"This family has a few locations around town, but the spot on Harinas street in the Arenal neighborhood boasts the restaurant’s best Andalusian fare and Sevillano vibe. The place is known for its classic montadito de pringá (a toasted roll filled with all kinds of braised pork), but don’t miss the artichokes with cured Iberian ham or the salmorjeo (spoonable, cold tomato emulsion)." - Megan Lloyd

Very crowded but that’s the vibe for a good tapas place. Had 2 tapas, a grilled squid (charged by weight) and a poached artichoke topped with diced Spanish ham. They were so delicious. The squid were grilled to perfection with just salt on top, it’s tender and full of flavor, incredible. The artichoke is amazing as well. The lady at the bar where I sit poured me a very good white wine. Top the delicious foods and service is the seasonal price tag. Highly recommended.

Google
Honestly don't understand the negative reviews. Bodeguita Romero was fab. The atmosphere is buzzing and the food makes you understand why people queue for a table or a space at the bar. We loved it. The staff are super busy but very professional. We chose from their daily menu and each dish was delicious.

A friend of mine recommended this place to me. I was there around midday, and it got busy in 10 minutes. I was lucky to arrive 10 mins earlier. The staff is nice, the food was interesting and good - I can't compare it with similar dishes in Seville since it was the only time I tried it. It is cheap for Seville Center. I went back on Sunday with my mom (she arrived one day after me), but it was closed, so be aware Sunday and Monday are closed (at least in June 2024). I liked the experience, and it was definitely worth it.

Google
The YouTuber , Road Trip Spain and Portugal recommended this restaurant and we can say it doesn’t reach the best of the best standard. The OxTail Stew (Cola de Toro) has been over cooked or cook many times till the meats are too soft and you can’t feel the tenderness and chewiness of the beef ‘s oxtail. The pork’s cheek meat (Carrillera Iberia) was over cooked and tasteless and not good. The squid insides stucked with the minced meat and bacon are too oily and not good or special. The food is too ordinary and nothing extraordinary or special which give you the wow effects.

Google
Our best meal in Seville. Casual setting, great food, helpful service, and amazing value for money. The Pringa was probably the best sandwich I’ve ever had! It’s a must try. The squid and the tuna were also amazing. Highly recommend this place if you like casual, authentic local tapas.

Google
Probably my favourite tapas bar in Seville. We were lucky to get a table outside, but the staff are very efficient and the wait list is well managed. We loved the house potatoes, the pringa (pork/black pudding sandwich) and the sardine on toast. Lovely atmosphere and great selection of drinks.

YJ Koh

Google
Extremely busy joint, the poor waiter was thoroughly overwhelmed. We were so lucky to get a table soon after we joined the line, but the people behind us waited for quite a while. We liked the food very much, though the beer, potatoes, and salmorejo came almost as soon as we ordered, and the stewed pork sandwich (montadito de pringa) and spinach only came after 15mins. Maybe that explains the long wait for a seat.

Will

Google
Day one in Seville and I went straight to Bodeguita Romero for some late night evening tapas after a few hours travelling. I had to wait for around 30 mins but was so pleased I did! Amazing food, service once seated was superb. The menu is only in Spanish so you’ll have to do some work but that’s all part of the experience of being in an authentic Spanish tapas bar where the Spanish go! Try the tortillita de camarones, and the calamari meatballs. Just awesome!

Yelp
Great atmosphere, crowded all day long. Very clean and the staff is professional. Didn't try any food as we are stuffed from other places. Come check it out, neighborhood vibe from all the clien

Bridget D.

Yelp
We came here because my husband saw someone on YouTube recommended & because it's on YouTube it must be true, right? We waited half an hour for a table at 3 in the afternoon (didn't know they close at 4:30 before reopening for dinner). Food was so so so bad. Service was mediocre. They have a "famous" pringa which is a small sandwich with about 2 spoons of stewed pork - picture below cut in half. Also had a shrimp something that had no shrimp but tasted of bacalao. I love fried food but this was just gross. There were a couple other tapas that I also refused to eat. $50 euros and left hungry. It's not even charming ambiance. You'd have better luck trying places on the Calle San Jacinto.

