Bocatto Eatery and Pasta

Good service and atmosphere. Food was ok. I really didn't care for the after taste on the duo meat entree, I would get both fried next time. We enjoyed our time.

Perfect for date night low lighting intimate atmosphere food was good excellent service. Absolutely recommend will return I left wanting to return to try everything on the menu 10/5 recommend for date night. Only critic halibut was over cooked wish there was more of a selection. Overall perfect evening and experience with wife on our anniversary.

Crowd was sparse when we arrived. Met at door by nice young man and our server was over promptly. Ordered shrimp trio appetizer and it was excellent. Group of four: Spaghetti and meatballs excellent with large meatballs Chipotle chicken pasta-pretty good Chicken Riesling with mashed potatoes-average Side salads- huge and very good

First time eating here the food was pretty good but kind of bland. Didn’t feel like they used many spices. For the price in was expecting more.

I got the chipotle pasta and it was decent at best. The grilled chicken tasted off but the pasta made up for it. The service was terrible though. The waitress didn’t come ask how we were at all after she delivered our food and I ended up running out of water. She finally asked it if I wanted more water when we flagged her down for the check. It wasn’t even busy inside and her and another guy were at the front talking instead of checking on their customers. Needless to say I will not be back.

Bocatto was acquired by a new owner in November of 2024. Since then the restaurant has had a drastic makeover!! We ate brunch there this past weekend and I have to tell you…..you gotta try it! Aside from some customer favorites for lunch, they offered a few breakfast dishes. Everything had good portion sizes and tasted incredible. I highly recommend the French Toast or Omelette Your Way!!!!

My husband and I came for date night and this restaurant did not disappoint! The atmosphere was clean and cozy! The staff were so kind and knowledge of the menu! We had cocktails and dinner and it was absolutely amazing! We had sangria margaritas for our cocktails and they were so good! I like my drinks to have a lot of flavor and to have the kick of alcohol but still be tasty, these hit the spot! The food is full of flavor but not so heavy as your typical Italian food can be. We ate shrimp scampi on toast, a sword fish dish, the chicken Marsala, and a chocolate cake to top it all of with! We both left with happy stomachs and we will be back again!

My sister and I absolutely loved this restaurant! The food was delicious and the service was awesome. I also love that it was such a small restaurant. 10/10 would try again.

Fantastic! I had the Lemon Chicken Picatta... so good!! The service was spot on; very friendly and attentive. I don't live in Wichita, but if I did I'd be back here very often!!

Food: 3/5 The food was good, nothing to write home about but the flavor was fine and the portions were just ok. Nothing remarkable from the tiny portioned appetizer to the under-salted food, just a disappointment. Not something I regretted eating but also not something I would seek to eat again. Service: 3/5 The service was just ok, they didn't refill water or soda promptly and trying to pay was difficult as they were busy and we felt sort of forgotten. Not the worst service, and they did get to everything eventually but not the best. Ambiance: 2/5 Overall, the ambiance is what really broke this place for me, the tables are too close together. The couple next to us was having a weird conversation and I knew because we were practically eating in their lap. The bar was also super close. I think the vibe they were going for was intimate but the space was just not laid out well. Honestly not sure how they passed a fire code inspection with the table layout and exit situation. Just a hassle all around. Probably won't be back.

This is a quaint place with a nice ambiance. Our server was very attentive and I enjoyed my wine. I had the lemon chicken piccata and it was delish. All our meals were very good. Definitely eat here.

Was meh. Definitely not one of the best spots in Wichita. Shrimp felt like they had been frozen. Pasta was mushy.

I had my birthday dinner here and it was amazing. The only thing I would skip on is the calamari because it was calamari sticks instead of rings, so it's just a preference thing. The lemon piccata was delicious and so was the chicken parm pizza. The service was great. I was pleasantly surprised and impressed by the sangria margarita! I will definitely be back- also I was given a sweet treat choice complementary for my birthday. I selected lemon blueberry mascarpone cake. It was also excellent.

Service was friendly and helpful. Food was excellent! The setting is very cozy but doesn't feel crowded.

I love Bocatto. Their chicken masala is to die for! Everyone in my party ordered something different and everyone liked what they ordered. The kid's spaghetti was a huge portion. Plus they brought it quickly due to my grandson thought he was starving. Overall it isn't a "fast food" type of place. Be ready to relax and enjoy your food, the ambience and your dining companions.

