The Best Korean Restaurants In The San Gabriel Valley - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Parked in a little plaza on Las Tunas with a few other restaurants and a rolled ice cream spot, this popular KFC chain usually has a short but consistent line outside. The style is the Korean fried chicken you know - lightly-battered, twice-fried - but the soy garlic is less gloopy than at other places that go too liberal with the sauce. Whether you dig that is up to you, but whatever you do, don’t neglect the spicy chicken. The lunch box special contains wings, drumsticks, or strips, plus a choice of two sides including soda, danmuji pickled radish, steamed rice, coleslaw, or kimchi, and will only set you back $9-$11. For the anti-KFC, there’s a decent tteokbokki, tasty japchae, and fiery buldak (stir-fried spicy chicken with rice cakes and mozzarrella)." - dakota kim

Best Fast-Food Fried Chicken in America: The Bracket | Eater

"The half-and-half combo of drumsticks and wings — split between soy-garlic and spicy sauces — is celebrated for glossy, lacquered pieces with a punchy sweet/savory/salty soy glaze and a fiery spicy counterpart; the sauces are addictively flavorful and the double-fried skin stays crisp even at room temperature. Some tasters found the meat a bit dry at times, and the spicy glaze loses intensity when cold, but overall the crunchy skin and bold sauces make it a repeatable, picnic-friendly favorite." - Eater Staff

The Wait Is Finally Over For Bonchon’s Korean Fried Chicken - Eater Seattle

"The highly anticipated arrival of Korean fried chicken chain Bonchon is finally here. The popular chain opened its First Hill restaurant over the weekend, though it’s holding limited hours with a smaller menu for now. Still, that hasn’t stopped fans from lining up out the door for the likes of double-fried wings, drumsticks, chicken tenders, and Korean dishes like bibimbap, pork buns, and rice cakes." - Megan Hill

10 Best Korean Fried Chicken Spots in Los Angeles | Eater LA

"Though more recent Korean immigrants might scratch their heads (there are only a handful of Bonchon locations in the motherland), thoughtful touches like exclusively offering strips (no) and drumsticks (yes) ease diners into BonChon’s perfect marriage of salty-sweet soy garlic glaze and the schmaltzy, shattering crunch of chicken skin. Waits at its SGV location can range into Howlin’ Rays territory, but Korean fried chicken zealots eagerly crowd the entrance and peer longingly at diners seemingly taking their sweet time inside. It’s all proof positive that BonChon is in a category by itself." - Euno Lee

Google
This location looks like they’re going out of business. It’s also graded B. The rice looked a little yellow and the coleslaw was dry. But we came here for chicken. It was good and crunchy like any other locations we’ve eaten. Overall a 4.

Google
They have a $1 wings deal ( dine in only) on mon and tues so we went n got us 15 soy garlic wings. It was delicious and crunchy as always ( been to many franchise of this brand) but $6 for the little fries in the photo feels a bit pricy. Inside was very quiet no music at all. Food came out quick as we were the only table but i imagine it could be quite crowded on the weekend since this is a popular k chicken brand. Ranch/ any sauce is not complimentary ( 70c for one). I like the pickled daikon a lot and it’s a good amount in that tub for $2.50. Overall this deal make it worth the price, normally is quite pricy so glad we went n enjoyed it.

Please update your time system, owner. This restaurant accepts online orders to be picked up at 9:30PM. I ordered at 9:23PM but the order need to be picked up before 9:30PM. I gave a rating of three stars because the young lady provided good customer service. She was polite and friendly while explaining what happened. I arrived at 10 PM, and the store was already closed, with the lights off. She kindly gave me a refund receipt, but I was still charged a 99-cent convenience fee. The owner needs to address those issues (Online order system and Google Bonchon's time of operation). On Google Maps, it said your store closed at 10:30PM. I've been there a couple of times, and their customer service are good and friendly.

Google
Got a spicy chicken sandwich combo with fries to go. About $14 but very much worth it. The chicken is very juicy, crunchy and flavorful. The fries are thick and flavorful, nothing crazy but they complement the sandwich very well. It was my first time trying this spot and I’m happy to come back and try other items on the menu.

