Cool little brewery inside the Westin Bonaventure on the fourth floor by the pool. Pretty good happy hour prices and their beer was quite delicious. I enjoyed some steak skewers and my buddy crushed his fish tacos. I went with the strawberry blonde beer and my friend had the Mila IPA (named after the prettiest, and perhaps funniest, bartender I’ve ever been served by)

I've stayed at this hotel several times but never tried this restaurant until recently. The food was delicious and excellent customer service by Pat and Chris. Pat does make an awesome Long Island. Good atmosphere. The restaurant is kinda out of sight, on the 5th floor, so you have to take the elevator to the 6th or 4th floor and use the stairs. I will be back.

I come to the Bonaventure Brewery once a year for a work trip and I absolutely enjoy the going to the brewery every single time! The boss and I stop by multiple times because we know the drinks, food, and service are amazing. Always surrounded by other interesting travelers from a variety of places and a great environment! Shout out to Rachel, Mila, and Noah! You don’t need to leave the property, food, drinks, pool access - go get it.

I really enjoyed going to this restaurant. The food was great, the atmosphere is a nice oasis in the middle of L.A. but most exceptional was Rachel, she was such an amazing waitress. It was really busy and they were short-staffed and she rocked it! Thx Rachel you are amazing and your recommendation to go with the fish tacos was such a good choice! We have held our company holiday party at BBC for the past two years! It was the first time we hosted at an outside venue and were looking for a great location that was also budget friendly. The first year was such a hit, that we immediately booked our date for the following year! Jacey and Erica, and all the staff, are wonderful. They worked with us to fit within our budget, made suggestions on the floor plan, and really provided a seamless experience. The outdoor space is so beautiful at night with the lights and the surrounding cityscape. The food, bar, and dance floor have been a hit each year! The heaters and firepits are great for a December nighttime event and we never had any complaints that anyone was cold - everyone was just having a great time!! We are already booked for our 2025 holiday party!!

Trust me, I did a lot of searching. The outdoor setting with the greenery is such a beautiful vibe. Jacey, Erica, and the staff took such great care of us. They were very accommodating with setting up welcome sign easels, guestbook tables, memorial tables, a dessert table, etc. The bartenders and waiters were so attentive. I will never forget this day. Thanks to the Bonaventure Brewing Company for providing the party of my dreams without breaking the bank!

I would love to give a great review but my one experience with the waitstaff last night does not make up for the rude bartender tonight. I sat at the bar and he asked what I wanted and I said a tea and was about to ask for a to-go order of hamburger meal when he cut me off and proceeded to say “No” very abruptly. I asked can I get a hamburger to go he said yes and asked how I wanted it cooked. He then stuck the bill in front of me. I am sorry but I cannot drink alcohol. I just got done with chemo, surgery. and radiation. It is very evident that I have been through it as I have very little hair. This was my first time away from my home in almost a year and was stuck for work in the hotel due to the LA protests and curfew. I tried to talk to the Marriott manager but they said the restaurant is an outside group and they would let someone know. Marriott should do better. The restaurant bartender should do better. After I left they lost a coworkers credit card. Don’t go here, run away!

Got a flight of beers and hot wings. Bar food was good, beers were great! The strawberry blonde and marathon were my favorites. Nice spot for food and drink without having to leave the hotel. Weird thing is my elevator would only take me to the 3rd or 5th floor and this was on the 4th. So took an extra minute to find, but glad I did.

Came here for a work lunch as it was near my office. For those who don't know, it's located inside the Westin Bonaventure Hotel. Opted for the chimichurri steak, which was a skirt steak with chimichurri sauce. Wasn't sure what to expect since the menu was pretty diverse, but the steak was pretty good. Cooked medium rare, very tasty. Service was fine, no complaints here.

