"Chef Facundo DeFraia’s salt-flecked, diamond-shaped pizzas have captivated Minneapolis since 2018. Put together with flaky empanadas and heaping salads, Boludo hits a Buenos Aires-style high note. The humita empanada combines sweet corn kernels, with spicy peppers and creamy Fontina cheese, while the well-balanced Peras pizza balances sweet pears with funky gorgonzola, pine nuts, and zippy dill. For something a little more traditional, the classic pizzas (pepperoni, margarita, chorizo etc.) are great bets." - Natalia Mendez, Julie Zhou

Same great tasting pizza as the other Boludo locations in the Twin Cities. Food quality is incredibly consistent across all locations. Food comes out quick. There isn't as much Argentina decor as some of other locations, but still a clean and modern layout. Very well lit. Parking is a little annoying. There is only paid street parking, even if you're going there for a couple minutes for a pickup. Staff is incredibly friendly and helpful in their suggestions.

here’s the deal with boludo - it deserves all the hype and the pizza is fantastic and the service charge is weird for a counter service and self bus place. makes it feel more casual than it should be. i like all the locations but this one especially has some good seating. music can be sorta loud. it’s just a pizza place not a night club especially at lunch. i get an empanada or two to pregame. they are all great. bring some cards. have a drink. eat some pizza. see you at boludo.

Hands down the best pizza I’ve had in a very long time. THIS is what pizza should be, and thanks to Boludo, it is! Perfectly cooked with pillowy soft crust that’s toasted just enough to give you a well balanced char taste. Sauce is made with fresh tomatoes and has a residual sweetness that balances exceptionally well with the salty pepperoni. Next time I’m going with the Margarita and I know it’s going to be awesome! Small place with a few table inside and about the same amount outside as well. Perfect for date night or for family pizza night. If you’re visiting Minneapolis you have to make it a point to stop by.

I appreciate the way the staff treats students; they are extremely friendly. During my time studying there, I found the atmosphere to be calm and conducive to learning. Overall, everything is well-organized and enjoyable, making it a great place to be.

The carne empanada smelled great, was incredibly juicy and well seasoned, maybe slightly salty. Margarita pizza was thin with a good sauce ration and tasted great, decent snack size for 2 people. The shredded parmesan on the crust was a good touch to add flavor to the crust.

We love, love, love the food here, but tonight the chimichurri sauce was pretty gross. Mostly just oil. Pizza and empanadas were great. That sauce was nasty. It used to be our favorite thing. Even got us making our own. Wish we had had some of our own tonight.

Boludo in Minneapolis is a hidden gem for anyone seeking the best vegetarian pizza, empanadas, and churros in town! The vegetarian pizza is delightful, with a perfect balance of fresh ingredients and a flavorful crust. The vegetarian empanadas are packed with delicious fillings and baked to perfection, making them a must-try. And the churros – they are simply out of this world, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, with just the right amount of sweetness. The friendly staff add to the overall wonderful dining experience. Highly recommended for all food lovers, especially vegetarians!

We ordered the pepperoni pizza, empanadas, and the donuts. I wish I had taken photos because the pizza had a lot less pepperoni than shown on the website menu, and many of them were below the cheese, making them a soggy mess instead of the crispy tastiness that cup pepperoni should be. This made for a very disappointing meal. The empanadas were super tasty, no complaints there, but when we moved on to the donuts, we were shocked by the excessive amount of cinnamon and zero sugar on them. The donuts themselves, beneath the cinnamon, were bland, but the cinnamon really was so overwhelming that it choked my friend and I both and we had to discard them. In the end, we spent $60 to be disappointed by the meal and, because my friend and I are pathetic in our Sunday dessert needs, found ourselves spending even more money to get a decent dessert elsewhere. Sad to say that we will not be back because the empanadas were good, but not good enough to ignore the other issues.