Google
Food was amazing but I ordered a 8 piece drumstick and only received 7 pieces. Wouldn't be such a big deal but for the price it costs you kinda expect to get everything you paid for. Will return though

Lissette Hernandez

Google
It’s pricy for sure. I got the soy garlic 3 drums w/ fries and Korean donut meal (doesn’t come with a drink), my hubby got the spicy chicken sandwich w/ fries (also no drink included). Total was $35. However, I really enjoy their chicken I have yet to try their wings but so far I haven’t been disappointed. Chicken isn’t dry & is full of flavor. The sandwich was spicy but pared well with the brioche bun and the coleslaw. Dipping sauce is extra too.

Rob & Raiden

Google
Chicken wasn't bad little pricey for my taste, 15 dlrs for 8 strips or wings barely a side that comes with, no dipping sauce included..me personally don't like places that "nickel and dime" you, ...the 1 table spoon of coleslaw that u do get as a side taste terrible,no flavor extremely bland...1st and last time my son and I are coming here. Then too top it all off their restroom sticks so bad😱🥴🤮

Google
Bonchon Korean Fried Chicken is a must-visit spot if you’re in Artesia! We started with the beef tacos, and they were packed with flavor—tender beef, perfectly seasoned, and topped with just the right amount of fresh ingredients. Then came the chicken, which was an absolute 5/5. My favorite was the new seasonal “Yangneon” flavor—sweet, spicy, and incredibly satisfying with every bite. We paired it with crispy, golden fries and the bibimbap rice dish, which was hearty, well-balanced, and a great complement to the bold flavors of the chicken. Everything was so good that we couldn’t leave without ordering more to-go! If you’re looking for delicious, crave-worthy Korean flavors, Bonchon is definitely worth a visit.

Yelp
Update: 9.16.2024: Returned here after 2 years since my friends wanted some fried chicken, and I honestly didn't think much about my last experience. Last time I was here I got sick from the food. But in all honesty, I forgot that I had gotten sick so I had no negative reaction when I walked in. It wasn't until I had seen I already reviewed this location that I realized that I had given a negative review that I remembered the last time I was here. Walked in, was more busy than the last time I came in (no customers were in the store last time, this time there was a short line). Staff was in a rush so I was patient, and they were really trying their best to deal with the rush. They did a pretty good job and they were efficient in getting everyone their food. Staff was friendly, this time they did not ask for a yelp review, which this time I kind of wished they did since my experience with the servers were really helpful and I appreciated the positive service. They were quick with taking my order, and I really appreciated that he was not rushing us even with the rush he had experienced. Food came out in like 15 minutes, super quick and they did a really good job at helping us all out. Got the Soy Garlic wings again, and again I really enjoyed them. Didn't get the spicy this time but its not that bad from what I remember. And honestly, that's everything I have to say about them. They had a good amount of meat and they weren't dry at all, well sauced and it had flavor that I really enjoyed. Im glad to know that the food was consistently good and that my memory was correct. We didn't stay inside the shop that long, we took our food to go and it was good. What I can say is that the decoration was nice and it had a nice looking environment. They had some music, didn't pay much attention to it, but everything was clean and I would eat there in the future. I came to yelp to see what I had said last time I was at this location. I was really surprised I had given it such a negative review. When I read it, I remembered what I had experienced, and I am glad to report that I was not sick. I was in on September 16th, 2 years after my last review. I saw that management had reached out (I really don't look at my reviews after I post them, and rarely will respond to comments left under them) and I never reached out to them. I hope they see that the experience I had last time had to have been a one-off experience (however I will take a free meal for that experience lol [just kidding]). I want to come back, I'm not in the area anymore but if I am I will probably come back. Glad that management is involved with the location and I am glad that my experience last time was just an outlier experience. Overall I am happy with my experience. Rarely do I see management care about the customers to that extent, and I appreciate their effort to reach out after my experience. I have seen mixed reviews about service, but its just one of those things where some employees will be better than others, because my cashiers were helpful. I will comeback in the future when I am in the area again.

Yelp
Pros: -Clean, contemporary interior -Decent location -Ample parking Cons: -Terrible food, virtually inedible: The chicken was burnt, dry. -Unsafe to eat: I had diarrhea

Yelp
First time trying Bonchon, and as a fan of Korean fried chicken, it exceeded all my expectations! We ordered the soy garlic and original drumsticks. The crunch on them was incredible. Also, it was thick and did not lack meat at all. Also ordered a side of fries and the noodles which were a great recommendation by the cashier. Will definitely be coming back.