**ALERT! This review is for the venue outside the Brewery, not the Bonaventure Hotel. ** I am SO grateful to have found this venue. It is truly a hidden gem in the middle of L.A. The views are fantastic and add a tremendous backdrop to any occasion. I had my book launch party here, and from the start, Jacey was very helpful and answered all my questions. Unfortunately she was not available for my event on the day of, however, Erica did a great job in her absence. We were able to come in early enough to decorate, and when we needed things moved around, the staff was right there to help. I had 100 guests, which fit us comfortably; I could have added more if needed. I had the taco buffet for dinner, and it was set up so smoothly. I never saw the staff going in and out, and the food was good! We also had bar services, and my family never complained of having to wait long for their drinks or of any high prices. Believe me when I say I spent a great deal of time looking for a venue, and this one not only worked great with our budget, but the spot was divine. We could reserve rooms at the Bonaventure, which was a perfect way to get ready before the party and the ideal way to keep the party going. After the event, we visited the Bona Vista Lounge for more spectacular views, a fourth meal, and drinks. My only gripe, or more of a warning, was the parking situation. Many of my guests were turned away from the hotel parking due to an event at the hotel and a concert in the area, so paid parking lots were full and hard to get into. So, in your search for a venue, stop looking and book here, but check the surrounding area for any events that may pose a problem. Thank you for an excellent night I will never forget!

Great service and food! Burger was cooked to perfection and fries were tasty and the club sandwich was delicious. Menu is solid.

Not the kind of place you'd expect an awesome salad, but the Chicken Bleu Salad was excellent! Paired with a light Strawberry Blond and I was set. It's in an odd location on the 4th floor of the Westin Bonaventure, but it's worth seeking out.

The service was incredible! Our waitress, Rachel, happily served an increasingly growing group with grace; the service was impeccable. Our company started as a group of 6 and ended close to 20 and the level of service never faltered. This was a perfect night for our group and we are so grateful to have Rachel by our side.

I had so much fun here tonight! Mika was so fun and her customer service was excellent. I would definitely come back and recommend this bar!

Quick service, yummy drinks, and friendly service!!! Came in here for a quick drink with a friend and it was a chill ambience with friendly bartenders. The Old Fashioned I had was strong and tasty.

Just not good. At all. The atmosphere is dark, stuffy, and depressing, the beer sucks, and the menu is dated bar fare prepared averagely at best. It's got a musty, stale odor like many other areas in the hotel. However, what really makes this a 1 star experience was the absolutely atrocious service, some of the worst and also weirdest I've ever experienced. The FOH staff is like a sad little clique that nobody really acknowledges, and since they are clearly helping guests so infrequently, they don't really know how to interact with them appropriately, so the staff essentially hazes them instead. My husband and I were there on a weekend getaway for a Dodgers game and concert. We needed a quick snack before the game and decided to try this place purely out of convenience. There was only one other patron; bad start. The moment we sat down, FOH staff started repeating the same "you going to the Dodgers game?!" line to each other in this snide, disparaging tone that was obviously intended to make fun of us. It happened at least 8 times between 3 or 4 staff members. That's incredibly bizarre and completely unprofessional as it is, but it didn't stop there! Since we were provided about 60-90 total seconds of interaction from staff, they had plenty of time to just stand around bulls**ting about life. The gal decided to get into a very lengthy conversation with her colleague about some lawsuit against a former employer she had also slept with, and all the ins and outs of their history and in progress lawsuit! We left as quickly as possible, and she was still going when we exited. This place is a dump in every sense of the word. Stay far, far away (like a different hotel, perhaps).

This place was easy to get in with no wait. The food was good and the service was fine. I liked that this restaurant had more food choices than the lounge restaurant on 35th floor. I was comfortable as it was a relaxed atmosphere and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.

