Bolivar Coffee

Remarkable coffee shop/ cafe on the corner of the east west connector and S. Cobb Dr. The Tostada de avocado is intoxicatingly good. You must get the Dulce de leche alfajor. Actually, get some to take home! This is a precious café and a great place to enjoy a wonderful cup of coffee with a friend or loved one. This is our new home for whole bean coffee. Highly recommended

We went early in the morning. It was already busy which meant this place is super good. We got coffee and Cassava Breakfast Arepa and it was so perfect and yummy. We loved the presentation and of course the homemade flavor. They offer a variety of breakfast sandwiches and hot/cold drinks. The music can be too loud, and some people will have to shout to have a conversation, so the atmosphere can be overwhelming at times. Service was great and quick.

This is the coffee shop all other coffee shops should aspire to be. The Americano was perfect!!! The Pandebono was so unique and delicious and the decor was warm and relaxing. Service was also excellent.

I love Bolivar Coffee. My drinks come out consistently good. The staff is always friendly and the baked goods are great. The one time my order was messed up (diary milk instead of almond milk) the staff member immediately fixed it and even offered me a free desert afterwards. The cafe is welcoming and well decorated. I highly recommend.

Visiting Bolivar Coffee on a Friday evening felt relaxing. The Barista was so welcoming. She made sure our beverages are made to perfection ‘extra hot’ as requested. Exploring coffee shops is a hobby I have always enjoyed and Bolivar made it to my top favorite. The Dulce De Leche Alfajor and Mom’s Cake are a hit✌️ Reasonably priced, quiet atmosphere, and a well lit place. Perfect for a family date.

When I visit a coffee shop for the first time, I order an espresso, and a black coffee to experience the quality of the coffee used and crafting. Bolivar is an absolute YES. The coffee and ingredients are quality, the atmosphere is beautiful and the service is genuine. Having visited multiple times now, sometimes I walk in and it feels like I've walked into gathering in my own family's living room. Thank you Bolivar for loving coffee. It shows.

Excellent coffee. I'm not a coffee fan and I enjoyed this coffee. Food was very good with some unique offerings. Service was excellent. People were very nice and offered. Good suggestions. The entire ambiance was very good and exceptionally cool. Coffee was made quickly. The food took a little longer than expected. Prices are a little high but worth it for the occasional visit. We will definitely be back.

Out of town and a friend highly recommend this place. Coffee was amazing, sandwiches are flavorful, and finished it off with a muffin. Warm cozy place to do some work and have a chat. Will come again!

Worth a stop in! This was my second visit to Bolivar. The cafe is always busy - in the most wonderful way. People teleworking, chatting, making jewelry, having pastries with little ones ... what a GEM in Smyrna! I've only had their coffee - DELICIOUS - but the pastries look enticing. They also have an assortment of other drinks and small plates. If you're in the area - or even if you're not - stop in! You won't be disappointed. There is ample parking and a few other restaurants in close proximity just in case you decide to dine elsewhere.

Summary: Cozy Colombian café with quick morning service and mid drinks, but the freshly made gluten-free pandebonos are worth it. Cozy, Columbian-themed place with leafy decor. There was always fresh flowers at all tables. I visited on early mornings, and the good vibes were a nice way to start the day. Saw many people grabbing their morning coffee from here. Usually there's no line until 8:30/9AM, and it only takes them a minute or two to prep your drink. Bathroom is unique, creative, and clean. Drinks: Frappe with Cardamon - smooth texture, but the overt sweetness overpowers the taste of coffee. This was the first drink I tried and I left having no idea what the quality of roast is at this place. Frappe is pre-made and dispensed from a frappe machine. Maybe they forgot to add the cardamon flavor, or maybe it was overpowered by the sweetness. Latte with Hazelnut - good, 6/10, nothing special Iced coffee with whipped cream and caramel drizzle - presentation wow, 6/10 Food: !!GLUTEN FREE!! cheese pandebonos and guava pandebonos are $3 each. They are made from scratch with yuca, and toasted before being served. The bread is the soft gooey chewy kind, and I preferred the cheese more than guava. The cheese's soft texture pairs very well with the bread. Yummy! Would order again. I never got to try, but the cakes in the display looked amazing!

