be my favorite dish!! Kyla was an excellent host of our meal!! We will definitely be back !!

This is hands down my favorite restaurant in Cincinnati. If your trying this by yourself or with a friend you have to sit at the chefs table bar in the back of the restaurant. Every time I come I get a seat at the chefs table. You get to watch all the action as the orders are being prepared. I always start with the Pommes Soufflés "1949" they are the best version of potatoes. They are thin slices of potatoes put together and fried so they fill with air the middle and they are perfectly salty and the best way to start your taste buds off. They used to have a truffle crab salad that was really delicious but they recently took that off the menu due to it being seasonal. Some other items I recommend are Charred Leeks (don't be scared by the Anchovy), Petite Lobster Roll, Diver Scallop, Gnocchi con Fonduta, King Salmon, Colorado Lamb Double Chop, and the Beef Wellington if you sharing. I had the beef Wellington by myself and I finished it but it was almost too much. I have never tried their foie gras because I'm not a fan of the Torchon style but if I ever see it seared I will order it in a heart beat. As far as drinks go they have a nice selection of cocktails and wines I usually go for the Boca Old Fashioned 2.0 which is a little on the sweeter side but not overkilled sweet. I have also tried a Margaux Bordeaux that was very nice. Overall you can't miss this restaurant if your looking for an amazing place to dine in Cincinnati.

The question should be, "Did anything NOT go well?" Boco is seamless - perfect combination of excellent, well-schooled staff, bold but warm ambiance (the Chandelier!!!) and exceptional food. The menu is inventive and light - no grossly overloaded plates - and beautifully presented. All of the above was a perfect setting for a leisurely meal, but there was the 6:30 curtain time. ... We told them ahead of the meal, but there was no rush. Everything was on time and in enough time! We even had coffee and dessert. I'll be back!

I've heard so much about this restaurant, and was so very eager to go. I was not disappointed. From the food to service to the ambience everything was first class. Our waiter did a wonderful job of explaining each small plate. I was very impressed that he asked if we had an event to go to so he could make sure that I have food or served in time. There were four of us dining together. We shared eight plates between us. If you have a really healthy appetite, you may not be full, but the food was absolutely delicious. There was not a bad dish. My personal favorite was the brussels sprouts. They were absolutely wonderful. We did indulge in dessert. The candy bar dessert tasted just like a snickers. I would say this for a special occasion, since it is a little on the pricey side, but definitely worth it.

I came here for a coworker's birthday dinner while traveling for work, and we all agreed it's one of the best restaurants in Cincinnati! We started off with cocktails, and I highly recommend the Easy A for mezcal lovers. Of the hors d'oeuvres, the pommes soufflés are a must - they are light, airy potato puffs and a very unique and delicious version of a french fry! For dinner, we shared the gnocchi, bolognese, and lumache. All 3 were very good, although be aware that the portions are fairly small. The service throughout the night was friendly and professional, and our waiter had great recommendations. If you're in Cincinnati, give Boca a try!

One of my complete favorites for incredible dining experiences.. Uelp app is preventing me from actually seeing what I'm typing. I'll say 5 star French cuisine, 5 star staff who dote on you. The atmosphere is conducive to a romantic dinner, an intimate gathering with friends and a memorable business dinner.

This was my second time at Boca, and once again I was blown away! This time we sat at the Chef's Table, which gave us an enjoyable view inside the kitchen. The service was excellent and our waiter explained the menu thoroughly. You could tell he was very passionate about his job and had deep knowledge about the restaurant! As for the food, we ordered several dishes: bread, the pommes soufflés, oeufs mayonnaise, the arpége salad, diver scallop, and beef wellington. The bread is great and served with high quality butter, and the salad was a perfectly refreshing addition to an otherwise heavy order. The oeufs mayonnaise are not my personal favorite as I don't love the flavor of deviled eggs, but the rest of my party LOVED them and it was objectively a very well prepared dish. The only "disappointing" dish was the pommes soufflés, which were not bad by any means, but we found underwhelming although the sauce they are served with is delicious. The diver scallop is wonderful, a small portion but incredibly rich and served with the most incredible brussel sprouts that are caramelized in brown butter. Finally, the beef wellington, which I feel is a must order. It is truly one of the best things I have ever eaten and is well worth the price, especially considering you could probably feed 4 people with it in addition to a couple of small plates. The quality of this restaurant cannot be understated and I highly recommend Boca for any special occasion!

Wow. What a truly incredible dining experience. We came here for my birthday the other weekend and had an I credible experience. The food was amazing and the service was impeccable. Highlights- truly everything was amazing though- included the mushroom risotto and the elotes pasta. 10/10 recommend for any special occasion or even just a date night!

