"This tapas spot is located in that liminal space between the Seaport and Fort Point. And even though it’s a mini-chain, it’s a really useful place for a group brunch or dinner when you want to drink some good wine by the glass. The $52 chef’s menu is a solid deal where you’ll get a little bit of everything—we’re talking savory bacon-wrapped dates, silky tortilla española with confit potatoes, and a big plate of paella mariscos packed with monkfish, squid, shrimp, mussels, and what feels like everything other species you’d find in the ocean. Hit this spot for a work birthday lunch, a post-work Happy Hour, or just bring some friends who aren’t weird about small plates." - tanya edwards

"Boqueria — a small chain of Spanish tapas bars with locations in New York, D.C., Chicago, and Nashville — will expand to Boston next, a representative for the company confirms. It will open around the first half of 2023 in Boston’s Seaport District, going into the former One Kings Lane space at 25 Thomson Place. This will be the ninth location for Boqueria, which draws inspiration from Barcelona’s world-famous public market, La Boqueria. The restaurant serves a wide range of tapas, fancy Spanish hams, seafood paella, and seasonal entrees, and the wine list is entirely Spanish, with easy-drinking, popular picks as well as more adventurous options. Boqueria’s Boston location will seat nearly 150 and will serve lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch." - Rachel Leah Blumenthal

We visited Boqueria in Seaport for a birthday dinner in a small group. We were able to reserve a table in advance. We loved this place. The service was awesome, our server was very knowledgeable and loved what he did. He definitely made our experience pleasant. The food was just as good, we tried a lot of different dishes and loved each of them. We even loved the drinks we ordered. Definitely coming back.

Dropped in for dinner on a Thursday night and we were kindly greeted and quickly seated. Great atmosphere, service, and food. The patatas bravas were delicious, and took me right back to Spain! The mushroom croquettes were equally tasty, but didn’t last long enough to be pictured. Needless to say, I will be back soon.

Google
New York-based chain serving up excellent tapas. Boqueria introduced me to the world of tapas when I first tried them in NYC seven years ago. For a while, my friends and I visited at least once every two months for their fixed-price brunch. So, when I heard Boqueria had opened a new location in Boston, I was thrilled. I recently dropped in for brunch on a Sunday, and the restaurant was surprisingly empty that afternoon. The menu has changed quite a bit since my last visit, so instead of the prix fixe, we decided to tap into an à la carte experience. From the small plates, we opted for the Pan con Tomate and Croquetas de Setas, and both were solid choices. The diced tomatoes and olive oil soaked into the bread just right, making each bite softer and more satisfying. The touch of acidity and gentle heat from the small pickled pepper on top added a nice kick. As for the mushroom croquettes, they were served on a sweet, jam-like sauce. While I’m usually not a fan of pairing creamy mushrooms with sweet flavors, this combo still managed to spread some joy. The following three dishes were all superb: Toasted Noodle Paella, Gambas, and Iberico Con Salbitxada. The Noodle Paella featured noodles cut to the size of rice grains, toasted to crispy perfection. The smokiness of the slightly burnt squid ink noodles combined with the richness of the garlic aioli made it a true flavor bomb. The Gambas received an upgrade with a lobster reduction that added a deep umami punch—possibly the best Gambas I’ve ever tasted. The Iberico Con Salbitxada, while not as rich as the other two, was all about the tenderness of the Iberico pork, which was simply sublime. The final two dishes, Paella de Mariscos and Picanha, were also solid. What I love about Boqueria’s paella is that it doesn’t rely on heavy saltiness. Instead, they let the rice soak up all the rich seafood juices, with just a hint of saffron and salsa verde. There's a reason Boqueria survived in NYC for nearly two decades—it serves up great value deals and an excellent menu that keeps getting better. While Barcelona Wine Bar might be the most popular tapas spot in Boston, in my humble opinion, Boqueria offers a superior experience with more flavorful dishes. Sure, the base tapas like Pan con Tomate and Croquetas are on par with others, but when it comes to the meat and seafood dishes, Boqueria delivers a far more complex and satisfying flavor profile.

Google
I had the Tapas special. It was 8 small dishes including dessert. It was a lot of food for me but completely delicious. The atmosphere was pleasant and the service phenomenal. My favorite was the Brussels sprouts with the orange flavored sauce.

Google
Boqueria was such a fun experience. A random find in the seaport that serves tapas. The staff was overall friendly and attentive. We started with the pitcher of red sangria and opted for the Boqueria experience. The experience pretty much gives you a good selection of the menu from starters to the main paella dish, followed by two dessert dishes. We wrapped up the meal with two extra drinks the margaritas and get grandma her drink (love the name 😄). My only reason for not giving a 5 star ranking was due to the music playing after 8pm.

