Lin-Manuel Miranda's Favorite NYC Spots, From Pizzeria to Piano Bar

"A bright, fun Inwood neighborhood spot favored for plentiful, European-style dishes with Latin American flavors; the décor is playful (notably featuring a tree indoors) and the menu — from brunch to tapas — makes it a natural choice for family reunions." - Ashley Day

The Best Restaurants In Inwood - New York - The Infatuation

"If you need a spot to host a birthday dinner for someone who loves flowers, the color pink, and Yorkshire Terriers, go to Bocaditos Bistro. This sit-down Spanish restaurant is over-the-top, and the food is better than average. Start with the patatas bravas and then move to the tenderloin beef taquitos. Come here even if you aren’t particularly excited to eat in what feels like the oversized bedroom of someone’s seven-year-old princess. Bocaditos Bistro Review - Inwood - New York - The Infatuation

"If you need a spot to host a birthday dinner for someone who loves flowers, the color pink, and Yorkshire Terriers, go to Bocaditos Bistro. This sit-down Spanish restaurant is over-the-top in a good way, and the food is better than average. Come here even if you aren’t particularly excited to eat in what feels like the oversized bedroom of someone’s seven-year-old princess. Start with the almond and cheese bites and then move to the crab cake sliders - they’re crunchy on the outside and buttery on the inside. Just note that most of the tapas range from $12-17, so things get pricey fast." - Nikko Duren

I love this place. The service was exceptional, thanks to Estefani. There was a birthday among us, so cake was brought to the table. That cake was delicious. Loved every unique detail of this place. I would come back in a heartbeat.

We celebrated our baby shower there, and from the very beginning, Susana made sure we felt welcome. She helped us with everything! The food was delicious, and our guests had a wonderful time at Bocaditos. Thank you, Susana, for your amazing attention and care, we’ll definitely keep coming back!

I went here one time for brunch & absolutely loved the service & had no complaints. Second time around, I went for lunch & was disappointed. Place had a bit of a pee smell. Bathrooms don't have napkins to dry hands with, nor are their doors secure. Had to hold on to the stall until I was done to prevent someone from coming in. Waiters were decent and professional, but took quite long to get the food. Food was mid, not well seasoned & pricy! For a restaurant that requires an 18% tip, I genuinely think that they can do better. Upon looking at other reviews, I see I'm not alone in the feeling. Pay attention to those. Not sure what happened. Please do better!

Google
Decent atmosphere, but it seems like it’s all they care about. We had to remind waiters to take our orders over 3 times, and waited 2 over hours to receive our food. Food came cold, stale and had to wait about 20 minutes for meals to come in between serving. They tried to compensate with a free pitcher of mimosas but for the price and portions, there are better places in uptown for the same price. Do not come here quality is not worth it. If I could give zero stars I would.

Google
While I've been coming to this establishment for years, it seems to have lost its touch, especially around ordering food. Food took forever to come and at that point, the drink that I ordered filled me up more which was very disappointing. After getting the bill, I had to inform my waiter not once, but 3 TIMES to take note of the mistakes on my bill. While I know it's not their fault, there needs to be a better way to run this restaurant. Prices are outrageous too for the portions they give. Used to be my go-to but from now on, it's just gonna be an anomaly on the street for me. Atmosphere is what sells this place.

Google
Amazing food paired up with amazing decor. This bustling Latin food joint located in upper Manhattan is a true gem. Plates like the delicious baby back ribs and the mouth watering lobster dish are to die for. Thank you chef for making some of the most incredibly tasteful dishes ever. Surprised that a place this good even exists near Dyckman. Not only are the plates prepared with artistry and great flavors but the atmosphere is excellent. You find yourself gazing all around at the art work on the walls of painted coffee kettles and flowers as well as the real flowery decorations on the ceilings and vases. Great scenery for photos. We came in for dinner, close to Valentine’s Day, so many red roses covered the chandelier, walls and windows. The decoration theme changes from season to season and holiday to holiday. Very impressed with everything, from the food, the drinks, the scenery, the service. Will be coming back for happy hour.

