The 18 Best Restaurants in The Heights

"Boil House is a boiled seafood machine. The tiny roadside shack churns out pound after pound of crawfish and shrimp all season long, but only from Wednesday to Sunday (or until the place sells out). Get your mudbugs boiled up mild, medium, or hot, with a simple trio of add-ons: corn, potatoes, and an absolutely huge link of pork sausage. Don’t pass up the butter-boiled shrimp and house dipping sauce, if only to give your hands a break from shucking all those tails. You can brave the drive-thru and get everything to-go. But we prefer digging into the boil bucket on the patio, the way nature intended, with a strawberry daiquiri (shot included)." - chelsea thomas, gianni greene

Google
Great place for eating crawfish outside! Mostly good sized and tasty! Big enough to extract some good claw meat. The restroom is a little unkept, but still will go back for the crawfish boil.

Google
I got crawfish, crab clusters, & shrimp w 2 corns & a sausage. My shrimp were over cooked, had a sour smell mixed w a hotdog smell. I’ve never had shrimp or a sausage taste or smell that way. I tried to eat what I could but the more I tried to the more my cousin was stopping me because she said we’re going to get sick. My cousin lives food boils & never turns down any seafood boil she didn’t even eat her food!!! I stopped took my food inside & complained about the weird things on my crawfish & the sour smell coming from my shrimp & how my sausage was undercooked while my shrimp was over cooked. From the way they were talking I knew I wasn’t getting refunded so I showed them what I was talking about w the shrimp she made an excuse as it was the sausage making that smell it’s pork sausage. I told her this isn’t the first time I’ve eaten sausage. Then I showed her the crawfish asking if they clean their crawfish before serving them they said yes. I asked what were these weird things stuck to the crawfish she said barnacles from the time of season. I’ve never seen that before in my life but let’s say she’s right, the crawfish was still dirty. We won’t be coming back. If I could add the weird sour hotdog smell coming from my over cooked shrimp & under cooked sausage I would.

If I was introducing someone to crawfish I would start here. No frills, just good ole boiled crawfish. It’s communal so it meets the experience of a traditional boil. It’s a stepping stone for crawfish newbies or even an ol g like me that just wants some freshly boiled bugs. No bibs so I used a plastic bag as a bib. No gloves either so bring your own. Ps they have a drive thru!!

Okay it's my 1st time at this spot. Heard someone who is from NOLA recommend this place when we were just at a crawfish boil a couple wks back. My nephew is a crawfish head & it's summertime so wanted to hang with him, he's 10, been a foodie who is on point with his reviews.... Okay so I ordered the 5lb special which was $39.99 included 1 corn & 2 potatoes. Got settled at table & we opened the shrimp i was like OK, the taste was good. Nephew had some and he enjoyed them too. After eating through it, was a bit salty after while. I just didn't dip them in the juice anymore. Now the crawfish, we had the mild flavor (yes I know crawfish season is done but....) They were terrible. I'm so serious. We struggled to get through those 5lbs. Together we may have eaten about 3lbs before we tapped out. My neph said T Trell I don't think I could do no more. They were dried out from the very beginning. So bland. He ate the corn, didn't finish it all. I had 1 potato & had to dip it in the shrimp juice for some type of flavor. I did enjoy the strawberry daiquiri & the shrimp, that's it. I saw the lady who took my order (Elizabeth) pass through the lobby & I softly told her about my experience, just let her see how much we tossed. I mentioned I wanted to like the place so bad but i didn't like it. I didn't want anything just to give honest feedback, just felt played after spending like $83 (including tip). She was so sweet. She mentioned the flavors besides mild were more spicy, I had to say that has nothing to do with them being juicy or flavorful. She offered to get me 3lbs to go b/c she saw what we were throwing away, at first I said no thanks we're good. Nephew said okay he'll try it, when I got home I ate a few just to taste the "difference" it was the 2nd hottest flavor and it wasn't juicy or flavorful either but they did look better than the 1st dark batch we had. ISSA big NOT going back for me‼️ I gave it an overall 3 stars for the service. I drove 17 miles from home to try it, and when I got home I just peeled the rest of the crawfish Elizabeth gave us & will use it to make some crawfish pasta. 🤷🏽‍♀️ I'd rather stick to the backyard crawfish boils where I know the taste will be official. *1st crawfish pic, original order. **2nd crawfish posted is what we tossed. ***3rd crawfish pic is what Elizabeth offered after she found out about our experience, & we took home. (Thanks for your service Ma'am, appreciated you for offering to try & make it better).