Google
Unbelievable experience. The food, the service, and the care they took to accommodate my dairy and soy allergy was next level. Came here with a party of 7 and we did the tasting menu. I lost count of how many dishes they brought out but every one was better than the last. Some of our favorites were the patatas bravas, shaved brussel salad, chicken with a fresh green sauce, and the lamb skewers. Our server Neylon was fantastic. He was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and went above and beyond to let me know what was allergen friendly. The chef was able to make just about everything safe for me to eat without compromising flavor! We also had this white sangria that they poured into our mouth, which was so much fun. This spot would be great for a date night or a night out with friends. I will absolutely come back and can’t recommend this place enough!

Google
Good restaurant on its own but loses a star for being overpriced. Wine and cocktails are overpriced definitely. Food is good but not the best - they definitely did a good Gambas Al Ajilo. The atmosphere/crowd was great for a Saturday night but started dying down around 930pm which was surprising. Good but weak competition to Barcelona.

Google
Excellent attention and service. I made an online reservation for anniversary and we were greeted with a card and champagne 🥂. The food recommendations were pleasant and everyone was attentive and cordial. We really enjoyed our anniversary dinner. Chanti, thank you for being so aware of everything 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Yelp
I celebrated my birthday here and I had a really great experience. Not only did I leave with a free dessert, but because I chose to celebrate my birthday there I also left with two coupons for two free desserts. We also played a traditional Spanish drinking game ran by our server. We would have to drink as much wine as we could from a glass that was shaped almost like a tea kettle. Our server was SO friendly and very knowledgeable about allergies. She was able to list what I could and could not eat off the top of her head from memory. We got the roasted chicken which was some of the most juicy chicken I've had in my life. We also got the shrimp which was a 10/10. The jamon was perfect and the margaritas were amazing! The octopus was my favorite, and they were on top of potatoes and a squeeze of lemon. So good. I can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Was there on a weekday Tuesday lunch. Many of the Tapas were good, do not get the tuna crudo bowl. It was not what I expected. It was a slab of tuna cut in slices that were half frozen. I think I got sick afterwards. The other lunch options were good. Wait staff were nice but was understaff and very slow. Nice ambiance. Weekday lunch for large group took way too long for wait staff and for food to arrive and it was empty.

Yelp
We had dinner at Boqueria Seaport during our recent visit to Boston. Conveniently located next to our hotel, we decided to give it a try even though we didn't have a reservation. Upon arrival, the hostess informed us right away that we needed to be finished by 8 pm due to a subsequent reservation. It was the first time we'd ever been told so directly when we needed to be done with our meal, which felt a bit abrupt. The restaurant's chic and elegant decor added to the ambiance, and fortunately, it wasn't crowded when we arrived, so we were seated promptly. Our server was friendly and attentive, and she helped smooth over the initial awkwardness with her excellent service. We ordered several tapas and drinks. The patatas bravas, pan con tomate, albóndigas, and croquetas de jamón were all hits with my kids and me. However, the tortilla española fell flat--it was crumbly and really needed more salt. We also tried the picanha a la parrilla, which was cooked perfectly but again lacked seasoning, and the seafood paella, which was unfortunately just average. For dessert, we had the churros with dulce de leche, which everyone thoroughly enjoyed--a sweet end to an otherwise mixed experience.

Yelp
I had an unexpectedly fantastic meal at Boqueria. The general decor and vibe was great - you can actually have a conversation inside! Everything my group ordered, I was really surprised (in a good way). The patatas bravas were incredible, the potatoes were smashed and super crispy. Great balance between potato flavor, tomato sauce, aioli, and crispiness. Another hit was the mussels, the sauce was amazing - thankfully they serve it with bread so you can dip it in afterwards. Just as good was the paella de mariscos, the rice was super flavorful and so was the seafood. Knocking off a single star because the fish in the paella was overcooked and the shrimp was bland but also super oily.

Yelp
Torn on writing a review today. I went to Boqueria 4 months ago, and it was AMAZING. I returned last week, and the menu is changed and the food was just not executed properly. The first time I went, we sat at the bar and thoroughly enjoyed the bartender- he was sweet and friendly, and made our experience great. Wherever you sit in the restaurant, it has a cool ambiance with the lighting and the furniture and decor. That first time we ordered a cheese and meat board (which was WONDERFUL, compared to the second time when we had to scavenge through the plate to find 3 tinyyyy pieces of cheese). The pan con tomato (tomato bread) was one of the best parts of the board. We also ordered the bacon wrapped dates, patatas bravas, mushroom croquettes, and lamb skewers. Everything the first visit was cooked to perfection, and packed with flavor. I couldn't even pick a favorite dish because I enjoyed them all. The second visit, ordered the same tapas, and they were all poor presentation, sloppily plated, and not seasoned or cooked well. The second visit our friend also ordered French toast; they incorrectly brought us avocado toast after 40 minutes (LAST thing to come out), and then brought us french toast another 40 minutes after that. We had to inquire about where his meal was several times. Also ordered the picanha the last time, which was tough and overcooked, and did not pair well with the carrot puree it sat on top of. Huge disappointment and embarrassed to have brought friends here. Note: photos were ALL from the first visit. The food did not have that perfect presentation on the second visit.

