"There’s a corner restaurant in the Mission District — it used to be a pharmacy — that’s the full-stop people’s champion of the breakfast game in San Francisco. No drum roll needed: It’s Boogaloo’s, and, no, not the bizarre online thing. The diner’s tofu fajitas do the lion’s share of the alluring on their own — though elegies and sonnets could be written for the $2.50 bottomless coffee or the mountainous Temple-O-Spuds. What other breakfast entree in San Francisco, which is naturally both gluten-free and vegan, comes with a side of sticky and sweet plantains? The balance in the dish is like a stilt walker doing the splits on the tippy top of Salesforce Tower. Beans and rice are the OG complex protein source for loads of Indigenous communities in the Americas and at Boogaloo’s they’re as delectable as the fajitas themselves. But those fajitas, with their scintillating peppers and onions joined by well-seared tofu, provide the ideal crisp to bracket tofu’s well-known softness — and are as divine as kingdom come. The meaty tomatoes work like a dab of pico de gallo incorporated into the medley. Perhaps the most important highlight on this breakfast’s long list of wonders is the enormous portion. The side salad, with those aforementioned plantains, comes on a separate plate for god’s sake. For any diner lovers in San Francisco, Boogaloo’s can’t be missed. And for those hoping to reach the true summit of the city’s breakfast game, one must try the tofu fajitas. Boogaloo’s, 3296 22nd Street, San Francisco" - Lauren Saria

"Boogaloos, a beloved breakfast and lunch spot in the Mission District, has returned to its original location at 3296 22nd Street. The restaurant faced challenges such as high rent and damage from a 2016 fire, which kept it closed for two years. Now, with rent issues resolved, Boogaloos is back with a familiar menu featuring favorites like vegan herb-cream gravy and the temple o’ spuds. Previously, Boogaloos operated a temporary pop-up at Parada 22 on Haight Street, which will now only offer weekend service." - Caleb Pershan

Google
Snazzy looking and makes a terrific first impression , just in terms of how it presents itself. It’s My favorite Latin American restaurant in SF for brunch ; the architecture within and without has style : wide open space, high ceilings are becalming ; the furniture - booths along with chairs and tables - is arranged as if we are in a neighborhood ! Come early morning to see the hood; my favorite food here is burrito stuffed with mushroom , black olives and cheese , topped with ranchero sauce ; the salsa sauce is flavorful without being spicy. Service is supremely friendly !

Google
Great place for breakfast. They have all the classics: bacon and eggs, pancakes, omelets, etc. But they have some exceptional specialty dishes. We had the polenta and eggs and the soyrizo hash. The polenta sauce was so tasty! And the soyrizo was delicious and not the typical sodium death bomb. Highly recommend!!!

Google
Food was great! Atmosphere was awesome and the sr RV ice was fast! Great vegan food . Polenta and eggs was great!

Google
My church is right down the street, so I end up coming here all the time. This is hands down my favorite diner. Great coffee, great food, and really nice staff. Sometimes I just pop in to get a $5 bottomless coffee and hang out to do some work, but it’s best with a group at a booth. A lot of the food is diner food with a Mexican twist, which actually works really well. Atmosphere is not pompous at all, as you’re likely to find at one of the other coffee shops around here. Down-to-earth, welcoming, quality. That’s why I’m a loyal customer to this place.

It’s never been about the food and much more about the environment and people watching. It’s all the breakfast basics at a decent price for San Francisco.

Google
I got the Egg Valencia - one of the very few well made English muffins with poached eggs. Their hollandaise sauce was spicy and supremely flavorful. Their Polenta and Eggs was also impressive. I loved the vibe of the place. Overall, one of the good brunch places in the city. Orange juice was super refreshing as well. :)

Google
Good place to stop by for a cheap meal. Decent food but nothing amazing, the meal being $30 for 2 added the extra star. I had the huevos rancheros and she had some pancakes with fruit. Side note, I came here on a second visit with friends and appreciated the outdoor seating. They still needed some extra seasoning for the good and perhaps a bit more chorizo, but it was overall solid. Nice to visit on a warm day.