Google
love coming here! Even though I’ve moved farther away and don’t visit as often, this place still holds a special spot for me. The spicy crawfish is my absolute favorite — it’s so good it leaves my lips tingling! I always get an extra order of potatoes and corn to soak up all that delicious sauce.

Google
I would not recommend. I was repulsed by the flavor and couldn’t continue eating.I had a pound of crawfish, shrimp and crab clusters. Something was completely off with every last one. It over cooked, salty, and tasted dirty as if they didn’t clean the crawfish correctly. Tasted as if I was eating, salty pond water. Butter had a weird taste to it seasoning was full of salt and very lil actual flavor. A very big disappointment I will not be returning. It taste like food poisoning waiting to happen. Never again. 👎👎👎👎👎

Google
It was okay. I think the crawfish could have been cleaned more. The flavoring was delicious 😋 my cousin was not a fan of the piece of corn she got... 🤦🏿 she stated it tasted sour. But we still finished the crawfish and potatoes.

Google
They do not toss their crawfish in seasoning after they boil which makesthe flavor very boring and bland. Also they seemed pretty dry... lacking any liquid...probably been cooked for a long time. Sadly I found this out after my 45 minute ride to my house. I spoke to a manager and was told to order "extra juice" next time when I called to confirm if they were supposed to be seasoned or not. They were cooked decent and were nice in size.

Yelp
I came out here after seeing great reviews and reading that they do legit Louisiana style boil rather than the more common Viet-cajun style I see around Houston. It is definitely a casual, very lowkey spot that is set up for the messy nature of crawfish boils. We came around 8PM on a Friday night and it wasn't too busy so we were able to quickly order our food and start chowing down. The crawfish was SO good, it definitely brought me back to my Baton Rouge childhood and I already want to come back. The crawfish were sweet and so well flavored from being cooked in the seasoning rather than just being tossed in it. The corn, sausage, and potato we got as add-ons were also great and absorbed the spices as well. I will say, they can run out of crawfish and it seemed to happen around 8:30 (so we got some of the last few pounds that night). However, if you get here and get some crawfish, you will not be disappointed!

Yelp
My partner and I stopped in to try their crawfish and it was quite tasty. We went safe and tried the mild seasoning, which allowed the natural flavor of the crawfish to shine through. I want to go back to try a bit more spice and also the dipping sauce. Pricing is very reasonable (approx 34 dollars for 2 people including a tip) and you get all of the standard fixings (2 corn, 2 potatoes, a huge sausage link, and 2lbs of crawfish). They even have a drive thru if you're in a hurry and want to take the boil home to share. Inside are several large tables with plenty of paper towel, buckets for the discarded shells, and wet naps. It's not a fancy place, but it has a comfortable vibe and was more than enough space even when bustling with other patrons. Check out Boil House if you want to experience the Louisiana style boil in Houston!

Yelp
When it's crawfish season, you better swing by. They have 3 spice options, and you get your choice of crawfish by the lb or by platter (fixed sizes with corn and potatoes). We went with the middle spice option and the smaller, and it was perfect for two. Service was kind and super quick.

