Went for a baby shower at event center. Food was amazing, room was good size! Everything was great and fun!

Home-cooked style meals with rich flavors and hearty portions. Definitely a go-to spot for breakfast.

Food poisoning from t-bone a la mexicana. Told the manager it tasted bad. He wanted to charge me 50%. I had one bite and two more that I spit out. He said I should have said something sooner, like that would make the meat good or something? Ended up at Laredo medical center. Still left a 20% tip because it's not the waitresses fault.

Google recommended this establishment as a "bakery" more than a cafe, but upon researching, I discovered it is also a diner with a focus on breakfast. Upon entering, we were enthusiastically greeted by the staff and then we were sat by an excellent server who answered our questions. The establishment was clean and well illuminated. We ordered, received what we wanted promptly and our coffee was refilled promptly. The food was excellent in that was not heavy or greasy. Portions were excellent vs. price. However... I could not rate this 5 stars because the music was WAY too loud and the toilet facilities were not on standard with the rest of the establishment. Also, I ordered a pumpkin empanada from the bakery, which was powerfully mediocre, with an unloved pumpkin paste surrounded by a tasteless bread.

Best pancakes on the planet!!! A must try place if you’re visiting! Get the pancakes they are so fluffy and tastes like cake.

We visited for brunch on a Saturday, and ordered the Avocado Toast, Chilaquile Tacos, and Barbacoa Plate. It was really busy, but the wait was only about 3 minutes. The staff was also very cool despite the lunch rush. We were briefly served plates that weren't ours, but again our correct order was brought over promptly with about 3 minutes. I enjoyed my plate of Barbacoa. It was well served, and the beans were on point. The Barbacoa, egg, and potatoes were a bit bland, but I think this is on purpose so you can salt to your taste. The tables have salt and pepper at the ready. Oh, and the salsa is good without being too spicy. The Chilaquile Tacos were probably the tastiest, but it was a tossup between that and the avocado toast. We ordered the toast for our daughter, and it was loaded with bacon, tomato, and cheese. It was awesome. I think I could order two of those and be satisfied. We paid a little under $40 before tip, so a pretty solid value.

First visit was lovely. Prompt seating and ordering. Food was spot on and tasty. Loved the special of the day. Generous portions. We went for lunch and it was Carly busy but our server was mindful of all his customers and attentive. Great expeience.

I ordered a blta. There was more than enough bacon and avocado on my sandwich. It made it feel like you were actually eating a huge sandwich. Overall, the service was good and the ambience made you feel like you were eating in a diner. My overall experience was really good here.

Arrived at Collins to have Marianna. The marranito was soft and flavorful; the roasted pecan was flaky and very flavorful; the pecan Carmel cookie was tender and moist and lastly the Semita pumpkin empanada was flaky and merged flavors made it a perfect afternoon delight

I was stoked when they opened the new location, on N. Mcpherson, but was sadly disappointed...Do yourself a favor and skip it and go to El Taquito Adan! WAAAYYY better food, service and pricing!! There or La Mies, also...

The food was okay, I ordered the Mexican plate it consisted of 2- crispy tacos (they were stale ) & 2- enchiladas, my kiddo got the Berry Green Chicken salad, she liked it. My father's T-bone steak was okay & was served half of a baked potato ‍, my mother's chicken poblano looked okay. The service was good, a bit pricey for sub par food, it was a clean and well lit restaurant.

Coffee & Chilaquiles Bolillos: corn tortilla, mex salsa, sliced hotdog, topped with white cheese. Let's just say I won't go back for breakfast :( it was extremely Dry!!! I'm not done yet. Since sweets are their specialty, I'm going to try their sweet bread too. Looks very pretty so hopefully they taste good. Place looks very pretty on the outside. The inside is not. Basic service and regular coffee nothing special about it. Will update a new review for sweet bread later!

First time here and the food was very good. There were a lot of people for a Saturday morning breakfast so be prepared to wait for a table and your food. My choice was simple but tasted great. My wife loved her large plate too and had plenty to take home afterwards.

Good food, love the super torta and fideo soup. Good pastries nn coffee too. Friendly staff and fast service.

The Mexican Hot Chocolate was the best. Learning to find Laredos hidden gems!! If you traveling in this area, it's a great place to come stop and relax.

We noticed Bolillos on our way home and decided to stop to see if they were open (it was pretty late). They invited us in and offered us to sit. We wanted to try it out so we ordered a quick bite. We weren't there long enough to get the full experience but the service was great and the inside was super cute! We'll definitely be back soon!

Found a hair on my chilaquiles. Cold food, but great concha tostada but they take way too long.