As Donna and Tom from Parks and Rec say- " Treat Yo Self!" I think they were talking about Boca because it is such an indulgent and lavish experience. Boca has very unique small plates and desserts complimented with yummy cocktails, wine, and beverages. I loved the decor, and despite dining alone on the bar, I was made to feel absolutely special, and they really took care of me. I ordered the local sourdough to kick things off. If you're having a bad day, a warm sourdough is your answer. It was complimented well with the cocktail chef kisses. For the entree, I ordered the Amosh chicken on mushroom risotto. The chicken was crispy on the outside and soft and buttery on the inside. The truffle risotto is very aromatic and fills your soul with joy. One thing you should not do is skip dessert, since their Candy No. 3 is what dreams are made of. The icecream, the nougat are so scrumptious and very smooth. 10/10 for Boca. Highly recommend.

Absolutely amazing birthday dinner. First time at boca, and I will be back. Lauren and Katie were wonderful. Management and front of house staff were on it, and worked very well together. Food was fantastic. Thank you boca!

We made 8pm Saturday reservations on Thursday and we were seated immediately with the kitchen not far from view. Service and attention was exceptional. I ordered an Old Fashioned and she ordered a glass of bubbly. Our waitress went over the favorites and we learned that they were small plates. At first I wasn't thrilled about that for the prices, but the quality of each dish I felt more than justified. *Pommes Soufflés "1949" were fun "air" French fries that I loved. The creamy dipping sauce was a bonus. *The Boca Oysters made my girl smile with each bite. That's the reaction I love to see. * The Diver Scallop was a single perfectly cooked and seasoned scallop with Caramelized Brussels Sprouts, Brown Butter Truffle, and shaved cheese. Again she just smiled and enjoyed the experience. *The Halibut with Pommes Purée, Spinach, Chantrelles and Sauce Almondine was her final plate that I tasted. Again just perfectly cooked and melted in your mouth. * I ordered the Mafaldine con Bolognese. Wavy pasta with a Dry Aged beef and parmigiano cheese red sauce. The crusty bread was perfect to soak up every bit of this one. Incredible! *I also ordered the Scottish Salmon with bits of Potato, Bacon, Fennel, Spinach in a wine sauce. I love when the fish just melts in your mouth. The portions again are smaller but we definitely felt the price ($240 with tip) was worth the experience. She commented it was the best meal she's ever had. That is really saying a lot! Looking forward to visiting again!

Wow. What an experience. Beautiful building and decor. Service was immaculate. Nothing was done on the table for more than 30 sec without someone coming to remove it. Things came out at a great cadence. They gave us a cava toast for my boyfriends bday and asked us if we had anywhere we needed to be so they could time our dinner. So perfect. The pommes soufflé were amazing and like nothing I have had before! Don't miss them! Oysters and tuna were tasty, salad was fresh, elote pasta was interesting, beef Wellington was the best one I have had. Desserts were delicious and big enough to feel like you could enjoy them but not too much and cocktails perfect. We will absolutely return any time in Cincy. Perfect for my bf's bday dinner.

By far the best restaurant in Cincinnati. Never have had a bad experience here. Amazing food, amazing drinks, AMAZING desert. Michael is the best bartender I have ever met. He is so sweet and welcoming and does an amazing job explaining all of the dishes and cocktails.

Amazing atmosphere here. The upstairs is beautiful. Food came out perfect. I recommend getting something of each part of the menu. Well worth your money.

The food and service are excellent. Seth and his team really go above and beyond to make you feel valued. We had a reservation for my sister's bday but she unfortunately got sick. Seth and his staff took care of everything and she was still able to enjoy Boca's delicious menu. We are so appreciative. Thank you!

Simply amazing. We went for the valentine's day dinner and the flavor was unreal. The Boca scallop is one of the best things I've ever eaten in my whole life. Our entrees were amazing and I got the filet and it came to me very rare when I asked for medium rare, the fix took barely 5 minutes, it came back perfect and they even comped all our drinks for the error it was so nice. Amazing experience.

I had an AMAZING time at Boca! I sat at the bar and everyone there was fabulous. Without even asking, they took their time to walk me through the menu and offer suggestions. I ended up ordering the pommes soufflés, the charred leeks, the diver scallop, and the maple mascarpone cheesecake for dessert. Everything was delicious, especially the brussel sprouts that were part of the diver scallop, and the cheesecake. The cheesecake was so delicious I think my eyes welled up a bit on the first bite. Everything was phenomenal, from the drinks to the food to the service. I can't wait to be back!