Yelp
This establishment serves the best Korean fried chicken *I've* ever had thus far. Every bite of skin was crispy, the meat was always tender & juicy, and the soy garlic flavor is so delicious to me that it's the only flavor I've been able to get. And I've been here a handful of times. The garlic fries are great as well. Generously seasoned, very crispy, and the garlic punches you which I'm definitely a fan of. The donuts are nice as well. Not to sweet with a pillowy interior and slightly crunchy exterior. I love this chicken so much that any time I'm nearby I HAVE to come by and at least get a small order of deliciousness...

Mi L.

Yelp
Terrible food. Dry, burnt chicken. The worst Korean chicken joint I've ever eaten at.

Man L.

Yelp
I've been to just about every Korean chicken place in the area including Pelicana, Goobne, BBQ chicken, Puradak, Padak, etc. and Bonchon is easily the worst one for serving dry, burnt chicken to me and my colleagues. I'm a korean chicken connoisseur and if you want to end any relationship immediately, recommend this place to someone, I dare you.

Yelp
When my husband and I crave fried chicken, this is where we go, but we more often visit the Fountain Valley location.

Yelp
Bonchon is one of my favorite Korean fried chicken chains and they never seem to disappoint. It's been a while since I've been back to Bonchon and it's the first time for me at the Artesia location. Service was quick for dine-in on a weeknight and it was a casual vibe. They have new flavors like Yangnyeom as well. Glad to see their menu updated! Note: their fountain drinks for this location are Stubborn sodas, but have canned sodas available as well.

Yelp
Disgusting customer service... literally incompetent workers here who shouldn't be anywhere near a workplace. Fire all the staff and learn how to train people properly. Don't make people wait an insane amount of time and not solve the problem. Hopefully this place gets shut down. Found rat dropping in the bathroom as well no wonder they have a B rating. Disgusting won't step in here again gross.

Yelp
Came here for the Takoyaki they show on the website but when I asked they told me they don't have it. Pretty frustrating to have something advertised when they don't have ibut I ordered the fried rice, honestly it was mediocre at best, there's not much flavor to the rice itself, pretty bland :( I'm sure the Korean chicken is good as that was what most people were ordering while I was there

Yelp
We ordered delivery. The chicken was really delicious, however upon counting the chicken two drumsticks were missing. We think the delivery guy took a tip. All the restaurants need to put tamperproof packaging of the delivery containers so the food is not easily taken. The delivery guy should get an F because he honked from the street for my girl to come out and get the food. Hopefully we hear back from the manager about the chicken experience.

Yelp
Good chicken rice and daikon! We enjoyed takeout from here, I recommend the miso garlic one. Service was above average, would come back here for sure
google avatar

Lilia V.

Yelp
Food is great. Customer service sucks! This isn't the first time we try to come in for TAKE OUT and are greeted with an annoyed look. At 8:20 all the chairs are already on the tables and the screens are turned off. We ask if they're still taking orders and we get the big sigh and the look amongst themselves before answering with yes but made it very clear it's take out. I get it, if it's slow early on you want to get the cleaning done so you can go home on time, but it's over an hour before closing and treating patrons like they're a burden is no way to run a business. Especially with the many options for this type of food within driving distance.
google avatar

Yelp
Their menu is updated, they no longer have the 12 piece wings. Delicious and crispy! Good size drum sticks and flats! They're quick also!

Jenn C.

Yelp
Best Korean fried chicken ever. I usually get the spicy wings and they are ACTUALLY spicy. Good combo with the pickled radish. 10/10 recommend.

Yelp
I had lunch at this Artesia location with a friend. It's a fast-casual place where you order at the counter and your food is brought to your table. They have several chicken plates but are mainly known for their chicken wings/drumsticks. I decided on one of their lunch specials: 6 piece bone-in chicken with fries and a drink. I don't do spicy so requested 3 pieces with the garlic-soy coating and 3 pieces with the traditional Korean coating. Their soda machine was out of order so I was offered a canned beverage of my choice from their cooler by the pleasant and patient woman at the counter (I grabbed an A&W root beer). I took my first bite of one of the pieces....CRUNCH! Yah, that was loud. The coating was the most deliciously crunchy I've ever had. The flavor of both coatings were fantastic (they tasted the same to me but one had a mild garlic taste) and neither was spicy. The meat itself was hot, tender, and moist. The amount of meat on the wings and drums was plentiful, not the pathetically meager amount one often gets on the tiny pieces served at BWW and other places. To the best of my recollection this might be the best Korean fried chicken I've had. The delectable fries had a crunchy coating as well. The serving size was large considering the wallet-pleasing price of this lunch special. I'll definitely be back and hope they open more locations nearer to me.

