A Creperie Opens at Boston Public Market - Eater Boston

"Boston Public Market (100 Hanover St., Downtown Boston) has a new vendor: Bon Appetit Crêperie, serving up a range of sweet and savory crepes. The avocado crisp crepe, for example, comes with avocado, scallions, potato chips and pickled ginger on a tomato sauce spread, while the Elvis crepe is topped with peanut butter, banana, and honey. There are also crepe waffles available with some of the same toppings as the sweet crepe selection. Bon Appetit Crêperie’s Boston Public Market stand is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. The company also operates in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania." - Rachel Leah Blumenthal

Google
A great halal crepe spot right in the Public Market. We tried the Beef Mediterranean, Morning Starter, and the Classic. The sweet crepes were much better than the savory ones we tried, and between the two savory, we like the Morning Starter better. I recommend coming here for the sweet crepes!!

Google
Fabulous crepes! Closest to Paris we’ve had in Boston. We got a Parisian crepe (lemon and butter) and a savory crepe with turkey, mozzarella and spinach.

I got the Florentine crepe and really enjoyed it. No complaints and if I lived/ worked close by, I would eat there weekly, if not more frequently.

Absolutely loved our experience at Bon Appétit Crêperie! The crêpes were fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. The sweet options were indulgent without being too heavy, and the savoury ones were packed with flavour. The staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive, making the entire visit feel special. A cozy little spot with a true French touch — I’ll definitely be back!

Google
Had the florentine and it was pretty bland, not to mention messy. On the plus side, the portion of filling was actually good and they didn’t skimp on that. But no, wouldn’t get a savory crepe again. I wouldn’t mind trying one of their sweet crepes though; they’re pretty hard to mess up so hopefully those are better. Can be a bit slow if there’s even one or two people before you since they only have two or three burners.

Google
Really fantastic food! We had a few savory and a few sweet and they were amazing! She was meticulous about the ingredients and their placement which makes a good experience through the whole crepe. Definitely coming back when in town!!

Google
Amazing service and delicious food! The staff was warm and welcoming from the moment we walked in. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Highly recommend this place—can’t wait to come back!

Google
I went there today and asked for a Nutella crepe. When I requested a little more Nutella because she put just little , the girl told me I would need to pay extra. The service was terrible—both of the girls were rude and unhelpful. Definitely disappointed with the experience

Yelp
we got some crepes to go from here for a quick dessert, but they were a bit underwhelming. we got the parisian and classic crepes, and they were a lot more simple than expected. the classic crepe was yummy, the parisian was okay. they do make the crepes right in front of you at their stall, which is fun to see. it's also at the boston public market, so there is a lot to explore. i would they say their crepes were pretty average, nothing special, but also not bad. i probs won't return for another crepe.

Yelp
The food looks so good, unfortunately it just under delivered on service and taste. Came here on a Sunday and were the first ones in line at very beginning of day. Ordered a crepe with Nutella/strawberries/bananas. They were out of strawberries. They didn't let me know in advance, just kept making the crepe without one of the main ingredients and didn't let me know till the end. I would have changed my order had I known! Crepe decent enough, but not anything I would return for.

Yelp
So so good. The Brie delight is my go to for savory and the campfire or parisian are my favorite sweet ones!!! I love watching her make them. Allergy friendly for my particular allergies at least. Very clean and lovely stand! A must try in the area for sure

Yelp
An excellent experience! The gluten free batter is delicious and therefore all crepes can be gluten free. The crepes are pretty large, a few are huge. She offers a plate with togo silverware and you can eat at shared tables or take it to go. You can also order online. She's just one person, so order & relax or find your seat and return. Worth any wait!

Yelp
Cute little spot inside of Boston Public Market with phenomenal crepes! I found myself wandering around the market on a weeknight after work before heading to the train and decided a little mid-week treat was in order. I got The Campfire crepe, which was smores inspired. The service was quick and pleasant, and it was fun watching her prepare my crepe right in front of me. The prices were fair and in line with area (touristy, etc.). Can't wait to return to try a savory crepe!

Yelp
Well, I don't how I have missed out on this place for so long, cause it's delicious! They have so many tasty options! I was glad to see vegetarian options, although I always want more variety. The fact that they. have both savory & sweet crepes mean you can get your lunch & dessert at the same time! Check it out cause it's tasty & reasonably priced.

Aidan D.

Yelp
The campfire crepe is amazing. It is a sweet crepe with Nutella, marshmallows, and gram crackers.

