"Bagel-loving Peninsula-dwellers rejoiced when Berkeley-based Boichik Bagels expanded to Palo Alto. Their location here (in Town & Country Village) is takeout-focused, but there are a few tables outside of the shop, a.k.a. prime real estate for digging into your paper-wrapped sandwich immediately. Loose bagels are available, as are sandwiches with things like whitefish salad or lox, but we like to keep things straightforward at Boichik: everything, untoasted, with chive spread—simple perfection. " - julia chen 1, ricky rodriguez

Google
Excellent way to start your day! They have a wide selection of bagels and spreads to choose from. I got a eggything with the horseradish cheddar scallion spread and it was delicious. Chewy, warm and filling. The spot is more catered towards takeout orders so the seats outside are a bit bare boned. There was a bit of a wait for me since the order before me was super huge. Not sure if this happens often, but might be something to factor in if you're looking for something quick.

In the morning the bagels might be nice and fresh but at 13:40pm we bought 6 multi grain bagels and they were very chewy, hard to eat and had no crunchy crust. Sorry owner it was not pumpernickel and it was not chewable. Just sell fresh warm bagels! We eat them from other places for the last 40+ years only ;) Sorry, but to pay that amount for old bagels is a joke. Suggestion, maybe buy when they are nice and warm or you should toast them ... They were nice enough to reimburse us. Thanks.

Google
Good option for bagels in the South Bay Area! Got the classic (a lox bagel with some toppings) for a Sunday morning breakfast. Perfect ratio of bagel and toppings. Ordering online can save some time but the line also goes pretty quick too!

Google
This is the best bagel in the country. It’s priced at an extra premium. The downer during our visit was 1 cm to 1 inch of cream cheese on all our bagels. I get it is decadent, but there is such a thing as too much of a good thing. The customer then needs to do this inevitably messy surgery on the bagel getting cream cheese everywhere.

Google
I love to get fresh bagels for the family. Boichik’s are supposed to be good, high-quality, and artisan bagels. The price point would also dictate that. However, the bagels are here are average. They’re good but not exceptional or any different from any other average bagel shop bagel I’ve had in the Bay. If you’re around and want to get a bagel, grab one here. Otherwise, not worth the hype or chase to get.

When I first read an article about best bagels shop being in Berkeley I laughed. Not because there are no good bagels on West Coast, but because bagels are in States pretty much equal to NYC. But when NY Times claimed so, I decided to check it out. And since they opened in Palo Alto I decided to try it today. Everything is true. They are best bagels in States. Hands down. Probably most expensive to. I ordered one toasted everything bagel 🥯 with lox spread. And it was $6.50. But honestly it was really worth it. Highly recommend .

Google
I've been here twice now and I absolutely LOVE these bagels. They have a really nice chew to them without being overly chewy if that makes sense. The lox spread is amazing. I would HIGHLY recommend giving this place a try. The parking lot can get a little crazy but overall not terrible parking at all. Everyone is super nice and friendly. There's no dine in area as this place is rather small but there are a couple of tables outside. The only thing I would say is ALWAYS double check your order. The first time we went, we did a bigger online order and they couldn't find it, once they found the order they attempted to give me not even half the order, when I brought to their attention, they said that was all on the order and then said it didn't come through on the receipt and were able to locate it. The second time, I ordered at the counter and they almost didn't give me the tube fish salad that was ordered because it didn't come through initially. They are always super nice about it but just make sure you have your receipt and double check. I know it's not malicious in any ways but more an annoyance if you were to get home and be missing items. It won't deter me from going back at all, truly love this place.

Yelp
Had a chance to try Boichik Bagels today - the Palo Alto one and Really enjoyed it! This place is located in a very busy plaza but it's nice because Trader Joe's is right near the plaza. Today when we went, there was a line out the door but thankfully it went by very quickly which was nice. For our order we tried the onion bagel with hatch chile cream cheese along with tomatoes and capers. This was a delicious well sized bagel with a nice amount of cream cheese. Every bite was wholesome and would definitely get this again! Overall great experience and delicious bagels!