Yelp
Had an incredible experience at boqueria! Spanish food will always be #1 in my heart and boqueria brings you all the way back to Barcelona! The food, drinks, and staff are always 10/10

Yelp
Boqueria was SOOOO good and was one of the highlights of my Boston trip! I love how perfectly portioned all of the tapas were - we had a large party of about 10 people and it was the perfect spot for us. Some highlights: + Patatas Bravas ($13): SO good that we ordered another round after finishing the first lol. The potatoes were super crisp and the garlic aioli was addicting! + Croquetas de Setas ($9): I love mushrooms and these croquettes were the best! Super crisp and the mushrooms were rich in flavor + Jamon Iberico de Bellota ($34): A must get! It seemed to be one of their more popular items (hence the star next to it on the menu lol). The ham was packed with flavor! Our server was kind and super accommodating to our group. Try the white peach sangria!

Yelp
This was my first time coming here and the menu definitely reminded me of Barcelona (one of my favorite tapas spots in Boston). We ordered the pastas bravas, ham and cheese croquets, the flatbread, and meatballs. Weirdly all of it kindve felt like it had been sitting out for a little before it was served to us or something. The flavors were lacking and it just didn't taste too fresh. Very crunchy and not really juicy at all. I ordered a Dirty Shirley (what am I 16? No. It's the best drink. You heard it here first) and it tasted like fruit juice. I don't think there was any alcohol or grenadine in it. Unfortunately, it just didn't taste like a Shirley Temple The ambiance is nice and it's walkable to a ton of things you can do in Seaport!

Yelp
Came here with my bestie for dinner. We started with a few tapas, my favorite was the patatas bravas, it was literally a crispy fried potato with this amazing salsa and garlic aioli drizzle. The rice in the paella was so good, with tons of seafood flavor. Brussels sprouts were ok, and tasted slightly burnt. The shrimp and octopus were both ok, I would pass on these two next time. The paella was amazing, loaded with seafood but the rice was the best part. I would definitely get this and the patatas bravas again. Staff was friendly and provided food recommendations. The interior was classy and a nice sit down restaurant.

Yelp
We couldnt get a table at Citrus and Salt on Saturday until late, so we walked up the road to Boqueria. It got busy around 8pm, music cranked up, lights low, and the vibe was good. Shisto Margaritas are $16 or $44 for pitcher. We went with a pitcher, and ended up with 4 small glasses that were 75% full and half was ice. If there was 12oz of margarita liquid I'd be surprised. I dont know what a $16 single looks like, so I cant tell you if it's worth it or not, but I can tell you the pitcher is a joke, and just skip it. We got a few small plates to start, and our meat and cheese board came much later because I think they overlooked it. It wasn't any problem to us, as we knew we were waiting on a paella to cook, which they warned 45 ish minutes to cook. To our surprise, they credited the cheese board on our bill. The Paella de Marisco was easily the star of the show. I had a nice glass of Albarino with it as recommended by our waiter. For dessert we went with Churros and Dulce de Leche. I've had really good Churros in Breckenridge at Mimi & Pin, so thats my standard. These fell a bit short. More crispy, lacking a bit of cinnamon sugar coating. The Dulce de Leche was very cold and not dippable. Dont get me wrong, they are still quite good, but there is room for improvement. Overall a pretty good experience, and one worth revisiting because there were so many things we didnt try.

Yelp
Came here with a group of 8 people for brunch one Saturday. We made reservations for 1 pm, but it wasnt necessary as the restaurant was very spacious and had plenty of open tables. They were able to seat us even though our entire party hadn't arrived yet. We ordered the following: croquetas de setas, croquetas de jamon, patatas bravas, albondigas, tabla de quesos y embutidos, bocata de huevo, and arroz con salmon. The food was overall good, on the pricey side but expected for the seaport area. Dishes were hit or miss, the mushroom croquetas were delicious while the patatas bravas were overcooked and dry.. The salmon with rice was tasty, but came with the saddest looking slices of avocado. Service was extremely slow despite the place being pretty empty. Our waiter forgot a few things we ordered and there was an extra dish on our bill that we did not order. One of the dishes did not come out for 1.5 hours..not sure if the waiter forgot about it, or the kitchen never made it till later.. but it was nice of our waiter to comp that entree. With drinks and food, the 8 of us spent about $640 dollars with tip.

Yelp
Took my girlfriend out to this restaurant to try for the first time Food 10/10; all tapas were fuego, didn't expect biodynamic organic wine, that was a huge plus Service 12/10: don't want to be served by anyone else besides Nathan, glad we were able to share the evening with him, he mad our night that much more enjoyable. Ambiance: great atmosphere, solid music if you're into r&b throwbacks haha Will be back soon, dope spot to bring a date to sit at the bar or a bigger group for the back area.