Google
This restaurant went really downhill. I used to be a regular from the late 1990’s until around 2007. I went back recently and got a polenta and eggs and a coffee for breakfast. It was disappointing (but still edible) and the decor was no longer cute. The service was still decent. Will not return unless I’m desperate.

Yelp
Weekday brunch. My friend lives here in the mission. Wasn't packed around 11am. Quick and fast service. Seems like alot of veggie and carnivore options.

Maya K.

Yelp
So good! Breakfast here is always delicious, the place is cute, and the service great. The plantain cake and fried plantains are our favorite menu items! A go-to spot for brekky fs :)

Joanne L.

Yelp
My friends and I stopped by here for a brunch in mission district. The place is well decorated and cozy. It was a filled restaurant by the time we came so we waited ~15min to be seated, but the staff was kind and quick to help us. The food was great and was exactly what we were hoping for- your typical breakfast food. Although nothing stood out as phenomenal, you can't really go wrong with ordering anything from the menu since all the dishes were still great. Our waiter was also nice and consistently checked on us. Great find, and would recommend for a solid, filling meal!

Alissa H.

Yelp
Ordered their chorizo hash and eggs for brunch and it was sooooo delicious!! Literally ate the whole thing with some hot sauce (: super filling and a great portion!! It wasn't too crowded when I went for brunch on a Tuesday. The staff were so friendly and accommodating! I would definitely be back!

Nina C.

Yelp
Great first visit. The welcoming staff invited me to sit in a booth while I waited for my friend. Love the Latin boogaloo theme with album covers plastered over the table tops! Lots of tasty sounding options but we both went for the desayuno típico. The plantain cake was amazing! Naturally sweet and plenty filling. The plate also came with black beans, fresh salsa, and corn tortillas. Coffee was hot and strong. Central location in the Mission District. I'd happily return.

Marina R.

Yelp
The biscuits and gravy were different, they have herb gravy which wasnt my favorite and the rest of the food i got was meh which was sad cause i was extremely excited to try this place. I do however think that what i got does not do them justice, i will come back for that plantain cake

Melanie P.

Yelp
Amazing. Came here after my kid's dance performance. We were a party of 6 and we were seated right away. As soon as we were seated, the crowd started t come in. The staff was friendly as ever. The food was delicious. Shout out for their pancakes, as my husband said, "They are the fluffiest and most delicious" pancakes he has ever had. Can't wait to go back and enjoy the vibe. Love love love

Parita A.

Yelp
A fun diner vibe with fast service and quick hearty meals! We had to put our name down when we got there for brunch on a Saturday around 11 but we were seated within 10 minutes! Ordered the pesto tofu scramble and although the pesto was delicious, I wish the scramble had a little more depth to it. It tasted flavorless outside the pesto and cheese (maybe a simple pepper or vegetable added in would've done the trick. The hash was delicious! I love a good charred hash and that's exactly what this was! The portion sizes were big and filling too!

Yelp
Boogaloos, beloved Boogaloos. Before I really knew about Boogaloos, I loved Boogaloos. When I got to know Boogaloos just a little, I loved Boogaloos like I love the Pork Store. Then there was a fire or something, and Boogaloos was closed. Then it popped up weekly on Sundays at Parada 22 on Haight Street, and Boogaloos grew even more Beloved. Then the original on 22nd Street reopened, and I braved a Sunday brunch rush alone--yes, I waited in line alone on a weekend morning in the Mission--in order properly to review it as part of ToTMW (year unknown, sadly). Would I breakfast at beloved Boogaloos regularly, or would I rest on my ToTMW laurels like I did with so many other Mission District haunts? And then my building burned down, and my new building is close enough that I often order takeout Boogaloos for a late lunch. I still eat in occasionally, but it's good to go as well. In person, I almost always order the Boogaloos Classic. That gravy! Yum. To go, I almost always order a half-order of Temple O'Spuds with a sunny-side-up egg on top. The soyrizo is good, as is Nicky's Polenta. I've never had anything I didn't like, and I've been here dozens of times over the years. The food quality is consistent, and the portions are large. The people who work here are nice, especially if you're a regular. I just really wish they were open later. If you've always wanted to fall in love with Boogaloos but haven't wanted to wait in one of those weekend lines, just come on any weekday morning. The place is never empty, although there are often only one or two other parties here when you arrive. Although I don't visit it as often as I did the Divis Herbivore (RIP) back in the day, I now realize that beloved Boogaloos is my new Herbivore. No, nothing can ever been the same as it was in 2012, but it can be similar. Eat here! Often!