Yelp
One of the top 5 best crawfish places in Houston. I was recommended this place and it didn't disappoint. Seating is limited and it's outdoors really. Great flavors; should have gotten more. Will return. Service was really good and staff was nice

Yelp
March brought forth a dire need for resurrection as I stumbled, hungover and hopeless, into this haven of crustacean delights. Despite the desolate state of the 2024 crawfish season, this establishment defied the odds and dished out a savory salvation. Opting for 3 lbs of their medium heat crawfish, I braced myself for a flavor-packed journey, fortified by their surprisingly reasonable pricing - a glimmer of hope in an otherwise bleak landscape. With each succulent bite, a chorus of Cajun spices sang on my palate, delivering a kick that jolted me back to life with morbidly humorous precision. Amidst the chaos of my hangover, I found solace in the sheer audacity of flavor offered by this culinary sanctuary. In a year rife with disappointments, this place emerged as a beacon of gastronomic greatness, reminding me that even in the darkest times, the spirit of Cajun cuisine prevails. With each visit, I am greeted not only by exceptional flavors but also by a sense of camaraderie - a shared understanding that sometimes, laughter and crawfish are the best remedies for life's absurdities. If you find yourself in need of a pick-me-up or simply craving a taste of Cajun flair, look no further - this establishment is a must-visit, offering a delicious reprieve from the mundane and a chance to indulge in a little morbid humor along the way.

Yelp
I've been here a couple of times now since discovering boil house, mainly cause of convenience as it's not the cheapest boil out here but I can tell the quality is good. I don't eat in, I always pick up my food so I can't speak to the inside eating experience. It's a smaller space but still nice looking. I will typically go through the drive through. I like that when calling an order in, they ask for the pick up time so they make it fresh for you and it's not sitting this. Very nice touch This is apparently Louisiana style boil so you won't find that heavy butter style sauce (which I also love) and the menu is very streamlined. Shrimp, crawfish, crabs and a couple of the standard sides. I personally go for the Dungeness crab and I haven't tried the snow crab here but I have tried the other proteins. During crawfish season, the crawfish were fat, sweet, and so good. Some of the best I've tried. This was my first time having a boil with sauces this size but I think the quality of their seafood sings. Make sure you get the butter, it's not just melted down, I think it's been clarified in such a way it picks up nice toasty notes, almost like a brown butter. Over all, this isn't the cheapest boil around but if you're in the area, it's a solid boil with good food and nice touches

Nila M.

Yelp
Not sure what happened but this place used to be my go to crawfish. Unfortunately this time the crawfish wasn't cleaned and purged, crab wasn't of decent quality, and the restrooms were beyond dirty and smelled. Maybe the owner was away but he definitely needs to return ASAP.

Yelp
If it's crawfish season then Boil House is the place to be ! The most important part: Their crawfish are perfection. I heard they actually bring them from Louisiana which is awesome. While the bag has a mix, they're generally a really good size and you may even get some big ones that have claws worth digging into as well! The flavor is perfection too ! More food stuff to note: You do need to add any potatoes or corn with your order as an extra, but it's definitely worth it and don't forget ! Seating: The place is pretty small with counter service, so you will have to go inside to order anything. Inside there's a couple of tables. It's best to opt for sitting outside (though that does fill up quickly too). There's sort of bar like seating along the railing, or join a group at one of the long tables and make friends with others. As far as service - you do order inside and then your name/number is called for you to go get it. You also have to cleanup after yourself. Your order is prepared pretty quickly ! Parking: It seems to be mostly street parking. Drive thru: Want your order to go? Get in line at the drive through and take some home !

Yelp
Because it was my first time here and crayfish prices have increased...and I'm on a budget, I got 1lb of mild flavored crayfish, two potatoes, and a corn. I love and anticipated being offered varying flavors for my dish, but they only had 1 flavor but levels of intensity. Thought disappointed by that, I must say the quality of the food was good. I would definitely go back to this place. The corn was sweet, and oh, how I adore sweet corn. The potatoes were small and a bit harder than I would like, but they were still a good boil. The service was quick and friendly. The staff is humble and helpful. You will have to be strategic and fast concerning seating because it is limited, or get your order to go and enjoy it in your comfort. I, unfortunately, inhale my food before I think k about taking pics, but I'm working on it! Get your keys and head on over!