Juan S.

Yelp
Great tapas and cost. Loved the choices and lived up to the hype. Would recommend for sure.

Vivian C.

Yelp
Came here to try the Montadito de Pringá or stewed pork sandwich for which this restaurant is famous for. On menu it is listed as "la autentica Pringá." Didn't disappoint. Meat was tender and tasty, bread was warm and crunchy. Didn't want to eat too much for lunch on a busy sightseeing day so the tapas version (we ordered 4) was the perfect size. Would advise to come early or ?make reservations (not sure if they accept) as this place is tiny and fills up fast. We arrived just a few minutes prior to opening lunch time 1pm and the place filled within 10 minutes.

Yelp
Excellent tapas bar in seville. There seem to be a few with rather similar names, but this one has some amazing food. We went here for dinner around 9:30 and sat at the bar. Drinks: Manzanilla sherry- quite dry. Not quite my thing. Vino tinto de verano- nice. But all the ones in seville have a slight rancid taste. Vino blanco- asked for a medium to sweet. This was great. All drinks were recommended by one of the guys behind the bar. What we ate: ordered everything in tapas sizes. Chickpeas and spinach(v)- excellent. Perfect for vegetarians. Had a touch of cumin. Tortilla espanya(v, eggs)- this was nicely done and very filling. Grilled cut of bacalou- amazingly tender fish. Saw lots of locals getting this and just pointed and asked got the same. Pork cheek- amazing. Probably the best dish here. Very tender and amazing flavors . Would go back for this.

Taylor M.

Yelp
rude and uncourteous staff. did not have the spinach/chickpea dish. Scoffed when we asked for tap instead of being upcharged for bottled water. worst service we received in europe

Jenny O.

Yelp
This is a great local tapas bar, close to the bullfighting ring with good vibes. We ordered the slow braised pork cheek, asparagus, spinach, cuttlefish meatballs, and cod croquettes. The slow braised pork cheek was excellent - you can definitely taste the slow braise. It was so succulent, juicy and packed with umami flavor. The spinach was hearty and warm, it tasted almost like a spinach stew and was excellent. Unfortunately, I thought the other dishes did not taste like anything and were too soft in texture... almost like baby food. Tip on the beer: if you order one, you'll get about 1/4 of a pint unless you specify for a large (which is still about 3/4 of a pint).

Althea B.

Yelp
Loved this place it's supper affordable and the tapas are so yummy definitely get the authentic pringa !!!

Tony T.

Yelp
Came for dinner and tried a lot of things on the menu. One tip - come early to score a table. We were there a few minutes before the restaurant opened and there was a line already. Scored an outside table and proceeded to start ordering. Must haves - montadito pringa, carrilada iberico and bacalao a la plancha. All 3 items were great. Also tried the tortillata camarones, boquerones, and revuelto de bacalao which were all very good. I particularly liked the scrambled eggs mixed together with the salt cod. A dish that is more unique is the menudo de ternera (tripe stew) which was very good but also an acquired taste. The esparrgos was OK. Would definitely come back and eat here again. Great place to eat tapas in Seville.

Gabrielle N.

Yelp
We arrived in Seville after a 4.5 hr drive and needed to indulge in a late lunch. Bodeguita Romero was steps away from the room we rented and there was a table outside calling our name. The waiter didn't speak much English (if any) but between my broken Spanish, and his ability to provide great service, we made it work! We very much enjoyed all of our waiter's recommendations; everything was delicious. We'll probably be stopping in again tomorrow to have another of the lightly battered salted cod and to try a couple more items. I could have eaten 10 of those delicious fish dishes. I must add the prices are fair! Amazing service and amazing food. Highly recommend! Be cautioned they close for a few hours in the late afternoon/early evening so plan accordingly.

Yelp
Authentic Spanish Gastronomy!! Best staff service, amazing flavors and wine selectio, 100% recommended. Food, Price and Service in Sevilla!!