Google
I ordered the Ceasar salad with chicken and it was probably one of the best I've ever had. It was a giant plate. Place is clean. We were the only ones there since it was mid day during the week, and they only played maroon 5 the whole time lol. Which wasnt bad but it was just funny. I'd still come back for the food 😋

Google
I would avoid this place at all costs unless you have time to wait 3+ hours for food and drinks. It’s exactly what the recent reviews say. Beautiful aesthetic, great for taking pictures, but the service is extremely slow. For no reason. The owner seems more interested in fixing her flower arrangements than attending to her actual business of serving customers. No awareness, no courtesy. Just all around a bad experience. They are ill equipped to handle large parties. Also make sure you bring a fan. The air in here is stale.

Yelp
I had to wait about 15-20 minutes for a table, which was fine. However, after we were seated, it took forever for the waiter to come take our order. I'm usually patient, but it was getting out of hand. I had to follow up with the waiter just to get our appetizers, and when they arrived, the chicken lollipops were undercooked. They looked crispy on the outside, but they were still pink inside and definitely needed more cooking. After letting the waiter know about the chicken, they took it back, but when the bill came, the charge for the chicken was still there. I reminded them to remove it, and they did. Unfortunately, with all the issues we had, I won't be returning. The only thing I enjoyed was the tea.

Yelp
The food is tiny, it's in the name "itos" for little finger food. I'd say prices are too high for portions & not worth the value. Ultimately left disappointed in the service as well.

Yelp
03/23/24: Attended a brunch. Decor is cool and photo worthy for social media. Staff: server was bit standoffish. Wasn't just me many at the table felt the same. Food took for ever to arrive. It was a prefix brunch and honestly the food was just okay. I can be particular about meals however the general consensus of the party was food was bland and needed more seasoning. Saving grace was the drinks. For the mimosa thankfully besides orange juice the other option was passionfruit. I love passionfruit. I wasn't a fan of the white sangria but others were. Very cute spot as it seems a lot of celebratory events were happening. For me and my party the food was mediocre.

Yelp
Pretty much ruined my surprise baby sprinkle. The event was from 1-5pm. My guests, who arrived before 1pm since it was a surprise, were not allowed to our reserved upstairs seating until 1:30pm. By 2pm all my guests and I had already arrived. We were not offered drinks till about an hour later. It took yet another hour for us to even get a food menu. We were all famished by this point, so I went down to check up on food service right before they came up, and the server was just printing and cutting the menus for us (the event was booked at least a month prior). We finally got our appetizers at about 3:40pm. Then it took another hour for us to get our entrees. We got food at 4:40pm, and we were supposed to be done by 5pm. I understand it was a large group, which is what they told us, but this event was booked well in advance, and there were no other guests at the restaurant. They should have better prepared. When my guests asked for specific items, like a beer or a soda, they either never got it, or were given a disrespectful response by one of the two waiters provided for the 40 people event. The space upstairs was also very poorly prepared. There were cleaning supplies by the stairs we all had to use to enter the event. There were also many items stored up there that ruined the decorations for my event, and took up space, so the tables for my guests and I were tightly spaced and we didn't have enough room to comfortably accommodate ourselves. We had to angle around the mess to take decent pictures. There was also no light in half of the space. There were missing and burnt out light bulbs, so half of my guests had to sit and eat in the dark. We were offered to stay an extra hour (which we would've had to have done regardless due to the timing of their service), and another hour of drinks to make up for the service delay, but that still doesn't make up for the poor time my guests and I had. Thankfully the food was edible, so we did enjoy that. Never again will I host an event at Bicaditos, nor do I recommend anyone to do so. Very disappointed and heartbroken that their service and preparation ruined my event.