Where do I even begin?! We had our wedding reception at the outdoor patio deck garden of the Bonaventure Brewing Co. I cannot express enough for perfect our day was! First of all, you can't beat the view from the circle garden. It is truly a hidden gem in LA and I can't believe this venue doesn't have more recognition on Yelp. The comment we kept getting from all of our guests that night was "this venue is so different from every other wedding I've ever been to". It's just memorable. We barely had decorations outside of the generic wedding table stuff, the venue itself is just stunning and you don't need to add much to make it look more beautiful. (We saved money on not buying real flowers - you don't even need them, it's that beautiful!) We planned our reception in two and a half months and it was all through their amazing event manager, Jacey. From day one of inquiring info via email, she was so kind, quick to respond throughout, informative, and easy to talk to. We knew right away she had plenty of experience and truly has it all together :) It made us feel at ease as far as setting our deadlines before the big day. We did our food tasting with Erica and she was so sweet and knowledgeable! She really took care of us with food and beer tastings. Absolutely everyone loved the food selection. We went with coconut shrimp and chicken skewers for appetizers, chimmichurri steak and honey pepper salmon for entrees, and mashed potatoes and veggies for sides. Everything was so good - but the steak was my personal fave! We had 80-85 quests and it felt like the perfect amount of people with seating. Not too cramped, very spacious while also feeling like it was so intimate and private as far as the venue itself was. As you look around you see the tall buildings surrounding you with hanging lights and beautiful greenery. Again - so memorable and unlike your typical "indoor hall" wedding. They even include cocktail tables, patio furniture, and heat lamps. Our wedding was at night in October and weather was PERFECT. We danced all night and had the absolute best DJ (not affiliated with the venue, but highly recommend Mike "DJ Space" if you look him up!) who really complimented the LA rooftop vibe. The price minimum is very reasonable considering what you're getting. We are still in awe of our special day and we could not be more happy of how the night went. Worth every penny. We didn't catch their names, but the server and bar staff that night took excellent care of us. At no point did we not have a full drink and they kept asking us (bride and groom) if we needed anything. You guys are amazing and made us feel so special. So if you're thinking of planning your reception here- JUST DO IT. Jacey, Erica, and their amazing events team will take great care of you. Thanks for making our day so memorable!

Wait staff is the worst. I stay at the hotel all the time and the service gets worse every time I visit. Nothing like being treated as if you're inconveniencing the restaurant you go to support. Never going back

We recently had our wedding shower here and it was the perfect place to have it. We had around 120 people and it was just the right size venue. I didn't provide seating for all 120 since we had such a short event and most of our guests were up and about mingling around. And this was by my choice, they were more than willing to give me enough tables for everyone, but I wanted more standing room. The space is super beautiful, we didn't bring too much for decorations, mostly bud vases for the tables (will definitely post pictures when I get them). It's in a pretty private area. There was some sort of convention going on in the hotel and saw some people try to enter our event, but the staff were on top of it to make sure it was only our guests. Jacey is extremely easy to work with and answered all of my questions in a timely manner. On the day of our event, we had Erica manage it and she was great too and super easygoing. I love an event staff that helps makes things easier for you. My partner and I actually never visited this venue before booking and I wish I did, just so that I can give super clear instructions to our guests on how to find the venue. Everyone eventually found it, but it can feel a little like a maze inside the hotel. Everyone kept complimenting the venue and the location and we knew we chose the right spot for our wedding shower.

Visiting California and staying at the Westin Bonadventure Hotel in downtown. Our bartender and server were so friendly and attentive. The ahi salad and arrabbiata pasta was really delicious. The bread pudding & ice cream was the best we've had. It's a bar/restaurant which offers variety of alcohol & beer and their menu offered many options from appetizers and entrees. Glad we checked this place out in the hotel.

The food is good, and surprisingly they have rice. And Katherine is a great server. Very attentive and polite.

I hosted a company event on the roof deck with 20 people and it was absolutely PERFECT! Beautiful space and Katherine Diaz made us feel at home with the food and service. 10/10.

Had a great time at the Bonaventure. Rachel and Mila are the best! They had to deal with a difficult customer that was upset with how poppin it was but handled it with grace.

This place gets two stars because the brewery is in a great space. The patio outside is perfect to have a drink. The problem here are the beers. First off, the menu is subpar. They offer like five house beers. If they actually put some effort into making good craft beer this place would be a premier brewery in LA. I got a shandy. They put way too much lemonade in there. Tasted more lemonade than anything. I'll cross my fingers that they see the light and start to brew good beer.

Sometimes you're exhausted from traveling and just want to eat in the hotel, I understand that. But find something elsewhere. The service was friendly but glacially slow and the food was awful (rubbery fish and chips, dry/grayish burgers, the saddest looking fish tacos I've ever seen) except for the steaks. Several beers on the list weren't available. They had the oddest assortment of chairs I've ever seen around a restaurant table (some really high, some really low...like a Goldilocks situation) and the ambiance sucked (think slightly sticky generic airport style restaurant without the hustle and bustle). I can only imagine the reviewers who described it as romantic are either A) referring the revolving restaurant on the 35th floor B) experiencing a separate vendor/caterer they use for weddings in the outdoor space C) on drugs. This place is about as romantic as an ingrown toenail.