Food was absolutely delicious, I had the lemon chicken piccata and it was one of the best I've had. Salad was a tad overdressed but was quite tasty and tiramisu was quite good. Servers was very attentive and friendly - so thumbs up on service Restaurant is small but very airy, a definite winner

Great food, and even better service! A nice place for a date night and some wine & dine. Recommend getting a reservation since the place can get busy and not a lot of tables compared to other restaurants. They have a full menu with a nice selection of apps, pasta and paninis. Recommend the Calamari for starters and the Chicken a la Reisling if craving for pasta. Their Sangria is refreshing but the mascarpone was just OK.

We were looking for pasta and decided to try a place we've never been (glad we did)! I had the Alfredo with chicken and my husband had the "Chicken Parmigiana Pizza Style", both were delicious! The parmigiana was so big, there was enough for lunch the next day. Sorry, we forgot to take pictures but trust me, it looked good too!

First time here. This was an amazing experience!! We had three different meals and they were all fabulous!! Service was great, friendly and very accommodating!! Highly recommended and will be back. If you haven't tried I would add it to your list!!

Perfect Italian spot! Atmosphere was so cozy and romantic, loved the music they were playing and it was very clean inside. Loved the warm lighting as well. Food was delicious; we ordered the red sangria, chipotle chicken pasta, Alfredo chicken pasta, and tiramisu and all came out quickly. Server was very warm & friendly and checked on us often. Overall loved the experience so much! Will be back soon!

Had a most enjoyable lunch at Bocatto two days ago while visiting Wichita. Hubby and I each had a salad, but split the Tuscan Shrimp Pasta, which was made with with mushrooms, sun dried tomatoes and peas. I had a glass of Moscato wine. Everything was yummy. Perfect portion to share.

The food was awful. The mussels were old, and the fettuccine was likely out of a jar.

We visited this place for our Anniversary. It was a lot smaller than I expected, but that didn't stop both the food and the service from being great! We made a reservation and were greeted and sat at a reserved table. The waiter was the only one and was serving all the restaurant. We still had great service. The place was small, but had a nice Italian vibe. The food we had was delicious and was a big serving! The dessert was very tasty! Cute little place that is in the heart of Old Town and has some really tasty food!

Good food. Not really good service. Nice ambiance. Recommending chicken piccata = excellent Chicken Marsala = dry pasta, nothing was on the bow tie pasta, more sauce on it would be better. Lots of mushrooms on top of the chicken, more sauce on top of the mushrooms would make the chicken and mushrooms a bit more tasty. Steak = good, especially the sauce that came with the steak. It was used for dipping the chunks of steaks. If you have not tried this place , go try it. It's worth the experience.

Very good! Went there with my wife, both of us loved the food. Small but worth it, will definitely go again when we are in the area. Highly recommend

Ambience was close and personal. Bocatto had the feel of a local pasta place one would find in New York or Chicago. Service was spot on. I had the ribeye with asparagus. The steak was cooked well and the Madeira sauce was quite nice. The asparagus had some crunch, which is to be expected. Overall, worth a try!!!!

We showed up in a Saturday evening without reservations. The host seated us anyway (yay!) Service was good. I had a martini - very well made. Caesar salad was tasty! I ordered the chicken Madeira, very well flavored. My better half ordered the Alfredo with chicken. Pasta was a bit overdone but tasted good! Will definitely be back!

Ordered Chicken A La Riesling and it was very delicious. Restaurant has a very fancy yet comfy feel to it. The waitress was very polite and tells you what the specials of the day are right off the bat. The wine was so good, love how they added the fresh fruit to it. My girlfriend had the lemon chicken and she's a pasta fanatic so she approved! Def a good place to eat! Recommend

We really enjoyed our meal there. Although, a previous poster pointed out that the seating is very tight. There is no way another table will not hear your conversation. Or you will not hear theirs. The food is very good. I got mussels as an appetizer and wife got chicken dish with bowtie pasta. Only real disappointment was we had no bread. No bread to dip the mussel butter wine sauce or compliment the chicken dish to kind of clean the palate.

First time they're excellent service and food. We will definitely be back the bread was delicious -warm and fresh.

Looove! Every time we go it's delicious with nice service! We always get the Chicken Bellagio and it has become one of my favorite dishes! The dine in area is small and if someone is sat next to you it's hard to have a conversation.

