I love a bodega sandwich, and this was a lovely (slightly fancied up) bodega sandwich.
Coffee was decent, space is small but airy and stocks a limited selection of pretty standard hipster provisions. But the chances are you’re going to stop by for a sandwich, and it’s well worth it.
Had The Second City, and I thought it was a pretty perfect butty: well constructed, a good balance of flavours with a bit of spice, sweet, sour and comforting warm beef. The bread was exactly right for this type of sandwich, and offered good flavour itself. The whole thing wasn’t overfilled but neither was it stingy, and it held together from first bite to last.
