The 9 Best Restaurants & Bars In Los Alamos

"Bodega is one of those places you see on social media and assume can’t possibly look as gorgeous in real life. But somehow this outdoor wine garden is even more stunning in person. There are fire pits, hammocks, bocce ball courts, and a full greenhouse where you can buy succulents. Consider it an essential stop on any respectable wine crawl— just make sure it’s the last of the day. Once you’re in a hammock next to a roaring fire with a chilled red in hand, you aren’t going anywhere for a while. Bonus: on Saturdays and Sundays, Priedite BBQ pops up on the far back patio." - brant cox

This is the best place to come on the central coast. Impeccable vibes from the wine, food, and the music. The staff are so friendly! Whether you are a local or passing through make sure to stop here!

Google
Bodega is the home of Priedite Barbecue, as well as a nice wine bar and shop in Los Alamos. Great destination for barbecue fans - when we went they served glorious barbecue meat tacos and delicious burgers. Open-air picnic tables

Google
This place is absolutely beautiful, the service was great and the bbq truck they are paired with was also delicious. They have a wonderful wine selection but also had some great non-alcoholic options. The gentleman at the bar even turned on the heater next to our table for us since it was a drizzly day. If I lived around here I’d definitely be here all the time!

Google
Bodega is a little gem of a place! Friendly staff, featured wines to sample, chill music and relaxing atmosphere under the oaks. The smoked grilled artichoke paired pefectly with the tasty rose' Bodega is a must if you're in Los Alamos.

The brisket tacos and coleslaw were amazing, and the service as well. Loved the vibe, lounge area, and the wine and beer selections. We will definitely be back!!

Delicious BBQ. It opens at 11:00, and they are lined up. You may have to wait 30-40 minutes, but it's worth it. Got ribs, rice, and slaw.

We went for the Bandito Burgers they have on Sundays. They opened at 12 and when we got there 1145 there was already a line. The line continued to grow behind us, too. They operate out of a food truck in the back part of the lot. There is plenty of seating throughout. While you wait in line, they have an open bar with beers and wines. Small, cute, nice little stop. Burgers were good. Prices were ok. I guess on Saturday they have a BBQ to die for, but people line up really early for that, and I've heard they sell out too, so if you're not an early bird, well.... Maybe one day we will get the BBQ.

Great place to sip on wine and enjoy great bbq tacos. Great vibes with enjoyable music and atmosphere.

Yelp
Located at the end of Bell Street, this lovely beer and wine bar should be on your list for your next visit. Not sure what they do when it rains, as we only saw the outside -- which has a large, lovely patio and even a firepit to sit around. Many trees provide shade on a hot day. I loved their sour which was in a can, but still very good. The one beer they had on tap was a light lager which was also good. I assume most people come for the wine -- but we wanted beer to go with the BBQ place that pops up on the weekends. Nice change of pace from the many wineries / wine shops in Los Olivos and Solvang. Try it next time -- you'll like it!

Yelp
If I'm ever in the area, I will ALWAYS stop by this place. People are so friendly, it's gorgeous inside and out, and the wine is perfectly curated for my liking. It is more of a trendier spot rather than "traditional" wine but I love all wine so that doesn't matter to me! Overall, this has to be a must if you're in the area. They serve beer, wine, and non alcoholic options so everyone can enjoy.

Yelp
Super nice venue and great spot to gather with family and/ or friends. Nice touch with blankets on a cold day.

Yelp
The place is so nice and beautiful. It connects with a delicious bbq place. The Taos are fantastic as the sides as well

Yelp
This is such a charming little stop to make whenever we're in Los Alamos. They have a small natural wine shop, and offer wine and beer for drinking in their lovely outdoor space. It's beautiful to walk the grounds and grab a spot by the fireplace to enjoy a beverage. The service is friendly and quick, and there is usually plenty of street parking. Definitely make a point to stop here the next time you're in the area and enjoy a drink outdoors!

Yelp
Bodega is a cute spot to kick back and relax in the heart of Los Alamos. They offer a unique beer and wine list a and have a wonderful environment to relax in. The only reason I gave them 4 stars is it definitely feels a bit overpriced for wines I can buy cheaper elsewhere. However, your paying for the kickback atmosphere. I enjoy the hours they are open.

Yelp
Such a cute venue, wine shop, and tasting experience at the end of the street in Los Al. The most space and shade to enjoy your glass of wine on the strip. They were all natural wines too which is all the rage, no hangovers. We had a great time and would return!