Mila and Rachel were doing great dealing with a customer who was having a meltdown saying the bar was too loud. I thought they did great with how they handled her, they were super awesome and provided great service to me and my friend, no complaints here!!! Will definitely come back for them :)

TLDR: find a different place, downtown is full of better places. Dingy atmosphere, awful service, no idea if the food is good or not. I went there with my family for dinner. Nobody bothered to sit us down (there is a "Please wait to be seated" sign) for a few minutes, then someone waved us in. Okay, whatever, we found a nice spot on the terrace/rooftop plaza. We waited for a long time and nobody came. The servers clearly saw us and made eye contact multiple times yet they didn't come over. The food selection looked decent but we weren't able to get any food (or drinks) in a reasonable timeframe. We left once a very loud argument started at the table next to us (behind the glass), that was our breaking point. If you're in the Westin Bonaventure hotel, try the other restaurants or just go downtown.

back at the westin bonaventure and heading to the 4th floor where most of the various restaurants and stores are located (mall like environment)...little depressing to see all the "closed" signs and most of the restaurants and stores gone...one mart open, k'grill korean restaurant and bonaventure brewing company which is a bar/restaurant...taking a lap around the concrete circle and deciding on bonaventure brewing company...self-seating and taking the bar...menu provided and requesting a diet coke $3.75 with refills...variety of items offered ranging from burgers and sandwiches to salad/soups and poke bowls... taking a bonaventure burger $18...watching sports on the screen while waiting...mostly empty inside on a friday afternoon with a sprinkling of people here and there...burger arriving with a mound of skinny crispy fries and pickle wedge...burger was fat and barely able to bite...while it looked nice and big, burger which was request medium was bit dense and dry...fries were good and burger was okay...after tax and tip, expect to pay about $30 for a meal and drink...

Food was just average. Worst part was the stench. This place needs a serious cleaning. Come and sniff for yourself! Would recommend takeout?

Service was the worst I've ever had, bartender acted put-out because I was alone and wanted to sit outside (no where near full on the patio or inside), ordered food and a beer at the bar, only time anyone came to my table was to drop food, had to go to bar to pay tab. Food: average bar fare (Poke Bowl). Beer: slightly above below average, for a brewery, granted I had only one. Atmosphere fine, service was severely lacking and they didn't appear at all busy, I think they may have been swapping shifts however; hence two stars instead of one for the benefit of doubt.

Rachel was one of the most attentive servers! She made sure we had everything we needed and was extremely personable! Oh and order the cheesecake it was AMAZING!!

Booked a reservation for a work gathering. Food was delicious. Everyone loved what they had. It was easy to accommodate a large group. The host and waitress were all very nice and made our meal wonderful. We will definitely go back. We had a lovely view by the window. So whole meal was enjoyable.

Patrick, Rachel, and Jose made our visit. We come to the hotel several times a year and we love the service, but this visit made our day.

For a restaurant inside the (mostly vacant) retail side of a massive hotel, I was pretty impressed with Bonaventure Brewing. I was staying at this Westin for the LA Marathon and my boyfriend and I needed a quick bite to eat before we headed to the expo. We just went to the place nearest by, which happened to be in the hotel. Stopped in on a Friday during Lent and surprisingly, they had lots of great meatless options. I went with a Veggie Burger and my boyfriend got the fish & chips. I also had to order a beer, mostly because it's a Brewing Company, and also because their main beer is called "Marathon." Hello!?! Couldn't pass that up and I'm sure it helped fuel me to run 26.2 miles around LA a few days later. ;) The bartender was really awesome. I felt like he could have been really stressed trying to manage so many orders alone and their computer/credit card system kept failing. But he was so kind and upbeat. I would have been so overwhelmed if in his shoes! We sat outside out on the rooftop patio and had great weather and a decent view. Really enjoyed our lunch here! We also came back the next day for dinner just to eat a healthy meal before the race. I opted for the salmon. It originally came out undercooked, but as soon as I pointed that out to them, they quickly got me another one. I'd definitely recommend going during the day and sitting on the patio (at nighttime, it probably gets too cold to eat outside). Eating inside here is kinda depressing because it's only you and 2-3 other tables. I feel bad for the waitstaff and wish they got more business here. I for sure enjoyed my experience and would go back (but most likely only if I'm staying at the hotel).