Uche N.

Yelp
I have no idea how I haven't come here sooner. Boqueria is the perfect mix of happy hour and cocktail hour vibes. The crowd was super fun as people were celebrating birthdays with a host coming around serving their house white sangria directly into people mouths. Nevertheless is wasn't chaotic at all. The tables were separate enough where another big parties celebration wasn't making it hard to hear your friends. We snagged a reservation and I would highly recommend making a resy bc it was pretty full. It's tapas style which was great. We got the mushroom pizza, croquette's, patatas, and Brussels sprouts. We finished with churros and everything was truly so so so good. I truly expect to be back atleast 3x before the end of the year. Also I got the margarita from the drink menu and it was sooo good. LOVEED it

Bea W.

Yelp
Had a ton of tapas while enjoying the night out with friends. Delicious and very good service that warned us how long paella would be and made sure we were attended to while waiting. Busy weekday evening but not too loud

Christina L.

Yelp
My experience at Boqueria Seaport was nothing short of extraordinary. This tapas bar is the perfect addition to the Seaport and a standout in the Boston culinary scene. Obsessed. The moment I stepped in, the modern atmosphere and stylish decor immediately set the stage for an exceptional birthday brunch with the bestie. I loved the design of the bar and how it was located centrally in the restaurant. Our waiter was extremely friendly and helpful with suggestions, being that it was my first time. My absolute favorites from the recommended dishes were the seafood paella and the clams. The paella exceeded my expectations for Seaport, bursting with flavors and featuring perfectly cooked seafood that transported me to the coasts of Spain. The Almejas (clams) en salsa verde were equally impressive, a symphony of tastes with a garlic and parsley broth so divine that I couldn't resist savoring every drop. I also really liked the croquetas--cooked to perfection, these bite-sized delights were a crispy and creamy sensation. Boqueria Seaport has truly mastered the art of crafting perfect dishes, making it a must-visit for anyone seeking a great dining experience!

Emiliana O.

Yelp
Always a good eat here. Service is super kind, pitchers are a hack, and the food comes out fast! The chicken was perfect this time around!! And you gotta get the potatoes

Edward W.

Yelp
This past fall, we visited this tapas place in the Seaport area. We ordered the tortilla espanola, patatas bravas, croquetas de jamon, croquetas de setas, piquillos rellenos, and small size of the paella de mariscos. The tortilla espanola was like a frittata made out of eggs, onions and potatoes. It was pretty good. The patatas bravas were crispy potatoes with crispy aioli and salsa brava. It was tasty but a bit overburnt. The croquetas came in threes. The croquetas de setas were mushroom croquettes with truffle aioli. Yum! This was one of my faves. The croquetas de jamon were ham and cheese croquettes. They were good as well. The piquillos rellenos was one of the seasonal specials and consisted of braised short rib with roasted red peppers and parsnip puree. It was very delicious! The paella de mariscos took a long time to make(almost an hour!). When it came out, it came with monkfish, clams, mussels, shrimp, and squid. It was good but it just took too long to come out. For desserts, we got the cinnamon covered churros which were crispy and freshly made. I really like the bright decor of the restaurant and thought it was spacious. Too bad, it's hard to find parking around the Seaport area. Otherwise, I would come more often to try out other things.

Samantha B.

Yelp
I would give a higher rating if I could, the food and drinks are so good. The ambiance is sultry and the flavors are out of this world. New favorite in Boston

Luciana B.

Yelp
We arrived for an early dinner and we had our little one with us. I would want to give more starts because the manager was nice but honestly the food was not good. I am unsure if it's because we had real authentic Spanish food in Spain and/or other places in the US. BUT the food honestly was at best a 3/10. The meat/cheese platter was ok. I would probably swap the Caña de cabra for some Mahon. If not I'll def have some toast or bread for the soft cheese and I'll make sure the pan con tomate was not soggy. My tortilla española was served cold (ice cold) .. so maybe not that.. The clams on verde sauce were ok but I'll say it was def not worth the hype that was built to us by the waitress. Maybe a 3.5 for sure. Lastly the seafood paella was not great. Again pretty hyped up and I'll say it didn't taste like paella. In my opinion it was missing flavor (a lot). On another note - While we were seated our little was not really having a great time and when we spoke with the waitress we asked for time because of what was going on with our kid. I don't think the waitress understood the concept of "time" or "please give us a few minutes" because she will leave us and come back within 2-3-4 minutes wanting tot take the order while we kept dealing the same and still asking for more time. Finally, the manager noticed the whole thing (I guess - I'm unsure) but she came to us and offered us some color pens and drawings for our kid.

Zaraid J.

