So boom… I ordered shrimp alfredo last night off DoorDash from Boeshreen. I checked the reviews first. Most of them were good, a few were eh, but everybody kept hyping up the shrimp alfredo pasta. There was one review that said it tasted like a TV dinner alfredo… but I figured, hey, everybody doesn’t have the same taste buds, right? Well… I hate to say it, but I gotta agree with that review. And honestly? The TV dinner might’ve been better. Now don’t get me wrong… it did have a lot of sauce, just like people said. The sauce was creamy, but it tasted like it was missing something. Like… soul. Flavor. Depth. Something. I even tried to save it… added Slap Ya Mama, Tony Chachere’s, the whole emergency seasoning combo… and it still just wasn’t giving what it was supposed to give. So yeah… not a happy camper with the shrimp alfredo. Would I try anything else from here? Honestly… probably not. The alfredo disappointed me that bad. Now, full transparency: I did order a whiting plate with fries, coleslaw, and hush puppies for someone else. They tore it up… but they’re also a certified human trash can, so take that how you want. I did try the hush puppies though… and I’ll give credit where it’s due: those were good. But the shrimp alfredo? Nah. It’s a no for me. Everyone’s taste is different, so you might like it… but me knowing how to make alfredo? Yeah. I’m sorry. This one ain’t it.

I've been craving a good gyro and this is hands down, the best one I've ever had. Absolutely delicious, haven't gotten into the wings yet but they smell and look perfect. Friendly and quick service at a very reasonable price

Ordered 2 snow crab combos and both are missing the shrimp. The livers were great. I ordered my son the shrimp and wing dinner. Never leave out the shrimp of a true seafood lover. I spent 75.00 and I expect to get all of my food.

Good food for the prices and the time to make it. Has flavor and quality for the way it's made the salads are full of juicy veggies and the meat is just wonderful spread with the salad all the way in it till the ending. And I got this like at late night. Most places at night the salads would have been made earlier that day but their salad was fresh and everything was crispy and delicious. I have been going to them since it was here and always love it.

One of my favorite local restaurants. I love getting takeout from here, they are quick and delicious and so friendly. The gyros are delicious and we love getting their wings. We recently got their seafood platter and we demolished the crab legs! Highly recommend. The drive through window makes pick up very convenient, and they always load me up on ranch dressing :)

First time visiting this establishment, and I was impressed! I had the Lamb Gyro combo, along with the Mixed Grilled Chicken, Steak, and Lamb served over white rice. The ingredients with the Gyro was very fresh, and the Lamb tasted great. The white rice with the Mixed grill was fluffy and very flavorful. First time having all three meats together and it was delicious. Their is plenty of room to dine in, and the service was good.

Ordered 20 boneless wings plain with hot sauce on the side, they were drenched in sauce....they were very good at fixing and replacing but then tried to give me my fries cold, when replaced I was given fries with NO seasoning, just nothing came out like I ordered... Overall the food was good because everything came out hot and fresh and they were friendly about it but I still don't want to have to wait longer after I ordered it online That's my only complaint

Greeting= Plus Food= Plus, Plus Price= Plus, Plus, Plus. I deliver for Uber eats...for now but when I smelled one of my customers food through the bag the entire ride, I said, Oh I'm going back there and I'm soooooo glad I did. This is the the tilapia and shrimp with drink dinner...Amaze⭐

Food- 10/10 the food always turns out amazing Service- 10/10 the cashiers I've encountered have always been really nice Ambiance-8/10 I never see a lot of people in there but it's always a get in and out trip for me If you are looking for something late at night this is the perfect place to get it from

I recommend! Food was hot and fresh. Service was prompt and they keep the restaurant clean! Lunch special was fulfilling and I have plenty more left to eat for later. The menu has plenty of options for the entire family!

1st time. Maybe. 2nd time. I'll keep trying. But the 3rd and 4th attempt for delivery shows whomever is in the kitchen cares zero what so ever. Undercooked meat. Messy plates. Wrong orders. No attention to any request. Do. Not. Order from here. Incredible awful service. Repeatedly.

It's been a minute since the last time I came here and I hope I don't wait too long until the next time. Restaurant is clean, organized and quiet. Service was very friendly. And the food was outstanding. I ordered a combo meal of a gyro, five chicken wings and a drink for $13.99. Very good deal. I chose Caribbean jerk rub for the wings which tasted very good. And I ordered a "small" Greek salad for $3.99. The portion fully justified the price. I believe Boeshreen is a great restaurant to represent Decker Blvd as an International Corridor.