Stephanie H.

Yelp
I thoroughly enjoyed the bagel!! I ordered the everything bagel seasoning with plain cream cheese. We took it to-go and even though we ate it 20 minutes later, the bagel tasted extremely fresh! It was still warm, airy, and had a nice chew to it. I typically think most bagel places taste quite similar, but the taste was definitely impeccable! Overall, definitely recommend :-)

Yelp
It tastes good, but is expensive for what you get. I ordered a bagel sandwich with a toasted Eggything Bagel (egg bagel with everything seasoning) and chive shmear topped with lox, tomatoes, cucumbers, and capers. This came out to about $16. My order was ready in about 5 minutes. The bagel was still quite chewy with no crunch, so I wish it was a little more toasted. The portion was decently filling. There are a few tables and chairs outside, but most people take it to-go. Overall, I wouldn't mind coming back if I happen to be in Palo Alto while really craving bagels, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come here otherwise.

Gabrielle L.

Yelp
1/24/25 - Went here to show my friend the bagels and WOW I finally got to try it and it was amazing! I loved the seasoning on the everything bagel too! Combo I got was: everything bagel, plain cream cheese, nova salmon, and avocado

Jordan J.

Yelp
Great bagels! Surprisingly great drip coffee too! Fast friendly service. Small place with outdoor tables, nice outdoor mall to browse shops. Parking is tricky on weekends but they do have valet .

Janessa M.

Yelp
This is my second time trying Boichik Bagels and it's a decent bagel spot! This time I tried their Eggything bagel with plain cream cheese and it was pretty good! The bagel has a nice chewy texture and paired well with the cream cheese. I did get the bagel toasted, but I wish it was bit more toasted. Service was pretty quick. The place is a bit small, but they do have a few seats outside to enjoy your bagels.

Jade M.

Yelp
These bagels are the closest I have had to true NY bagels on the west coast! I'm obsessed and can't stop coming back here. :) You really can't go wrong with anything, but my favorite is a salted, untoasted, bagel with chive cream cheese. I wanted to take a picture of my bagel this time, but I was too excited to eat it!

Dianne L.

Yelp
Really good bagels, fresh and tasty. Love starting my day here. They have a nice selection of spreads to choose from, and the bagels are delicious. I have been to other locations with nicer outdoor seating, but overall this Boichik Bagels is nice. They have good customer service; the staff is friendly.

Todd N.

Yelp
I recently visited Boichnik Bagels on a Saturday morning around 9 AM. The space overall was pretty small with limited seating. I arrived just in time to avoid the growing line, soon after we ordered. I got an egg bagel with lox, and wow-- the egg bagel was so good. It had this unique, bouncy texture that was both different and fun, making it a new favorite for me. While I can't say it's a New York bagel, it scratches that bagel craving for me!

Isabella D.

Yelp
They didn't have too many flavor varieties in comparison to other bagel places, but service was very speedy and the bagels were nonetheless good. The amount of cream cheese is especially a lot, but don't expect too much of the toppings when you add things like veggies.

Ashleigh S.

Yelp
I've heard so many things. Finally made it to a shop while on the drive down to Santa Cruz. I heard from other reviews that it can get busy so we placed our order through their website about 15 minutes away. It said it would be ready 10 minutes after we got there but low and behold, the bag was ready to grab! The ultimate hack and let us get back on the road in a flash! And yes it was very busy on a Sat morning at 10am. They were speedy and schmearing those bagels like a racecar pit crew. Bagels were big. A few people just got the bagel and schmear and were impressed especially for the price. I went with the full lox sandwich and while it was $16 or something, I had so much salmon on there! Truly truly yum. I think I'm a convert for life. I hear they just opened it are opening another one in the city so I'm about to become a regular.

Mary A.