Yelp
Overall score is like a 3.7 Flavors - 3.8/5 Textures - 4/5 Presentation - 4/5 Value for Money - 3/5 Would return? No I liked this place! It just opened so they are probably still working on their menu, but it could be great with some fixes on execution. It is expensive, but it's Seaport I guess Escalivada: nice yogurt dip with some crispy bread. Bolder flavors would be nice. Albondigas/Meatballs: very nice flavors, especially that sauce. The meatball was a bit overcooked and hence tough. Croquetas de Jamon y Setas: flavors were nice here too, but the crust was too thick and the filling too firm. PINTXOS MORUNOS: by far the best! The lamb was super tender and flavorful, which make a great compliment for the crusty bread that soaks up all the juices.

Yelp
Went for a work dinner tonight and all I can say is Yummy! I was a flexitarian for this trip so I can try everything. I was out with new coworkers and it is only my third week, my first day with them in person. So I sat back and followed their lead. This is a tapas place so that was easy to do. Man I am glad I did. I got to try so much (note I don't remember the names of anything). Here is my run down. Tomato on bread with a pepper thing. The tomato is actually like a sweet jelly. It soaks in the bread if you don't eat it quickly, so judge that based on if you like kinda soggy bread. I don't, some do, I don't understand those people but I give them my bread when it is soggy and they are happy. The pepper wasn't hot. It wasn't exactly sweet and he had a little kick, but it wasn't crazy. The crispy potatoes thing was so good. They were cooked perfectly. Next time I would get one of these and not share. Y'all can go get your own. The crispy brussel sprouts thing. So good. I could have had half the plate. Who am I kidding, the whole plate. The only thing keeping me from getting one of these and one of the potato things to myself is how much I loved everything else. The lamb skew thing. I am not a lamb person, but this was so good. The onions and seasonings were so good and it was on a thin toasted piece of bread. The mushroom thing I was told was good. No I didn't try it. I don't do mushrooms. The octopus thing. I only had a little bit because I don't normally eat crazy. It was very good. Cooked well, seasoned just right and the mashed potatoes went perfectly with it. The shrimp in the tiny skillet thing was delicious. They were cooked well. I love it when they don't go crazy with the seasoning and you can tell what you are eating. But only three pieces of bread? Come on! It was too tasty to take a point away. Just annoying. The potato egg thing. Very well done. Combine some of my favorite things and you can't go wrong. The meatballs, yes I straight up ate a meatball and I would again for that meatball. It could turn a vegetarian. I had a glass of red wine as well. I will admit I didn't understand the wine list but the server was so helpful. I said what here is a Pinot noir or like that. He pointed out three and told me the differences. I chose the first one and it was so smooth. It was exactly what I was looking for. In short, go here, get a variety, try it all, you will not be disappointed.

Eva A.

Yelp
Came here on a dinner date, as I've heard amazing things about all the boqueria locations. To be honest, I was not blown away. The food was nothing special, the white sangria was good, but $50 for a pitcher split by 2 people, everything was overpriced. The patatas bravas were fine, but didn't have enough sauce so we requested more. It took forever and 2 reminders to be delivered. The Brussels sprouts were in an oily sauce, and not crispy (not sure if they were meant to be, but definitely would not get again). The seafood paella was alright. Not much flavor. The croquetas de jamon were filled with cream and tasted exactly like fish sticks (although were weirdly a favorite). I'd say come for the ambiance, to meet up with people and have a good time, but not to be wowed by the food.

Tuli S.

Yelp
We went to the NYC location a few weeks ago and then I noticed that there was a new location in Boston, yay more tapas for us here. We came by on Friday and made a reservation for 9 so we could beat the prime crowd. The place is HUGE. I couldn't believe it. We were seated towards the back which wasn't the best but we were just here to check it out so we were fine with it. The food wasn't as good as NYC! Boo. But it was pretty good and we'll come back. The jamon croquettes & mushroom croquettes were great. The shrimp was good but the best part was the crispy garlic bits. We also had the patatas bravas & drinks. All as expected! It is loud here, so it's a little more oriented towards a younger crowd. We were out beforehand so it worked out perfectly. If you want a quiet date this is not the best at night!

Anthony N.

Yelp
Boqueria is a fun tapas bar in the seaport that offered a nice ambiance and tasty food. It was a dimly lit setting with somewhat loud music and an exciting vibe. The menu is tapas style and meant for sharing. They recommend 2-3 tapas per person. We tried the shaved Brussel sprout salad, roasted Brussels, asparagus, potato bravas, lamb skewers, meatballs, shrimp, and grilled squid. The bravas, asparagus, Brussels, and shrimp were all really good. The meatballs were decent and the squid was kind of tough and not very tasty. The medium paella was really filling and had good flavor. They have an extensive cocktail and wine list and that combined with the food and ambiance makes it a good date night spot.

Megan W.

