Dinner review: Come here for brunch instead :) Cauliflower appetizer was delicious with a super creamy sauce. Lamb entrée was super tender, creamed spinach had too much horseradish. Fries were delicious. Cafe menu Gyro wrap: the meat was very thick, a bit tough, and dry at the end, though well seasoned. And the bread was tough and chewy as well - maybe sourdough pita is not the move. Even after asking for extra sauce and veggies it was hard to finish, but maybe that’s just me. Sticky toffee pudding was pretty good, the crème brûlée was way too salty, and the texture was curdled. When we mentioned this to the waitress after she asked for feedback, she said she was offended because it was her favorite dessert and didn’t offer to refund or exchange. And she brought her check before the desserts came out. Maybe she is someone’s daughter because she did not know how to waitress lol. The dining area leaves all of your clothes and coat smelling like fries because the kitchen is open to the seating area. Very cute decor. Overall, it was very interesting and expensive and sometimes pleasant experience. I will probably not be back except to try brunch because the café dessert items looked absolutely incredible.

grew up in this area, and I’ve seen a lot of places come and go at the spot where The Borage now stands — but this might be the best thing that’s ever been there. It’s a perfect fit for Speedway’s vibe and brings great energy to the neighborhood. My wife and I found it through the Indy Local Foodies group and decided to check it out — and it did not disappoint. The space is super creative, with art everywhere and cool vintage dishes (some from the owner’s grandmother, which I loved). The restaurant is split into two sides — a cozy diner and a bakery/local shop with plants, pottery, and handmade goods. I grabbed an almond croissant (amazing!) and a rich, chocolatey brownie that’s a dream for serious chocolate lovers. We tried Grandpa Poe’s for brunch — the potatoes and sausage were perfectly seasoned. My wife had the cinnamon roll, eggs, and bacon — all delicious, especially the cinnamon roll with coffee. Overall, The Borage is a great addition to Speedway. It’s creative, local, and full of heart. Definitely worth a visit next time you’re in the area!

My 3 friends and I went in for breakfast at 10:30 on a Friday over winter break. Didn’t wait more than 10 min, they have a lovely little market where you can kill time. Cookie butter latte was great, they got the biscuits and gravy bowl, the breakfast sandwich (add hash browns which they call roastie), and I got the all day breakfast which is just basic toast with eggs and a roastie. ALLLL of these things were delicious and we finished with an order of apple fritters for the table, which were well glazed and had lovely apple chunks. I will be back, hopefully many times. 10/10

Just happened to drive past & knew I had to check it out! I stopped in and the aroma was delightful. There's an option for a sit down restaurant experience. I opted for the quick service Bakery option. I ordered the Chicken Pot Pie Croissant Twist and the Brown Sugar Espresso Chocolate Chip Blondie. The Croissant was amazing & definitely one of my new favorites. The Blondie had amazing flavors but had kind of a sandy texture so I probably wouldn't order again. The only downside was I thought the prices were a little high but I know inflation probably pays a part in that so I would still rate the experience 5 stars.

If you're foraging for something new, Borage will make you feel like you've won the secret hot spot lottery. Like visiting a gorgeous eatery in the UK or Europe, but tailor made for Indianapolis. If you want to experience where we should be at in our foodie endeavors, please experience this place! Yesterday I had the pleasure of taking my son and daughter to brunch there. I thought it would be the perfect place to celebrate my oldest getting a new job. It did not disappoint! Every aspect of the outside and inside of Borage is eclectic and inviting. Bright floral murals, comfortable seating in the cafe inside and out, and a view of wild flower gardens that I hope will continue to mature and grow with this wonderful business. I don't write a lot of reviews, but this place is worth sitting down to. We ordered one of their specials, the French Toast Bread pudding, a breakfast biscuit bowl, and my younger child ordered their cinnamon roll with lemon cream cheese icing. Their signature espresso and matcha drinks were on point with beautifully curated flavors. As our food arrived we were told that they were out of cinnamon rolls but presented not one but two complimentary replacements. Their pumpkin chocolate chip Basque cheesecake, and chocolate croissant big enough for two. My child was so looking forward to the cinnamon roll, but her face lit up at the sight of both items. It absolutely made her day. Our brunch was lovely, and Olivia was the perfect server. So calm and attentive. Even noticing that my daughter's chai was not being consumed and offered sweetener. I was blown away. It's the first time a server has ever noticed my sugar baby's need for a sweeter chai. I was so glad that it then was drank instead of wasted. Just a small touch, but so intuitive. Olivia, you're the best! It gave me a moment of "Unreasonable Hospitality" that I think Will Guidara would smile about. The marketplace with exposed kitchen and spacious coffee bar was a feast for the eyes and palate. A wonderful mix of local wares, culinary treats like house made stocks and pie shells, fresh fruit and veg in mismatched vintage bowls, and house plants in all sizes just to name some of my favorite bits. This area was so fun to explore, and had a sweet seating area with vintage lounger and repurposed bench seating options. Staff on both sides were kind and relaxed which I much appreciated. A welcome change from so much of the city. I will gladly continue to come out from the south side, winding along 16th street to Speedway to grab more of their beautiful pastries and cold case offerings. They are doing it right over there. Down to the pep talk on the kitchen door for staff. This place is a TREAT, Indy. Don't let her wilt. <3