Shannon Z.

Yelp
I still come here often. I like the ambiance/vibe, and I like most of the food. The desayuno tipico is delicious with a sweet plantain cake! Often the wait time at Boogaloos is reasonable nowadays (in 2023), which is a nice change when you compare it to other SF brunch restaurants like Plow or Zazie. My biggest pain point is the ventilation, it often feels stuffy and hot inside the restaurant. The kitchen smells are strong at times too. Also the menu could get some updating, can we please have some more of the vegan options (maybe "just eggs," or faux cheese for the quesadilla)?

Clara L.

Yelp
It was just an okay breakfast, pretty basic. I looked forward to the desayuno tipico but the plantain was pretty sweet and did not think it was too special. Service was pretty fast, we waited for 10-15minutes and were seated for a sunday brunch but a rainy day, so might be busier on regular days. I liked the lemon cornmeal pancake.

Ruby C.

Yelp
Stumbled on this cute little brunch spot on a Sunday morning and we were not disappointed! My boyfriend and I were able to be seated right away and loved that they had both indoor and outdoor seating. I got the polenta-n-eggs and my boyfriend got the chorizo hash quesadilla. The polenta cake was very tasty especially when dipped in the eggs. Added some hot sauce and it was a really flavorful combination. The quesadilla was pretty good but the potatoes were a bit too big for my liking, would've preferred the actual hash form rather than cubes. Overall solid brunch spot and good service as well.

Helene W.

Yelp
I like it. Basic American brunch and also Hispanic food. Location is great. Big selection of omelette and egg dishes. Also meat dishes.

Chris S.

Yelp
Came by around noon on Saturday. It's fairly busy so put your name and party size on the list hanging by the front door and a server will come by and shout out the names for the next available table. We didn't wait too long before getting seated. I got the Chorizo and Eggs Hash with scrambled eggs. The portion is pretty big and it came out pretty quickly. Honestly a very solid hash - no frills. Personally I added some hot sauce it give it a bit more flavor (I think it could've been salted a bit more). Overall, pretty fun brunch spot. Very lively and a huge menu. Service is pretty nice even though they're pretty busy. Definitely check it out!

Yelp
From Grub Hug on line menu - Classic Cubano Sandwich, $9.50 Roasted pork, smoked ham, pickles, Dijon mustard and Swiss cheese on a grilled roll. Served with choice of 1 side dish. I added the above to show how much things have changed. But this add was pulled from Grub Hub today 7/4/2023. First time here in Years! I was early for a performance @ the Marsh and had time to kill and was hungry. When I arrived @ 3:15 if took me a minute to get anyone's attention. No one was in the restaurant and 5 staff were all sitting in a booth and the music was really loud. I finally got my server "Carlo's" attention. At first, it appeared he couldn't be bothered. Thankfully he warmed up after a bit. But mostly stayed away. I had the Cubano sandwich - $18.00 (far cry from the Grub Hub price) and sadly not really worth it. Pretty tasteless. Bread not toasted, it was on a sliced french roll, pork wasn't roasted, ham was "sandwich meat", 1 slice of Swiss cheese and not fresh pickles. Said it came with french fries, well they were breakfast potatoes. Plentiful in size, though. I also ordered a "coke" which the Menu said was a Mexican Coke. I won't be suckered into that again ! Scuse me $5.00 and the photo will show it wasn't a "Mexican coke" but a regular Cocoa Cola from Cocoa Cola in a glass bottle. Had the manager been there I would have requested a refund for false advertising. What I thought would be a cheap lunch was $25. Maybe the manager will reach out to rectify the "overcharge" for the "Non Mexican" coke. Pretty pathetic to make a buck.....