Yelp
The ambiance is clean and sufficient cabling of tables. It wasn't really busy when we went around 11:30am. We ate in. While there, about 3 other patrons visited. The young lady at the counter was extremely helpful with descriptions and suggestions. Very knowledgeable. My sister and I both got the first combo-4 wings and 2 drumsticks. I got half soy garlic and half KBBQ. My sister got all soy garlic. We both wish we could mix the 2 flavors I got as the soy garlic was too sweet for us. We thought all KBBQ chicken was a bit spicy but there was no spice on these. Also, we would get all wings next time. The drumsticks were huge but we both noticed the skin on the drumsticks were not attached to the meat, leaving a space. Thought that was weird but didn't take away from the taste. I was also bummed their soda machine was gone as they have the best kinds. Hopefully it's just a short time. Overall, I'd give this place a B and might try it again. It wasn't mind blowing but tasty.

Yelp
Came in from Tucson and this place came highly recommended by our friend and they did not disappoint. Fried chicken strips half soy garlic and the other half yang yum were amazing! Definitely a 5 star meal. Chicken fried rice fell a little short in the flavor and I've never had it with red bell peppers before so it wasn't my favorite. Store was very nice and clean with plenty of seating and our server was very friendly.
google avatar

Yelp
DISAPPOINTED! Their menu display has old pricing! This was taken Feb 15, 2024. I was wondering why my receipt total was much higher than what I had computed in my head. When I asked why the price billed was different, the lady said the menu board has old prices. They need a sign somewhere saying that! FOOD: We love their wings, Bulgogi tacos, and Japchae.
google avatar

matt g.

Yelp
Good not great but I liked the kimchi mixed in. The bread was good maybe a little too much for the pieces of chicken. The chicken was flavorless and dry. I expected a whole chicken breast instead of chicken strips. The box was a fun little touch. But I'll try their wings next time.
google avatar

Jeremy B.

Yelp
We're here waiting for our food. Just a little bummed about the experience. This is our second time here. Our first time, was a few months ago. We were craving wings, and haven't been back, so here we are. They are popular in the Philippines, and are very delicious. Bummed because we paid over $70 for our food, expecting a small thing: a fountain drink. Refillable, refreshing Stubborn soda. Instead, we paid the combo deal for a water bottle or canned drink! That's not what I'm paying for when I chose the combo. It even says on their menu! That's FALSE ADVERTISING. You drew me in to purchase a combo, and not give what you're offering. Really disappointed. Another issue. The nice cashier told us they would serve our food in "to-go" boxes/bags because they're closing in 30 min. Really? We can't eat our food on plates? We arrived at 9:28pm. They supposedly close at 10pm. But their schedule on Yelp says 10:30pm. Not updated? One more. The kitchen crew are consistently and constantly shouting. They're not even communicating any orders, it's not busy. We're the only people. And were yelling, "Aahhh!" Or a "Yooouuww!" The food is usually good with them. But we will not be returning. We can always get good Korean wings in a lot of places. Hopefully they "fix" their machine. We were told it was broken. They must've not paid a bill? Or "saving"?
google avatar

Peter S.

Yelp
It's been 14 days since I reached out to Bonchon management, per their request to follow up. Have not received any communication back. Seems to be a copy and paste response to all the negative reviews. Unsure if this is their general PR or local management handling the feedback. The lack of empathy that was reflected by the restaurant is clearly showing on the corporate side as well. Poor leadership. Poor customer service. Poor loyalty to their clients.
google avatar

Phi N.

Yelp
Went with the half spicy/half soy garlic 8 piece wings. The skin was pretty crispy and the spicy wings had a little bit of heat, but the flavors aren't really for me.
google avatar

Sylvia S.