Today was my first time visiting to celebrate my 31st birthday along with my parents & my closest friends! We were seated in the back room where there were two long tables that could each seat up to 12 comfortably. Knowing the ones in charge were former chefs at Milktooth, I shouldn't have expected anything less than absolutely delectable. I kept saying, "you can literally taste this before it even enters your mouth". If you like eggs and dill, get this dish to at least share. The specialty iced latte I got (cookie butter) was the perfect sweetness level and I wish I would have gotten a coffee to-go. The whole establishment is shaped like a big L, with one side being the coffeeshop/bakery/market and the other being the sit-down restaurant + kitchen where you can also get the full bakery and coffee menu. The service was very prompt, our server was very warm and pleasant. I wouldn't say it was quiet, but it felt more like a cafe/coffee shop vibes as compared to a diner or your typical breakfast sit-down. It felt very "nice" while also feeling like a very casual, comfortable vibe. I will DEFINITELY be back soon to try more menu items :)

Ate brunch here and went home with way too many delicious pastries. The food and coffee was delicious. The atmosphere was very cute and vibes were immaculate. Got there at 8am on a Saturday to avoid any wait. Vegan and GF options.

Unfortunately I didn't like anything I ordered. The cinnamon roll was really cold and the icing was a bit clumpy and way too sweet. The home fries were burnt and kind of hard. And the chai tea was below average. The hostess and waitress were very nice and the atmosphere is relaxing.

our new favorite restaurant! Flavors galore without overpowering. high quality ingredients. exceptional service (yay Lauren!). i loved the breakfast I had two months ago, but the dinner... beyond top notch!

This became one of our favorite breakfast/brunch places. The restaurant looks very nice inside, has friendly staff, and parking wasn't an issue. As far as food and drinks go, everything was perfect - we got a breakfast sandwich, shakshuka, cranberry danish, and coffee/chai. Truly delicious and freshly made with decent portion sizes. Highly recommend!

I really want to love Borage, I really do! But even though the vibe is my jam and being someone who enjoys eclectic food a la Ft Sq's Milktooth, I just can't seem to even like a few of the essentials: -the parking lot is tiny compared to the quantity of seats. Plus, the restaurant location isn't as walkable as Main St in Speedway so it's challenging to get in the door in the first place. -once inside, you can enjoy the vibe or order, but every time I've been on the bakery side I have been served by staff that seemed annoyed that they had to take my order. They don't want to make small talk, but they also seem to want to make any talk, period. This has happened during three separate visits with three different staff members. -pastries and coffee are okay.... But not for the prices they charged. Not gonna lie, a post-lunch pastry that I purchased didn't keep very well to the next morning either because berries became moldy and pastry crust turns soggy. Highlight was the Gobbler sandwich... it doesn't fix the above, but it is mighty tasty if you end up here for a meal.

My A - Z restaurant quest continues at this Speedway cafe, bakery & market. Decided to support local this Valentine's Day & enjoyed the Saturday night British Invasion menu. The fish and chips really hit the spot and it was even rainy outside, mimicking typical England weather. The fries needed salt and there was none provided on the table so just a pinch when frying them would have helped. The star of the show was that Sticky Toffee Pudding. Warm, gooey, and sweet with just a hint of spice from the gingerbread cake and bayleaf caramel sauce. The pomegranate seeds added a fun touch and the whole thing was topped with ice cream. So good! I thought the service was good - the seating is pretty cozy with your neighbor, so be prepared for that if it's busy. The cafe are was really cute & I'd like to go back for brunch sometime.