So glad my friend Linda suggested to come here neither one of us had been there before, but after her daughter recommended it. We both wanted to try it ! great fine in the end of a Publix shopping center. It is a little hard to find because there's no signage as you pass this front. You have to actually be in the parking lot to see the name of the restaurant. I've taken a picture of the front of the restaurant. Nicholas, the owner was there. He told us how his restaurant was full of love and contributions from both his family and his friends. All the cakes were made fresh by his mom and other moms that he knew , And the pesto was fresh in addition to all the cookies and muffins and cheese or blended with creativity. I ordered the Picnic Box which includes the turkey sandwich and a drink and a cookie! My friend ordered a Colombian dish called Arepa queso fresco which is offered in corn or yucca. Nicholas was so proud of his restaurant, including his restroom! He gave us a personal tour of his restroom and told us how his friend had hand painted the walls and they were special pictures! It definitely was a restroom to Tour! I so enjoyed my visit there and the food was delicious and fresh For my drink, chose a large latte with a Colombian specialty called Arquipe Frappe-so delicious. It's hard to describe, but I will definitely order it again when I visit and will be visiting this wonderful establishment very soon.!

Bolivar Coffee is an amazing gem in Smyrna. Love a cozy little neighborhood coffee spot. This spot is very cozy and warm. You can sit outside where they have blankets and heaters or inside where they have hi tops, couches, and small tables. It's very chill and laid back. I ordered a large Cafe mocha with caramel and chocolate Muffin voa their app. You get points via the app like a rewards program. App said ready in 25 minutes. I showed in 30 and waited about 5 minutes. The place was packed but still comfortable. My order was accurate. The mocha was amazing! I did not add anything to it. It was delicious. 10/10. I would order again. The Muffin was tasty. I would try the Heal Time Tea I think if under the weather. They have a simple yet complete menu. The prices aren't bad. Definitely will be back.

Pretty cool coffee shop! First off, this place is in a great location with plenty of parking. Second, I really enjoyed the coffee I ordered. Third, the service was great!

Great medium roast cup of drip coffee, friendly service and the wait far exceeded my expectations. I'll be back. I want to try other hot coffee drinks and that tres leches.

You know that feeling you get when you order from a new coffee shop? The excited of that first sip of a good new coffee but also the subtle nerves that you might just spent money on something not to your liking? Bolivar gave me the immediate good coffee excitement at first sip. Since I've stopped drinking the siren coffee, I had been wanting a shaken espresso but don't see many where I live. In town and this is the first shop that comes up on doordash and I was excited to see a shaken espresso. And being able to get a cardamom one???? 100/10. Perfect way to start a morning where I needed a little treat to get my head in the game

Was in the area for a work trip. Lovely atmosphere and staff, great cafe mocha, and delicious eggs and arepa breakfast. So sad I don't live closer!

Been to this location more times than I can count since moving to the area. Nice ambiance and staff is friendly. However, as an avid coffee lover, I don't appreciate ordering a latte (which is made with milk) only to be charged for milk; whether it's whole, oat or almond. It's like ordering a cheeseburger but paying extra for the cheese...so that definitely turned me off. The cost alone is already a bit pricey, so adding everything else à la carte makes for a pretty penny drink that isn't always consistent.

Super cute shop. Located in a shopping center so there's plenty of parking. They have coffee, teas, desserts, and sandwiches. Perfect for a morning or afternoon stop. The atmosphere was buzzy but not loud or crowded when we stopped in. Service was quick and the staff were friendly.

Good coffee and cozy vibes. The coffee shop was busy, luckily it wasn't too cold for us so we grabbed a table outside. It's kid friendly but not baby friendly in terms of high chair availability and space. The staff were very attentive and nice! Their turkey sandwich was the best I've ever had, the balsamic was a great addition to it. I can't wait to go back for more.