Yelp
Absolute yum! I've heard from my colleagues who are originally from NY that this is perhaps the best bagel spot in the Bay. I kept this in my bookmarks for a long time until I finally found the opportunity to check it out on Friday morning. It's a small shop but you get a strong whiff of bagel goodness when you walk in! I had to default to my favorite bagel order - lox bagel ($16 bagel sandwich). There was over 10 bagel flavors to choose from, and I chose to get it on an eggything bagel. When they handed me the bag, it was surprisingly heavy. Absolutely jam packed with delicious lox goodness! The toasted lox bagel was soooo delicious and the chive cream cheese was the absolute cherry on top. I only ate half of it for breakfast and saved the extra half for breakfast the next morning. Even as leftovers, it's still incredibly delicious. Absolutely worth it for the price! I now understand why my east coast colleagues rave about it!

Irene Y.

Yelp
Love the bagel, but the cashier is grumpy. While I love the place, I get it we all have bad days. However this has happened twice. I am beginning to think that's just personality. I was going to get the trucker hat, but the experience doesn't makes me love Boichik.

Alaric S.

Yelp
first time trying boichik bagels recently with my girlfriend! the salmon bagel was really good! the service was ok, they didnt toast my bagel they ran out of the eggything and garlic around lunch on a weekend no seats inside, but ambiance had nice outdoor seating!

Michelle L.

Yelp
I've been waiting ages to try this place - which has been advertised to me as the NYC bagel of CA - and I was not disappointed! The bagels are sooo fresh and delicious, I highly recommend the egg bagel with the white fish topping. Lox is also a stellar option. I'm glad they have multiple locations across the Bay Area now!

Jeannette K.

Yelp
yum! bagels are always freeh and they give you the right amount of cream cheese to bagel ratio (lots!) love the horseradish cheddar chive cream cheese on any savory or plain bagel.

Erica W.

Yelp
Didn't toast either sandwich and one had rotten avocado smeared into it. This was unappetizing and inedible. Bad first impression.

Minah L.

Yelp
The bagel sandwich I got was great fuel after a workout. Just a simple onion bagel with their seasonal cream cheese (green garlic and herbs), tomato, and daikon sprouts for $6.50 ($3 bagel, $2.50 spread, $0.50 toppings). I like a lot of spread so I'm glad that they added a lot! The seasonal cream cheese was so flavorful (awesome that they also offer vegan cream cheese). Bagel had a nice chew and was soft enough. Price is a little steep for me but I'll stop by whenever I'm in the area.

Brie R.

Yelp
After coming back from New York, one of the biggest cravings I've had has been for their bagels. Boichik claims to have brought the NY bagels to the Bay, but I'm not so sure. The bagels are good, for sure, but I wasn't transported back to NY like I was hoping. I got the lox on an egg bagel but I just feel like something was missing from the bagel itself. I was hoping for that NY bagel crunch on the outside and the soft inside, but instead I felt like it was just a regular toasted bagel. The amount of lox they put on the inside does equate to the cost, but if I'm craving a bagel, I also want that to be one of the bigger stars. I have bought Boichik's frozen everything bagels in the past and for whatever reason, that provided more of a NY flavor than the ones from the shop. I won't completely count this place out, and I know I'll be back to try a different bagel and lox combo, but I won't be too bothered if it still doesn't satisfy that NY craving.

Jenica C.

Yelp
I finally got to try a whitefish salad bagel and I'm happy I got it from here. It was decadent, savory, and refreshing. I ordered the "Daily Special" on an everything bagel and it was delish. I think next time I won't get it toasted because it was a little too chewy but it's definitely my go-to bagel order from now on. The service was great and the ambiance is more of a grab-and-go place with limited outdoor seating that was full when I went.

Allister D.

Yelp
This is a straight 5-star bagel joint. I love the story behind the business and of course, their delicious bagels. There's something in their doughy mixture that reminds me of something from NY. The dough is thick and fluffy with a nice chewy texture. Getting their bagels toasted is a must. I highly recommend the daily special which is whitefish spread on this chili spread. It's pretty salty so order the plain bagel. It's a great sandwich for $10! Only problem is, it'll keep you wanting to try more. I'm also a huge fan of their everything bagel with plain cream cheese. This is original and is an excellent introduction to their bagel bites. I got to see the open kitchen with a person making the bagel, a few others creating the bagel specials and slicing them for the customers, etc. everything is done well here. I'd love to come back for their Lox special! I'm a huge fan of this place.