First attempt was a fail. Decided to give them another try and was disappointed YET AGAIN. I ordered 10 Cajun teriyaki wings, fries and calamari rings. All items were burnt, overcooked and lacked season. The calamari rings were unappetizing. Very disgusting. The wings were overcooked. To add insult to injury, I informed the restaurant I only received 6 of ten wings I ordered. I was then asked, was I sure? As if I could not count. The fries lacked season and was cold to touch. I do not recommend dining here. Highly disappointed

I definitely recommend this is my first time eating here and it definitely hit the spot only thing is the mic situation when ordering I could barely hear him and vice verse for him who took my order

Looks like a Little Cesar's pizza with the orange. But the food was hot and delicious!! The place was very clean. And the staff was friendly. Would love to go back. If I had to say something to improve on maybe the length of time it took to receive the food. Although it was well worth the wait! We both enjoyed our food!

If you want a healthy bite in the area, then Boeshreen is your spot... it's definitely mine and we've been going for over 5 years now. As a vegetarian, I usually go for the Falafel Veggue combo platter or sandwich. My sweetie usually does the gyro sandwich or wings combo. Seems like most customers order wings from there too, understandably. All the salads are rather tasty too, and we usually get the Greek or garden with our orders (or instead of fries). Have heard the tilapia is good too. The fries can be hit or miss though... probably depends on how often they change the oil I suppose. I wish they still made babagaboush, which used to be an option with the veggie combo, bit I guess they don't have a chef able to make that can make it. What can you do?

The restaurant is clean and neat. The cashier usually is very friendly. I usually order the wings combo but the last two times I ordered my wings was not that good. Not sure what happened but it is always a wait, so I am assuming everything is made to order but I might be wrong.

We love finding small, local gems and this definitely was. We started with the desserts and coffee. Make sure you try the Turkish coffee if you're a serious coffee lover! The gal (with the friendliest smile ever) said it has added cardamom. It was perfect with a little dunkable traditional cookie. But the baklava, in the words of my son "he could eat everyday". I got the veggie plate and the hummus, pita bread, and falafel were exactly what my Greek loving palate was craving. We would come back for sure!! My men had the gyro and grilled meats and both said they were great. Ps: we actually waited until Thursday night to get the traditional menu, but they no longer offer that.

Everything was fantastic the food and service and ambiance was good and very lively. I would go back again.

Sadly, I did not get photos because we got our food to go. However, everything was very fresh. We got on your wings and fried green beans and the sweet corn bread. Yes, please don't let the Atwater parents stray you from going into this restaurant. The inside is absolutely welcoming and beautiful with delicious options and baked goods in the display cases. Will definitely go back to try other options!

Cashier was rude. The food has no flavor really. The lettuce on the Philly cheese steak was brown and tasted sour. It was dead when I walked in and the restaurant just seemed run down. Not impressed.

I was the frist customer here and years later I'm still here love this place ! good so good and fresh and great customer service and the best part about it all they open late so now you have a variety of on the menu versus just McDonald's and waffle House pull up.‼

This particular location has existed for a few months per the current owner, but the original establishment has been around since 1925. I was craving Mediterranean food & we liked the yelp reviews, so we decided to give it a try. We were initially thrown off & a little skeptical when we saw the empty parking lot,but ordered anyway since we'd bypassed several restaurants in search of this one. I ordered the lamb gyro special with Greek salad & the hubby ordered the beef gyro special with fries. Although I thought the meat could've used a bit more Greek seasoning, overall we were both pleased with our meals. the pita & meat were moist & the fixings fresh. The carrot cake was a little klunky looking & dry in my opinion, but my husband (the "foodie in training") didn't mind eating it. The baklava was sort of dense but ok (unsure if it was freshly made?). Overall, this restaurant gets 4 stars for our made to order gyro combos & the pleasant customer service we received .