We went there for our anniversary/my birthday on last week. It was Friday night and packed and kind of noisy. Food was small portions and overpriced. I asked waiter for if they could write down on my dessert, " Happy anniversary". But she said they didn't have anything to write it on. Which was fine, until I saw someone's post on instagram who went there 4 days before us and they wrote it down their plate happy anniversary. Service was great though.

I'm my opinion, the #1 restaurant in the city. If you're looking for an upscale dining experience in Cincinnati, look no further than Boca. The food, service, and atmosphere are top tier. This space used to be home to the only 5 star restaurant in Cincinnati, the Maisonette. When Boca moved in, they kept a lot of the original history of the space while updating with elegance. I have been lucky enough to dine here for a variety of work everts and never had anything I didn't like. There's a few classics, like the beef Wellington & scallops, that never leave the menu but others will rotate seasonally. Each plate is bite sized and it is recommended to get 3-5 plates/person. Do not overlook the salads! They are amazing.

This was my first post-pandemic visit to Boca after many years, and I was happy to discover the same lovely ambiance in tact. Great service is the signpost of any excellent restaurant, and Boca has it in spades - fixing up my solo reservation with a spot at the Chef's counter, the hosts being incredibly personable upon first contact then throughout the evening, and most importantly David - he was principally responsible for taking care of me, much more like a Maître d' since he's been around forever and provides top tier service, like a Sommelier of dining. I went against some recommendations since I was craving tartare and assumed Chef David Falk must do it best. They get points for technique, with the beef, parm, and veggies expertly cubed into minuscule proportions. Although it was topped with a generous proportion of black truffle, it was aggressively lacking salt (maybe some heat or citrus, anything to showcase those savory flavors!). I was disappointed to miss out on the signature scallop after trying to make this dish work, especially knowing they have a far superior tartare at Falk's sister restaurant next door. I had the Romanesco on recommendation from a Chef, and that was an exciting rebound. Perfectly charred yet firm cauliflower surrounded by chewy sorghum (a tapioca-sized grain) topped with crunchy, citrusy pistachio... a satisfying, yet light alternative to salad. On David's recommendation I splurged a bit and had the "bougey Mac 'n cheese" (formally Coquilles L'Assiette) for my mid-course. House-made pasta with black truffles and soft cheese, accented with Parisian ham and sauce Périgourdine (aka Nirvana - reduced from butter, Madeira, and truffles). I would have stopped there if they had kept it coming. TO DIE HAPPY. HOWEVER, I had ordered the Halibut to make up for the tartare flop, so more was yet to come. I've dined in some of the finest restaurants, but this piece of fish was cooked and seasoned exquisitely. Hazelnuts and parsnips were texturally smart, but the entire flavor composition didn't wow. I still devoured the thing and forgot my first course. Wine program is really lovely - although selections by the glass are limited, they're moderately priced and very smart. One of the best Beaujolais and Bordeaux I've had by the glass recently! For dessert, I branched out a little and tried the Maple Mascarpone Cheesecake. It was a deconstructed reinterpretation, with an airy smooth disk of cheesecake. Sadly didn't get much maple or depth to the caramel in the sauce, and the streusel would have been fantastic with a more rustic texture to contrast with the mousse-like cheesecake. Flavors were balanced, aside from the too-sweet sauce. Overall, I was more impressed 6 years ago when David Falk may have had more oversight on operations, as his staff seems exceptionally talented, but the menu needs fine-tuning. Perhaps this is why restaurants in the Midwest often get overlooked for awards, because of mid-level success, but I've seen better, and I know they have the foundations here if they want to tune it up.