Yelp
Boogaloos is located on a part of Valencia where parking gets very tight so plan accordingly. As for the space, the Boogaloos interior is comfortable, with ample outdoor seating, and it has a friendly and efficient staff. Regarding my order it was a generous serving of Bacon, Potato, Plantain and Fresh Fruit. To be honest the fruit is in the fridge because the servings were so ample, but I did enjoy the bacon that was not overly crisp which I enjoyed, flavorful potatoes, and properly cooked plantains. I also added some freshly cooked eggs making the meal perfect. Would I return, YES !

Vanessa A.

Yelp
I came here on a Saturday for brunch and it was poppin'! Make sure that you're either here early or don't come too hungry to avoid getting hangry because most likely you'll have to wait. You sign up on a clipboard upon arrival and have the option to sit inside or outside (that was a nice option). I waited between 20-25 minutes before being seated inside. It was a chilly day so the outside tables had a faster turnover. I ordered the chorizo and hash scramble. It was really yummy and had that some of that yummy chorizo flavor. The potatoes were crispy which I was a huge fan of! The only downside was that I prefer my food, especially Mexican food, with a little more sazón so I sprinkled salt & black pepper on top and had ketchup mixed with Tapatío on the side for the extra zap. Tal vez le faltaba sal porque ya tenía el chorizo, pero bueno, ni creo que tenía sal los huevitos.

Jocelyn B.

Yelp
Shame on you. Terrible service and not a neighborhood mentality. You know what you did.

Alexa M.

Yelp
One of my favorite brunch spots in the city. The food is so good, it's affordable, and I've rarely ever had to wait. Not to mention the staff is always super friendly. Great place for mimosas with friends on a weekend morning!

Sherry S.

Yelp
Such an amazing deal! A place like this is hard to come by in SF. Boogaloos was introduced to me by a friend and I can't believe I hadn't heard of it before. A popular spot with little to no wait. We walked in as a party of 2 on Sunday around noon and were seated within 5-10 min. We got the mimosa pitcher deal which came with a choice of plantains or yucca fries. We chose the latter which were crispy and flavorful. We each ordered the desayuno tipico for our one entrees - two eggs any style, beans, salsa, plantain cake w/ tamarind sour cream, corn tortillas. So good!! I'll definitely be back.

Dianna H.

Yelp
Affordable and filling spot for brunch in the Mission! Located at 22nd and Valencia, Boogaloos has both indoor seating as well as parklet seating on both 22nd St and Valencia. My friend and I came around 10:30 am on a Thursday morning and it was pretty empty. We opted for outdoor seating since it was sunny out and not too cold. They have a large breakfast / brunch menu here, so it took us a while to figure out what we wanted. They also offer sandwiches, Mexican dishes such as quesadillas and fajitas, and salads. I went with the Square Cool combo ($13.50), with two lemon cornmeal pancakes, two eggs of my choice (I got scrambled), my choice of meat (ham). I typically don't get sweet dishes for breakfast, but I do love me some cornmeal pancakes, so I decided to order the sweet and savory combo. The pancakes were pretty good. There was a faint lemon taste to them which I wish was a bit stronger. The eggs and ham were pretty standard. But portions were pretty for the price, especially in the Mission. I had trouble finishing the second pancake. My friend ordered the DJ's Omelette ($15 + additional cost for ingredients). The omelette was good and chockful of the 4 veggies we ordered, but the real star of the show was the home fries. They were roasted perfectly, and more importantly, seasoned perfectly with the right amount of salt and spices.

Shawn F.

Yelp
Best potatoes in the neighborhood! Service is always quick and attentive. The place always has a good vibe. The food is always fresh and delicious. But seriously, those potatoes are fire!

Lisa T.

Yelp
We came for a late lunch. The service was attentive and friendly. The banana pancakes were moist and flavorful. I wasn't the biggest fan of chorizo and hash. It was missing "something." Their Bougainvillea drink was tasty. I'd recommend this place if you're looking for a last minute, quick, no frills breakfast or lunch.

Mary A.