Placed an order via DoorDash for lunch one day thinking it would be quicker than going in to order and wait. I was sadly mistaken. I got there and there were at least 4 people waiting for food. I thought my food would be ready seeing as I ordered more than 30 mins ago at this time. I waited another 20 mins (being generous) and finally received my food. This review is not all bad! I just had to lead with my disappointment to deter anyone from thinking that this is a 'grab and go' type of place. Customer service was great. The restaurant seems to be family owned and everyone works hard to get food out, that I could certainly tell! I ordered a chicken gyro with French fries. I ordered my husband the mixed grill combo which consisted of chicken, lamb, and steak over rice. I also grabbed a slice of pecan pie and lemon cake with raspberry drizzle. I arrived home with our food and it was still piping hot! It smelled amazing in the car but I kept myself from digging in although I was starving at this point. The food certainly made up for my disappointment in regards to wait time! My gyro was so tasty it was literally perfect! The French fries were so crispy and very well seasoned! My husband isn't much of a fry guy but he helped me finish off the fries quickly, I'll definitely order extras next time. I tried a few bites of hubbies combo and I'll be getting what he chose my next visit! The meat in the combo is so tender and pairs so well with each other! I was pretty stuffed afterward so decided to save my desert for later. I wasn't expecting the desert to be as good as it was honestly, it was very comparable to many small bakeries I've had in the area. I was very happy with my food and customer service and will certainly be back!

Best Philly Gyro I have ever had. So delicious. The manager was friendly and accommodated my special request. Definitely coming back.

As someone who has eaten here for 3+ years , Boeshreen is slowly starting to go downhill with its employees and its business in general. I miss when it was actually "Family Owned" . Recently ive noticed for those who may have a fish allergy that the fries and anything deep fried are cross contaminated, i feel as if boeshreen has always treated their regulars with love and given the upmost satisfaction previously with old members but recently the people seem careless, rude, and could care less about any complaint. I think its pretty crazy how a small cup of ranch is 50¢ , and there's only enough sauce in the cup for maybe 1 wing ( if you're really a ranch on your wing person you know what im saying) . The wings have been overly fried hard recently to where some parts are almost too hard to eat, and they have been alot smaller than they have been over the years. Any request put in will not be followed especially on door dash because unfortunately they wanna charge you $$$ for everything but have yet to add the option for Al La Carte .

Amazing and hot food, freshly made. Mediocre service. Cute dining space. Havent seen a place where you can eat on a sofa in a while. Comfortable. We ordered a smattering of menu items to sample different things. Grape leaves, lamb platter, the Classic gyro, falafel, and all of the desserts. Everything there is a little old school but the food is good and they were busy as coule be. Stready stream of pick up orders came and went during our dining experience. There is a snoball stand at the front of the restaurant. A little unique but it was not operating. It looks like this place has been a couple of different things over its lifetime. Food was good. Pricing was excellent. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for some good mediterranean food.

Boeshreen had been on my list of places to check out for the better part of a year, and after my experience I don't know how it has the reviews it does. My daughter and I went for lunch on a Friday around 1:30 and the place was completely empty. I legitimately wondered if they were open, because the lights were off, nobody was at either counter, and the food warmer section was completely empty. A nice younger guy came out of the back and took our order (1 Lamb Gyro combo and 1 Philly Cheesesteak combo), and we went to go get a table. First off, every single table was sticky. This combined with the musty smell and the fact that the men's restroom didn't flush made me question what the kitchen must look like. Our food came out after about 10 minutes and was piping hot. Presentation was pretty nice. The fries tasted like Ore-Ida frozen fries with some sort of seasoning sprinkled on, but were crunchy and fresh. The lamb gyro and the philly meat tasted the exact same - the only difference was the bread and the veggies. I went to the counter to ask for some extra napkins and ketchup - was two of each for two people. Overall, I was really disappointed. Maybe we came on an off day given the fact they've got some pretty good reviews, but many of them are older. Either way, Boeshreen is a hard no in my book.

Still have the same feelings about this restaurant. The food is lackluster and is one of the weakest points of Columbia, SC. I have had the chicken gyro, oysters, cheese fries, and many more options. None of them is worth going back to the restaurant.

With truthful words, this was actually pretty good. My grandpa and grandma know the guy who owns this, and we go there sometimes to talk to them. Sometimes the food was nasty, but most of the time, I actually enjoyed it! The service is kinda... good. And the ambiance is alright.

Shrimp and chicken is delicious. Great customer service. Restaurant is clean. Every time I have went there I had a good customer service with the managers.

This place never fails to disappoint. They have legit middle eastern food with that level of comfort one would experience with eating it. One side is their food cafe side, the other is the drink/coffee cafe side. Their cookies in the jars are SO GOOD. They are not overly sweet, almost remind me of a subtle version of a shortbread cookie. I ate the whole small jar within less than 2 days! I do miss their baba ganoush. They had it within past 2 years and suddenly it went away the last time I visited. It was definitely by far my most favorite of their entire menu. Their other food options are incredible. I would ask for extra white sauce with the order. They have that recipe down pat! The staff are always a pleasure to work with there and each visit is worthwhile. Definitely worth trying!