Delicious food in a cozy atmosphere. Be prepared to wait for a table during brunch hours on a weekend, but it's worth it! We started with a cinnamon roll with lemon cream cheese frosting for the table, which is a necessity. My daughter got the loaded biscuit bowl and loved it. The portion was large enough to take (messy) leftovers home. I had the breakfast sandwich and chose to add rosti, which I thought would be on the sandwich but came on the side. No biggie, it was still good as I shoved it between the sandwich layers. Coffee drinks were yummy and service was top notch. We especially loved the attached market to browse in while we waited for our table. There are a ton of local options for produce, pantry goods, plants, and gifts. We will be back!

We had a great brunch here a few weeks ago. Our server was so friendly and fun to talk to. The food was delicious and came out quickly. This might sound crazy, but one thing that really set Borage apart from other restaurants was their water! I'm not from Indy originally and hate drinking tap water here, but theirs is definitely filtered. After brunch we went over to the market area. Lots of yummy looking pantry items and other treats. My daughter also loved playing with all of the toys they had out for kids.

Gigante bean salad with pressed lions mane mushroom was flavorful and satisfying. Their preserved lemon vinaigrette was a good pairing for the greens. The lions mane mushroom was meaty, it felt like eating steak. For a vegetarian, it was a great option. I didn't feel like I was missing out at all, given all the other meat-centric options on their menu. The vegan cream cheese, butternut squash, and brussels sprout brioche bun was great too. We ventured to their market which was pretty vast with specialty items you can't find in an average grocery store. They have a variety of baked goods in their glass case. The item we were surprised by were the croutons. They were so good, we ate them as a snack, and opted out of adding them to a salad. They were flavored well and crunchy. Service was okay. We felt rushed in the dining room. In the market, a few other customers were standing around for some time, without anyone behind the counter to help.

This is my second time here and was just as great this time! The menu has specials which rotate based on supplies and local ingredients. I had a special which was chicken salad melt and it was delightful. My friend had the gigantic bean salad with mushrooms and loved it. A fun place with a friend for lunch or brunch or a coffee.

Enjoyed the shop with some local goods and some baked goods. Service was friendly. Ate in the restaurant. It was a bit higher priced than expected, so it won't be a regular place for me to frequent. It was good and I enjoyed it as well as my drink. Love the decor. Quiet &atmosphere.

Love this new spot in Speedway! A cute little diner and market with a coffee shop and bakery counter is just what the west side needed. We've been several times now and never disappointed with the baked goods and coffee selection. Their traditional breakfast plate is great for those (like me) who prefer a basic breakfast spread. The tofu egg substitute is a very interesting take if you're vegan or trying to watch your cholesterol (but you probably shouldn't order the traditional plate since most other things are fried). The breakfast sandwich is good, but on the greasy side. One of the highlights is peaking in their bakery case to take home a sweet treat or splurging on a pint (or two) of Circles Ice Cream. My favorite is their cornbread + honey! Tip: reserve a table ahead of time or be willing to wait a while during brunch time.

Ate at Borage for New Years and even though it was busy it still came out great. Had two orders of pancakes with bacon and sausage. Wasn't big on the sausage but it was okay. Pancakes were amazing. Loved the selection of items in the market. Will be back.

Another fabulous experience at Borage this week. This round, I opted to sit on the market/coffee shop side and enjoy a latte while working. It's hard to beat the views of a bustling coffee counter and bread being baked behind the kitchen windows. The energy was perfect for cranking through work. My seasonal latte, the Heat Miser, was a delightful mix of cinnamon and chocolate. I picked up turkey sandwich and the INCREDIBLE espresso soaked cherry toffee cookie before hitting the road. Note that they also have some fabulous premade meals like chicken and dumplings and so on. The service was friendly to top it all off. Can't wait for my next visit.

What an adorable find. The food and service were both excellent, but the decor is something else! There was a pot on a shelf that I would have loved to take home and fix a pot of soup in. I highly recommend checking out the marker after eating as well. I ended up bringing home a cinnamon roll and can't wait to try it!