This was like taking a small vacation for lunch. From the music to the decor it's very relaxing and you feel like you should be looking at the sea, but instead your view is a parking lot. I had the tres leches cake and a turkey sandwhich. The staff brings it over to your table. Everything tasted fresh but I would have loved actual turkey instead of the deli meat version. I will definitely be back to try more desserts and maybe the coffee. I recommend this place for quiet lunch breaks and catching up with friends.

Came here randomly while visiting friends and was so impressed! We have close family friends who are Colombian and so I was very excited to check this spot out. It was very popular for working which was great to see but I was able to snag a table for myself. I ordered an arepa con queso and an iced coffee and both were absolutely delicious. Before I left I got some of the pandebono (cheese bread) to go and we loved them so much we came back the next day and got more and tried the guava ones. Definitely don't skip out on these!

I just needed to hear Colombian coffee house. It's my go to breakfast/brunch order when I am wanting delivery. They do offer their own app. The healthy tea is fresh and I do not know all the ingredients but I will go to just get that. I love their lunch box deal and the lattes are the best. Food is so fresh! They make their own bread and pastries! Reminds me of my travels abroad where food is made onsite with love. They waited until I came in to pick up my tea and added the water to the ice and drink mix (it might be home made), which was a nice touch. Their packaging is always above average and makes you feel fancy. Much like their atmosphere: clean, cozy, with the right mix of Colombian vibe. Their sweetener packages are stored in an old storage tin- possibly held those cards to find books back in the day at libraries or something small.

I finally stopped by this hidden gem to meet a friend and catch up on some work. The decor and ambiance is very cute! It made me feel like I was back in Colombia. I completed my order in Spanish, which was pretty cool. I ordered a large caramel latte and a bagel with cream cheese. I enjoyed both items! The bathroom was also really nice. It's a mural of the Colombian Amazon. The only downside was my laptop was not able to connect to their WiFi. So I had to use my personal hotspot. Other than that, the playlist was really good and took me down memory lane! I would highly recommend this space.

Great comfortable spot in a nice Publix strip mall. Anecdotally I'd say seating for 25, they have some outdoor seating too. Staff are professional and friendly. I only order their decaf Americano - but it is the best decaf coffee I've ever had. I'm from Seattle, had independent shops and roasters as clients, went to cuppings, etc. Bolivar's coffee wonderful, and reasonably priced. Highly recommend.

This place is so lovely! They make the kind of coffee that you can drink immediately because it is the perfect temperature. I usually get a sugar free latte with either SF vanilla or SF caramel and it always tastes great! Their baked goods are divine and they also have sandwiches and other lunch items that are a treat in their own right. There is plenty of seating so I often see folks working there. The staff are all super nice. It is definitely worth a visit!

What a treat! I had the Frappe with an extra shot of espresso and it's not too sweet but smooth and tastes like a good coffee. I just would have liked to have it custom with coconut milk as regular milk makes my stomach funny lol. I also had the spinach pastry. It's fresh. It tastes very much like spinach which is not what American food usually tastes like if you get my drift. I like it though. It's very flavorful and not too much cheese. Flaky crust as well. It's not too heavy. I only spent $10 and I got a large coffee!

Such a charming cafe. Very warm and cozy with plenty of seating (with tables outside as well.) The avocado toast was delicious and the coffee outstanding. Nice music, gracious folks at the counter and great food/coffee. Absolutely recommend this cafe.

I have had this place on my list of places to try since they opened. I finally decided to swing by and check it out. This coffee shop is located in a shopping plaza with Publix. It is next door to Great Clips. As such, there is ample parking. The inside is cute and small. There are a decent amount of tables inside as well as a few out front. They have the menu located behind the cashier. Next to the cashier you will find the pastries that they offer. I opted for a Cardamon cappuccino with oat milk and the turkey sandwich. I also purchased a pastry. The 3 items came up to a total of about $23.00. I opted to sit outside. The same staff that took my order also delivered my drink and food. Now let me tell you- for me- the winner was the turkey sandwich! Hands down the best sandwich I have ever eaten. The bread was soft and fresh, and the flavors were out of this world!! I will be back for that sandwich. The coffee was coffee. I can't say that it was superior to other coffee shops I think this is a nice spot to work from. There were actually a few patrons with their laptops. If you are in the area- stop by and order the turkey sandwich- you will not be disappointed!