So I went here with some work colleagues earlier this week. Let me first start off by saying don't even look at the pastry department as soon as you walk in or else you won't move on towards the entrees. I had one of the lunch specials, the chicken poblano. All I can really say about the chicken and the pasta is, if there were a glimpse into culinary heaven, or chefs to cook for the good Lord, this would be one of the delicacies on his menu.

Whether breakfast or lunch. Food is great and the staff is friendly. For lunch they always give you a small bowl of fideo soup for free, great way to get your meal started.

My food was cold and when requested if they could heat it up, it never came back. Waiter forgot about my order when asked him where my food was he went to cheek and said they are just making you a new order after 20 min had passed since I sent back my cold plate. To which I responded thank you but cancel my order need to go back to work. Giving them the 2 star and only cause my friends plate was good and I eat her fries. When I stood up to pay the bill they were charging me for both meals. When I explained to the cashier what happen she smile and found it funny that had happened and joked about" I guess I should not charge you then". Then she Smiled again and said o will thank you and sorry with a big Grin on her face. Not good What happen to bolillos it use to have great food and amazing service now it's for the dumps sad. OMG!!! Such a cute place!! Food was incredible had also ordered a small tlapeno soup(chicken tortilla) but didnt photograph it lol once i realized i was halfway done the bowl. The cilantro shrimp salad was a huge serving. Service is fantastic. Oh and the pastries ooolala.

Waiting time was less that 10 min and food was great. After you can have a fresh sweet bread. 10/10

Hoping for a better dish next time. Today I had the trio salad with a wedge. The trio selection included a wedge but salad was actually chopped. Not a wedge at all. I also don't appreciate the cilantro dressing they replace as opposed to the traditional blue cheese dressing for a wedge salad. Chicken salad was forgettable, tuna salad was about a 2 . I also tried the bollio sampler and it was okay. I would've enjoyed them a bit more toasted & topping served hot. It was a bit cooled down. Fidel soup was yummy (how can you screw that up). I will add that my friend ordered the tacos callejeros & said they were very good. I'm hoping to go back again & order the milanesa which they were out of today. Restaurant is clean, great atmosphere and good service.

Super salty food! I ordered variety enchiladas, to say the least all tasted the same. The beans tasted old & rice was drowning in cumin. My husband ordered the mexican burger. The fajita meat tasted stale & over use of salt. The service is slow & no one came to our table to see if we needed anything..I did voice my concerns & their response thats the way the cook makes it. I wanted dessert, NO! There was so many flys in case where pastries were.

Food was cold/not good and made me sick, threw up twice. Service was quick but the table spacing is awkward, you're practically shoulder to shoulder w the next table's guests.

I was humiliated by staff and one of the owners. They accused me of not paying my bill the day before . It was done in front of everyone there. Till this day I think I should have called the police instead I just left. I had paid cash and asked them to look at the video they wouldn't listen. Not even one star worth

I love this yummy place. Always visit when we are in town. I like their spin using Bolillos. I'm all about their chorizo and papas. Great for kids and large groups.

I had some breakfast plate and it lacked flavor, the service was bad, the whole experience was crappy.

After a very unfortunate lunch experience yesterday. I was contacted by the owner Amanda. Her quick and courteous response was quite a surprise. She asked our order and it was ready today at noon. The staff was apologetic and professional. I am thankful for incredible service. Thank you, the food is incredible. We shall be returning to this location. Thank you

The tlapeno soup and the fidello were super duper salty.

I'm not a bread fan but these were WOW!! Soft, buttery, delicious, I will definitely want to come again for breakfast when I visit Laredo!! Love the outdoor patio, great for breakfast dates. Service was okay. He kept forgetting what I asked for, he may have been new. It's a bakery as well, unfortunely not impressed, I've had better pan de dulce.

Nice and clean restaurant excellent service and delicious food...very busy for breakfast but fast service we try machacado and my husband eat in he bolillo with chicharrón and an other with egg and both are good at we expect and the location is easy to find we'll come back soon and recommend this place to friends and family

Amazing!!! My wife and I love this place. Great breakfast and lunch and dinner. The customer service is over the top which is in line with most of what you get all around town. Soups are more than meets the eye and quantity and pricing is perfect!

I expected much better Mexican sweet bread than I what I bought here. We were in Laredo for a visit and thought we would find much better pan dulce than what we had experienced in San Antonio and Austin. Wrong! The pan dulce was dry and tasteless and a big disappointment. We did not try the food,so I can't yelp either way about that. The service was marginal,and could use more smiling faces at the bakery.