Danit B.

Yelp
Pumperthingle, not toasted, with lox spread and sprouts. You'll thank me later. Delish bagels with absolute proper ratio of cream cheese! Come hungry, cause these aren't your basic bagel.

Soomin K.

Yelp
Food - 4/5 Service - 5/5 Ambiance - 4/5 I've had Boichik Bagels in Berkeley few times, and recently found out it opened up one in Palo Alto also. I remembered it being pretty good, and wanted to compare it with Midnite Bagel in SF that I had a week before. Ordered three different combos. 1) Cinnamon Raison - Toasted - Regular Cream Cheese 2) Sesame - Untoasted - Chive Cream Cheese 3) Everything Bagel - Toasted - Regular Cream Cheese Chive cream cheese game here is pretty weak. Need more chives chopped in there to make it extra savory. Texture of the bagel is alright. I give four stars since I'd still come back for it, but I'd say the consistency of the texture among those three bagels were different. Cinnamon raisin was a bit tough to chew vs. Everything Bagel was plumped up enough where it had a bit of a chewy texture in the middle. If you just want to satisfy your bagel craving, this is a great bagel place. However, if you want some good authentic New York style bagel that is slightly crunchy outside but chewy inside, I'd go to Midnite Bagel.

Anna A.

Yelp
I came here on a very rainy Sunday so there was no line at all and the turn around rate was quick. This time I ordered a twist on their daily special; Eggything with egg salad, chive cream cheese and red onions. I love this place because I am absolutely in love with the eggything bagel! Soft with all the perfect flavors. Although the combo of an egg salad and cream cheese felt a bit odd but still yummy in its own way. The egg salad itself was lacking salt so maybe that's why it pairs well with a flavor packed cream cheese.

Lloyd C.

Yelp
I've heard good things from friends about Boichik, so i am so glad they opened one up in Palo Alto, which is a lot closer versus having to travel to Berkeley. They are located in the Town & Country Village Shopping Center. I tried "The Classic": 3 oz of nova lox, chive cream cheese, capers, onion, and tomato. We asked the cashier which flavors he recommended with the sandwich. He said, "Everything, plain, sesame seed, or poppy seed. I went for the Everything bagel. It was a very good sandwich, and you could taste the great quality of every ingredient in it. They carry the Black & White Cookie! I did not grow up eating this cookie, but after watching a Seinfeld episode, I was hooked. I don't have to go all the way to New York to get these! It was nice and moist with a light lemony cakey cookie. The chocolate and white chocolate frosting was a bit thin. Nice intimate and cozy bakery that works like a well-oiled machine, getting you in and out quickly. We'll be back!

Roman N.

Yelp
First time having Boichik Bagels and I enjoyed it. I recently saw a video on Instagram reels about their lox bagel, and I just couldn't stop thinking about it. I was near Town and Country this morning and took the opportunity to swing by and see what all the hype is about. I ordered the Classic, which came with chive cream cheese, lox, capers, tomatoes, and red onions. It was ready in less than five minutes, after which I drove straight home. At $16 a bagel sandwich, it's pricy, but I think it's worth it: there's a sizable amount of salmon, tomatoes, and cream cheese, so much that you might have a hard time fitting it in your mouth. The sandwich was also noticeably salty on account of all the capers and salmon in the bagel. Now, I like a salty bagel, and I think the cream cheese does a good job of balancing out the saltiness. However, if you aren't a fan of salty foods, I'd recommend getting light or no capers. If you aren't turned off by the steeper price tag, give Boichik Bagels a try for some tasty bagel sandwiches.

Jenny K.

Yelp
Gluten free bagels were delish and didn't actually taste like cardboard! And the lox spread was tasty. Fast service! Easy to order. Interior is decent. They give a great proportion of cream cheese to bagel! Would recommend!