Yelp
Wow, this place is beautiful! A perfect spot to hang out with a beer and enjoy a sunny day on the Central Coast. They have a great selection of wine and beer to choose from on the menu. Pretty much everything you can imagine in terms of selection. A lot of it was locally made so I adore the support for our local brewers! They specialize in natural/ organic wine and beer, so some beverages can be a bit pricey, but that is what you get for organic! The staff were very kind and seemed knowledgable about everything on the menu. I asked the server what was the tartest sour beer they served and she recommended a beer that was deliciously sour! It was a crisp, cool down for a warm spring day. Their outdoor space is really a slice of heaven! It was half shaded, so you can choose sun or no sun. There was a myriad of seating options from comfy beach chairs to picnic tables; some surrounded fire pits for colder nights. They also had an adorable little gift shop section! It was filled with artisan products that matched their boho, laid-back atmosphere. I wanted to buy the whole shop! Overall, this outdoor wine/beer garden was fabulous! Great ambiance, nice staff! It was truly a welcoming space to hang out for a few hours.

Yelp
Outstanding local beer and wine with a gorgeous outdoor patio and bocce ball court. We went for a quick beer during the off season but you can tell this place must be killing it during the peak of the summer. Nicely shaded and bench seating all around, you can't beat this place to take in the local vibe of Los Alamos on a weekend getaway. This place used to be a bit of a hidden gem and local secret but it feels like all the tourists are taking over this place on the weekend. I would say it could feel like there is some resentment for tourists here but there seems to be a lot of dollars flowing into the local economy so you dirty tourists keep coming here so the locals can scorn you just after you leave :) Just be on your best behavior and leave your ego back in LA where it belongs!

Yelp
This is such a cool spot, I'm so glad I found it on Instagram. They had a great selection of wines by the glass in addition to picnic boxes you could purchase with an assortment of meats, cheeses, nuts, honey, etc. There are so many different spots you can sit to enjoy your drinks - picnic benches, by the fire pits, on a hammock, etc. Would be a great place to come with a group of friends on a warm day. They also have a shop to by various home goods/bottles of wines. This is a great place to visit on a trip to Los Alamos, I would definitely recommend it.

Yelp
Pulled over for gasoline off the 101 from SacTown to PacTown , heard someone tickling strings and singing sweet serenades across the street , thought it was John Mayer playing a private gig at what seemed like someone's little private vineyard so I walked across the street after pumping gas , stayed for 2 hours tasting crushed grapes on a hammock under oak trees next to a vintage greenhouse while others played cornhole nearby. Good time it was.

Yelp
My friend and I loved our time here at Bodega Los Alamos! It's is super cute and all the glasses we had of wine and rose were super enjoyable! Such a chill and calming vibe and so many pretty photo ops! I will definitely be returning with fam and friends more often! This is also the perfect spot for a private outdoor event. Kind staff, cute merch, good drinks and the best ambiance!

Yelp
A gorgeous spot to relax and drink some natural wine and beer. Bodega is the perfect spot to spend some time with some friends. We bought a set of cards from their gift shop, ordered a bottle of wine and a cheese and crackers box and found ourselves enjoying ourselves for hours. There are plenty couches and lawn seats all spread around, so it's very easy to socially distance from people, since we are living in COVID era. Staff is very friendly and helpful! Prices are a little expensive but it was really worth it.

Yelp
Such a lovely garden to sip wines, enjoy the cool breeze under the sun. Each corner is an IG moment. Love their long list of sparkling wine, red, pink and white. They also have a picnic box full of goodies!!

Yelp
Beautiful wine tasting space. Very friendly staff. Only complaint is that the wine was definitely expensive with almost no glasses under 15$.

Jane L.

Yelp
1.5 stars - been following this place on instagram for years and finally had a chance to visit. What a bust! It's basically a glorified backyard but you're charged an outrageous amount to be there (we paid more than double what the winemaker charges for a bottle). We received no customer service aside from the monetary transaction. Overall a waste of time in the sleepy town.

Yelp
YESSS Bodega Los Alamos is right up my alley! It's a cute corner lot that is relaxing, soothing and the perfect spot to spend some time there with a beer or glass of wine. The beer list was pretty impressive, with beers from different states and even different countries! I had a can of Rose cider and it was perfect! There are plenty of picnic tables, a couple couches and lawn seats all spread around. There is even a fire pit and a bocce ball lane! We also shared a cheese plate between the two of us AND IT WAS AMAZING. My only gripe is that prices are a bit high, it was definitely a splurge so be prepared! If you spend the day in Los Alamos, definitely check out this Bodega!

Yelp
Beautiful, hip spot in Los Alamos . Definitely our favorite garden in that area to have specialty wines , hang around the fire pit and enjoy a picnic . You can bring your own food in as long as you buy their wine . Super pretty, bohemian vibe . 10/10 highly recommended.

Yelp
This is a gorgeous outdoor venue with a fire pit and lots of seating under the trees. They recently expanded their outdoor space. They don't serve food except for an occasional special event but you can bring it in. They also sell wine by the bottle with lots to choose from.