Updated review. We were invited back to Boca, and loved the food the second time around. We had an amazing view above their chandelier, and ended up ordering similarly to our first time around. There was amazing gnocchi, scallop and lobster bisque. However, instead of the beef Wellington we tried the prime tenderloin which was a much better choice. Boca went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our experience and it was really appreciated! To summarize my review, Boca is a place that was fine but we will make sure to tell others that we "will not be going back." This is the single most important sentence people want to hear about a restaurant. Unfortunately, we just can't say it after eating there. We arrived a few minutes early and had to stand around for 15-20 minutes. This wasn't a big deal to us, but a few groups waiting at the bar were unhappy about their 30+ minute wait. The host said multiple tables were still at their tables after three hours, which was Supposedly rare... but read on. The first three quarters of the meal went fine. We had oysters rockefeller that tasted good. Then part of our main meal was the lobster bisque, which I would recommend. Followed by the gnocchi which was also flavorful. However, this is where the night took a big turn. The restaurant GM came over, apologized for the initial wait and gave us free fluffy potato chips, er pommes soufflé, as well as more bread & butter. It was nice, but odd and a bit over the top. Then just seconds later we were informed that our $150 beef wellington would take another fifteen minutes to cook. There it is. The comp'ed food was damage control. We were quite literally being buttered up before being told we will have to continue to wait. The beef wellington finally arrived, and after the wait, it was Burnt! $150 for this dish, a very long wait, and it is served overcooked. We ordered wine to pair and nearly finished the glass by the time it arrived. Then had to muscle our way through the charred exterior. It was not enjoyable whatsoever, and my wife barely ate half. They tried to right the situation by giving us dessert. We didn't want it. However, it was a nice gesture so we ordered it with another glass of wine. The $18 by the glass pour was not a full pour as the restaurant was shutting down. A complete 180 from "sorry" to "you need to leave" since we were the last couple there when we had a 7:45 reservation (see my initial note above about rare three hour dinners). The star is for the comp'ed food. But, I'd rather have over three hours and $500 back. Boca is trying too hard with an overpriced menu that doesn't live up to the expectation. We have lived in Chicago with some of the best high end steak restaurants, and have ate at many Michelin starred restaurants in our past. You can find much better food for half the price elsewhere. The unfortunate part is this will make us second guess heading back to places from the Faulk group any time in the near future. So, again, it was fine, but we will tell everyone we know that we will not be going back.

Once again, I was very impressed with Boca. As soon as you walk in you're greeted with an open air kitchen and massive chandelier, making for a great start to the night. The service is amazing, our waiter took the time to explain everything on the menu and offer some much-appreciated recommendations. As soon as the pommes soufflés hit the table they were gone, that good. Next we got the beef tartare, which was good but not something I would personally order again. The diver scallop will forever be my favorite thing, next time I will likely get this as my entree. The spring pea cappellacci is also a must order in my opinion and something I didn't know if I was going to like but was pleasantly surprised. The red heritage chicken is good but everything else was just really good so it seemed a little lackluster in comparison, but I will say the risotto is phenomenal. To round out the night, I got the le citron dessert, and to be honest I took most of it to go because I was so full at this point. Boca is somewhere you should definitely have on your list if you haven't been.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in the United States. I don't say that lightly coming from NY and having traveled to almost all 50 states and eaten at many Michelin starred restaurants. Anytime I am in Ohio I make the trip to come here. I always sit at the bar because I like the back and forth with the bar tender and easy recommendations. The cocktails and service are outstanding. Old Fashioned was perfect and Espresso Martini for dessert rounded out a fantastic meal. Our group's meal: Lobster Brioche-8/10-very good, some people with me absolutely loved it. Pommes Soufflés-10/10- amazing texture and flavor and a the sauce is amazing. Beef Tartare-8/10-very well done, but nothing truly spectacular Diver scallop-10/10-unbelievably good. The Brussels sprouts that come with it are spectacular. Raviolo-5/10-this was the only thing I ordered that I didn't love. Very salty. Malvedene Bolognese-9/10-Excellent. Halibut-11/10-simply the best fish with the best sauce I've ever had Red Heritage Chicken-11/10-Best chicken I've ever eaten. Made me re-consider my entire relationship with Chicken Beef Wellington-9/10-Wonderfully done, no negatives, just didn't totally knock me off my feet like the halibut or chicken Mascarpone Cheesecake-8/10-very good but nothing I couldn't get in NYC. If I were to give any negative feedback, it's really not to the restaurant, just really pay attention to the small plates and pricing. This was a work dinner and we spent a small fortune. I think it was worth it but just make sure you know you'll need about 3 courses plus your appetizer to have a full experience.

I love Boca! It's so fun to see a fine dining-ish place in downtown Cincinnati. The service was amazing and the food was great. Our server went above and beyond in her service to us and made the night even better. She was kind, funny, and personable. I wish I could remember her name, but I can only remember that it started with an M (I think) and she had short brown hair. When I didn't like the original dish I ordered (elote ravioli) she asked me what dish I wanted instead without hesitation. It was very nice to see how they care about the dining experience at Boca. My only complaint was that the serving sizes are very small, even for a fine dining experience. I would definitely recommend the charred leeks, pomme souffles, and amish chicken. However, everything we had was delightful and I'd gladly eat again. The Osetra Caviar is a bit pricey but if you're a smoked salmon/caviar lover, it's definitely a must try. I would definitely return!