Yelp
Walked in Boogaloos after waiting for an hour at another nearby restaurant even with advance reservation! Got sat quickly for a party of 5. Pollo encebollado was delicious! Plantains were sweet, moist, and soft. Corn muffin had a little kick to it. On the dry side. Wasn't too much of a fan. Pollo fajitas was a little dry, but flavor was there. Wish they had sour cream on the side though. Chorizo hash and chorizo & eggs were both pretty decent. Black beans were yummy. Overall, a good last minute decision to dine here. Parking is really bad, but there were a lot of vehicles parked in the center median so you can try your luck there if it's legal. Good food, quick customer service. Small "hole in the wall".

Clara M.

Yelp
Boogaloos was such a pleasant spot to have brunch. We arrived at around 9:30 on a Sunday which was the perfect time to get in and avoid the crowds. A line started to form at around 10:00AM. For food, I just got a simple breakfast: over easy eggs, house potatoes, and a biscuit. The most unique part of this restaurant, is that although they serve a traditional American breakfast/brunch, which you could find at any greasy spoon diner, they also offer a Latin American twist. The house potatoes were perfectly and generously seasoned with classic Latin American spices, and the biscuit was made with corn meal, something I had never had before. They offered a really refreshing take on the classic American breakfast, without being too snooty or different. The restaurant itself is charming, and although the music is maybe a touch loud, the atmosphere is spectacular and the service is wonderful. I will definitely come again.

Zack H.

Yelp
The Pollo & Peppers sandwich is one of the best sandwiches I have ever had! Delicious, crispy, grilled chicken with charred peppers combine to make a tasty delightful meal. The soup on the side is always delicious, and tastes fresh and homemade. Also, would definitely recommend getting the home fries. They are always crispy and delicious. But, they aren't your typical fry- it's more so small potatoes. The service is always fast and friendly. The ambiance is great, with lots of natural light, latin rock music playing, and plants hanging from the ceiling! Overall this place is well priced and delicious. You couldn't ask for more.

Elizabeth B.

Yelp
Miss this restaurant. i am unsure if they are still open but if they are, it is hands down the best breakfast I have had n San Francisco.

Alexander C.

Yelp
So good for brunch. I always go with the classic and some of the lemon cornmeal pancakes too. Definitely have to try the veggie gravy. It really is unique and delicious. Also saw they are doing boogaloos at night too. I want to stop in and try some of their sangria which they run specials on!

Tyler C.

Yelp
I've been here twice now and my experience was consistent. Fast, mediocre diner food alongside burnt/nasty coffee at a pretty competitive price. A full breakfast under $20 is a good deal. This place is good for groups who want something convenient and to sit outside. I wouldn't recommend traveling far to this location as there are better options in the Mission. Coffee - 1/10 - Couldn't be worse. Needs milk and sugar to become drinkable. Definitely not fresh. I would not order this if I was you. It's concerning that a diner can't do coffee right. I see some reviews on Yelp saying the coffee is great - that's a shock. They probably got lucky and got some that was fresh. The workflow that allows customers to get old coffee is the problem here. I don't pay money to gamble on my dishes that I order, sorry. Food - 6/10 - Very okay food. If you evaluate the food without looking at the price you are left with good portions of middle-of-the-road breakfast fare. A bit greasy but certainly not bad. I had the Boogaloo Classic and found it was okay. The potatoes are a bit greasy and the eggs seemed to have a bit more fat/butter than I'd like. The biscuit and gravy was interesting but fell a bit flat for me. Overall it was a neutral experience for the price I paid (~$12). Decor - 7/10 - It's a nice diner. Doesn't try to be anything else. Has good outdoor seating. Price - 8/10 - $12 for breakfast is a good deal in SF.

Joey X.

Yelp
This place has major 1980s / 90s grungy diner vibes, and the food ended up tasting as such too! We came on a Sunday ~1:15pm as we couldn't figure out a way to get a table at the packed Alnico's, so we walked here instead and snagged a table for 4 outdoors. Firstly, there isn't an owning, so prepare to bake a bit in the sun if it's a hot day. Secondly, the menu is extensive -- fitting of a diner. I got the tofu scramble with potatoes and whole wheat bread, and it was really boring and not inspiring at all. I would pass on that if I were to come back here, but realistically I would not because the food was really meh, and worst of all, it gave me a stomach problem for the rest of the day! To be fair, I am a sensitive eater at the moment and have a bloodhound of a nose right now, so it may not be the restaurant's fault...but I legitimate had trouble digesting the food and felt like barfing the entire rest of the day and was afraid to eat anything else. I suspect it's one of those things where my body is sensitive to the use of sub-par ingredients and this triggered me. A bit of a traumatizing experience, so will pass in the future!