Yelp
The chicken is fire.... but the service? It was our first time there and the cashier was a bit rude. It wasn't busy, we were actually only the second customers in there. Thumbs down bro. We ordered wings with a cole slaw and the slaw wasn't even filled to the top. Other than that the place was pretty clean.
google avatar

Chris H.

Yelp
I've been here a few times sampling different items from their fried rice to their Korean tacos to their wings, and the one thing I have noticed is that this place is consistent. The flavor permeates throughout the dishes and you can tell they are taking the time to ensure you have a great meal. From the front and the support the cashier provides in input and feedback to the cleanliness of the location to the food itself, everything is well maintained. I also love the fact that they use the Stubborn brand sodas here. I ordered the 8-piece combo (1/2 soy garlic and 1/2 spicy) for my most recent visit. With the combo came a drink, radish, and french fries. The wings were crisp and flavorful. I shared it with my little one and she enjoyed the soy garlic wings. My only critique is that the spicy isn't really spicy. The radish was fresh and the french fries were crispy. I'll definitely be coming by here more often.
google avatar

Yelp
Bonchon in Cerritos is surprisingly quiet; there were hardly any customers when I visited. However, the staff was welcoming and efficient. The taste is almost identical to Kyochon.

Yelp
I've been to the one in Costa Mesa a few times and i've never had a bad experience. my girlfriend wanted to try this one out since it just opened and it's much closer. wow was it terrible. the cashier wasnt very friendly or attentive. her name was Talaiya. we got an 8pc wing combo, a chicken sandwich, and pork buns. roughly $50 for the two of us. we were told the soda machine was broken so we bought some canned sodas. but when we got a water cup we used the machine and tested the other ones and it worked fine. just a very weird thing to say. food came out and it was very bad. not only was the food not good but when the cashier gave it to us she was dragging her feet around and just dropped the tray on the table without saying anything to us. she didn't even ask whose food was whose. my gf thought her wings were fine, the fries were pretty good actually. my chicken sandwich was not crispy at all just hard. like it's been sitting or just massively over cooked. the pork bun was the most disappointing tho. the bread for the pork bun was literally a struggle to bite through. as we ate with a friend of ours, the cashier was walking about just dragging her feet and staring at us. it made it very uncomfortable to be in there eating. i would recommend any of the other restaurants in this plaza before even considering here. i probably won't even eat at the one in costa mesa anymore.

Yelp
Tried the one in Huntington Beach and it was delicious! I wanted to share with some friends so we came to this one in Artesia. They were out of boneless chicken but thankfully they still had strips. I have to say the coleslaw here is not as good as the one in Huntington Beach. It was bland and watery at this location. The girl at the register was sweet and very helpful. I don't think I would come back to this location.

Deric C.

Yelp
Wings are perfect again Korean bbq wings crispy flavorful, seasoned fries with ranch is great. Always leave a review when I eat here.

Katheryn C.

Yelp
Called to order the Artesia Restaurant Week special and the service was extremely rude. We tried asking to order the special and she stated it doesn't exist and we can't order it. We decided to go in instead because the special was posted on the City of Artesia website and we were hoping it was easier to discuss in person. The same girl didn't even realize it was us that called and still was rude. Even worse, she was the only one working besides the cooks. We left without any food because of the frustration. Why join the city's restaurant week if you're not going to even honor the special... terrible and frustrating experience.
google avatar

Nica E.

Yelp
Leaving a review to say that the manager is very nice and attentive. We were a family of 10 and he even gave us a free tray of fries. As for the food, it came and tasted as expected. The restaurant is clean too, most people just get to-go so we were the only ones in-store.
google avatar

Nam T.

Yelp
Food is good. Chicken is crunchy and crispy. Love the wings and drumsticks. Only reason for the -3 stars is because I like to order for pick up using their app. Twice already they have failed to promise to have the food ready by the pick up time. I don't understand why but this is a BIG problem and they need to work on the timeliness or their orders. Why have an promised time for pick up when you are not going to honor it and work hard on making sure the order is ready at that time!? I am very disappointed by this problem occurring twice to me already. Word of advice: arrive 10-15 mins after your pick up time so you are not stuck waiting at their store due to their inexplicable tardiness.