Yelp
Sometimes, you want straight up Louisiana crawfish boil. Not Louisiana "style", or cajun-ish. No dusting the mud bugs after boiling, no pastes or garlic butter (though I do sometimes enjoy these types too). I mean like they been doing on the bayous for decades. That's Boil House. They know how to season the boil, and to let the seasonings penetrate in during the soak. Spices hit you from tail to head, because if you're eating these right, there will be no head left unsucked. The potatoes and corn is always a good accompaniment, but if you want another nod to bayous, get the button mushrooms too. You're welcome. Staff is always nice and friendly. Can't wait for crawfish season again!
google avatar

Lorraine I.

Yelp
The staffs here are the reason I give 5stars They are really nice and friendly The season is off for the seafood Plus the sauce was not balanced well and salty Love their vibe though Like the picture hanging on the wall Made me miss my school time so much
google avatar

Yelp
I understand why people rave about boil house crawfish! Feels like classic southern crawfish boil food. Crawfish is $8 per lb, shrimp is $17 per lb. Paid about $50 for 2 lb crawfish, 1 lb shrimp, 2 potatoes, 2 corns, 1/3 lb sausage. Got the crawfish mild spice level, which was a nice amount of spice without burning my mouth. Savory without being overly salty. Shrimp were great, not too buttery or salty, also not spicy. Sausage is very fatty and savory, felt indulgent to eat. Corn soaked up the spice a lot so that was the hardest to eat just because it burned. Potatoes were standard boil potatoes. Food comes out really fast after you order. They have a drive through, which is such a great option, especially since the place itself is not that big.
google avatar

Jene'e G.

Yelp
I'm back again to say boil house never disappoints. I went to crafty crab and a few more spots (they're not close in comparison), but when I ate their crawfish they all were pregnant with red eggs!! I never had that problem in my life I was traumatized, but I had to go to boil house all the flavor is inside not on top and it's the closest you get to Louisiana crawfish. 10/10 Always Recommend !!! I'll be back again later on lol
google avatar

Tamieka B.

Yelp
Best crawfish in Houston...tastes like authentic Louisiana boil. Crawfish were a nice size...They open for only a few hrs a day (first come first serve). You have the option to eat inside or outside. Place is clean, there is one restroom. Service is really quick. They have margaritas as well; original and strawberry. We will definitely be back to try the crab and shrimp:) Enter freely and hurry before they run out ...
google avatar

Diamond M.

Yelp
If you're considering going, just go you will not be disappointed. The service is great and your food will come out fast. There's even a drive thru. Crawfish is made real New Orleans style- meaning the seasoning was in the pot and not thrown on top of the crawfish with garlic butter at the last min. Everything is flavorful and the spice is hitting. Crawfish are a good size and nothing is overcooked (corn/potatoes).
google avatar

Han C.

Yelp
Traditional boil (not Viet cajun style), but the crawfish was poppin'. $10/lb, fat and sweet little bugs for the eating. We also grabbed a pound of shrimp ($18/lb) which was headless but well cleaned, but the shrimp was overcooked and dry. Recommend sticking to the mudbugs for finger licking satisfaction. The medium spice level was enough for me, but my Indian galpal wanted the lip sweller level. She's on her own for that one :) Super casual setup, order at the counter, grab your buckets when your name is called, grab a seat outside or some of the tables inside, put your buckets up before you go. Ez pz.

Yelp
Another good Louisiana homestyle crawfish boil. Highly recommend this spot can't go wrong with anything you order on the menu.

Normal G.

Yelp
The worst boil i've ever had i suggest bb's or captain crawfish. Seasoning made it sooo salty and even before seasoning it was soooo bland. Also way more over priced than the ones i named and it's soooo bad I really can't stress that enough i seen all these good reviews so i decided to try it but I really regret it and should've just stuck with my regulars instead of trying something new.
google avatar

Dara A.

Yelp
Definitely Louisiana style and reminds me of Baton Rouge! Can't wait for the season to officially start and the sizes get back to the right size. Def a 10/10! You just choose your spice level.
google avatar

Yayo M.

Yelp
Probably my Favorite most Authentic Louisiana style Crawfish in Houston; they are only open during crawfish season so i try to eat them as much as possible lol before they close at end of season. I usually get medium which is a nice spice with amount of heat and flavor (hot is for pro spice eaters lol) The shrimp only comes in medium which is Perfect. They having dipping, butter, seasoning (all the fixings you need if u want to add a lil extra zaz) i prefer not to because they flavor is on Point.