Isabel L.

Yelp
Seville was our last stop of our Spain Trip so we were pretty tired of eating tapas however this place was highly recommended by our airbnb host so we stopped by. We really wanted to try the oxtail and it did not disappoint. It was flavorful and moist, tender, amazing! However we did come back on another day late at night and they were sold out :( And we had another friend come back on a weekend around 3pm and it was also sold out. We also tried the famous stewed pork cheek (their most popular dish) and it was also super yummy! I would recommend as well. The pringa montadito was okay. It tasted like a pulled pork sandwich without the sauce but our friend really liked it! Everything here was reasonably priced. Definitely a good spot to hit up in Seville!

David L.

Yelp
Wonderful little bar with fantastic food. Insanely busy during high time, so expect to wait and have to fight your way to a bar seat or a coveted table. They are known for their pringa sandwich which doesn't disappoint. You can probably end up pounding 3 or 4 of these, but you'll want to try the other dishes they have. The braised beef cheeks and spinach with garbonzo were particularly tasty. Locals definitely flock to here, so it's super crowded, but it's worth the work!

Kimmy U.

Yelp
I love restaurants like Bodeguita Romero, where it's always crowded with locals so you know it's a hot spot. We came here twice in our 3 day stay in Seville because we were trying to get the ox tail stew! Unfortunately we didn't get to try it :( hence the -1 star. BUT everything we tried here was FRESH and delicious, seafood included. Besides the ox tail, they are also known for their pork cheek. The meat is literally pull apart and not dry at all. The sauce went great with the meat, and you could tell it's been cooking for hours! My other favorite dish was the fried cod. It's a small, but THICK piece. Whenever I get a fried piece of fish somewhere, it's always a thinner piece and OVERCOOKED. This piece was perfectly cooked -- still flaky and moist! The bf claims this was his favorite restaurant on our whole Spain trip because of the vibe and food quality! **If there's a wait, let the man outside know how many people are in your group. He somehow mentally keeps track of everyone waiting and will tell you where to sit when a table becomes available. Don't just walk in and grab a table if there are people waiting outside!

Lily C.

Yelp
This is a wonderful and intimate restaurant that gets filled up 10min after open. We found it on Yelp based on good reviews for serving delicious, authentic food. The reviews were spot on. We arrived 10min before open at 20:00 (typical for Spanish restaurants) and grabbed a table, soon all the tables filled out with people standing next to bar to wait for tables. Some were tourists as it's close to sights, but many patrons are locals! We ordered a variety of tapas - Iberian ham, potato and sausages, stewed spinach, fried jalapeños cod, chick peas with spinach, and braised pork. Oh, the pork was heavenly, bursting with flavor in the mouth. We also liked the cod a lot. It was fresh, tender, with just a hint of jalapeños. My son loved the potato with sausages. the portions were generous, we had to work hard to finish all the food. Staff was very friendly too, fast service.

Ethan V.

Yelp
This place sucks. Overpriced food for small portions. Terribly poured Beers. I got two beers both of them didn't pass the halfway point on the glass. When we sat down, without saying a word, they gave us a basket of bread that was on top of our knives and forks, and then charged us for the bread. Highly recommend walking another 4 or 5 minutes to go somewhere that is not a completely terrible business. Food was 3/5, but the terrible service and prices made it a 1/5. Please don't waste your money.

Alice C.

Yelp
If you like pork, are adventurous, come on in. I was looking for the Sevilla classic of braised pork cheeks (Carrillada de Cerdo) and the internet led me to Bodeguita Romero. We came in after a walking tour and were hungry, which unfortunately meant we went for the full racions (full plates to share) so ended up with too much meat and took some home. Every dish we got though was excellent and had you licking the plate for every last drop if you could. We were very meat focused and went for the pork cheeks, stewed oxtail (which our tour guide earlier told us about and that it is bull tail - quite a special treat), tripe (menudo) and spinach with chickpeas. In hindsight, would recommend getting tapas or most 1/2 racions to try a few things and not get way to full like we did. Still, everything super tasty, they have a good rotating wine selection too, I got the mazanilla one because my very limited Spanish had me thinking that was a mash of apple and vanilla. Why came was a refreshing crisp (and yes appley!) white wine. Not a traditional pairing with dark meats by any means but I still thoroughly enjoyed it.