Julia R.

Yelp
Stopped in early on a weekday to try a bagel. There was a line out the door that moved very quickly and once inside I can see why people love this place. It has a very cute interior with NYC bagel shop vibes and smells fantastic. There are lots of bagel and cc options compared to shops like Noah's. It also seemed cheaper than other bagel shops to me which was refreshing. The bagel itself was pretty dense and only lightly toasted so it did not have that classic crunch that I like. They do give a really good amount of cc so you're getting a bang for your buck in that sense, however I felt like overall it didn't have a ton of flavor (I tried the chive cc). Definitely not the worst but not the best bagel place I've been to and I would come again to try a more unique flavor cc like their horseradish cheddar scallion. Overall 7/10

Ping L.

Yelp
The Classic was very good! Very filling! Flavour was everything i wanted on a lox bagel. But it's a little on the pricey side. The tuna bagel was alright, but i would prefer getting something else next time.

Dennis R.

Yelp
Amazing experience! Really delicious, fresh and well prepared products. My first time here but certainly not my last. Next time I'll buy a dozen!

Stephanie I.

Yelp
We had heard quite a bit about Boichik Bagels and anticipated our visit. It is an order-at-the-counter and takeaway establishment, though there are a few small two-person seating areas outside that were taken. I ordered an everything bagel with lox cream cheese, capers, sprouts, red onion, and capers. We thought we could sit and eat these at a bench nearby, but our bagels were not cut through, so we took them home. In my first bite, I had a mouthful of salt and capers. Combining the Everything bagel with lox cream cheese and capers proved to be an error in judgment. The capers were the main character of the bagel sandwich and left an overwhelming taste of salt. See the attached photo of the ~90 (NINETY!) capers I decided not to eat. The lox cream cheese was very light on the lox, and a light layer was applied. The cost for this was $3.50 for the cream cheese alone. I had read reviews about the abundance of cream cheese, but that was certainly not the case here. If you order capers, ask for them on the side so you can regulate how many to put on. Also, if you want to eat your bagel on the go, be sure they cut them all the way through. Overall, it was not a great experience when you needed to perform surgery on the $8 bagel you ordered.

Shefali M.

Yelp
Went at 11:30am on a Sunday and there was no line! We did have to wait about 10 min to get the bagels. We ordered one Classic on an onion bagel which was SO good if you like lox! We also tried an egg bagel with hatch chile cream cheese. The egg bagel itself didn't have much flavor but it was the perfect texture, crunchy on the outside and super fluffy on the inside. The hatch chile cream cheese was great too! Would definitely go back.

Dylan C.

Yelp
Great bagels! I've come here a handful of times now and am always happy after my visits. Usually I almost exclusively get everything bagels, but at Boichik I've also been switching between those and the "pumperthingle" bagels, which are a pumpernickel everything. Still trying to decide my favorite and also noticed last time they have a salt & pepper bagel that I want to try! They have vegan Kite Hill cream cheese here, which is a great option to have. Their dairy cream cheeses also look good, and I just recently tried their seasonal green garlic cream cheese which was really yummy. Bagels with cream cheese will run you $4.50-$5.50 depending on your selection. I've only been here on weekday mornings and have never had long waits. The local food media has really hyped Boichik up, and it's really good and definitely a favorite of mine, but it's also comparable to a couple of my other favorite spots I think. The only thing I don't like about the store design is there's nowhere to stand inside really after ordering without being in the way and then it's hard to hear when your name is called when you're standing outside. One time I was just waiting around forever because I missed my name being called. Would be great if they could add a PA system or visual number thing or something!

Jessica H.

Yelp
A bagel packed with loooots of cream cheese! If you love cream cheese, this will satisfy your taste buds for sure! The everything bagel was pretty soft on the outside and inside as well. I was hoping for a bit of a harder/chewier exterior. The inside was bready and dense. I enjoyed the lox they used, the flavor was good. Quality seemed nice. I liked the cute floor pattern and the window- you could watch the staff make your order. Overall tasty, but a lil expensive (maybe for one of those treat your self days with a bit of splurging).