Yelp
Me and my two roommates came here the other night for dinner. We had a reservation but they were running a little behind so we weren't seated for 30 minutes. The good news was they had a full service bar we could get drinks at while waiting for our table. We got espresso martinis that were really good. We then were sat at a very cute booth. The food was so good I forgot to take pictures of everything. The staff was very nice and checked on us a good amount. In general we had a great time and will be back soon.

Yelp
For months, I've been walking by the space they've been creating for Boqueria. I am so happy there is a tapas place in the Seaport! When I walked in, I immediately knew it was going to be a great experience. The hosts were friendly and it seemed like everyone was enjoying themselves. It wasn't as full as I expected it to be. Probably cause tonight is opening night! They have done a fabulous job with designing this space. The decor is simple yet stunning. We were seated at a perfect corner hightop. The wood booths are beautiful! We were waited on rather quickly and the server explained how the menu works. We ordered the white sangria to start with and it was tasty-not too sweet and very refreshing. We got the red pitcher too! And loved it! For dinner, we ordered several tapas: patatas bravas, ham croquettes, bacon wrapped dates, broccoli, tomato bread, and the half chicken. Everything was absolutely divine. Lots of options for vegetarians which is great! Also, the GM stopped by to welcome us which was a nice touch! Overall, we really appreciated the great service and delicious food, plus amazing sangria. We cannot wait to come back and try more! Boqueria, welcome to the neighborhood! We're so glad you're here!

Brooke C.

Yelp
I loved my dinner here! I got two drinks - peacock mocktail spiked with fine and rose sangria. I liked the peacock one most. For tapas I tired ham croquetas, broccoli, eggplant dip, octopus, and lamb skewers. I loved all of them, but the croquettas and broccoli were the best. The restaurant is pretty on the inside and the service is great.

Stopped by Boqueria for a late weekend lunch. There were a few tables occupied and the bar was a little busy. We ordered a few dishes to share including the meatballs, shrimp, and eggplant. Everything was ok, nothing really stood out. The meatballs were a little dry. Unfortunately the service was very slow and the food took a long time to come out. The waiter came by to apologize for the delay which was nice. I am open to go back to try the paella and other items on the menu but certainly not in a rush.

Yelp
I WISH I could give it a couple extra stars! I won't go down the list of names of all the EXTRAORDINARY staff that made our first visit an absolute dream, but we should shout out to Paris our server, the managers and of course, that darling CHEF! 1. The place is noisy as all get out - VIBRANT like a market in Madrid or Barcelona. BUSTLING with people of ALL AGES. 2. Dark - which adds a touch of mistique to a beautifully laid out and decorated locale. 3. INTERESTING - the menu is small enough not to overwhelm and rich enough to tickle any fancy. The layout allows for truly having a "Spain-ish" experience. 4. SOULFUL - from hostess to bussing to service to kitchen to management - young and fresh and delightfully professional. People WANT to work here. MENU? Well, ok, in all transparency, I won't ding the chef, but the pulpo at $21 was a bit of a debbie downer - a tad underflavored and a tad on the chew side (THAT is not chef's fault, getting octopus that is tenderized AND at a decent price is like searching for barefoot...). That said - THOSE CROQUETAS! I WOULD JUMP IN A POOL OF THOSE CROQUETAS. Home made potato chips (which I oggled from afar because I couldn't shove anymore food down my gullet...). Want veggie? SHUT THE FRONT DOOR BEFORE SOMEONE STEALS YOUR BROCCOLI. Why would I ever swoon over BROCCOLI? Not me. Until this visit. Tapa-worthy. Not too into the "gambas al ajillo" - nothing too wrong with them, just not my favorite (don't get me wrong, I'd still eat them again!!!). We had some fideua which was perfectly executed, iberico ham (because you have to), pan crystal with tomates, and a couple of more dishes (I'm tooooo embarassed to admit how much we gluttoned on...). Those croquetas... It's what crispy, golden and delicious fried food should be. I'm having withdrawals just thinking about them. HEY - if someone wants to save me the work of making those suckers, AND can nail them like they did - I will drive to Boston and pay parking for those little pieces of crave-demanding deliciousnessessessessess... Wine list is approachable, thus after starting with my bubbles and hub with a take on a Negroni, we shared a 1/2 bottle of Muga Reserva (2019, great year) and pondered on crushing all the PERFECTLY crunchy outside, creamy inside churros. Make reservations. The place packs with everything from the young and showyoffy, to the moms/dad/kiddoes, retired grannies and gramps to the eccentric and discerning. OH, and did I mention HOW CLEAN they keep the place? Jeeze Louise!