Alisa Z.

Yelp
My sister and I stopped by for some tapas and drinks at the bar. It was packed with locals which is always a good sign. We shared 3 tapas (about 3 euro each): squid meatballs, rabo de toro (bull tail), and the pork cheeks. All 3 were pretty large and delicious, the bull tail was falling of the bones, the pork cheeks were incredibly tender as well. Definitely recommend this place!

Rey L.

Yelp
Cheap and delicious. I had pork cheek, cuttlefish meatball and marinated potato. Can't really describe how moved I was when that slow-cooked pork cheek melted in my mouth. I also loved the meatball even though it's too soft and cannot be compared to pork cheek to some extents... but I love that flavor. Marinated potato was recommended by waiter and that's quite a good balance. Went there twice before I left. Ordered sausage and pringa this time. Sadly they didn't offer oxtail so I just had pork cheek again :3 since I'm not a mater in sausage reviews I choose not to expose my ignorance in this field. But pringa was FABULOUS. ATTENTION: some dishes would be prepared in a loooooong time (slow cooked dishes such as pork cheek and meatball). And sometimes kitchen seems to be incredibly busy, which makes delivery of food to your table even slower. Make sure that you have enough time and patience (and perhaps timely and positive communication with waiters?). It took me approximately one hour to wait for the first time and 45mins for the second.

Melisa C.

Yelp
The pringa was served fresh and hot! It was delightful. The place got packed easily. Come 10-15 mins early to get a good spot at the bar. The locals seem to love this place as well

Dillon L.

Yelp
I heard this place was famous for its montadito de pringa, so I tried one, as well as the stewed pork cheek. The montadito de pringa was very tasty. The pork and sausage are savory, and I really like the toasted bun, though the sandwich is a bit dry. I also really enjoyed the pork cheek. A good traditional and cheap dish, the meat was very moist. It seems like this place is very reliable for traditional Andalusian tapas. There are probably other bodegas with similar food, but at least the prices are cheap.

Cin P.

Yelp
This place is absolutely OUTSTANDING. I saw reviews about 'surly waiters' and honestly people, if you have a smile on your face and say 'gracias' I don't know anyone who wouldn't reciprocate the same! I found the waiters to be sufficiently friendly and knowing some high school Spanish was enough to communicate. Some reviewers complained that they don't speak English there. Duh, we're in Spain!! Speak their language! I digress... The famous 'pringa'...toasted pork sandwich with chorizo and blood cake. Sounds like a dry sandwich but the flavors of the meats came through and were fine on their own. Didn't need sauce or cheese (and shouldn't) to mask the wonderful meat flavors. GET IT!!! Carrillera Iberica (pork cheek stew)...oh my this was heavenly!! Easily the star of the show! I tried the fried potato slices doused with the gravy first and it was sooooo amazing! The potatoes were perfectly fried and still slightly crispy. The pork cheek was fork tender and luscious with whole peppercorns in the sauce. GET IT!!! Tortilla Patatas...skip! Basically a dry potato cake wedge. Wasn't worth filling in my tummy so I didn't finish it. Menudo...maybe get it. I am Chinese and love a good tripe stew but this one was just too fatty and sticky on the lips. Good to share but a small tapas plate of this was too much for one person. Conclusion: GO! Order what I recommended and learn a few Spanish words and try not to act like America owns/runs the world and you'll have a great time!

Kim K.

Yelp
This is the best tapas bar ever. We have been visiting Sevilla for 3 days and we had drinks and tapas here 3 times already. The bartenders are not very friendly and happy compare to United States but I think that is how it is with costumer service in Spain in general . We tried lots of different tapas and foods. They all are great. We are planning to go tomorrow for our last stop.

Henry C.