Keithan O.

Yelp
I've been here multiple times. Crawfish was always good! Great amount of spice and quick service.
google avatar

Nicki I.

Yelp
By far the best crawfish in Houston if you're searching for authentic Louisiana crawfish. I'll be here every crawfish season. Service is always great too!
google avatar

Jonquil J.

Yelp
The boiled crawfish was an 8 out of 10 for me and that coming from me is pretty dang on good I'm a hard critic when it comes to crawfish. Born and raised in the south Lafayette, La to be exact we cook good ole southern and creole food and since moving here it hasn't been easy to find that same great taste and flavor. Boil house had it though it reminded me of back home I'm thinking they maybe from Louisiana they had a lot of Louisiana items hanging on the walls and they also serve king cake when in season that was so good to see. The crawfish was flavorful my reason for the 4 stars we had the first batch of crawfish for the day and some of mines was gritty like it was washed/cleaned properly and I hate when I get crawfish like that. The good thing they all wasn't liked that I did go back and get another one pound and that batch was completely cleaned no grittiness at all. They staff were friendly and accommodating if I had to complain it would be the building itself it's so small inside they do have outside seating but the inside is so limited. And parking was not good either again limited but the food was good would I go back yes I would.
google avatar

Brandon M.

Yelp
I'm a native from New Orleans and this is honestly the best crawfish in Texas I have had this far. No surprise there because the owners are actually from Louisiana! 10/10 great atmosphere and pricing. I'll definitely be back
google avatar

Helen B.

Yelp
THE BEST BOILED CRAWFISH in The Heights. They're big, spiced properly and perfect Cajun-Style crawfish. Mushrooms A MUST!!! No others come close to Boil House mushrooms!!!! Great food. Great service. Clean. It's a small space inside and out w a drive-through. You'll likely have to park down the street. You won't find cheap here. I haven't found them here less than $10/lb. I get "cheap thrills" elsewhere but this LA Girl knows where to get THE BEST in the neighborhood.

Courtney M.

Yelp
Fantastic fresh shrimp, crab, and crawfish that's well seasoned with spice choices. Casual atmosphere is nice but seating is limited. Will definitely go back.
google avatar

Amanda T.

Yelp
This did my little NOLA heart so much good! The crawfish were on point. Really decent size! We went through 10lbs in no time. It was nice to sit outside and enjoy that with a daiquiri! The service was great and the staff were totally accommodating! It really was nice to not have my crawfish covered in sauce! It was just the right amount of flavor and nose running shenanigans to kick off crawfish season
google avatar

Maria E.

Yelp
This is a no-frills crawfish joint. They have a small menu and no fancy sauces. However, the service is fast and the food is good. Personally, I prefer spots with more options and sauces (likely because I'm not a huge crawfish fan). However, I enjoyed my meal here and appreciated their approach. It was pretty much either crawfish or shrimp. We got both. You couldn't really customize much other than the spice levels and the add-ons. The add-ons were all delicious. Highly recommend adding the sausage -- it was great. Corn, potatoes, mushrooms -- all tasty. The service is lightning fast. We ordered, sat back down, and our order was ready. Limited seating. Patio seating is on long benches with shared tables so you have to sit in close proximity to strangers. A few parking spots available on the side. Street parking otherwise.
google avatar

Nicole W.

Yelp
The most authentic Louisiana crawfish in Houston, hands down. I've been several other places during crawfish season and while they can curb my crawfish craving, none of them are like the good down home authentic crawfish I'm used to getting while back in Louisiana. Boil house is simple, no frills, and focuses just on doing things the Louisiana way. I really appreciate that. Not a lot of seating so be friendly and join another group sitting at one of the picnic tables outside!
google avatar

Veronica H.

Yelp
Had a taste for some crawfish, but got so much more! Wow! The crab legs, shrimp and crawfish were so good! They were seasoned well. Potatoes were tasty as well. The service was awesome!
google avatar

Stephanie D.