Yelp
This place is an absolute HOME RUN. We came with a large group of 13 for Mother's Day and we had the chefs menu. Oh my goodness...the food was incredible..the service was excellent. Everyone was so nice, so attentive, I have nothing but great things to say. I'm a bigger guy and I usually don't get full from sharing plates/tapas, but the food never stopped coming out. Every time I thought it was over, they kept bringing more out! The restaurant is beautiful, the bar is very nice as well. Would be a great date spot too

Yelp
Went here on a wimb while walking around seaport. Food is AMAZING- must try the shrimp and dip a bunch of bread in those juices!! We went for a friends birthday and got dessert on the house and got many happy birthdays from servers and managers! Would def come back.

Yelp
I have a soft spot for Boqueria Flatiron in NYC, so I was really looking forward to trying the local edition. I went with a group of 6 so I got to try a variety of dishes. Things I would get again (in descending order of favor) - The mushroom croquettes tasted like deep fried cream of mushroom soup. We all liked it a lot and ordered another one - The gambas al ajillo were quite good. Tender shrimp, some ridiculously spicy peppers (it burns), crispy garlic - Patatas bravas were quite good and crispy with a yummy tomato paste at the bottom - The churros were good. The chocolate is probably the best dipping sauce. Dulce de leche is pretty hard to dip into. - The tortilla espanola was surprisingly good. We also got another one of this. - The shishito peppers were well-cooked Things I wouldn't get again - The eggplant is a bit too tomatoey/acidic for me - The paella was very late (we received it after we ordered dessert) and the mussels were overcooked and dried. I think the rice could be more flavorful. The shrimp, calamari, and green sauce were good. Overall it's an elegant-looking space that fits right into Seaport, but it fell a bit short on the paella front, and nothing stood out hugely. I would probably come here again with a group if we were in Seaport, but I would probably prefer Barcelona overall (at least the paella).

Yelp
Excellent example of Spanish food!!! Been to Spain and can attest that this is the closest Spanish style food I've had in the states. This place deserves much more stars as the food was fire and full of flavor. The almosphere was cool and causal but you could also dress up. Staff was very kind and on it as well. Also BEST patatas bravas I've ever had and I've had a lot in Spain alone! Thanks for making good quality foods that take me back to Europe! (:

Yelp
Really enjoyed this restaurant! Came here with a sizeable group which was nice so we can order a variety of dishes to share. Everything from the service to the food to the drinks was phenomenal! Honorable mentions are the sangria (can order a pitcher to share), the patatas bravas, and croquettes! However my all time favorite was the fideua negra - the flavor is incredibleeee and the dish is just so unique you can't pass it up. At the end of the night our servers accidentally threw away our food when we had asked for it to go. They were so kind in allowing us to pick two dishes off the menu for us to have to go for free as a result. They were very knowledgeable about the menu and gave us a fun dining experience.

Yelp
We came here for brunch. The food was pretty decent despite the place being empty. Make sure to ask for itemized receipt when you get the bill. If you don't, they will try to scam you. They tried to charge us $14 (vs. $6) for bloody Mary's and $10 (vs. $5) for mimosas. They didn't seem surprised when we pointed out that they overcharged us and instead of redoing the bill, they just made adjustment which left an inflated tip. *Update: After this review, the manager reached out, refunded our money and apologized for the error.

Yelp
Food was great. Service was great. Ambiance was great until the younger twenty something crowd came in for drinks and they raised the music volume so much, that we could not hear each other talk over dinner. Nope for me.

Yelp
This was a great little restaurant. I've come here a few times and really enjoyed the ambiance and the food. They have $5 mimosa with fresh squeezed OJ for brunch and $6 bloody mary's. My only complaint is that my husband's recent brunch entree was extremely disappointing. The serving of steak and eggs was very, very small and poorly plated. His steak was overcooked. I took one star off for that. Otherwise, everything else we ate here was absolutely fantastic!

Yelp
Food: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 4.5/5 Value: 3.5/5 Overall: 4 A nice new solid tapas restaurant has arrived in the Seaport! The restaurant has been well designed and has plenty of a variety of seating - tables, booths, and bar seats. Ambience on the weekday night we went was moderately busy and casual but not overwhelmingly so and noise level was commensurate with a place this size (a notch down from Bar Taco level noise from next door if you're familiar with the neighborhood). Beautiful yet casual interior with nice high ceilings. Service was attentive. Madeline was quick to get our drink orders and to also make suggestions for dishes (mushroom croquettes, escalivada, and seafood paella). Good follow up throughout the meal. GM also stopped by to check in on us as well. We were looking to try the drinks and eat lighter so we only got the following dishes for 2 people: - Paella de mariscos (amazing fresh ocean flavor, *perfectly* cooked... spot on and one of the better ones from recent memory. Only wish the socarrat was a little bit more prominent) - 5/5 - Almejas en salsa verde (good but not worth the value for 6-7 clams plus menu had noted Manila clams, not the littlenecks we got) - 3/5 - Tabla de quesos y embutidos (pan con tomate the surprising winner with strong garlic kick, bright fresh tomato flavor, and crisp rustic bread. Gotta eat these quick before they get soggy though. Otherwise good but nothing crazy memorable otherwise) - 4/5 - Croquetas de setas (super umami bomb. Bechemel sauce gives it a nice body and heft. Nice change up from the typical jamon croquets and good rec by both our server and the GM) - 5/5 - Escalivada (nice punchy flavors, much heavier on the herbs than expected but not in a bad way. Wish focaccia was less crunchy) - 4/5 Drinks (all good): - white sangria (rum based. a bit on the sweet side for me but the Wifey loved this. Easy drinking) - rose sangria (tequila based, a little drier which was to my liking) - shishito margarita (interesting take on a jalapeño spice type margarita. Enjoyable) - Hemingway daiquiri (strong and sweet with a punch. No pun intended. Nice bitter overtones from the pampelmpusse) Boqueria definitely deserves a spot in the tapas rotation and is a nice change from Toro and Barcelona in town. Would recommend folks give this new place a try out.