Yelp
Wow, have to try the fried thick cut cod (Bacalao), pork cheek stew, house special blood sausage and stew sandwich, menudo the Spaniard kind and cuttlefish fish, don't forget their potato salad, seasoned in olive oil and green onions instead of mayo. For the drinks, besides beer, I recommend their house made sangria. You and your partner would love it.

Barnali D.

Yelp
Wow! This place was awesome! The excellent food, good service, pleasant outdoor seating, and reasonable prices made for a lovely dinner. My husband and I shared the following tapas: 1) pringa - pork sandwich (rich and tasty) 2) solomillo de whiskey (pork tenderloin in a garlicky whiskey sauce, served with potatoes) - amazing! 3) presa - grilled Iberian pork - quite good 4) berejenas (eggplant with honey) - delicious! 5) salmorejo - tomato soup with ham (just ok - the only dish here that didn't impress us - we had a better salmorejo at Casablanca in Seville a couple nights ago) 6) stewed pork cheek - melt in your mouth awesome! 7) Padron peppers - quite good (though we've had better in Madrid and Barcelona) 8) Piononos - traditional dessert - very good! Our wines were also quite good, and my husband enjoyed his Sherry (the manzanilla this area is known for). The service was friendly and the food came out quickly. We sat outdoors on a high table in front of the restaurant - it was a perfect 75 or so degrees at 10:00pm on a mid-September night. Note - this is a popular spot, and we grabbed the last table outside when we arrived around 9:15pm. So, if you're American tourists like us and don't mind eating "early," you may want to arrive before 9:00pm to be sure you get a seat. Wonderful place!

Mia C.

Yelp
This small traditional and authentic tapa bar is located half a mile from the Seville central area. We walked all the way here for dinner because our car was parked nearby. This bar was packed when we walked in. After some time of standing at the bar, a kind couple gave us their spot on the way out. We ordered couple of glasses of Sangria and around 5-6 tapas and try to take in all the vibe and madness of a typical tapa bar since this was our last dinner in Spain.

Vinny L.

Yelp
This place was crowded with locals. We had Spinach and Chickpeas (I think it was too salty, but my fiancé liked it), Cuttlefish ball (do not order this - did not taste good at all), Pork Cheek Stew (just okay, a bit too salty) and Pringa (the best Pringa in all Seville). In Summary, all of the food was average except the Pringa. We only spent 13 Euro for all of these Tapas. Very cheap dinner. I gave 4* because of the PRINGA!!!

Siobhan S.

Yelp
I feel like a total failure (for not ordering the Pringa). Traveling abroad means limited data usage, which means not being able to rely on Yelp/Internets for what to order at a new place. That being said, I think we did A-OK with our orders at Bodeguita Romero. We decided to start our night at this tapas spot, and noticed that many others seemed to be enjoying themselves too. We came early enough to get a cozy spot at the bar, glazed over the menu and placed our orders. + Garbanzos and Spinach - Really good! Super duper flavorful... Moroccan tendencies with some of the flavor profiles.. We're not vegetarians we just wanted something with fiber after all the bread we'd been eating + Lomo w/ a paprika based sauce - I think I thought it was going to be more like a chimmichurri for some reason, but when we got it was more paprika-y. Good, I would probably order this with sherry next time instead though. + Racion of Artichokes & Jamon - This was really tasty and simple. It was a pretty hefty portion of artichokes, and the jamon was of course a highlight. Get the Pringa you guys! I didn't get to try it and I'm totally having FOMO.

Erica L.

Yelp
A three-generation tapas bar in Sevilla that blew my socks off. By far the most incredible food I had during my week and a half of Andalucian eating. The marinated potatoes soaked in olive oil so that they are perfectly tender and luscious are genius. The pringa mortadito, a grilled little round sandwich with the holy trifecta of black pudding, chorizo, and pulled pork is simultaneously flavorful, tender, crispy, warm, succulent, and incredible. It's squarely within last meal on earth territory. And the pork cheek stew here is tender as could be, almost beefy, and the best I've ever had. Finally the spinach and chickpeas were tasty and very cuminy, which I liked but the rest of my party did not love. I'll dream about this place for awhile to come. The decor is by no means fancy. And it's closed Sunday evening and Monday. I am arranging my last day in Seville around a last meal here.