Yelp
Great Cajun style crawfish made my real New Orleans pros! Spice level was on point, size on point, fixins on point. The mushrooms come with a decent serving enough for two. We would have liked some garlic bulbs offered. Great friendly staff, nice seating indoor and out. They usually sell out before closing time! Call ahead or get there early

Alisa B.

Yelp
Super casual, great to walk to if you live in the neighborhood. Love the outdoor seating. The boils are seasoned authentic Louisiana style and with corn and potatoes in the boil. I don't eat crawfish much so can't say what it's like but the shrimp boil is great. The crabs are pretty good, I've had much worse at other Texas joints. I don't know if they ever serve blue crab but I'd love it if they did!
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing!!! Best spot in Houston!! Definitely excited for 2023 vibes with the Boil House Fam

Ky'esha N.

Yelp
I've been to the place more times than I can remember, my favorite place for crawfish now. It's possible my first experience was an outlier because I've had nothing but great food and service since! The ambiance is always great and the staff are so professional.

Keani T.

Yelp
Boil House is my new go-to crawfish spot in the Houston area. If you're looking for an authentic Louisiana crawfish boil taste, this is the place.
google avatar

Liz N.

Yelp
Love this place! We've been coming for years now, but today was the first time we've eaten there since Covid. We got the 5 lb combo which comes with 1 corn and 2 potatoes, so we added another corn to the mix. We also ordered a side of mushrooms. It's just the right amount of spice. The crawfish today were on the smaller side, so I'm hoping as crawfish season progresses they will get bigger. Great service, great food and beer! There are some designated parking spots or you can park further down the street.
google avatar

Ashley L.

Yelp
This is my absolute favorite place for crawfish omg . They are huge , juicy and flavorful. Your order is out within 5 minutes i kid you not they are so fast ! The place is small but people are nice and we share tables. I love love love the boil house team i bring all my friends
google avatar

Yelp
Got the lip burning spice level crawfish and it was so salty we couldn't finish more than 2 pounds.

Yelp
Now THIS is how Cajun crawfish is done! Boil House does not have the typical Houston eatery atmosphere--especially for one in the Heights. They don't bother with cutesy lights hanging from the ceiling or Bohemian art pieces. There's no oddly placed statue of some random, little known Houston figure randomly placed on the patio. No, this is a Louisiana boil house, and those of us who are from or have lived in Louisiana know what that means and the expectations that come with it. Give me Cajun boiled crawfish--which means just throw the bugs in your boil, drain them and give 'em to me. Houston is awash in Asian boiled seafood spots. While we've come to appreciate their approach with goopy, garlicky, citrusy sauces, we do miss true Cajun boiled crawfish. The only thing Boil House mimics from that style is offering spice levels. In Louisiana, you get 'em however they come out that day. But hey, we're good with this. Spicy please. The patio is just a place to park your ass and eat dem bugs. Again, no flair or pretense, which is what a boil house is supposed to offer.

Yelp
OMG I lost my virginity here. I am no longer a crawfish virgin. I met two Yelp superstars here for lunch. James R and Alex L. Two seasoned veteran yelpers/ professionals on crawfish consumption. Normally most of the crawfish places usually have other seafood options available such as fried Catfish and that was my intention but upon looking through the menu I noticed that there was no other item besides the crawfish. We ended up getting 8 to9 pounds of crawfish. They brought out the crawfish within 15 minutes along with potatoes and corn and placed it on our table. I initially was just staring at the crawfish as James and Alex were dissecting through the critters. The moment of truth Came as I took my first crawfish and attempted to break thru the critter. A bunch of yellow gooey stuff oozed out and other liquids that I can't describe, And then I made my way to the meat. A nickel sized amount. I felt like the punishment didnt justify the crime. The ratio of consumption was 3 to1 like James and Alex were Eating 3 while I would struggle thru my 1. Nonetheless I had a great time with the company of my yelpies. The crawfish itself was very bland as each one of us was asking the other of whether we could taste the spice. We got the spicy version but clearly this crawfish was lacking seasoning and spice, and our guess was that we probably got a mild version as their level of spices were mild medium and spicy. If you look through my photo you can so tell that the crawfish doesn't have that redness that comes from the spicy marination. After finishing our crawfish one could easily see the difference between the carcass leftover by the pros versus the rookie here!! If I indulge in these critters again it will definitely have to be at a different spot.