Yelp
4.5 stars! I stopped by for lunch at Bon Appetit Creperie in the Boston Public Market and was really glad I had a chance to try this place. I'm a crepe lover (particularly savory ones) and I was so happy the vegetarian crepe I had from Bon Appetit was so stuffed with all the veggie goodies and properly layered with sweet balsamic sauce (many places like to skimp on the fillings...but ah ah...not this place!). So...price wise...this place is really reasonable! The crepe is made fresh to order...so be patient. There was only one lady at this shop and just a few crepe pans..so be nice and patient to her! She's a kind lady and was trying her best and fast as she could to get to those yummy crepes of your choices out there for sure.

Yelp
After walking around Boston Public Market for a while, I decided to give Bon Appetit a try because I haven't had a crepe in ages. Didn't disappoint! I got the Dulce de Leche crepe with caramel, almonds, and peanuts. I wasn't totally sure about having all the nuts on it, but the flavor combo worked. They make each one fresh to order, and while it took about 5 minutes to get the attention of the lady working behind the counter (she was eating lunch, so I wanted to give her some time--it's hard being on your feet all day!), it was nice to have a good midday snack.

Yelp
Bon Appetite Crepes we're very delicious. I ordered one called The Campfire which was graham crackers, nutella and marshmallows. It was light and airy with minimal filling. It seems like it would be really heavy but it surprisingly wasn't. It was just enough to share to satisfy a sugar craving. I was disappointed by the service. There was one person on line in front of me and I waited almost a half hour to even place an order. My boyfriend tried to use the restroom, at Boston Public Market, to find out you need a bathroom code which you get by purchasing an item. He asked the woman for the code as we were waiting in line. She said we needed to purchase an item. We explained we have every intension of ordering as we have been waiting in line for a very long time and she still wouldn't give it to him. If she had just taken our order, we could have paid upfront yet we still waited for her. It was a little ridiculous. It seemed like she was filling online orders for potential uber eats/doordash because they were filled and being placed on a side table. I really could have bought a water bottle from another vendor after the fact of it but it just wasn't professional to make us stand there, knowing he has to use the restroom and continue to not take our order.

Yelp
The Very Veggie Crepe and the Hibiscus Drink are absolutely delicious! I had the bad timing to walk up while they were filling a very large delivery order but they were very polite and I still got my food in less than 20 minutes. Absolutely want to come back and try some of the other options next time I'm nearby.
google avatar

Yelp
This place definitely did not disappoint at all. The quality and tasted of the crepe was I point. I got the classic crepe which came with Nutella, banana, strawberries, powder sugar and chocolate syrup. It was fantastic tasted fluffy and rich. Reminds, of a dessert. All the textures, just gel into to make a perfect item. Definitely, would come and recommend to every one.
google avatar

Shelly B.

Yelp
Absolutely love their crepes! They have both sweet and savory crepes available and they open at 8AM! I ordered the Nana's pie crepe and decided to pay a little bit extra for some added bananas and it was so good! The employees working behind the counter were all so friendly and answered all my questions regarding the different crepes. They were very accommodating when I asked if certain things could be taken out or added into my crepe. The most important thing though, is that the actual texture of the crepe was awesome! It was nice and soft with just the slightest crisp on the edge. 100% would go again and try another crepe!

Yelp
Amazing! So delicious and well made. Best crepes ever! Also a great way to support a small business :)

Galina K.

Yelp
I wish there was a way to give this place a negative 5! First of all, nothing on their website tells you it is just a stand at Public market. I mean it would have been helpful to know It's not a cafe. Made it close to impossible to find as there is no advertisement from the street! And when we finally did,- noone was at the counter to make the crepes they claim they have such a passion for! No indication if the employee just stepped out or if they are not planning to be there for the day! Checked website,- stated they were open... After waiting for a while we went on to have a meal at another one of the thousands of places Boston has to offer! This is NOT how you run business! Be respectful to your customers! Very disappointed!

Yelp
Delicious and a nice selection! Great start to our day in Boston! Enjoyed walking around the Boston Public Market.

Yelp
On a work trip to Boston, I stopped by Bon Appétit Creperie to grab a quick dinner. Surprisingly enough, I was taken back to the days I spent in Paris eating the Crepes in the streets of Châtelet Les Halles. The crepes were so good that I ended up buying 3 different kinds. The place is very cute and very well maintained. The owners are the sweetest ever. I can't wait to go back to Boston for more. I freaking loved it!!!!!
google avatar

Alison K.

Yelp
Super cute little spot for crepes in the Boston Public Market! They offer both savory and sweet crepes. I tried the Nana's Pie crepe, which had filling similar to apple pie, and my friend got the Dulce de Leche crepe. Both were super delicious and very filling (couldn't finish actually, so I'd recommend splitting one if you've just come from a meal). I would definitely visit again!