Yelp
Believe it or not, I actually used to make mac & kimcheese pretty often at home. It all started with some leftover mac & cheese and a jar of kimchi that was about to expire. I figured why not and ended up mixing in the kimchi, and suffice to say the experiment was a complete success! So much so that I was surprised I had never seen mac & kimcheese offered at Korean fast food or fusion restaurants before, given how delicious the makeshift dish turned out to be. I mean I get that it's a somewhat unusual combination that most people wouldn't think of off the bat, but still. Anyways, I was excited to see that Bonchon offers my favorite mac & kimcheese, and even better, it was as delicious as I remember! I loved the combination of my childhood favorite mac & cheese with the sour, tangy, & spicy flavors of kimchi. If that sounds appealing to you then I recommend giving Bonchon a try. This is a Korean fried chicken spot so they obviously have a lot of chicken options, but I only really came for the mac & kimcheese and can't speak on the other items. Interior is spacious and clean, and service was friendly and efficient.

Yelp
drove almost an hour to come eat here and the Employee in the front Emily was extremely rude and created a very hostile environment and refused to help us because we are gay. I've been coming to Bonchon for years first time visiting this location and unfortunately will not be returning due to homophobia. shame on emily for mistreating customers based on their sexuality

Yelp
Wow. Amazing taste and chrunch! Not sure if I can go back to regular fried chicken anymore. Wings are fun and delightful. Drumsticks ate good but very filling. The complementary radishes help as an acidic side to the protein. Ate this the next day (via microwave) and was still delicious.

Yelp
Ah, Bonchon. I was excited to try this place out, but for me, this was a pass. I thought the prices were steep here, and the food wasn't worth it. With several great Korean fried chicken places already in the area, there's a certain level of expectation set by Padak and BBQ Chicken. I'm hoping it was an off day, but it didn't really meet the bar. Here's what we ordered- 6 PIECE WINGS, SOY GARLIC - $10.95 Good crispy skin, but half my order was decent but not juicy, the other half was straight up dry and not edible. The soy garlic was a little saltier compared to BBQ Chicken's. The flavoring seemed one-dimensional compared to BBQ Chicken's. On the bright side, the radish was very fresh from this place, fresher than all the BBQ Chicken locations I've tried. Lol. CHICKEN SANDWICH, SPICY - $11.95 This was alright, but dry and not juicy in the middle. Drier than all the Nashville hot chicken places in the area. Mayo was overpowering, couldn't really taste the kimchee flavor. JAPCHAE - $15.95 Supposedly had marinated rib eye. I saw tiny specs of meat in it, but not enough to consider it a decent portion. This was great, flavorful, but for the price, the portions were tiny. This place is located in the same plaza as 99 Ranch and Daiso along Pioneer Blvd. The service was great and very friendly, and it looked very clean with plenty of space for seating. Overall, decent place if you ~want to try something new ~. But meh, I took the bullet and did it for y'all. (shrug) In my opinion, not worth the steep prices.

Yelp
Sorry ladies and gents- the food was not good and the experience way sub par. It's mostly because I have a problem with liars. Let's start with the pros: I think it will get better, and the parking is easy. Oh, and they had Stubborn soda. This place just opened... a week ago? I could be wrong, but it was very recent. Food: everything came out cold. They warned us that it might be a 45min wait for the order, so we were prepared, but then the food came out downright chilly. Well, lukewarm. They claimed that they called our name several times over the course of 5 minutes, but that was a total and utter lie. We sat right near the counter and heard our name on the first call. Either way, the food wouldn't have been cold after a few minutes. This place is understaffed or poorly trained. Someone's food sat out for the entire time that we were there, and there was serious confusion behind the counter. Vegetarian review: - fries were good. Crispy (cold, but still good). I'd say they were the best part of the meal. - Veggie potstickers might have been good on their own, but the soy glaze probably fulfilled my entire sodium intake for a week. They were fried potstickers doused in soy glaze- just, dunked in it as an afterthought. - pickled radishes: standard, and not worth the extra cost. Well, they made the potstickers edible, so yeah, I guess they were worth getting this time around. But it's a bit ironic that I paid money for them, no? The 12 piece boneless wings were not worth it. They were itty bitty, maybe 1" in diameter. Spicy ones were really spicy, or so I was told. Utensils and napkins were not readily available. I'd say it's not worth a 2nd try.