Yelp
Live two blocks away and always wanted to try this place. The large crowds are for a reason. Closest I've tasted to New Orleans style crawfish in Houston. I'm from New Orleans and have been in Houston a decade. One bite was nostalgic. Place is small so my have to share a table with strangers. Vibe is cool though.

Yelp
Crawfish is always amazing a true example of seasoning the water without all the seasoning top. The staff makes you feel at home when you walk in!

Yelp
Very nice place, with tasty Cajun crawfish. The restaurant has a small outdoor patio where you can enjoy your crawfish. Very chill place, good vibes, good people. I got the spicy, and it has a kick. Yummy, good sized. Also, they have a drive thru!!! It's awesome.

Yelp
According to my native NOLA friends this is the way you do crawfish. I can't agree more. This is VERY simple, you make your boil to how spicy you want it then you drop in your crawfish, corn, and potatoes. This is simply good crawfish. Theres no fancy sauces to go on top but you don't need it because the crawfish is good on it's own already. They do have a house dipping sauce if you like. The staff is friendly, their frozen daquiri is definitely the way to go!

Yelp
I lived in New Orleans for 6 years and this tastes exactly like NOLA/Louisiana crawfish. The owners are from Louisiana and are very likable and awesome. The customer service and vibes are just as amazing as the crawfish. I'm not a fan of most crawfish in Texas (adding dry seasoning after the boiling process) so Boil House is my go to!

Yelp
I'm so excited to find this place. They came highly recommended from another "Louisianian" that relocated to Houston. I gave up the search to find some authentic flavored Louisiana crawfish in Houston but oh boy! This place is amazing. They have a drive up window or you can sit and dine in. They offer various package deals that includes corn and potatoes. I got 5 lbs and it was just enough. They also allow you to choose your heat level. Then to top it off ,you can order boiled shrimp and other sides like mushrooms. The frozen Margarita was strong! Plus they give you the option to add a shot. The customer service was great... they patiently waited on each customer. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Review #300 Rated one of the top crawfish joints in town. Thank you to my friend who introduced me to ACTUAL LOUISIANA boiled CRAWFISH! What is actual Louisiana crawfish? Well it isn't boil the crawfish, throw the crawfish in cooler and then throw down the seasoning, then shake. NO - You boil the crawfish IN the seasoning. This is exactly the method at Boil House. During Mardi Gras season they sell King Cake, I am curious how legit it is maybe next season I will have to try it. I am a sucker for a good king cake (My parents met at Tulane and New Orleans has always been my second home). I met the owner, Wayne who is from Kenner, LA (go pull out a map). Nice guy! He was working the cash register. Gotta love an owner who is working hard 1) Drive thu if you want food to go. 2)SMALL parking lot, however free side street parking. 3) Get in line and order what you want. One pound is 7.99 (March 2019) corn and potatoes cost extra only IF you are ordering under 5 lbs. 4) Get your crawfish mild, medium or spicy. 4) I hear it used to be BYOB. Now they serve beer and wine. Bottled water and sodas will cost you a couple dollars. 5) Went on a Sunday afternoon and it was crowded but seats were easy to grab. Folks eat fairly quickly then go. 6) Indoor and outdoor seating. 7) I WILL be back!

Yelp
The flavor was great...they taste just like Louisiana crawfish but they were extremely small. Lots of smashed crawfish, paws, and heads. They also had lots of hollow crawfish which I hadn't seen before....really curious to know how that happens. Extremely disappointed after paying $48 for 5 lbs and maybe only really getting 3 after seeing how much of the crawfish was a total loss. Not sure I'll be back again. Regretting not just taking a trip home to Louisiana.

Yelp
Great crawfish. Small seating area but I went when they first opened and was able to select seat. Great food and flavor.