I have been here two times now and I would say both experiences were good. Both times, I ordered a pistachio oat milk latte, half sweet. The second time, I did opt for an extra shot of espresso. The coffee here is good. Not the best I have had, but if in the area, I would go back again for sure. The Alfajor was disappointed in my opinion, but we also commonly order from a Peruvian baker and are picky with those. Last time I went though, we ordered this lemon and jam biscuit of sorts. The name of it is escaping me, but it was lovely. I highly recommend. I also ordered the turkey sandwich, which I enjoyed quite a bit. The bread was great. So overall, if you're in the area, it's worth the try!

The shop smelled like spoil milk. As if they haven't cleaned their drain in days. After purchase, tried the coffee and it was not worth it. I immediately threw it away after. It tastes like a water down coffee. Waste of my time and money.

Since the moment you enter Bolívar Caffe, you can smell the fresh brewing coffee and can feel the friendly service, you'll find delicious bake goods to choose from along with an excellent hand written board menu you can choose from to make your mornings or afternoons more enjoyable! Their sitting area is warm and pleasant! You won't be surprised

This is a gorgeous and cozy coffee shop that you'd never expect when you drive into the strip center with Publix. The way it's decorated, the many options of food and drink, the kind service - it was all a great experience. We enjoyed our chai tea, and also tried an alfajor, which was different from the ones we had in Argentina, but yummy anyhow!

Loved it! Grabbed a couple iced coffees and a pastry. Great vibes and decor and everyone behind the counter was professional, efficient, and nice. Coffees were great. I'll be back.

I just finished a long walk on Silver Comet Trail and decided that I wanted to treat myself to breakfast. A quick search brought me to Bolivar. I'd never heard of this place and I'm so glad to know it's just down the road from where I live. The cafe is so cute, service impeccable and food/coffee absolutely delicious! I even got a chance to meet Nico, the owner who was incredibly kind. I tried the scrambled egg breakfast with an arepa on the side along with an amaretto iced latte - so good! It's definitely a place where they remember you and treat you like family. I can't wait for this spot to become a regular stop for me!

Traveling through Atlanta and found this cute little place! The cashier was friendly, music fit the vibe and the decorations were so cute! We ordered a Cafe Americano, Chai Tea Latte, Pastel de Espinaca, Pastel de Nutella, Breakfast Sandwich and Butter cookies (it's a 3 pack). We played "Guess the herbs" from the art hanging near our table and before we finished our food and drinks were ready. Hubby said the americano was nice and strong as was my chai. The pastries were everything you could want in an authentic experience! Flaky and flavorful-the dill really shines through in the spinach pastry. The breakfast sandwich comes with lettuce which I was so skeptical about but boy did they prove me wrong! There wasn't too much hollandaise either. There are recycled straws and cutlery which is definitely a draw and reusable cups for the complimentary water. I was a bit sad that soy milk was listed as an option for milk alternatives but it wasn't available thirty mins after opening. I was also going to order the healing tea to go but they didn't have that either. Overall, outstanding. I would definitely visit again. My tummy is happy!

Super cute coffee shop! I love the decor. This is random but I thought their bathroom was super cute too. There isn't a great amount of seating though. Their coffee was really good but I think a tad overpriced for what it is. I didn't get anything special and it costed as much as a specialty coffee drink at other coffee shops. They have a good amount of food options as well, so it seems like a cute place to come for lunch. I might come back and try their food

Gorgeous little place. This is a hidden gem in Smyrna. It's in the Publix shopping strip, but going in is like entering another country. The decor is so earthy and beautiful! We tried several things and everything was delicious. The coffee was good too! The place was full but the line moved super fast. This is a place to come back and visit- get coffee & a pastry before getting groceries!