Yelp
THANK YOU BOCADITOS FOR BEING UPTOWN! If you're ever in the area please give this place a try. The space is beautiful and resembles a tea party vibe. The first time I came here there was an actual tea party happening at another table. The food was GREAT and the staff is super nice and attentive. I think it's beautiful to have a space where the food not only tastes good but everything around you feels nice. The space is clean, intentionally decorated and people are super friendly. Our waiter recommended the croquettes and we are HAPPY that we took his advice- they were DELICIOUS. We had a couple of drinks along with our food and our experience here was great! The only thing I recommend is more items on the menu, other than that.. FABULOUS.

Yelp
Amazing ambiance. Food is amazing. Service is also excellent. Thank you Susana for all your recommendations and amazing service. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
This place is so whimsical and pretty. I wish it was ran better. They don't have liquor so you have to have mimosas or sangria. The servers are hard to come by. I enjoyed my food today. I won't be going back but its worth at least a try.

Yelp
First off I love the decor of bocaditos it's very pretty and girly. I went on a Friday around 5pm. It was pretty empty which was great because I went to meet a friend to catch up and chat. The waiter was attentive. We ordered the truffle burrata empanadas to share. They were good but it did lack something. I feel like it needed to be mixed with something. They serve it with sauce on the side and that did elevate the taste. I ordered the pan seared salmon with crab fried rice. The salmon was crispy and cooked perfectly. The crab rice had a good flavor. My friends ordered the lobster carbonara and she said it tasted good. Overrall a great place to come and eat with friends.

Yelp
Service was terrible, everything is just for IG. Pricey and honestly subpar food. Go to another place for Dominican food

Yelp
My Coworker whom is a very good friend, celebrated her Bridal Shower this past weekend April 12. in the upstairs space. The restaurant is very nicely decorated. How ever the service lacked. We had one server! When we placed our orders for the appetizers. one dish ( one appetizer at a time, every 20 minutes ) was brought to our table of 6. which I thought was very strange. Each person ordered one dish each! My entree came and I tried to wait to wait for the rest of the table to receive their entree, but it took too long I was actually almost done by the time the rest came. I really hope that this was an isolated incident. How ever if you are having a party of more than 15 people they should have more than one waiter. Although the service lacked we managed to have a great time. but I wont be back

Yelp
A nice little Dominican oasis in Dyckman with an eclectic menu of bocaditos with fresh ingredients and zesty flavors. They have a nice variety of croquettes including goat cheese and almond croquettes bursting with flavor in addition to the typical jamon croquettes which are also on point. The tuna tostones and octopus ceviche were also very fresh. The truffle cheese empanadas were also tasty. The bocaditos menu has more variety than a lot of tapas places in midtown. The service on Thursday afternoon was prompt and courteous with no delay in food orders. La Fuerza cocktail was strong and fresh as was the Lychee bellini. The Rioja wine was very good with a generous pour. The ambiance was charming.

Yelp
Came in today on a holiday and to my surprise they were offering brunch. I love when restaurants in NYC Offer brunch on holidays. It just makes my day. This place is super aesthetically pleasing and the food was very delectable. I found it super cute that they offered mock-tails as an option. I had the cucumber mule mock-tail and it was very refreshing and tasty. Now on to the food, I was definitely in the mood for brunch so French toast and turkey bacon was great for me. Y best friend had the mamas breakfast and she said it was one of the best mogul she had before. The waitress offered chicken empanadas as a starter and boy was she right. Amazing food, amazing ambiance and great service. I will def be back! Lastly I checked in once I arrived and was offered 15% off my check. Thanks

Yelp
Beautiful place. Unfortunately the Steak and eggs were horrible. First bite The meat didn't taste clean, I'm scared to even ask how long it's been out. The meat was cold, there was about 8-10 people dining in which makes it even worse for my food to come out cold let alone, taste like that. I unfortunately would never come back. Food needs to always come out hot. That is not up for debate. Very disappointed. So so so disappointed. My drink was good. That's all. Honest review.

Yelp
Trying to out reserve a date with owner.. a nightmare. Eventually went elsewhere. Conversation went in circles which left more questions than answers.