This is a beautiful restaurant with delicious food. We loved everything we tried! We had the Beef Wellington, pommes soufflés, raviolo San Domenico, spring pea cappallacci and the candy bar for dessert. I enjoyed everything we ordered , but I thought the pasta dishes were skimpy and would probably try something else the next time.

Boca offers a top three fine dining experience here in Cincinnati. Service and food is all top notch. Dishes are tapas style and you can expect to order two-three dishes a person on average. The larger ones such as beef Wellington will certainly be more filling. In terms of ambiance Boca is going to be a bright and louder restaurant. If you are looking for a quite secluded experience this may not be for you.

Amazing dinner. The service and atmosphere alone gets 5 stars. I love that it is high level dining but totally casual feel. The bathrooms are individual rooms, smell great and have actual hand towels, no paper towels. The food: The bread is so delicious warm and served with soft butter which I appreciate. I had one oyster and it was amazing. Why did I only order one. The Pomme Souffles has us curious, like how are they made. So light and airy. I had the Elote pasta and it was above any thing I expected. My friend (here from Portland) had the Bolognese. She asked me to taste it and the flavor was of course awesome but we both thought it was too salty. Still the entire evening was so very satisfying. Very happy to finally dine at Boca!

Upscale, elegant, and fine dining. We love Boca. Don't miss the potato puffs and the scallops. Smaller dishes meant for ordering multiples so it definitely gets pricy, but very worth it!

Service is amazing. Highly recommend ordering a bunch of appetizers rather than the main courses. You can try a ton of different things and everything is delicious.

A true 5-star experience in the heart of downtown Cincinnati. You won't be disappointed.

What a meal! We celebrated my belated birthday dinner here and it lived up to the excitement. We started off with two drinks. The autumn Anjou and the Madison. We loved these drinks! The Anjou was beautiful and refreshing. Appetizers - got the bread! Definitely wonderfully fluffy. Petit plats - my ONLY comment is that these besides the beef Wellington were indeed petit -beet mezzluna- perfectly pickled beets with goat cheese topped with a gorgeous vinaigrette -squash agnolotti - this was FALL in a plate. Even used some of our bread to finish the delicious butter sauce this pasta was in because of how delicious it was -beef Wellington. Okay this was EVERYTHING. it's four pieces, so two wellingtons essentially. Tender meat with perfectly cooked mushrooms wrapped in prosciutto with a flaky puff pastry. I would come back here just for this dish. Gordon Ramsay would be proud. Probably his only comment would be it needed to be wrapped just a bit tighter. We were so full we couldn't even do dessert. 100% would definitely and will definitely come back.

Boca is exactly what I expected. It's a very pretty restaurant in downtown Cincinnati, that is the perfect spot to "see and be seen." The elaborate check-in area at the entrance, foreshadows the experience, that is a bit lavish for my tastes. That notion continued with the 5-minute long narration of the menu by the elegant staff, where they seemed to gravitate to some of the more expensive menu offerings, a bit ostentatious from my perspective. But make no mistake, this is great food. And if you're ok with the prices, and the somewhat performative aspects of the restaurant (perhaps that's your thing), this could be a place you'd love.

Fantastic on EVERY level. The food and service are wonderful, which is great. What sets Boca apart for me is the beauty of the restaurant. We've enjoyed dinner at the bar, at downstairs tables, upstairs tables, and private rooms - and each offer their own beautiful ambiance. If you're a visual person, this is one of Cincinnati's most beautiful restaurants. Can't wait to go back! (BUT PLEASE BRING BACK THE BURGER AT THE BAR!!)

The sister to Sotto. Sotto is the moody, speakeasy vibe and Boca is the high class vibe. I would describe the atmosphere as expensive romance. The food is amazing, the experience is worth going downtown for. If you're thinking you're not going to spend some money here you're wrong, but the quality and experience are well worth the dollars.

Still dreaming of the Oysters Rockefeller I had at dinner last night! The ambiance, service, and quality of food are second to none in Cincinnati. If you're lucky enough to get Lauren as a server, listen to her recommendations! She knows what she's talking about! My wife and I went the beef Wellington route last night, it was cooked beautifully and was the perfect ending to the oysters, arpege & king crab and carrot salads. We're already planning our next visit.

My partner and I went for our anniversary and it was phenomenal!!!! The Raviolo was EXCELLENT as well as the La pomme, and the cheesecake!!! Our cocktails were delicious too! The service was excellent, especially with wine and food item knowledge and recommendations! The atmosphere was very nice as well! We will absolutely be back next time we're in town!! Thank y'all for making our anniversary so special!!! :D