Yelp
After walking around the Public Market, I decided on this Creperie for lunch. They have sweet dessert crepes, and savory options as well. As it was lunch, I went for a more, lunchtime type crepe, the Gobble Gobble. (Turkey, spinach, cheddar, mozzarella, and a white sauce). It was super busy everywhere, they did not have a line so I could walk right up to place my order. The ladies working that day did not notice me at first so I have to try to get their attention, but once my order was placed, my crepe was in the works. It was made fast and I was quickly sitting down to try it. It was an OK crepe, but it didn't blow me out of the water. Someone ordering after me got one of their sweet crepes and it looked much more appetizing than mine. I would recommend this place, but if given the option again, I would have gone with a sweet crepe.

Michael M.

Yelp
Amazing crepes, cozy environment, and little to no noise. Great scenery next to Little Italy.
google avatar

Kim C.

Yelp
Bon Appetit has the best Crepes. I tried the campfire which is almost like having s'mores with Nutella. So delicious! Great customer service as well. They are super friendly and helpful if you are not sure what you'd like to order.

Yelp
Visiting in from Texas/Connecticut The Whole market is fantastic, but this place really hit the spot for breakfast. Arthur was an all star man welcoming us in, giving us the rundown on the menu and just a class act in getting those crepes cooking while holding a friendly conversation with us. When we sat down to eat oh my gosh it was so good! Wife used to live in France and said "Best Crepe I've had stateside" We Stuck with the savory side of the menu and got the Gobble Gobble & The morning Riser.
google avatar

Emily M.

Yelp
I came back from Paris CRAVING crepes, which is how I stumbled upon Bon Appetit. I loved the strawberry and Nutella crepes! However, they always ask if I want banana too and I say no because of an allergy (cross-contamination isn't an issue for me, luckily) For the past three visits, I've watched them almost put bananas on and I had to stop them. Recently, they've slowed down their service significantly and it can take up to 10 minutes for a single crepe. As long as they speed up their service a little, and be cautious of the notes customers make when placing orders, they will continue to thrive.

Yelp
I've had crepes in Boston and let me tell you nothing compares to Bon Appetit Creperie ! Taking a bite made me reminisce over my time in Paris eating crepes and overlooking the Eiffel tower. When I say nothing compares to it I honestly mean it. The food is amazing and what makes it even better and more enjoyable is the lovely staff. I've been searching for crepes and I am thankful I found this gem in the heart of Boston. I can't stress how amazing everything is at this place. With every bite and trip it just keeps on getting better. Thank you for the amazing work you do to keep a foodie like myself extremely satisfied.

Yelp
First of all- yum ! Tried both a savoury and sweet crepe and both were delicious. They had an offering called "crepe waffle" which is essentially the same batter but made with a waffle machine. It's really unique and worth a try, very fluffy! They were also really nice and friendly. They had already shut down for the night (15mins before closing) and offered to turn it back on for us so that we could have a celebratory crepe for a friend's birthday.

Chobie N.

Yelp
Got the morning starter with eggs and turkey bacon. Very delicious. Definitely recommend that b-sauce because it's garlicky. The hibiscus juice is very sweet.

Jess V.

Yelp
Impeccable service, creative menu, tasty crepes The Sea Master, and Nana's pie are my to-go. I love this place!
google avatar

Ashley S.

Yelp
First, we had no idea this was a tiny thing inside Boston Public Market. As tourists, we just looked for yummy things with good reviews. Hubby had a cinnamon bun crepe and I had the Elvis crepe and added strawberries. Both were delicious! I did like that we could go to other places and pick drinks and stuff and then sat at the communal tables. If you are looking for a sit down place to get drinks and food, this isn't that kind of thing. We thought it was fun tho!
google avatar

Jasmine M.

Yelp
I was in the mood for a sweet crepe so I decided to stop by here. I ordered a sweet crepe with Nutella, banana, strawberries, and whipped cream. The sweet crepe was tasty, but it didn't have a lot of fruit. If I'm paying almost $10 for a crepe, there should be more fruit in it. It was very tasty though so at least it was good.
google avatar

Adem A.

Yelp
Great staff, even better food. I would DEF recommend! Was traveling on business and I stumbled on this place. Didn't regret it at all.
google avatar

Yelp
I am a huge fan of this place and I keep going every time I am in town. Best crepes ever for sure! It is a small cute venue in Boston public market . Service is friendly and fast. They have many options such as sweet crepes with Nutella as well as other savory options . A must in Boston for sure.