Yelp
FABULOUS LUNCH One of our favorite meals during our Boston trip was at Boqueria Seaport, a tapas restaurant with roots in NYC. The restaurant décor is modern industrial with a fun vibe. We enjoyed their $24 PP lunch special that includes a choice of two tapas and churros. We selected the Albondigas (pork and beef meatballs), Croquetas de Setas (mushroom croquettes), Ensalada de Brusselas (Brussel sprouts salad) and Tortilla Espanola (Spanish potato "omelet"). The refreshing citrusy and crunchy shaved Brussels sprouts salad was my favorite. The kitchen performs magic with its hot and crispy mushroom croquettes that somehow do not explode in the oil. The Spanish tortilla was luscious. We ended our lunch with hot, crispy and sugary churros. Finally a special call out to manager Sarah who excelled in hospitality and wonderful service. Thank you for a wonderful lunch and we hope Boquiera will one day open a restaurant in Florida.

Yelp
Was here with a friends for a bday dinner. It was absolutely delicious from drinks to mains and to dessert. We had their private room and it was so great to make all the noise in there. Totally recommend everything but our favorites was the croquettes, patatas bravas, shrimp in garlic and the salad. But totally do the omakase pre doze meal they have. Let them do all the thinking. Sit back and drink and stuff your face. Can't wait to go back. Service was phenomenal too!!

Yelp
Great ambience for dinner and drinks with friends. I stumbled on this place while in town for business and enjoyed both the food and ambience so much I made a reservation for my team for the very next day. The service is still working out some kinks, but still a lovely experience.

Yelp
Really great food, which was paced out nicely. Drinks were also tasty. However we had to wait 1 hour for our reservation for 3 people!! This was really frustrating and it seemed like a lot of other people had super long waits (with reservations) as well. Very trendy vibes, I'd go back at some point but wait until they've figured out their service.

Yelp
My partner and I have gone twice now to the Boston location of Boqueria and have generally enjoyed our experience. The cocktails are always a hit, always a big fan of their sangrias and G&Ts. We've tried various tapas now, all of which have been satisfying. The croquettes - both the mushroom and the jamon - are incredible and we'd recommend those always. We usually split the medium sized paella which is delicious and with a good amount of seafood (better than Barca wine bar in our opinion). Churros are always a fun dessert choice but nothing particularly unique. Overall expensive but a fun and yummy place to dine

Yelp
Want a good hangout place for some good drinks and food then this a the place!! This place is young, hip with good music selections! Very friendly host/hostesses, even floor managers walk around to check in table to table to make sure all is right!

Lena L.

Yelp
Walked in Friday night with no reservation and got a table immediately. Drinks were amazing, got the rose sangria and my frds got the peacock. Great for small bites and drinks

Saheli G.

Yelp
It's available for walk-ins on new year's eve which is awesome! We requested for a bar area and in no time, we were comfortably seated. They have a limited drinks list, but hey, when you have sangria and mimosas, you are sorted

Yelp
An easy walk from the T. Walked into a pretty setting with warm host who seated us in an area that gives us a full view of the restaurant. The waitress was bubbly , sweet and informative about the food. The portions were perfect for sharing for a party of three. By the time the paella arrived we were very full but of course had to get dessert. I like the use of yogurt as a base for the orange olive cake.

Yelp
Eatable but not great, stale bread, stale potatoes, shrimp was too hot, burned my mouth

Yelp
Great Retro Vibe, tall industrial ceilings, decent menu. I was pleased with the food, and varied menu options. The service was great on the bar side, the gentleman who served was extremely attentive, there were a few mishaps with the servers when we transitioned from the bar area to the shared seating table. The servers did not communicate accordingly in my opinion and we didn't get some items we ordered, we often couldn't get a hold of anyone. Aside from that, it was an overall pleasant intimate experience, I enjoyed chatting and sitting with another couple that we didn't know, but got to know by the end of the night!