Yelp
I had a private event at this location and it was truly terrible. I had booked this event about a month and a half in advance and when we got there they were just starting to cut and print the menus . The lighting was very dark aswell and they said they had more lights and they didn't so the photos and the area was very dark. the servers were also very rude and when you would ask for a drink they would roll their eyes and have an attitude. Also the food took forever to come out now this would be acceptable if the rest of the restaurant was busy but there was nobody in the main restaurant so they really had no excuse for the terrible service . The appetizers came out fairly quickly but the main plates took over an hour to come out and they didn't come out all at the same time so when people were finishing someone else would get their plate . i asked for a discount they declined and just offered us a extra hour of unlimited drinks which didint make sense because everyone was already leaving . A drink spilled and they took about 10 minutes to come up and clean it and they took another 20 minutes to just come and get the cake . Overall this place was terrible and wouldn't recommend it again !

Yelp
We walked in and the place was beautiful.. Food taste good and the presentation was Instagram worthy.. BUT THEN THE BILL CAME.. They are very over priced. Party of 3 ordered appetizers, drinks and one dessert to share.. Bill came out to $188.. They added and 18% gratuity to a 3 person bill AND $7 to pay with a credit card.. Restaurants in general have started to take advantage but this one took the cake.. NEVER AGAIN!!!

Yelp
Arranged and celebrated a Sweet 16 Brunch and the planning went smoothly. The event was beautiful but bunch can be busy and the server was stretched a bit thin which affected time and service.

Yelp
It is a large restaurant, lots of color and things "going on", imaginative and different. This is good. We arrived around 6.00pm - just one other table occupied, a couple of gents. The server sat us next to them. As we walked to our table we heard whooping and shouting and laughing from somewhere in the building. Red Flag! We ordered the Vegan Tartare and the Eggplant Croquettes, appetizers and well priced at $15 and $12. The Tartare was beets, sweet potato and avocado. It should have arrived a perfect mounded circle. I know because I make these all the time at home. With the correct tool and patience it's a stunna on a plate. Mine arrived collapsed. Me: It's collapsed Server: I know I told the kitchen not to bother doing it again as we needed to get the food out. Me: I see, and by the way what is all the screaming and shrieking. Server: It's the owners, the new chef is trying out dishes for the owners and their friends Me: I see, well its annoying. You have two couples in here and we are to be subjected to this? We cant have conversation and relax. Server: They are excited and happy Me: I see, we are paying and not happy. Please see if you can do something. Server: Walks away Us: We leave Other couple: their main dish arrived, and they are sad as they are in for the long haul . Me: Come to Galicia Tapas with us. Seriously - I hope the new chef has higher standards for his tartare and a bit more consideration and professionalism for the patrons.

Yelp
Today u went for a birthday celebration, the service for 35 was pretty good the drinks was okay now the food did not have flavor, the food as well was cold. It's a no for me and my family 10000 the food was not worth the money at all

Yelp
The inside of this restaurant is absolutely beautiful. We tried the jamón croquettes but they were just fine. The chismosa cocktail was very tasty! For the main dishes, I highly recommend the risotto and short rib dish. It was absolutely delicious and everything was perfectly seasoned. The steak and yuca fries were not the best (meat had too many tendons, it happens) but our server was absolutely sweet and understanding and offered to replace the dish. Although we declined he was able to remove the item from the bill upon payment. The coco-flan was so good!! Overall I would love to come here again for the risotto dish and the wonderful service. It's a lovey little date spot.

Yelp
Im a big fan of Bocaditos for the cute look of the inside and their BRUNCH! Their brunch is by far my all time favorite of any other restaurants in the heights. Their avocado toast, BOMB! The French Toast, BOMB! The pancakes, BOMB! Their Tres golpe, BOMB! The drinks and coffees are also pretty good! Staff is super friendly and welcoming. The past two times I've gone, I've had the same person waiting our table and she was so friendly and personable. Wait time for the food is a little on the longer side, but when you get your food, you'll be satisfied! Im not going to lie, I'm not really a fan of their other lunch/ dinner menus, but that's mostly because the options weren't appealing to me. I'm sure they'd taste great. Need a spot for brunch though?! DEFINITELY go to Bocaditos Bistro!