Yelp
This place has the besttttttt crepes! I've had the classic and the dulce de leche and both were phenomenal. You can also can also customize your crepe. I enjoyed watching them make my crepe, it's such a cute and clean place. The owners/employees are also the sweetest people I've met, they make your experience much more enjoyable and I'll definitely return for some more crepes! I definitely recommend this play to anyone visiting Boston or if you're from the area.
google avatar

Yelp
I definitely underestimated this place. I thought it would be like any other place with thin dried out crepes with just a bunch of filling. Absolutely wrong!! It was wonderful. The girl who took my order and made it was so nice. I got the campfire crepe I believe it is called. It had marshmallows, chocolate syrup, and graham cracker powder. I am not a fan of s'mores, never liked them and never thought I would. But my sister loves it and she got the campfire one and we shared it. It was the best crepe I have ever had. Just the right amount of everything, the crepe was moist and on the thicker side. It was warm and gooey and just absolutely delicious. Do not underestimate this place. It's actually really delicious.
google avatar

Gina D.

Yelp
Wow! Great savory crepes. Veggie is wonderful and the turkey. Big portions. The owners were very nice, we enjoyed talking with them.
google avatar

Christa V.

Yelp
I had my first Crepe from Bon Appetit last week, and loved it so much that I went back the next day and got the exact same thing. I've had many crepes in Boston and none of them compare to how delicious these are! I'm so excited that they are in the Public Market and I'm pretty sure this will be my new go-to for lunch!
google avatar

Darren K.

Yelp
Great find in the Boston Public Market!! Ample portions and very delicious!! The owners are very personable and obviously care about quality!! The Ginger juice is also great!!
google avatar

Geoff M.

Yelp
Delicious! We had the SeaMaster (smoked salmon and cream cheese), the Mediterranean Beef, and the Earlybird. They were all great! We'll be coming back to check out the sweet crepes too, count on it! Price is reasonable and the staff are very friendly.
google avatar

Ray D.

Yelp
We stopped here because it looked so clean and appetizing. Two of us had the veggie crepe and it was so delicious. Healthy and fresh. So yummy. May go back again today.

Jane M.

Yelp
Amazing Crepes!!!! I got the Nana's Pie and Gobble Gobble crepes and they were both delicious! Highly recommend. Bon Appetit Creperie won't disappoint
google avatar

Colleen T.

Yelp
My family loves Bon Appetit Creperie! It is such a wonderful family owned restaurant and the owners truly care about preparing high quality food with the freshest ingredients. They have a wide variety of sweet and savory crepes, as well as waffles and drinks. They are so very accommodating in tailoring an order specially for my 2 and 4-year old. There is something for everyone to love. I highly recommend checking it out and trying one of everything :)

Nic S.

Yelp
I go to the Boston Public Market a few days a week for lunch and this just became my new favorite spot. Ordered the avocado crisp and it was assembled perfectly. Arthur made my crepe with mindful skill and super-friendly service. The whole experience exceeded expectations. I'm already looking forward to ordering lunch tomorrow.
google avatar

Jamie G.

Yelp
Super attentive Service and delicious crepes, both sweet and savory. Try the "very veggie" and ginger juice.

Amjad K.

Yelp
Best service! Best crepes! Gorgeous girls working the shop! I honestly come here just for the eye candy. In all sincerity I have never been to a creperie in a more gorgeous setting. If you're looking for a cute place to take your date and enjoy a sweet snack come to this location and get the Nutella special!

Ekta N.

Yelp
Good food however they take forever to make a crepe. I waited 20mins for my one crepe because they make them one at a time instead of two or three even though they have the hot plates available. For a lunch time rush in Boston, this is not the place to go.

Jessie H.

Yelp
Took a chance on these crepes - and they are delicious! I had the lemon crepe and would definitely order that again. The staff are also very kind and helpful. Great experience.

Katie B.

Yelp
First, important to know it's inside the Boston Public Market. Second, the ladies making the crepes are super nice. With regards to the crepes, my daughter had the cinnamon bun crepe waffle, she loved it! I had the caprese crepe and it was okay; the shredded mozzarella wasn't melted, they use a lot of what tasted like balsamic dressing, may be better without the dressing or with pesto... definitely would have been better if the cheese was melted.

JB P.

Yelp
Real nutella, well crafted, and good price. The real thing. They do it with care and great consistency.

Mary O.

Yelp
Got the caprese and the Florentine crepes and they were amazing!! The staff was so friendly and the food was so fresh. I'm a crepe lover and can definitely vouch that these are the best crepes in Boston! I would definitely go back and I plan too because I work in the area.

Monica S.

Yelp
So yummy! We had Avocado Crunch and Mediterranean Chicken, and the kids had dessert crepes. Highly recommend it!

Thomas F.

Yelp
Crazy good. We had the Sea Master (salmon) and the Avocado Crunch and both were perfectly balanced, satisfying, and delicious. Other customers on their way out stopped by the counter to give their compliments. Finally a good French creperie in Boston. Formidable!