This was a great find. We were hungryyyy & hopped on yelp & this place popped up. Honestly never heard of it until now. The waitress seemed to be a little busy & seemed a bit nervous but handled the packed restaurant well. Food was great. Not too heavy, packed full of flavor & makes you want to come back for more. ONLY "complaint" is that it seems like the kind of place that would serve bread or something like that before the meal. Then again, maybe I was just hungry

Lunch here on a Monday with my sister. We stayed and chatted for a few hours and only two other guests came during that time, which is surprising due to its downtown location. We noticed google had them listed as closed, but we had a reservation and the restaurant was staffed, so all was well. Our server was very kind and attentive. We had the avocado toast for appetizer and it was absolutely wonderful and topped with balsamic glaze. I had the strip steak and my sister had the chicken Parmesan pizza which was the stand out. A chicken cutlet the size of a plate was breaded and friend to perfection, topped with a sweet marinara that was [chef's kiss] and a beautiful roll of pasta. It's a small little restaurant with amazing food! There was violin music playing and a very quiet atmosphere. Highly recommend!

I travel on business 40 weeks this is at the top for authentic Italian! Pasta made in house! The Lemon Picatta was unreal! Juliana and Diana made it even more special. Juliana is evil, talked me into Lemon Cheesecake!!!!

Fantastic food and service. It was clean and had light music in the background so you could hear each other speak at the table. The sauce on the steak is amazing! Need to go if you haven't. I know we will be going back soon.

Everything here was fantastic! Food, drinks, service, ambiance . . . a must try! The Avocado Toast Bruschetta was my favorite.

Great food and friendly service. It is small so be sure to make a reservation. They have a lot of great chicken dishes but not too many beef dishes. My husband doesn't care for chicken so he got a filet and said it was very good. The prices are higher than we spend but totally worth it.

The service was absolutely horrible. One guy brought us water(G1). Another guy(G2) asked if we wanted anything to drink my boyfriend ordered coke. G1 comes back and takes our order. G2 grabs our menus. We waiting 30 minutes for food. During that time, no coke. Both G1 and G2 were behind the bar drinking. There was one other table in the restaurant. My boyfriend didn't get his coke until I asked for it a second time after our food was brought out. The food was just ok. Not worth a 30 minute wait. I had chicken Marsala; it had a weird sweet taste like teriyaki to the sauce. I will say, whatever my boyfriend got was much better than this. When we asked for the check, we waited another 10 minutes for change because another guy had to come out from the kitchen to unlock the register. I was not impressed and I do not recommend going. I wish we had just gone to Olive Garden.

Food is good. Chicken is really well done and it's tasty. Nice ambience. Not sure if the price was worth it though. Maybe it would've been if there was free bread. I agree with the other reviewer, it's pricey for what you get. I was disappointed in how few selections of red pasta there were. I prefer red sauce over cream sauce, so if you're looking for that, you might find more selections elsewhere.

Very cozy restaurant with unbelievable ambiance. Service was great, background music was relaxing, prices were great but food needs some improvement. No bread options which is a must with Italian food, let alone pasta other than bruschetta as appetizer choice. Chicken was a little bit chewy and they didn't use fresh mushrooms which was very disappointing because this place appeared to have an authentic vibe as soon as you walked in. Overall, this place has only been open 3 months but has huge potential in the future. I wish them the best of luck!

In the Wichita area for work, found Bocatto on Yelp and I'm so glad I decided to try it for dinner. It was a Friday night, the only seats available were at the bar, which wasn't an issue as I was by myself. I ordered the white sangria to start, fried calamari for an appetizer, and the chicken Alfredo pesto, which I substituted shrimp instead of chicken, everything was absolutely delicious. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Can't wait to visit again

Ordered the rigatoni vodka. Maybe since I'm from NJ I found this a disappointing dish. Vodka sauce tasted like it was out of a jar and pasta was not Al Dente the way us Italians like it. On the flip side there was plenty of shrimp. Was drawn to this place through the good reviews.

Great dinner place, love that theft are open later so you can catch a movie and still have a nice dinner and drink. Great cocktails, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Must tried: chicken Parmesan pizza style and swordfish.

Just opened two weeks ago but the service at lunch was fantastic even with only one server. We had the shrimp appetizer which was delicious! For lunch we had chicken piccada and chipotle chicken with shrimp instead of chicken. It was my birthday so they gave us a free cheesecake which was amazing. We were in and out in less than an hour.

We've been here a couple of times and we absolutely love it. The food is amazing and the staff is great. We had the pleasure of being helped by Jessica. I would definitely recommend this place for an anniversary, special occasion or if you are just in the mood for great food.

We had an appetizer, calamari it was $15. Rubbery and greasy. Which had pasta dishes that were superb. I just think the price is not worth it. With tip +2 sodas was over $80.