Tried out a number of menu items (shakshuka, kofta, lamb gyro over rice, walnut baklava, and carrot cake) for takeout, and most items were pretty solid. I don't know what spices they used for the rice, but it was addictive. Good thing the lamb plate's portioned for two meals! Fair prices. Loved the carrot cake cream cheese frosting; it was just subtly sweet, the way I like it. The baklava, on the other hand, was overwhelmingly sweet, so don't recommend that. The building design is a bit odd. There's a snowball/dessert shop on left side and a separate hot entree side on the right side. Lots of menu screens with photos, which is helpful to know what you're ordering if you're not familiar with Mediterranean food. Service was friendly, and I'm looking forward to trying some other items.

Have eaten her many times for lunch, and love going there. Atmosphere is a bit sterile but the food is outstanding in my opinion. the lunch specials are great, and it is not the same-old stuff you see at fast food places. I highly recommend a person try this place and make up your own mind. I keep coming back.

Great hole in the wall place for fresh and tasty middle eastern food! We love their falafel platter, and always get the fries because they are so well-seasoned. Don't miss this unassuming restaurant!

They do require masks when ordering. If dining in you may take your mask off once they serve you food/drinks. Very friendly staff. Food arrived hot and within a few minutes. I had the beef gyro and baba ganoush. Both were delicious. Perfect spot to grab a quick lunch.

I returned in Aug. 2021 while driving back across country after dropping my kid off at college. They were empty because of Covid, but I had a great gyro sangwich. Would eat here any time in while Columbia, SC. It was fun to return and I wish them well as things reopen. I want to hit that steam table of lamb shanks with meat falling off the bone.

This is one of my favorite wing spot and the only place in Columbia where I get my gyro. My orders are always on point, the price is good and the food is better. I usually get the lamb gyro(bomb) but decided to give the chicken one a try and it did not let down, this is definitely a place to try out.

Went here close to midnight after taking a DoorDash order here a few weeks prior. It smelled super yummy when I was delivering the food, so I decided to try it out for myself. Thank God I did, I was BEYOND impressed. I got the chicken tender meal (to play it safe for my first trip there) and it was absolutely amazing. The Cajun fries are also 5x better than the French fries, in my opinion. My boyfriend got the wings combo, and although he hoped for a little bit more dressing on the wings, he ate every last one (this says a lot, considering he has a food palate of a 5 year old haha). I am definitely going to try the shrimp combo next time we stop here Super happy about living super close to this restaurant because it is definitely a new favorite! If you love cheap, good food, be sure to check this place out!!

I have to say that this place blew me away! I was expecting run of the mill middle eastern food but wow this place blew my mind! I got a whole bunch of food for little price.... I had the lunch special of beef with peppers and onions over rice with a bowl of soup and salad and a drink. I also added a side of hummus and pita! I left with so much on my plate bc I couldn't eat it all. This never happens. If you are ever near here and are hungry please try it! You and your wallet will leave full! The deserts are going to be on my next visit they looked so delicious as well.

How did this get so many good reviews? Ordered a lamb gyro with only tomato. Basically a tomato and pita. Microwaved pita and microwaved meat. Definitely not authentic. The guy didn't know they served onion rings and he didn't know what tzatziki sauce (cucumber sauce) was, he called it white sauce. The onion rings had good flavor but were very burnt. They would have been great if not overcooked. They came with honey mustard which is just from a bottle. Very expensive and very disappointing. $13.13 was the total

They have changed the menu since we were last here...It's more fast foodie.? We ordered anyways. Tables were sticky and not very clean in there. But food was okay. My lamb gyro was good but smaller then expected. Cheese fries were just a ton of cheese sauce dumped on top of fries. Loved the pistachio baklava! It's a long drive across town to go here and probably won't make the trip again.

Food and service was great ! I just wish they had more deserts but we were there toward the end of the night!

I wouldn't eat here at all, let me tell you why. Me and my husband decided to check this place out, so we went inside and the people who was serving the food didn't have no gloves!! They were touching all the fresh ingredients that you choose without gloves!! The worst part was that when my husband asked them to put gloves on please the refused and got made, telling him that if he didn't like it to go elsewhere ( Fine with us because we weren't about to eat out of their dirty hands) When we asked for a refund they got more mad and threw the card at my husband like WE just did something wrong, all we wanted was our food served using gloves THATS ALL! Horrible Service!!