Yelp
The place is very beautiful , very unique. I honestly rate this place a 3.5/5. The food was great , and the server, Katherine I believe, was such a dear , attentive! But honestly we waited 20ish mins for chicken bite's appetizer, too much chicken for the very little tablespoon of guac , then we waited 40 mins for our main course. The wait was honestly too long and there was only 4 other families there so it wasn't even crazy packed. I honestly had to work for my cappuccino , I had to grade the cinnamon stick to my liking , which makes it "unique" but why couldn't I just get a regular poured container , and the sugar came in hard shaped cubes. Other than the cappuccino was pretty good.

Yelp
This place is beautiful! It's decorated with lots of flowers, artwork and what appear to be old family heirlooms. Very cute! I had their French Toast with berries and bacon which was plentiful and delicious. My friend had their salmon with vegetable rice which was also a hit! The service was excellent as the waitress was very attentive and asked us if we needed anything several times while I was there. I would definitely return!

Yelp
First timer. It's surprisingly great. No complaints what so ever. Food was great. Came in with six of us. Every meal was different and all good. Highly recommend. Appearance of restaurant is very nice and waiters were pleasant.

Yelp
Very stylish interior, the restaurant is spacious. Food is great, we ordered tuna tostones, octopus ceviche, and salmon over fried rice, they were all very good. The cocktails were just so so, needs some improvement.

Yelp
Food is pricy but what made me more disappointed was as an Afro Latina . I went to have a good experience. What I got was like a professional attitude due to the fact that my daughter being darker complexion with dreads and we basically did not give the hostess Latina vibes . So I think what the restaurant needs to do is teach the hostesses culture ethics. Remind them that the chances of a patron's being of Latino ancestry are 70% even if they look don't look like a stereotypical of a Latino.

Yelp
I was amazed by the menu and ambiance of this bistro. Cool spot to stop in and check out, dine-in, booze it up, or lounge on the couch. Their menu is unique where they have some of the most tantalizing cuisines I've seen for a bistro. I believe it's French inspired, and mixed with the local flavors to give it an out of this world great taste. Even though they do not serve hard liquor, they have some creative drink selections; very refreshing and tasty. I had a mojito that was addicting! Friendly staff, cool atmosphere, and they can accommodate large parties. Stop by for the drinks, food or chillax after a long day..you won't be disappointed. BONUS: There is a 15% off your first visit when you check-in through Yelp.

Yelp
Thank you to the team at bocadito bistro for the amazing service and my fish lettuce wraps were amazing. My daughter love the French fries and Chicken. I always feel at home when I'm there the staff always super friendly. I've been at bocaditos for all occasions and the decor and ambiance are always so delicately done. Great work to the Team !!!

Yelp
if I can do zero stars I would! my sister loves going to bocaditos and we always enjoy our time. I made reservations a few days ago for today 8/29 for my sisters birthday. reservations were for 9pm. we got to the restaurant at 8:40 and when we walked in the place was closed. the cook told us they were closed for the night but that's impossible considering I made reservations for 9pm and there was a 9:30pm reservation available as well. I'm extremely disappointed and unhappy, it's unprofessional and my sisters birthday was ruined at your expense.