Bolillos Cafe North is operated in horrible sanitary conditions! They have a roach infestation...there has been times when roaches are floating in the "Aguas frescas", the food and dishes are swarmed by nats and other bugs. The salsa and fideo is left open and occasionally bugs do get into the pot, leaving them to be stirred in and poured into your complementary bowl of fideo. The salsa that does not get used is stored away for the next day and so on until it is finished. The utensils often fall on the floor and are picked up and bagged for you to use. Foods are often not kept at proper temperatures to be served or preserved for later. Bolillos staff is also unprofessional and rude for the exception of a few. P.S save yourself and go to Lolita's bistro

This was my first time here. I got the wedge salad and a couple of cookies. The wedge salad was great! This was the first time I've had cilantro dressing. I wasn't quite sure how it would taste but it was amazing. It was packed full of fresh cilantro flavor that went perfectly with a nice big piece of wedge. The piece of garlic bread that came with it was pretty ordinary but it was nice to use to scoop up sauce. I would have given this restaurant 4 stars had it not been for the poor service. The cashier was very unfriendly and not helpful at all. She couldn't make it more clearer that I was wasting her time with my order.

Very good tortas and enchiladas callejeras. Service is not very consistent though. Think it's awesome that they allow local artist to hang their paintings for sale. Sucks the bakery is integrated, how do you leave without eating some sweet Mexican bread!

Breakfast is very good at Bolillos. I like their huevos rancheros. They are always prepared fresh and served hot. Lunch is usually packed, so go early. I also like their on site bakery. This allows for coffee and sweets in the evening or an after movies spot.

The breakfast bolillos are very delicious. If you want to try something different other than just tacos this is the place to go. There are so many different types of bolillos to try and I recommend that you try this place out. Very comfortable environment and customer service is great. They also have good tasting tacos just in case your not in the mood for the bolillo.

Been to this place several times and the food has always been really good.. last night wasn't the case.. the service was not up to speed, had a party of 5 and our drinks went dry several times. I usually like having the poblano chicken but the mini bowl of fideo was really good I thought about getting a bigger bowl. . But that was a huge mistake .. the fideo was soft and over cooked.. maybe this was one of those nights.. I will be back in a few days maybe the service will have improved .

Today I had the fajita tacos which were way overcooked and were very crunchy though I still ate them since I was very hungry. the service was not so good either, our waitress brought us drinks, took our order and never returned after that. Will return in the near future with better expectations from the kitchen and service.

Menu choices are great and delicious. Both breakfast and lunch are good and never disappoint my appetite. I try to bring the family as often as I can since it's the closest thing to have from a Mexican style restaurant.

This place started out great when it first opened a couple of years back but, like many places in Laredo they began slacking off. At first, great food and customer service, my family and I would drop by at least 3-4 times a month. On my last visit a bit over a year ago I stopped by for breakfast and ordered their Potato and Chorizo breakfast plate. Our order took a bit longer than usual which is tolerable since it was a busy morning. When my order arrived the potatoes and chorizo were drenched in a pool of oil/grease. I understand that chorizo is known in part for that characteristic however it was more than the usual. I decided to remove some of the potatoes and chorizo to another side of the plate to try and eat around it and had a taste. Unfortunately, it was so foul that my stomach turned. I asked for the manager and informed her of the situation. She quickly asked if I wanted them to bring me some thing else or if I wanted it redone. Unfortunately, the experience had already upset my stomach and I refused. The item was removed from my ticket but, haven't been back since. Will try and stop by once more and give this place another try and hope my experience is a lot more pleasant.

I had their Torta de Ternera, yum! They have an on site pastry shop, fast service and friendly.

Food is delicious. Ambiance is exquisite, arguably one of the best breakfast in town! Staff and management is very friendly. And to top it off authentic Mexican postres with a cafesito was on point.

It was a good place to eat. However, it was too simple. I would rather eat at another restaurant for a really good meal. Overall, they were nice but a bit slow.

I have to say I have been here several times and the food is not bad. For the most part it's tasty for a Mexican breakfast but the service is SO TERRIBLE that the food can't even help this review. This time I couldn't take it and had to write a review! They got our order wrong...TWICE, they brought everyone's food out at different times or part of the food without napkins/ silverware or the condiments so you had to wait, meaning I had the pleasure to enjoy a partially COLD breakfast! The place was also very very dirty! You can see speckles of filth on the walls. The one thing that's been consistent at this place is the lack of training for employees which equals terrible service and a dirty restaurant! Get it together Bolillos!!! I wish Lolita's Bistro next door opened earlier for breakfast on the weekend!

in love with their enchiladas callejeras!! This is an authentic mexican food restaurant so don't expect this tex-mex deal! They give you some complimentary fideo soup as an appetizer which is pretty unique! They also have cake land right next to them so thats always a plus!

Great food...poor service. Don't expect to see your waitress after you get your food. Same thing every time.