Jude D.

Yelp
This spot has such a delicious cubano sandwich, with tender brisket and juicy sauces. It comes with a house salad that's dressed with a pickled and dressed cabbage with a ton of flavor. Loved it. Also shared a 1/2 plate of spuds and it was so much food!

Todd L.

Yelp
Solid brunch establishment. The food is above average and the ambiance is great. Service could be slightly better, but still all acceptable. Tried the lemon corn meal pancakes. Delicious.

Sakthi S.

Yelp
Absolutely LOVE this place. No reservation so we always come a bit early to put our name down. We haven't waited more than 30 minutes on a Saturday for brunch, so service is really quick. It's a cute / fun place for a larger group too. I ALWAYS get the luna quesadilla and the mushrooms and olives with the cheese work perfectly together. I always get the home fries (they're perfectly seasoned and crispy). Definitely one of my favorite brunch places in the city.

Bonnie C.

Yelp
We came across boogaloos when walking along the Valencia area. At first glance of their menu everything looked meatless. And there was a wait to get seated. Their are in door and out door seating. The staff wears masks, but does not require the customers to wear masks. Their menu ate in clear plastic covers. They have sections to add side dishes or sides. They have bacon, ham, fruits, and chorizo. We decided to try the boogaloos classic and the chorizo hash and eggs. We asked for scramble eggs but the chorizo has and eggs was made wrong. They made a Sunnyside egg. Then for the boogaloos scramble egg was not runny. It was a bit dry. The green vegetarian sauce was good. But with the corn bream it didn't seem saucy like an actual gravy sauce. The house potato was good. But oily and the potato skin was burnt. But the chorizo and hash had most of the flavor. I probably won't come back to try other items. But I do have to say the staff was nice. When they noticed coffee was low, they do ask if you want more coffee.

Andrea G.

Yelp
Delicious breakfast, fast service, sunny parklet and plenty of indoor seating with a view of food getting cooked on the flat top. My omelette was huuuuuge and also delicious, plus the best breakfast potatoes I've eaten in a long time! Only complaint was that the blueberry coffee cake tasted a bit old.

M G.

Yelp
Boogaloos used to be a favorite brunch haunt when I was frequently in the Mission area. I'm glad to see that they are still thriving. We rediscovered them recently and ordered take-out. The flavors brought back nostalgic memories of early morning breakfasts there! I had the Funky Scram and it was just as I remembered it. Will definitely be adding them to our brunch rotation now.

Ross D.

Yelp
This restaurant is awful and overpriced. The breakfast stunk. Never will go there again.

Tim P.

Yelp
Omigosh. The chorizo hash is amazing. I had it a la carte with the lemon pancakes -- which are not sweet on their own. It was a good combo. Next time with eggs.

R C.

Yelp
Over the years this place has changed its cuisine focus to honor the demographics and all in all it's been yummy. Not too pricey but not Uber cheap like San Bruno Avenue of Portola cheap! Anyhow, service is good, food is warm & drinks are nice. Expect a wait in line for the bathrooms & to be seated indoors. Simple but yummy menu items. I'm on a tight budget so I can travel but Theo place definitely deserves support.

John N.

Yelp
I was craving some classic style eggs & biscuits for breakfast and figured I'd give Boogaloo's a try! Set your expectations; it's diner fare. They execute well with that in mind. I tried the "Boogaloo Classic," which comes with two eggs any way, home fries, and a biscuit with gravy. I also had a side of sausage and a coffee. Everything came to ~$25 after tip, and this is really where Boogaloo's shines. Everything was tasty and well-prepared, with the sausage in particular being a standout (I love that it was grilled!). I did find the biscuit to be a tad on the dry side, and the coffee was pretty mediocre, but those are nitpicks. Again, set your expectations, and you won't be disappointed.

Janet E.

Yelp
food was under seasoned and the tortillas were just microwaved. way too expensive for such bland food

Vira P.