Yelp
Oh. Bocaditos. The TRAUMA. I will lead by saying that this review is for an event that was planned here, not for a single meal. We reached out to Bocaditos Bistro to plan a bridal shower due to how beautiful the space is and how excited we were about the well-reviewed food. We originally contacted Susana, who gave us the information about reserving their mezzanine space, which supposedly accommodated fifty people. She informed us that we absolutely needed fifty people to book that space. As we spoke on the phone, she rushed and added details including that there would be no cake--cutting fees, the length of our bottomless package, dates for final headcount, etc. We sent a Venmo deposit. We waited weeks for a contract, only to hear from Susana that in the last weeks of 2022 she did not deal with contracts directly, that she had no email, and that a Venmo receipt would suffice to book a party. It was aggravating to have to explain that contracts were useful to have the details of a party down in writing - only for her to later say that we had to come into the restaurant to sign a contract in person, which would be drafted by a chef. Cue in Chef Alexis Pimentel. Very responsive, conversations seemed a bit more grounded, less rushed, guy seemed like he knew what he was talking about because details wouldn't change mid-conversation as they would with Susana. Mind you, pricing details, packages were COMPLETELY DIFFERENT than what the lady Susana who had taken our deposit money had told us. Chef Alexis assured us that there was no need to sign a contract in person, and that he would stipulate party details in an email and send them to me. Thanks! Three days before the event I sent the chef final headcount as we agreed. He assured me that he'd be there at our reserved mezzanine space at the start of the event to help us get started. Day of - we arrive. NOTHING IS SET UP. Waitstaff directs us to the small space that accommodates FAR FROM FIFTY PEOPLE. NO STAFF TO BE SEEN THERE THEN. WE HAD TO SET UP THE TABLES AT THIS RESTAURANT. SEATING WAS SHORT BY OVER TEN GUESTS, which were CRAMMED ON TOP OF EACH OTHER. It was a CERTIFIABLE NIGHTMARE. I called the chef for assistance and accountability, which said he was outside parking the car and would be right over. He never arrived. Hours after the party was over, he texted me saying he had been in the kitchen, and why did I leave because he had wanted to say hello. I left him on read. I want to thank the waitstaff Bory and Alexander, who despite their bosses putting them in this HORRENDOUS situation, did the best that they could. P.S. They didn't discount the $500 deposit off the check until I pointed it out, so take note. Clearly they're planning events off the tops of their heads.

Yelp
This restaurant was so instagramable and cute! The decorations are amazing and so unique! They have a couple of outdoor seating in the front of the restaurant and you can see how the front is decorated with a lot of flowers. Make sure to make a reservation and bring your covid vaccine card because they do check it at the door. Surprisingly inside it is super big and even has a second floor which when we were there they rented out for a birthday party. The servers were so nice! And they all were wearing the same shirt which made them look super nice and uniformed. The appetizers, food and drinks were all delicious. For appetizers we had the empanadas and croquettes. The perfect start to an an amazing dinner. For drinks we had the "chismosa" which had passion fruit and champagne. For my entree i opted in for the Salmon with a side of mash potatoes. Hands down one of the best salmons i ever had in a long time. I definitely enjoyed it. If you get the chance to dine here i totally recommend the salmon, you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Elegant, clean and spacious Latin-fusion tapas restaurant offering breakfast and brunch along with dinner. Lunch menu is the same as dinner. We went for lunch on a Wednesday afternoon and the place was almost empty. They also have 5-course $55 and 7-course $85 tasting menus. Yelp offers a 15% off your order on your first visit if you check in. The service is welcoming and professional, although a tad slow: it took more than 30 minutes to get the appetizers (with barely any customer). The burger came in less than 10 minutes, though. Bacon-wrapped dates (#4): very yummy. A great combo of flavors. Spanish octopus: although the octopus was a little tough and dry, it was tasty and plenty. Spicy salmon tartare: very sizable potion of fresh salmon. I was expecting it to be spicier, since it was barely noticeable. Tuna toston (#3): soooo good! All flavors perfectly complemented each other. Bistro burger (served with fries): the only disappointment of the meal. The bun was tough and old. The patty fell apart. The cheese wasn't melted. The fries were old and stuck together. Since we went on the day before their 3-year anniversary, the house offered us a decadent nutella bread pudding. It was a very generous treat. Overall, we really liked the appetizers and will definitely return to taste other entrees. Recommended.