Yelp
Bodega was a super duper positive experience! Parking: easy street Vibes: clean, modern farm house. Live music! Wine: had a gorgeous bottle of Les Chemis de Traverse, a Beaujolais. Food: brought in tacos from down the road at Vallefresh that were rad. Owners were super rad and kind and we enjoyed chatting with them. Happiness all around!

Yelp
Loved Bodega -- they have a great selection of wine and beer and the staff is so kind and welcoming. We met some like-minded people and chatted with them at the fire pit. This spot is a must visit in Los Alamos!

Yelp
Wine & service was great but soooo pricey for food! Ordered egg rolls for an appetizer & they brought out only 2 which were tiny & charged us $12 ..that is ridiculous! We were in shock & even questioned them about it thinking it was a mistake. Will definitely not order food IF we go there again!

Yelp
Truly no better place to go and hang out on a sunny day. They have an awesome space that somehow instantly relaxes you as soon as you walk in. Their wine and beer selection is also incredible. We love this place so much, we're coming here the day after our wedding.
google avatar

Yelp
We were the only brown people in the establishment and were expected to get our drinks while everyone else was served and attended to, moreover drinks were overpriced and options were limited . Not impressed and felt very uncomfortable here as a person of color

Yelp
We dropped in for a calm New Year's celebration and it was perfect. Fire and blankets. And complementary bubbly. Great space. Looking forward to coming back some summer evening. Staff couldn't have been nicer. Enjoyed a nice bottle of Sav Blanc. Not a broad range of options but good variety and reps the SYV well.

Yelp
I've been wanting to visit Bodega for quite some time and finally got to this past weekend. I came with a group of 9 for my birthday weekend and we all very much enjoyed our time sipping wine in the beautiful space. And HUGE shout out to the girls Lauren, Christine and Allie, who were kind enough to help me set up my bridesmaids proposals while we were there and surprise my girlfriends. It turned out perfectly and I couldn't be more appreciative. I'll definitely be coming back!
google avatar

Michael D.

Yelp
Super rad place! It's a beautifully landscaped and maintained outdoor space with a great wine and beer list. My friends and I had a really enjoyable hour hanging out around the fire pit in the outdoor recliners. They have picnic tables too and I think you can bring outside food in at no charge. The small shop is stunning and has an awesome selection of local and international wines and goods. Can't wait to see what else they have planned, which apparently includes a barn conversion for indoor seating!

Yelp
My wife and I came to Los Alamos for a quick weekend get away. Bodega was by FAR the highlight of our trip. Besides the amazingly wonderful and friendly owners they have the BEST selection of beers I've ever seen. From their own locally brewed IPA to the most interesting sour beers. We played Bocce Ball in the sun and relaxed in the shade all while listening to the best tunes. Will 100% be back there again.
google avatar

Kristen S.

Yelp
A charming relaxing ambiance that lends it's self to get lost in conversation while enjoying a great selection of beer and wine. The owners wife is a doll and makes sure you are happy taken care of.
google avatar

Arielle M.

Yelp
GREAT ambiance and sweet young girls pouring wine. This place reminds me of sleep away camp. My only caveat is that they don't serve food. I know Flatbreads is next door, but Bodega has such a cool vibe that light snacks would make it even cooler. Again, you'll see I still gave them 5 stars because it's a great place and my husband and I love coming here. Maybe they'll start to serve some snacks soon though.
google avatar

Yelp
If you want to hang out, chill and relax with awesome service, this is the place! We are definitely coming back! Might even have our wedding here...
google avatar

Mike S.

Yelp
Beautiful space, relaxing atmosphere, friendly staff. I only wish they offered slightly more generous wine pours; I ended up paying $21 for a glass of wine (tax and tip included) for what seemed less than an average pour size.

Joe H.

Yelp
Amazing place serving organic/ biodynamic wines. I've relaxing atmosphere. I've been here several times and have never been disappointed.

Yelp
Gorgeous venue to have an event but also just to stop by and hang out with friends over some wine or beer.

Cindy R.

Yelp
Came here with some friends because of a recommendation. We were wanting to drink wine in a relaxed environment. Not sure what to expect we wandered in here and are so glad we did!! This place rulezzz!! Great selection of wine be very reasonable prices. Were able to hang out in the sun, play some corn whole and drink some amazing wine. I wish I lived closer to be able to hang out here more often. The lady serving us was super friendly and made us feel right at home! The place is picturesque. So many tables and lounge chairs, plenty of space to sprawl, twinkle lights, a succulent barn. Honestly everything about this place was outstanding! Will definitely come back next time I'm in town.

Yelp
I did not drink or eat here but i passed by and went inside several times. comfortable, intimate alfresco drinking and snacking is what it offers. cozy enviroment with multiple fire features. go, i dont believe u'd be disappointed.