I love this place!! I've been watching them on Instagram for a while now, but we have been too busy to head over to Smyrna. Finally this weekend we got the chance and I am so glad that we did! They have a variety of cosy and comfortable seating. I will want to come back and work some time. We tried a variety of items. For me, the standouts were the carrot cake, the banana muffins, and the pandebonos. Those pandebonos--oh my goodness! We tried both the standard and the guava, and both were exceptional. The entire operation is filled with love, pride, and goodness. If I lived closer I think I'd go there once a week!!

It's a cute place. The service is genuine because they want to make it right. Please know that it's not quick, though, so bring your patience.

I'm a sucker for local coffee shops and I was so happy to have seen this on Yelp because I have been wanting to try a Colombian coffee shop. First of all the ambiance was lovely! The decor was so cute. I'm half colombian so I enjoyed seeing the decor on the walls. The coffee was SO good, the sandwich was great and the service was lovely! I will be back one day!

Had a lil meet and greet with a realtor for my first time experiencing this bustling coffee shop. I've gotta say I've always wondered how people sit in busy coffee shops and do work with all the noise and idk how to explain it but I get it. It's like the perfect spot. Coffee was good, customer service was even better. I like this lil place

Nice little comfortable and welcoming coffee shop with a limited but delicious menu. We have visited a couple of times on weekend mornings and though the place fills up there is never an extended wait for food or coffee. The sandwiches are made fresh and brought to your table, while your name is called to pick up your beverage. There are comfortable seating areas, tables, high tops, and also a few outdoor tables. Plenty of parking in the large parking plaza lot.

Bolivar Coffee is warm and inviting. The sandwiches were simply amazing. All of the ingredients were fresh and of the highest quality. The bread was so good I wish they sold the baguettes individually. I felt like I was back in Europe in a quaint bistro. The employees are dedicated and kind. I can't wait to visit your new location. Coffee & food is really great! They keep up with seasonal menus and have authentic baked goods. My only complaint is the shop itself has a strong cleaning chemical every time I've gone. I have a sensitive nose and sometimes the smell makes me nauseous.

Great addition to the area! Based on how busy it always seems, I hope it's here to stay. My husband usually goes in to get our lattes, they even recognize home now. The workers are friendly and the place is clean and inviting. In addition to coffee drinks and tea, they have sandwiches. I haven't tried them but they look good. I have had the cheese bread and it's wonderful. Bonus point for Bolivar because they're involved in the community, such as having spirit days for the area schools.

We needed a great coffee spot in Smyrna and Bolivar Coffee delivers in terms of taste, service and location! I ordered their signature frappe which was really good, and my friend ordered a latte. The place was packed since it was Saturday noon but we were able to snag a table and enjoy our drinks. The place itself is very aesthetic, located in a plaza with plenty of parking. Would definitely come back again!

What a neat little coffee shop in the south Smyrna area! Any time I want to go to a cool local coffee shop, I always feel like I have to go towards town so it's really nice to have a new local spot closer to home. It's located on the right side of the large Publix shopping complex (at the corner of South Cobb Drive and East West Connector) so there is ample parking. When you walk in, you're greeting with a quaint little interior with probably 6 tables, a few high tops, and a little lounge area; it's not a large place but there is enough seating for a typical morning. They even have a cute little kids table with coloring pages/crayons to keep your little one busy while you enjoy your coffee/pastry. I'm not much of a mixed coffee drink person, I just like a good ol' cup of old fashioned black coffee so I got their large drip coffee....for less than $3!!! You can't even get a medium coffee at Dunkin' for $3 so the prices are really fair and affordable in comparison to a lot of the craft coffee shops around town that charge $5 or more for a cup of coffee. Flavor wise, it's a nice light to medium roast without the gross burned bean taste that *ahem* Starbucks has. To round out the experience, I wanted to order a food item off their menu (which is small, but mighty with a variety of pastries, sandwiches, etc) and per the servers recommendation, I ordered the Pastel de Espinica (she said it's a pastry filled with spinach, cream cheese, and herbs) and it was so good! It reminded me of a spanakopitia in a way... It has a very light flaky crust with a creamy spinach filling. 10/10 recommend. Make sure you come check this place out if you're in the area, way better than the chain coffee shops we've all had to go to before this place opened up.