Yelp
Thursday evening for Happy Hour summons the heed for phlegmatic. It is my quest for eternal phlegmatic without enduring more suffering, struggles, and pain. "Despues no quiero mas que paz" // "Afterwards I want only peace" -- Pedro Mir, Dominican poet This is a quaint bistro that serves Inwood and Northern Manhattan. It hones a very light colored floral arrangement in the facade and overpowering feminine appeal. How often does this business have to order flowers and remove/replace? This is a food business and it is too much flowers displayed in the facade. I like a floral arrangement like a garland but these hang vertical. It nearly covers the business signage "Bocaditos Bistro" almost hidden from public view. There are plates affixed to a column by the bar counter. The decorum contains too much bric-a-bracs covered with more flowers. I am enamored with the chandelier. My server Lyanne and attentive, professional and able as I was the sole customer in the entire establishment. I was provided cold water. The food menu for dinner did not entice me as my purpose was phlegmatic to sit and sip some wine in a indoor air conditioned environment. The food menu appears limited options for entrees or small plates. I did not have the appetite for an entree, but was not entice for a bite. Their wine menu is also limited. No, Lyanne I do not drink beer. Yelp mobile check-in offer is available. No business cards. Red Sangria with fresh strawberries and lime $6 This drink is refreshing and served cold as hoped. Total gratifying to the tee.

Yelp
Service can be a little slow but it's always friendly and personable, and food is great!

Yelp
What a beautiful gem. I almost hate to write this review because I want to keep it a secret. Delicious food in generous portions, gorgeous space and great service. It's a special place for a get together.

Yelp
I stopped into Bocaditos Bistro a few weekends ago for brunch and I couldn't recommend this little treasure more. The service was warm & hospitable, and the food, eye catching and superb. The presentation was incredibly well done and the venue was decorated so colorfully. I will definitely be back! Thanks for the wonderful experience.

Yelp
I made it for Mother's Day! Food is still very flavorful and drinks are good. There was a set menu which limit the amazing original menu they have! Ugh, I was planning on enjoying some dishes I've had before. I tried the skirt steak pasta which was really good and something new to my palate. The seafood dish was okay red sauce alone was very salty. And for the most awaited part of the night, the adorable coffee display! You get to choose your choice of coffee; espresso, cappuccino, or mocha. The display comes with your personal sugar, cinnamon sticks, nutmeg, & a tiny grater on a tray! Service was okay, the place didn't seem to be so packed on a holiday but there were delays with the food & issues with the check. Overall our waitress was very sweet & a good communicator.

Yelp
How do you have terrible service and mediocre food on Mother's day? This was the worst service we've had in years, maybe ever. We were in the restaurant for two hours before the food came and our waitress kept disappearing. Food finally arrives and it's so so, nothing great. The final straw was that they added a gratuity for three people which is wrong wrong wrong. That burns me because they know the service is terrible yet they give themselves 18 percent gratuity anyway. Adios! Never to return.

Yelp
Delicious food & drinks and good atmosphere but deducted 2 stars because both times I've gone we've ended up with the same server, and he is just terrible.

Yelp
Love love loveeee this place! Had dinner with a girlfriend of mine last weekend and I was not expecting to be as blown away as I was. Located right on the Broadway strip, bocaditos feels as warm and cozy as someone's living room. Upon arrival, I was escorted to their lounge area in the back and served a drink while I waited for my table. The decor of the place is super cute and quirky and it's everything you would want a wine bar to be. I tried the lychee sangria which was delicious but admittedly on the super sweet side, so I did end up switching to wine after a glass. Once seated, we ordered 4 dishes for us to share - mofonguitos, chicken tacos, rosemary fries and the eggplant croquetas. Everything was delicious! The chicken tacos had a super crispy shell and fresh avocado. The mofonguitos were delicious and the sauce was a great balance to the plátanos. The rosemary fries were definitely addicting af and who doesn't love a good croqueta?! We also shared the passion fruit lava cake and it was so fresh and rich. The service here is super attentive and the manager came around several times, which really made me feel like I was in one of my aunts houses haha! Will definitely be coming back here to try their brunch. What a great addition to the neighborhood, and especially one that helps keep alive the Dominican culture :).