Yelp
Went here with a friend for our monthly brunch date. After reading the reviews and the menu, I knew I was gonna get the desayuno tipico, which is the plantain cake. One of my favorite dishes is plantains, black beans, and crema. To have it in breakfast form was something I had to have. And it was delicious! The plantain cake is amazing. Even though the plantains are mashed into a square cake, it still has that caramelization you get from the traditional dish. I liked the tamarind cream, but I feel most of the flavor comes from the plantain itself. Another wow factor for me was the flour tortillas. They were so yummy! I'm not a tortilla connoisseur, so I don't know if they're made at the restaurant or bought. But I thought they were delicious and I wouldn't have mind if there was more on my plate. They were soft and had a good flavor to them. Boogaloos offers both indoor and outdoor seating. The indoor seats are separated by plexiglass. Eating outside is fine, but there was someone smoking nearby, so that was a short inconvenience. Staff is friendly, and the food came out in a timely manner. One of their machines was broken, so I couldn't get the Mexican hot chocolate. But it's more of a reason to come back and get this meal again. I've been recommended to get the temple o'spuds, but I know myself and I will most likely end up ordering the desayuno tipico again.

Julio H.

Yelp
The first thing I really like in this place the food there have the flavor real home dressing or something like you need to know about it so one of the waitress her name Elizabeth she is friendly and the best energy ever positive ..Gissela she is so attentive with the costumers alright I was Monday her for breakfast

Zain R.

Yelp
Came back to Boogaloos to meet up with some folks and we had a wonderful time. When you enter it reminds me a bit of Austin but still SF. I really liked the atmo + the food + the service. My coffee was strong and I was loving it. My mimosa was strong and I was loving it. My eggs were strong and I was loving it. If you don't get that this is an ode to Robyn - well now you do. I loved my eggs, lemon ricotta pancakes, and the chicken apple sausage!!!! Our server was extremely friendly and helped us order for the two vegans in the group. She even went back and forth to the kitchen when they changed their mind about what they initially wanted to order. If I am in the area and I am in the mood for some amazing pancakes, I'll definitely think of Boogaloos!

Yelp
Went here for the first time ever yesterday with a friend and let's just say I won't be going back. The food wasn't the best. I got the Dj omelet with mushrooms, spinach, chicken apple sausage and jalapeños; I asked to substitute the home fries for plantains but the waiter said no. I asked if I could substitute it for something else and he still said no. I even explained that I don't eat potatoes and wanted something else he still said no. The corn muffin was dry and unedible. I hate wasting food. The service was ok but he was the only waiter for the whole restaurant and there was a lot of people there. That could be one of the reasons he was rude and it took a longer than normal to get our food.

Yelp
yum! Food was so good, and we sat outside too. Would definitely go back. The perfect spot for a hangover or not hungover breakfast. Our server was great too.

Yelp
Home of the $50.00 breakfast I live three blocks down Valencia, and I've been walking down here for breakfast since they opened. I'm a loyal customer. Today I ordered "The Basic" for breakfast. I asked for a side of bacon, and I asked them to Temple the Spuds. This means they put a spoon of sour cream and sprinkle of salsa on top of the home fries. This has been my standard breakfast for years. After plugging in the generous 18% tip, as I always do, my bill came to a few cents under $50.00. When I told the waiter that this seemed a bit too high, he went and checked his numbers, and told me that this was an accurate bill. I promise you I will not go back and pay $50.00 for a "The Basic" breakfast ever again.

Yelp
The service was okay and the food was okay. I got the veggie hash quesadilla and it was ok. I was really disappointed with the gauc, it was flavorless and didn't even taste like avocados. The rest of my friends got their traditional pancake/egg breakfast and it was fine. Overall underwhelming and very expensive for what you get. I'm sticking to St. Francis Fountain on 24th and will not be coming back.

Yelp
A classic diner spot on 22nd and mission. Loved the outdoor seating vibes, great service and lovely company. Ordered a little Shanghai salad with tofu and the chicken club sandwich to share. Both were surprisingly good, honest. Loved the sauce on the salad, and the chicken was so tender and well seasoned.