Terri M.

Yelp
The location on here is wrong. I tried changing it a couple times but yelp won't change it. It is literally right next door to CVS, which is the next little drive by Trader joes. Make sure you get in line because people will cut in front of you if you look at the menu. They are kind of pricey but the bagel I got was very flavorful and filling. I got a everything bagel, cream cheese, lox and cucumber. It was $14.50. They should maybe use numbers because they called Terri and I went up to get my sandwich and some lady took it; her name was Kerry. I let them know they gave my sandiwch to the other lady. But she came back when she realized my sandwich was heavier than what she regularly orders.

Andrew J.

Yelp
Love their lox on everything bagel and green chile cream cheese on onion bagel, that's my go-to order every single time. I've always had my orders ready in under 5 minutes, huge plus.

krys l.

Yelp
they can do no wrong, they are delicious. i am super indecisive and i always get the daily special and they are so yummy and the staff is quick and friendly. no place to eat inside but there is some outdoor seating. after a graveyard shift in the hospital this is just the meal i need before i sleep for the next couple hours haha! will continue coming here in the future

T T.

Yelp
The bagel itself deserves a 5 star review. The location and staff not so much. First time here on a Thursday morning, not busy but lots of pick ups. I could have ordered online but I still like the in person feel. The bagels are one of the best I have had and I love bagels. I wish they had bagel sandwiches at least breakfast sandwiches. They have the perfect bagel for one. I may try another location because I cannot stop thinking about them. The guy taking my order acted like he had something better to do but from the looks of the tiny front he hasn't and won't do anything just didn't want to help. It was a bit dirty and I'm not a fan of open doors with food. I should have skipped but came for a bagel.

Melita A.

Yelp
My FAAV place to get some bagels and on top of it all their service is quick and customer service, excellent. I always get the classic which is smoked salmon, chive cream cheese slapped on HELLA THICK, capers, red onions and tomatoes and I usually get it on their everything bagel. Now this bagel spot is the ONLY spot that I don't have to ask for anything extra cuz BABBYYY the way they make their sandwiches even if you just order cream cheese and a bagel is always THICKER THAN A SNICKER! They also have a variety of tasty cream cheese and bagels and their own smoke salmon and pastrami salmon which I've never tried.

Filza V.

Yelp
I came here because they had an excellent selection of vegan options (THREE vegan cream cheeses?!). I love that they use kite hill too, instead of tofutti. I got an everything bagel with vegan chive cream cheese and some veggies. It was great. I also got another pumpernickel swirl bagel with strawberry cream cheese which was also great. My only gripe was the coffee I got. It was extremely sour- almost as if it had gone bad. I had one sip and knew I couldn't drink it. I had others taste it as well and they all confirmed it had likely gone bad. I went next door to another coffee shop to get a coffee I could actually drink. Service was kind, ambience is just a stop through type of place. They have some outdoor seating but I suggest picking up and eating somewhere else.

Lindsay C.

Yelp
Woo hoo Boichick bagel by South Bay. I can't wait for their Santa Clara location to open up. Luckily this place isn't as busy as the Berkley location. Bagels here are light, fluffy and delish. The spreads are super good too, I really enjoy the hatch chile, lox spread if you like small pieces of smoked salmon spread through out, and right now the seasonal strawberry flavor. Put the strawberry on a cinnamon raisin bagel and you have dessert. I got greedy and got the classic bagel then a raisin with strawberry spread which of course I couldn't finish. I took home the raisin and strawberry and put it into the airfryer the next day for a few minutes. WOW! bagel was warm and toasty, the middle chewy with slightly melted spread. I came back the following weekend for another. All the bagels are good but I would say they take their salted bagels too seriously. I felt like I swam in the ocean after getting that one my lips were salty. This goes for the salted bagel and the pumernickel caraway salt bagel. Onion is definitely my go to or the sesame, everything, and pumpernickel. Lots of parking but also a super busy parking lot since there are lots of shops including Trader Joes in this plaza. Coffee here is meh, there is a Boba Guys and another bakery around the corner for coffee. A few limited seats outside.