Yelp
We tried to have a galentine but let me tell you this place is not it , unfortunately the service is unacceptable the food lacked flavor ! The service ?! What service ... the waitress came 3 time and sent other people to tend to us and one of those 3 people Came to the table while I still had my food on the table to ask me are ya done ? Do ya need anything else ? Or do I get the check ? Like how Is that even correct ? He was the same person who came out to serve the food .. when ask for dessert the gentleman clearly said oh we have 2 we have flan and coconut custard is all we have when clearly they had a whole menu but we ain't get treated like everyone else :) I have no idea why ! And while trying to take pictures (because the place is beautiful) they where all Reorganizing the place slamming and moving chairs around dusting the chairs giving no space for a picture they made it seem like My , our presence was a problem and to top it off when we paid ! And everything got approved !! They stoped us outside asking for a receipt (that was left on the table next to the pen) because they needed it made a show like we left with out paying .. it was embarrassing ! Unacceptable ! And to top is off very expensive The ( BURRATA EMPANADA) is a no ! Is seriously tasteless the sauce ? Is water with color it was a mess the only good thing was the ice coffee (and I ask for sweet and low and never received it also my friends ask for coffee and got it serve but they forgot the whole asthetic Thing that come with it lol ) our tablets where dying and needed a charge ( for the menu you get tablets ) I wouldn't go back but if you looking for a beautiful place for pictures ... this is it but other than that is a no sorry

Yelp
The food was good and the service was so cute. Not a fan of wet food so the pasión fruit tres leche was lost on me. My friends loved it.

Yelp
My family came to visit me in Inwood today and I knew dinner would be at Bocaditos because the food is creative and delicious...but also because they are very dog friendly! It's so nice to feel welcomed by the staff in such a lovely restaurant and have great meal. What more could you want?!?

Yelp
I came here for brunch, but they really didn't have brunch food menu. Maybe due to COVID, they changed it. However, the food was excellent! Sorry, my memory sucks, and I don't remember the exact names of the dishes. I had a delicious octopus appetizer. My entree was stuffed salmon with crab meat. I had the manjo & Lychee mint mojito, which was sooo good. The outdoor setup was cool, but it was very hot the day I went. I will come back again. This was my first brunch since COVID hit. It felt nice to be out.

Yelp
This place is so unassuming -- it literally looks like a hole in the wall from the street but is the most charming brunch spot in the neighborhood. They offer bottomless brunch (yasss!), unique kinds of eggs Benedict and amazing ceviche. The shrimp risotto is also tasty and not too heavy for brunch. The menu changes weekly so if you see something you like, just get it! If you're going with a group, I'd recommend getting a few things to try so you don't miss out on anything.

Yelp
I came in on a Friday after work to celebrate on of my coworker who was leaving our department. From the previous post and pictures I read on yelp I was excited to visit this place. It is a narrow restaurant with the most adorable decor. There were tea cups & pots all over the walls in the restaurant. The waitress was sweet and forthcoming with the specials and menu options. It was pretty quiet but afterwards a lot of people came in. I believe, from previous reviews, that the best time to come in is for brunch on the weekends. I had a lovely time and the food was good but I did not like my halibut. Will come back to try other menu options.

Yelp
I was automatically impressed with its European aesthetic and beautiful flower decor and friendly service. However, the mistakes done during service were painful and truly unexpected due to the high demand this place has. There was a truly amateur error on service white sangria and not rose, the wine size was truly mediocre and the mistake on a croquette that was supposed to be eggplant was atrocious. The wait time for the service was terrible. Almost 30 minutes for a sad empanada that was not fried or baked all the way. And almost 45 minutes for a main course that I could've made in my home. I typically love to give local restaurants their bragging rights but this place does not deserve to spend my money. I will not be coming back!

Yelp
We came here as a group of 13 for a farewell to a co worker. Nobody else but us were here. We ordered appetizers and they came 30 mins later. We ordered entrees at the same time and it came an hour and 15 mins later. Everybody's food was cold, no taste. The waitress never came over to us to ask if we needed drink refills or if the food was fine. Won't be coming back!
