Bonchon Is Finally Frying Spicy Korean Chicken in Stapleton - Eater Denver

"The wait is over for fans of the international Korean fried chicken sensation Bonchon. After summer-long delays, Denver’s first location of the franchise has finally opened at Stapleton’s Northfield development, 8302 Northfield Boulevard, Suite 1590. For those who don’t know, Bonchon sells made-to-order crispy wings and drumsticks coated in a soy garlic or spicy sauce. Sides such as pickled radish and kimchi, and more plates such as pork buns, bulgogi, and bibimbap are also on the menu. Bonchon Stapleton offers alcohol, too, with $3 craft beer and $4 cocktail specials during evening and late-night happy hours. Denver resident Henry Lee is bringing this and one more Bonchon to Denver, with the second location yet to be announced. The Bonchon franchise is based in New York with more than 200 locations around the world. Diners will find Bonchon Stapleton open during limited hours this week, with normal hours coming next week. For now, customers can dine in from 3 to 10 p.m. Thursday, from 11 a.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday, and from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday. For more hours, check the restaurant’s Facebook page." - Josie Sexton

Bonchon Korean Fried Chicken Is Coming to Two Denver Locations | Eater Denver

"Opened by Denver resident and Microsoft employee Henry Lee as the city’s first outpost of a New York–based fried chicken franchise, this Stapleton Northfield location at 8302 Northfield Boulevard, Suite 1590 is slated to debut next month. It focuses on made-to-order crispy wings and drumsticks tossed in soy-garlic or spicy sauce, accompanied by Korean sides like pickled radish and kimchi, and offers larger plates such as pork buns, bulgogi, and bibimbap. The owner discovered the brand while living in Los Angeles and brought it to Denver; he plans to scout additional local sites for a second store. The restaurant will serve alcohol, featuring $3 craft beer and $4 cocktail specials during evening and late-night happy hours, and the parent brand is based in New York with more than 200 locations worldwide." - Josie Sexton

The place is pretty good. We got the rice cakes and sausage on a stick appetizer, loved that. My friend and I ordered Bibimbap. She got the beef one which was pretty good, and I got the spicy chicken. Well, it was quite spicy but delicious too. Although soju adds to the Korean food vibe, the markup on soju drinks is high though.

First time trying this place and will definitely be coming back! Food was tasty and hot. Loved the ambiance and music as well. Great service and not too expensive! :)

Pretty impressed with the potstickers . First time I've ever had them that way. Kimchi could a Lil more heat but great flavors .

Ordered To Go at the counter. Waited in plain view of the staff. They finished my order, placed it behind the counter, and never called my name. Looked right at me... nothing. I didn't know the bag was mine obviously, because they were busy and it could have been anyone's order. After several people, who ordered after me, had left with their orders, I tried to get their attention and finally a staff asked what I was waiting for. I finally got my order, which had been sitting there behind the counter forever. Of course food was cold by the time I got it. Thanks for the cold fries. And cold soggy onion rings. The barely warm Korean Tacos did not have much flavor; they also didn't come with the correct chicken that I ordered. Calling them "Korean" is a real stretch. I'm Korean. Street Corn was good, although somewhat watery. Fries and onion rings were probably good when they were hot, the flavor was there. Not worth it for the cold food and poor service.

My friends and I absolutely love this place. We love the soy garlic wings and the spicy! The fried rice with soy chicken is also fantastic. We keep coming back; the food is excellent every time!

I love bon chon the fried chicken is the best ever 💯🙌🏽 I have been to plenty of Korean fried chicken spots and by far bonchon is the best. There pot stickers are delicious and there bowls are fire. If you love fried chicken and wings then this place is a must. I have been coming here since they first opened. This is where I go when I want good fried chicken I recommend the soy garlic mild the first time. I will definitely be back here again and again

Recently dined at Bonchon Central Park around 8:45 PM and had a mixed experience. We ordered the chicken wings and bibimbap. The wings were a highlight—crispy and packed with flavor, just as we hoped. However, the bibimbap was lukewarm, which was disappointing and not what we expected. On the plus side, the service was attentive and friendly, adding a nice touch to the evening. Overall, while the wings were excellent, the temperature of the bibimbap left something to be desired. I’d consider returning for the wings, but I hope for a more consistent experience next time.

2024 Update: Weekday lunch, came a little after opening so, no problem with table spot. Had to have the chicken (with more to-go) and it's still as good 👍 Also had the Takoyaki, another winner! Service was excellent! 5-⭐ If you haven't tried Bonchon, you have to go! Location : Northfield Stapleton Update : 2nd visit (to-go) Just have to have more of that chicken ! This time, ALSO ordered: Japchae (5-⭐) Popcorn Chicken Upgrading my previous rating of 4-star to 5-star because the food just deserves it. Hoping our next dine in experience will really be in cool comfort. Will definitely be back. 1st visit : Jul 2021 Have been wanting Korean fried chicken and got my craving fixed. Dined-in mid afternoon, weekday, no wait with more tables to spare. Ordered: Popcorn Shrimp 🦐 Bulgogi Fried Chicken (to-go - Half and Half combo/ soy & spicy) and an extra order of pickled radish 5-⭐ 2-👍 up Fried Chicken If you haven't tried Korean fried chicken, I suggest you give it a try. Our server, Mel was very nice, excellent, if I may say so. Outside dining also available but in the height of summer with temps in the mid to high 90s, even the temp/air-conditioning inside was sadly, lacking. This was the only damper to our dining experience. Overall, will definitely be back for more.