One of the few halal restaurants in the area. Excellent taste, quality, portion size, and price! I have tried many things on the menu, and they are all great. I haven't tried the desserts or coffee though. I take one start off due to the sometimes awkward service. There is a hot bar as well as some things which are made to order. If in a group ordering from both types of menu items, the hot bar food would be ready much earlier than the made to order. You can alleviate this by ordering the hot bar food some time after the made to order food. Also, you may have to wait a bit if the cashier is assembling someone's food from the hot bar.

I have been to Boeshreen twice now and I definitely plan on going back. I love to eat falafel and baba ganoush. On my first visit that's what I had, with pita bread of course. The second time I only had baba ganoush. But the second time I went with a few coworkers. They branched and got other items. Dishes ranged from salads to kabobs to sandwiches. I only had baba ganoush the second time around. I was in heaven. There are tons more options to try, so i will definitely be back. I would defiantly recommend giving it a try.

Got the Gyro and Fried Gizzards today. Wow. The food is excellent!! I have visisted Greece and the Lamb Cyro taste so similar to what I had there! Will return. A bit of a wait, but...its because it is FRESH and so worth it.

Food was great. Service was outstanding. I love going to locally run places that seem to appreciate your business and try to take care of you the best they can.

I wish I could give more than five stars. I love this place. The food is phenomenal and the staff is great. They let you try samples from the hot bar on the nights that they serve authentic Libyan food and they are very patient with those who are new to the cuisine. They will answer any questions you have and are great at describing the dishes to their patrons. From the hot bar, only available Thursday through Saturday from 3 to close, the béchamel is wonderful. My personal favorite is kabsa (rice mixed with spices and shredded chicken) topped with a chicken quarter. The vegetable stew (a mix of chick peas, onions, and tomatoes) is also great and can be served with the kabsa at no additional charge. Their "standard" fare of phillys and sandwiches are also great, and the lamb philly is unique enough to differentiate them from the droves of other philly joints in town. The kofta burger also gets rave reviews from the husband and he orders it often.

Back again for a wonderful lunch. Philly cheese steak , falafel and hummus fed two of us for lunch. The young man that served us was very polite, and checked up on us from time to time, refilling our drinks. He also offered us some wonderful complimentary almond cookies. These are the nicest people and their food is top shelf. They now offer drive through service! Thanks for the great lunch. Thanks also for the hospitality. We'll see you again soon.

So this place seems a little odd, but the food was just fine! We ordered gyros, lamb and chicken. Mine came with 5 wings that were crispy and very tasty (you get to pick your wing flavor from 25 options). My chicken gyro was huge and filling. Very good, maybe a bit too much sauce and cheese but that's just me. The odd part is that nobody was there, although they were doing a brisk drive thru business, and that the menu is a little mixed up. Where do they serve wings, gyros, falafel, hamburgers, cheesesteaks, sweet potato pie, baklava, and chicken tenders? Well, you found it!

I have enjoyed so much food from this restaurant. The stuffed grape leaves and hummus with pita are very good and so classic. The gyros are A M A Z I N G, and employees are so accommodating with extra sauces and things. I would say, though, that the environment leaves something to be desired. The last time we ate here (the one of two times we have eaten instead of ordered to go), the space was not clean. We moved from one table to the next because there were lots of flies, and when we moved to the other space, there was food stuck between two of the joined tables. Once we cleaned the table and our food came, an employee stepped outside to smoke and left the door propped, filling the space with the smell of cigarettes. I'm not a smoker, and it's no longer the 90s, so the smell of cigarettes in a dining setting made me uncomfortable. It may not matter to others. I hope this is remedied for future customers who do care. All of this being said, I will still continue to buy and eat wonderful food from here, just taking out!

If you are a fan of delicious flavor, stop in. Authentic Mediterranean and Middle Eastern dishes. Sharshouka is now one my favorites. There is no dish like it. It's like a celebration of flavor in your mouth. Served with fresh pita it's a must-try for sure. Everything is fresh to order and impeccably prepared. Try the veggie sampler platter too. Felafel, dolmathes, fresh hummus and fresh pita.

Me and my son went to this place for the 1st time what I can say is it's a hidden jewel on decker Blvd. One thing I did notice it was nice and clean the restrooms were in great condition the food was wonderful. And great customer service . I recommend this place.

We went to grab some dinner and we were assisted by Alaya at the register. She has AMAZING customer service. She was extremely helpful and sweet. Once we ordered and sat down she came over to let us know when we could expect our order. When she brought out the order she was careful to check and see if we needed anything else-more than once. The food IS CRAZY GOOD. We will certainly be back when we are back in town.
