Where to Get Smoky, Juicy, and Delicious Barbecue in Philly

"Finding Bomb Bomb is easy: Just look for the bright neon sign in the middle of a residential neighborhood in South Philly. While the red gravy Italian food is as comforting as it gets, barbecue is also in the name for a reason. Saucy ribs (with a house-made bourbon-spiked barbecue sauce) are done "South Philly style," and ordering them with a side of mussels is as natural as matching peanut butter and jelly." - Eater Staff, Caroline Coral

Came upon this precious neighborhood restaurant-bar by chance. Their HH menu and soundtrack drew me in. What I found inside was a wonderfully welcoming atmosphere, staff, and guests. I immediately felt at home and comfy. I'll most definitely be back!

I’ve been coming to Bomb Bomb for 20 years. My son was a baby and now he is 20 , my daughter 34, and now I have 3 grandchildren , that shared the love of food, drinks, and family. The Bomb Bomb family, is like no other. We’ll miss you guys and hope to see you on Monday night for the last time. ( sigh) I feel like the last year of high school, when we all say goodbye for the last time. Good luck in your retirement. We love you

So delicious. I got the cheese ravioli with meatballs and broccoli rabe on the side. It was so delicious I ate it alll. Calamari was delicious too and so were the bbq pork appetizers. The staff were very friendly and the restaurant was not very busy so we got a table immediately. We even had dessert and we tried all three. They were so yummy!!!! I got the apple pie and that was my favorite dessert.

Delicious food. They’ll make adjustments to your taste. The drinks are great and the service is wonderful. This place is a real South Philly experience, it’s like going to your Italian friends house for dinner.

This is an original "South Philly" eatery. Good food, waitresses that call you "Hun", the seating is adequate. There is a bar as you walk in with neighborhood regulars. Typical but these places are disappearing. Enjoy while you can. Parking is scarce and I didn't notice wheelchair access, because I wasn't looking for it, you may want to call.

Terrific neighborhood bar and restaurant. Award-winning food choices, excellent service, and friendly atmosphere. I would take my daughter there. (And I did!) Strongly recommend the place (especially the Pumpkin White Russian & the home-made Sangria).

Went here before a flyers game. The place is smaller than I expected but it was cozy. The waitress was amazing. The salad with their special dressing was tasty, as was the lobster bisque. The bomb brisket sandwich had a lot of flavor and was huge. I took half home and ate it for lunch the next day.
