Where To Eat In Shepherd’s Bush

"It’s not easy to find a little candlelit spot in Shepherd’s Bush, but if that’s what you’re searching for, Bocconi’s will fit the bill. This is a proper little Italian joint with herbs hanging from the window, entirely dodgy upholstery, and some secretly excellent food. Is the music and some of the decor slightly questionable? Yes. It absolutely is. But that’s a price worth paying for this breed of homemade cooking. The menu changes regularly depending on what’s in season and focuses mostly on fresh fish and meat, but if you’re feeling indecisive, you can’t go wrong with their mushroom risotto." - heidi lauth beasley, david paw, rianne shlebak

‏We randomly stopped by this cozy little restaurant after dinner we were full but couldn’t resist the warm vibes inside. The staff were super sweet and welcoming! We asked about the tiramisu (it had rum, so we skipped it) and went for the cheesecake instead… and honestly, it was such a great choice! Paired with their delicious sorbet, it turned out to be the perfect little treat to end the night. Such a cute spot worth visiting even just for dessert and coffee!

Google
authentic Italian food with affordable pricing in west London. Exceptional service from the staff. very friendly. definitely will visit again.

Wonderfully intimate and cosy Italian place, warm diffuse lighting, rustic furnishing, wainscotted ceiling. It was a lovely place to dine and catch up with a friend in. The wait-staff were nice and pleasant but also slightly robotic (e.g. asking how my food was as I was just cutting it up). The food was decent by my layperson, non-Italian standards. We shared the arancini for starters and I had the burrata pizza with ham. I wouldn't necessarily dash back but it's a nice option to have in the area, if just for its lovely atmosphere.

Google
The food did not disappoint, they offer gluten free pasta options which is amazing to not feel bloated! 🤟❤️ Staff are super lovely, place is cosy (although chairs could be more comfier), but the pasta and risotto did not disappoint each time (been 3 times)!

Google
The taste was average and the seafood pasta had sand in it. The staff were nice, but not really helpful. The price is too high considering the quality and not worth it. There are countless better Italian restaurants in London for the same price. All in all, I personally don't recommend trying it.

It wasn't to busy but still a bit of waiting. The waiting on staff were very pleasant and helpful. Not really much atmosphere to talk of. The food was nice, but being honest I expected more, with such a small menu I would have expected the food to be better.

We had a bit of a slow start with nobody coming to ask if we wanted any drinks or to take our order for about 10 minutes. However when the waiter did attend to us he apologised for the wait, and the service was attentive from then on. The food was absolutely delicious, really fresh and good quality. We enjoyed every dish that we ordered. We would definitely come again if we were in the area.

Yelp
I thought the restaurant was decent. I had high expectations given the 5 star reviews on Yelp. Here are my thoughts. Tomato and Mozzarella salad - needed salt but good Bolognese - good Gnocchi with mushroom and truffle - definitely really creamy and rich. Too creamy/rich for me. Sea bass - good Pappardelle ragu - just ok Fat chips - needed salt (they forgot about the fries until we asked again) Chocolate ice cream - good Raspberry sorbet - not that great Overall, it was a decent restaurant. The people next to us had chicken (and said it was too dry). Service was ok. There were a few misses but there was only one person waiting on all the tables so everyone should be patient. She was really nice though.

Yelp
This is a cosy and intimate gam tucked at a busy intersection near Shepherds Bush Garden. We walked in jet lagged at 9:30PN. The menu was attractive to us: not too heavy but appealingly filling. We had the Parpadella Beef Ragout and the Caesar salad with Prawns with a glass of the Syrah, Barone Montalo. Proportioned ideally, the parpadelle arrived promptly prepared to perfection: al dente noodles with the ragout tender and the tomato-base sauce deliciously balanced. The prawns were tender and delicately herbed. We found the prices very reasonable and went for the dessert. Vanilla Pana cotta, Mixed Berry Compote was vegan and gluten-free. The service was attentive and excellent. We'll return.

Yelp
I arrived right at 10 o'clock for an 11 o'clock closing and was promptly seated. The ladies were very pleasant and attentive. I had the chicken saltimbocca and olive plate as an appetizer. With sparkling water to drink so I cannot speak to their cocktail quality. But I will say that everything tasted delicious and I felt that the tiramisu was one of the most authentic I've had. I definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting London and desiring Italian food.

Yelp
This restaurant was definitely a treat at the end of a long day of touring. It was nice and quaint, personal service, with sophisticated yet very relaxed atmosphere. The bruschetta was excellent, my daughter had the spaghetti with pesto and it was an amazing flavor. I had the chicken Milanese which I shared some with my daughter as she normally doesn't eat chicken as she is generally vegetarian, but she really liked this dish. The brownie and ice cream dessert was delicious and the cappuccino to finish it up was nicely done. Highly recommend. You won't be disappointed. Just a sidenote, make sure you check the address as my phone originally took us to a different location and we had to backtrack, so GPS guidance was a bit off.

Yelp
familia! true regional cuisine, conveniently located on the park at Shepherds Bush Green, we welcomed, seated treated graciously and fed like princes! grime salad, homemade bread, to a fine selection of wines i was charmed by this family restaurant from the first moment! my friend had the sea bass which looked light and delicious, i had the Beef Ragu that was rich and exploding with flavor. one of the best base sauces i've had at an Italian restaurant outside of Tuscany! the desserts are light and refreshing, reminding me of locally drained ricotta in the hills outside of Sienna! Superb! go, relax and buon appetito!

Yelp
I had the melon and ham salad, the lamb with sweet potato and spinach, and a glass of red wine. Very good.

Yelp
A charming little Italian cafe. We enjoyed the walkability from our hotel to this cafe. We ordered small bites of several dishes. The risotto was delicious, along w the arrabiata, the pappardelle ragout and the bruschetta was amazing! We would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
Food was awesome . Reasonable prices and service was superb. Had the lamb with spinach was very tasty and tender. The tiramisu was great!!!

Yelp
After a long day of wet cold and tourist fails, this was our bastion of hope and coziness. The food is absolutely delicious. And this is coming from a family who never eats Italian food "out" because we're great cooks ourselves. Our servers were incredibly warm, intuitive, and took such loving care of our toddler. Ingredients were of great quality, and all was spiced/herbed deliciously. We ate more than we thought possible, including a tiramisu and then limoncello on the house. Grazie for such a lovely evening!

Yelp
We enjoyed a lovely dinner of Porcini mushroom risotto & chicken saltimbocca. The ambience, service, and food were outstanding. Wish we had time to visit again on this trip. We'll certainly be back.