Ruthie S.

Yelp
Food was fantastic! The place was busy but thankfully we got there at a good time. You know the food is good when there are a ton of locals eating there.

C M.

Yelp
This place was so good! We luckily got there when they were opening for dinner so we were able to get seated righted away. Loved all the tapas we ordered. We had fish, potatoes, sandwiches. Everything was delicious. I also got a sangria which I think was the best sangria I've had in all of Seville. And everything was so reasonably priced too. The bf and I tried to go back there for lunch a couple of days later, but it was packed and the wait was too long, so we only got to eat there once during our trip. The service is great and friendly. When you're in Seville, you gotta go there.

Natalie C.

Yelp
Pringa - the house speciality - is to die for!! I had to order two for my lunch today and will probably return tomorrow. Note: closed Mondays

Jerry K.

Yelp
We came right as they opened up for dinner at 8 and there was already a line. Once the door opened the place got packed within a few minutes. The Tapas tacos Bacalo was amazing grilled and the pringas are by far the yummiest option. The pork cheek melted in your mouth. So many good options and we will be back again tomorrow night!

John I.

Yelp
Food is not the best and they will up charge you if foreign and claim that what you ordered originally as a tapa was not available in that size after the fact. Make sure you're aware of what your ordering with them as well as the portion size if you do decide to go.

Jason D.

Yelp
Very busy place but definitely worth the wait. The pork cheek, blue cheese, croquettes, and the tortilla was all excellent. This is the best tapas place I've been to in Seville. All the locals eating here are also a good sign.

Gloria R.

Yelp
Went to place bc of the reviews. The site said open at noon but we got there and they said 1pm.Workers are very rude and wouldn't give us the time . We left and definitely would not give them our business. There lots bc we r a group of 9.!!!!!!!

Cynthia L.

Yelp
I heard about Bodeguita Romero after watching many vlogs about the best TAPAS in Sevilla. Wondering what the hype was about my husband and I decided to give it a shot. This place was beyond my expectations and I'm here to tell you the hype is real. Get the pork cheek, the montadito (first One on the menu as there are different kind of montaditos), and the fried Cod. FYI. Montaditos are little sandwiches that are stuffed with different meats. It was absolutely mind blowing! I'll warn you, it gets packed. Just grab a drink at the bar and snag a table when it opens up. Or just enjoy flavor town standing at the bar!!

Mengfei X.

Yelp
A rest place during our journey in Sevilla. Today is very very hot. Finally find somwthing local for lunch. Food tast good. Worth to try. We cost 20 or so for four people. So, price is friendly. Waiters are all nice people. The circumstance is impressive. We all like it. The problemmay be the food we try are all from previous photos, nothing new.

Michael M.

Yelp
We got a feel for the local flavor here. This is a local restaurant, be on the ball! The food and beer were excellent, the food was very authentic. It seemed like we were the only tourists there so it had a local feel to it. Order the serrano ham and manchego cheese and enjoy watching people.

C C.

Yelp
I really enjoyed the tapas at this place. Really tasty tapas and the menu was also translated in English.

SomeOne S.

Yelp
This establishment is alright. Friendly staff, with solidly prepared home-ish type of food. I can't say that I was blown away by any of the 4 or 5 dishes I've tasted, including by their montadito de pringa which is hailed as one of the best in Sevilla, but if you're in the area and want to taste some traditionally made dishes, prepared reasonably well and at a very reasonable price, go there. 3.5 stars

Jon S.