Yelp
Dang they have some good tasty/crunchy chicken here! I went with the drum sticks half & half, soy garlic/spicy. Chicken came out hot and fresh and some of the best chicken i had! I thought the chicken were little wing stop style drums but no these are regular size drums. I had to take some home. I also got a order of onion rings which were good with ranch dressing. They are located in a shopping center on with the boiling point is. The inside is clean and good variety of fountain drinks. The girl at the front desk was very sweet. Going back for the potstickers and shrimp. Definitely check this place out.

Yelp
Sooo I came in on Saturday after placing my order online. It said it'd be ready at 11:25 so I got there a few mins early on the chance it might be ready. Welp, they hadn't even started yet as they were still technically opening up. So I asked to cancel since I was short on time and super hungry. Pending refund :) Today I went in and it was an almost seamless transactions. A little slow but they're BRAND NEW so I'll cut slack. Bon chon is iconic! They started the KFC craze. First time having it was 10+ years ago in ktown. Chicken was bamb. The radish was so crisp n fresh. Delish! Best I've had. Coleslaw was also on point. I really liked the chicken but... not more than Bunker21 next plaza over. Bunker has more of a gastro pub vibe while this has more of a casual non-alcoholic family vibe. Either is a good option in my opinion.

Yelp
The wings come out crisp on then outside and perfectly cooked and juicy each time. Cravings satisfied! Super cute decor inside. The staff are amazing.

Yelp
Was on the way and called to ask for the hours. Told by Eric that it closes at 10 but kitchen closes at 9:15. He stated that the wait for two was 45 minutes and that "there were a lot of orders." We decided to still come bc our ETA was 8:30. When we got here there was only a party of two and it was empty. No one came to pick up any online orders during our entire meal. Received our meal within 10 mins of ordering. Asked if they had any salt and he said no without checking. Interesting for a restaurant/kitchen to have no salt. Food was great, but we were so turned off by the service and felt like customers weren't wanted an hour and a half before closing. Not the type to really ever write reviews, but the customer service let us down after being excited to have Bonchon after a long day of moving.

Yelp
Avoid going to this bonchon location their service is not the best. Online it says they close at 9:30 we showed up at 8:30 and the girl working there claimed it was closed. I along with another customer were very disappointed that they turned us back. I read the reviews and had hope, since the San Gabriel location has elite service and their food is AMAZING. The employees at this Artesia Location are a disgrace to the company name. Please get better employees.

Yelp
I haven't been to Bonchon in years!!!!! I was craving a good wing and thought of this place since they just opened up one in artesia. I ordered the spicy and soy garlic 12 PCs. It's still pricey like before and I wish I knew they had an anniversary special $22 for 20 PCs! But I'm glad I tried it still because it's still good like before. The crunch is great and the taste is fantastic. I really liked the spicy flavor!!! My husband thought it was spicy but I enjoyed it a lot with the coleslaw on the side! I would definitely go back again. I can't say much about the rest since I got it to go. I will definitely go back but probably not often because it is a bit pricey for wings. Still. MUST TRY!

Yelp
our new go-to for KFC-korean Fried Chicken, except we always do soy garlic on all of our orders, instead of the usual 50/50 plain and with sauce mix. Kids fully approve, and so do the parents! however, their portion size for the fries that's meant for sharing for an extra $2 needs a lot more fries if its really meant for sharing. Kinda small on that portion but otherwise, very happy to have this in our neighborhood

Yelp
Honestly I love this style of wings. However it's a bit pricey. I am leaving this review specifically because of Pablo: He treated me very well, and handled the transaction exceptionally.

Yelp
Another update it's been 17days it happened still nobody called/email me regarding this matter. Am I the one who will call or go there to the restaurant. That sounds unfair on my side.

Yelp
This place disappointed me so badly. Usually these Korean fried chicken places are good but this one was terrible. The Korean taco was horrible. The skin was like the cheapest store bought tortilla and inside the beef had like this generic store bought Korean sauce poured over the beef. It was just bad. The chicken wings were overcooked. They left it in the oil over frying it. You can taste is burnt underneath the sauce. I really want to give it 0 star and ask for my money back but I rather just leave and just never have anything to do with this place again. Oh and the girl at the counter had an attitude when taking the order too. But that was the least of their problems when your food taste like crap.