Please book your next event at the Bonaventure Brewing Company! It was such a pleasure to work with Erica and Jacey. Planning any event especially for kids is tough but they made every run so smoothly and we had such an amazing time. Views were great, food was so yummy and the staff was so great.

So happy this was at the Westin... my ahi tuna salad was a real healthy option with fresh spinach and prob 5 oz of tuna!! Thankful for the service as well. Bartender who took my to go order was so kind!

This is an amazing wedding venue! We had such a great experience getting married here. The staff was all really helpful throughout the entire process, especially Jacey and Erica. On our wedding day everything ran SO smoothly and you can tell that everyone who works there is a pro at events. The chairs were moved from the ceremony area to the reception area in a matter of minutes and everything looked even better than I imagined it! I'm sure they were doing a million more things behind the scenes that I wasn't even aware of, and I didn't need to worry about a thing. The food is also excellent, even for an event with over 80 guests. I have dreams about how fantastic the cheesecake is here and the salmon was perfectly cooked too. The garden setting is perfect for an outdoor wedding in LA and I loved how many flowers were in bloom. This was a great wedding venue because we were able to personalize a lot of things and make it our own, but BBC took care of a lot of the details I didn't want to have to worry about myself (like hiring bartenders or ordering linens). The pricing is all very reasonable. I would definitely recommend having an event here!

It's a convenient location to grab a beer if you're staying in the hotel. Located on the fourth floor, it felt a little tucked away and could be easy to miss. It's also connected to their outdoor patio which seemed like a nice area but I didn't check it out. They serve food too, although it did come out very slowly, even though it wasn't a busy night. They also provide the option to host private events.

Drink were good but the food was below average / average. Their service isn't the restraunt type so it's a bit slower but overall the drinks were the highlight of this meal. If you want good food go to their LA Prime location. Their food is really good put a price point with an excellent view of Downtown.

Night out with friends or a romantic date. Overall, Bonaventure is a hidden gem that you won't want to miss. From the atmosphere to the drinks to the service, everything about this place is wonderful. So if you're looking for a new spot to check out, be sure to give Bonaventure a try. You won't be disappointed! We loved Rachel so much, so sweet and had great energy and made us feel so welcome.

Jacey and her team made my event better than I ever expected. That day, the set up was smooth, they made accommodations for the weather and all of my interactions with them were so pleasant! Before the event I had LOTS of questions, and Jacey was quick to respond with the information I needed. Again, always pleasant and helpful. The venue is a beautiful garden patio with food and beverage set up, surround sound music system, and AV capability. If you want your event to have a casual elegance, warm inviting atmosphere, I would definitely recommend Bonaventure Brewing Company.

This place was so great! I was at the hotel for an event and was pleasantly surprised by how wonderful the staff was and how delicious the drinks were. The cool dark ambiance was as a refreshing change from the heat outside. And they even helped us snap a few pictures for our group!

We held my daughter's wedding at the Bonaventure brewing in the outside deck yesterday. Jayce did an absolutely amazing job, and the wedding went off without a hitch just because of her. We absolutely adored working with her, and she made all of my daughter's dreams come true. We cannot thank her enough for everything she did above and beyond. We highly recommend doing events and weddings in this area with her. I wanted to add how amazing all the staff was. Our bartender was amazing as well. We adored all of them.

Just had my 20th anniversary celebration here. The service was amazing, Jacey and Ericka were so helpful coordinating the event with me, the place was beautiful, and the food was delicious. Sliders were great & they serve homemade chips that are perfectly salty + crunchy! However, unsure why you'd go there unless you're at the hotel, unless you're server is Ivy who has a great attitude.

I don't write a ton of reviews however, the food was phenomenal as well as the service. Rachel is the best and if she is working you should ask for her 10/10!

Bonaventure's big appeal was the option for outdoor seating. As mentioned in a prior review, the first few levels of the Westin are pretty dark - Bonaventure is on the 4th floor (along with the pool) and provided the opportunity for some much needed sunlight. The seating is next to some great green space, the pool deck and an area for outdoor events. The addition of greenery was very welcome. I sampled some of their beer and wasn't really impressed, but enjoyed the food - the poke tostados were amazing.