Yelp
*looks at previous reviews, smacks forehead* Yup we probably shoulda got the Pringa! Either way, we loved our meal and the service at Bodeguita Romero. It was the prime place to start our night of tapas hopping. We sat at the bar, had a few drinks, shared a few tapas, paid the bill (a teeny tiny amount), and were on our way to the next. Shared here: Espinacas con Garbanzos--We needed something green. But this was so much more than something green. It was PACKED with flavors and had a nice Moroccan touch to it. Oh and I have to comment on the crunchy bread it came with--a slice that I believe was fried in olive oil. That bread, topped with the spinach and garbanzos, completed the PERFECT BITE. Every texture you could ever need, in one simple bite. Solomillo w/a Pepper Sauce of sorts--The dish was solid. Not great. Still solid tho. The sauce got better after each bite. And the potatoes were left to soak in the sauce, which is always a good call. Marinated Artichokes w/Crispy Jamon--Another solid dish. We were clearly aiming for some veggies. The jamon bits were the best part tho...and plentiful. Thanks for that. It was a hearty dish. A racion, not a tapa. Glad we arrived a little early (just before 9pm) to avoid the rush. We hear(d) it gets quite crowded there.

Tonya R.

Yelp
Great, authentic tapas here (tortilla de camarones, pringa, papas aliñas, and so much more) and very good wine. We speak some Spanish, so we were able to joke with the waiter and had very friendly service. The desert (torta casera - housemade cheesecake) was fantastic. All the food was fresh, delicious, and surprisingly cheap. A restaurant for locals, bring some Spanish with you!

Boo S.

Yelp
Absolutely agree with everyone else- GET THE PRINGÁ!!! It's under montaditos on the menu. Also hood is the smoked salmon and queso fresco montaditos. Spinach and chickpeas were good, but a lot of spinach to eat continually! Sautéed artichokes and crispy Jamon was meh. Crazy busy at 3:30-5. Cleared out at 5:30. Worth a trip!

Qasim L.

Yelp
Food looked authentic and was delicious.l! Mostly locals during the day. Was good value and the staff were nice. Definitely recommend

Thomas C.

Yelp
This review is a little unfair, since it is based on one thing, and one thing alone. But that one thing..."¿Cómo te explico?'... was a most memorable bite. I'm talking about the 'pringá'. A Spanish friend told me one night that we were going to Bodeguita Romero on our tapas crawl to have 'the best pringá en Sevilla." I had always thought that pringá was some sort of weird lamprey or cuttlefish (doesn't it sound like it?), and thus avoided ordering it off the tapas menus in Sevilla. I'm glad I was wrong. Far from an exotic seafood, it turns out that pringá is slow-roasted pork that cooks in its own fat and juices (akin to a confit) until it falls apart. Judging by the slightly crispy texture and caramelization, I am guessing that it is fried in a pan after the slow cook. At Romero it is served on warm little rolls like little 'sliders' as we call them stateside. Friends, slow-cooked melt-in-your-mouth meat on fresh bread with a glass of vino blanco is how I'd imagine my last meal on earth. Doesn't get much better. I had an epiphany when eating pringá. Pringá is Spain's answer to Mexico's 'carnitas', or the 'barbecue' of the U.S. south. Better yet, perhaps carnitas and barbecue are simply North American interpretations of this old Andalusian dish. Click on 'photos' for this business and see my picture of a pringa 'montadito' (small sandwich).

Yelp
Great little place! I went right when it opened so it wasn't packed and I got the fried anchovies and tapa de secreto, both of which were fantastic. It was definitely one of the better places I went to during my trip to Sevilla and I would highly recommend it for a quick, affordable snack that tastes delicious. I really don't have much to say other than this is a really solid location with a pretty prime location that makes you feel like a local. There aren't too many tourists and most of the people are ones that are on a lunch break from work or something, so you definitely get a very good feel of where the locals eat. Definitely check this place out if you have time (or even if you don't)!

Yelp
Everything we ordered was amazing! It was so good we went twice. We ordered the pringa, pork cheeks, revueltos con bacalao, etc. Service was great, they were attentive and extremely fast. I would give it a 10 if I could!

Yelp
We tried quite a few items on the menu, and I have to say we enjoyed every single one of them. It was absolutely delicious! Great food, friendly staff! Don't forget to visit when in Sevilla..