Yelp
Awesome bagels!! Wow I got surprised at the prices and the quality of bagels cause it was such a good deal! I got a bagel with cream cheese and some onions and cucumber and it came out to only $5.50! I can never buy a lunch that costs less than $15 these days. It made me want to buy even more and support the business! The cream cheese is out of this world and the bagel was a perfect crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The store itself was very cute and they sold lots of cute merch!

Yelp
Came here with Cindy and Annie after playing pickleball! The line want too long thankfully since we came during post lunch rush. I like that the menu is simple but still has variety. We ended up ordering 3 things: 1) daily bagel sandwich: eggything bagel was delicious! I would get this again. 2) everything bagel with strawberry cream cheese: the strawberry cream cheese tasted really fresh - its a lighter pink probably because they don't use food coloring. 3) Bialy: not bad, but I think I prefer customizing my own bagel. Overall, would I come here again? Yah, if you like bagels!

Yelp
You can always tell how good a place is if the simple items on their menu are delicious. I stopped by here [for the first time] because I was craving a bagel on my way home. Normally I would have ordered a lox bagel aka their classic but I didnt want anything too filling. I ended up getting a cinnamon raisin bagel with cream cheese. I felt like they didn't have a lot of bagel options unlike noah's, house of bagels, or bagel street cafe. I also don't like how they don't have the bagels on display and you just pick off their menu list-it makes it harder to pick. Anyway, the amount of cream cheese they put on the bagel was CRIMINAL. I usually like a lot of cream cheese on my bagel but what they did was too much! Had to wipe the excess off with napkins. I also wish they had an indoor seating area/cafe for you to enjoy your bagel. They only had outside seating, and on a cold and rainy day, it isn't gonna work out. Would I come back here? Yes, but only because I want to try their lox sandwich.

Yelp
It's fine. I made my own bagel with sesame, lox spread, Nova Lox, and an avocado. I spent $18 on my bagel, and the cashier could feel my hesitation. It was palpable. You could feel it in the pain on my face. The delay in response time. I contemplated my decision for an agonizing 5 seconds before taking out my debit card begrudgingly. There was an insane amount of cream cheese in comparison to literally everything else in my bagel. It was so thick and creamy, it took a LOT of getting used to. Everything was decent, but $18... I can justify the price point of a lot of Bay Area items in my mind. $8 for boba? No problem. $15 for pho? Why not? But $18 for a bagel... a bagel... No. Just no. After I went here, my friends and I went to buy bagels, avocado, cream cheese, and smoked salmon and we assembled it all at home. Entire thing cost us around $4 per person, tops. Don't regret it at all. Go eat somewhere else in this plaza.

Yelp
I was definitely impressed by these celebrated bagels, particularly the soft egg-based "eggrything" bagel. I ordered two dozen for my office, and everyone raved about the quality of the bread. I ate one when I picked them up and my only disappointment was that they weren't warm (the one some freshly-baked ones are). They were definitely fresh, but just not out of the oven. The price is quite high - $3 per bagel. But they're large and exquisite, but they might not be ideal for office catering again.

Yelp
I am in love with Boichik Bagels and let me tell you why - I was skeptical at first because my sister always raved about them, but I'm lactose intolerant so I generally stayed away from cream cheese. But then I went in recently and found out they had vegan cream cheese!!!! And it's so good. FLAVOR (4.8/5): 1. GARLIC BAGEL (TOASTED) WITH VEGAN CHIVE CREAM CHEESE: This is my go-to. Texture-wise, this vegan cream cheese is the closest I've found to real cream cheese. It's not as silky, but it's still good. I've tried this bagel with lox, but I found it gets too salty and I prefer it without. SERVICE (5/5): Service was good! TAKEAWAYS: If you are lactose intolerant but love bagels... come here! It would be nice if they added more bagel flavors though - even though I'm lactose intolerant I love jalapeño cheese.