I have been here twice and am planning on going again this week. Everything I have, from their brunch, to the burgers, or their items from the market, have all been spectacular. The staff are always so friendly and knowledgeable. Go for the burgers and fries, return for the goodies offered at the market.

I've been here 3 times and only for dinner which is served Thursday-Saturday. The decor is eclectic and welcoming I love that there is an option to sit at the bar but instead of looking at bottles and drinks being made you get to see the chefs plate up mouth watering dishes. I have enjoyed all of the things I ordered but a few of the stand outs are the mushroom appetizer and the Friday night specials the burger and the fish sandwich. The burger is absolutely delicious and is what the Big Mac wishes it was and the haddock Sammy is light and crispy and will make you forget about any fried chicken sandwich. Borage is definitely one of my new favorite restaurants.I can't wait to try the pastries.

There are still folks who live in Speedway who haven't heard that Borage exists at 16th Street and Lynnhurst. Let's get the word out to everyone regardless of where they live. Borage is a great addition to Speedway plus in a great location. A large, free parking lot, handicapped parking just feet away from the entrance plus another parking lot is directly across 16th street. The dining room is large with an upscale but casual atmosphere with an abundance of sunlight. Another large room is around the corner with a coffee shop and bakery with fresh veggies and fruit and some staples. The fresh flowers are always so attractive and perfect for you or a hostess gift. Comfortable seating throughout the bakery with a large sofa, 2 and 4 top tables by the windows. I stopped today for pastries and decided to have lunch, too. Unfortunately, it was 1:50 pm and they close at 2:00. I thought they closed at 3:00 but that's the bakery hours. I always get the hours confused. The server said I could get a carryout. I ordered the Taylor's Family Casear Salad. It was a generous amount of romaine, radishes, sourdough garlic croutons, white anchovy, pecorino, and pepper. The salad was fresh, crisp with tasty croutons and the percorino was a nice touch. I've also enjoyed the All Day Breakfast with scrambled eggs, sausage patties, choice of potatoes and sourdough toast with butter and jam. At the bakery, I decided to order the large, gooey cinnamon roll with lemon cream cheese frosting, a sticky bun that lived up to it's name and lastly, an excellent large, flaky crossiant stuffed with yuzu cream. I can't wait to have these later this evening. We shared these and no one was disappointed. The service has gotten faster since the first time I was here. The server are always friendly and very helpful each time I stop in. If you're in the area, stop for breakfast or lunch or just pop in the cute bakery.

This is a fairly new farm to table establishment in the Town of Speedway IN. They have created a unique and diverse menu. They have a brunch/dinner menu. There are vegetarian options but is a vegan struggle. The bakery offers gluten free and vegan pastry/desserts. There is also a small market/coffee shop attached. This place is always busy web open. Prices for meals are $10-$20. Check website for hours, closed Monday. Parking is a challenge at times. There is a parking lot across 16th street patrons also use.

Easily one of my favorite meals i had this year. The food, drinks, and bakery items are exceptionally flavorful and well executed. Price is right. Comfortable clean dining. Service is ok. Dress vibe is casual during brunch but can see it could be a bit more intimate during dinner times. Able to rsvp online and would recommend to do so on the weekends and peak dining times. The parking lot is free but small with a one way entry from 16th St and the exit on to Lynhurst St. But there is plenty of additional free parking in the lot across 16th street. I look forward to coming back to dine in again. If I'm ever in the area and want just a coffee and bakery stop, i could do so on the cafe market side. The market offers a few ready to go items and some specialty food and craft items. I wish they provided an option to warm up some of the bakery items as some taste better warmed but i dont think they offer it at this time.

Absolutely delicious!! This was seriously one of the best breakfasts I've ever had. The Shakshuka is a bit spicy, but soooo yummy. I only wish it came with more bread to dip! I also sampled the biscuit bowl that someone else at the table ordered, and it was equally incredible. The vibe of this place is really fun as well. There is a bakery/cafe section with absolutely insane looking pastries that I wish I had had room to order and enjoy!

I stopped by the market section of Borage to try their chocolate cheesecake croissant and their pain au chocolat. I was a bit confused at first because on first bite the chocolate cheesecake croissant seemed like it was thawing from the fridge/freezer (the chocolate was super hard) but then when you bite past the hard cylinder of chocolate, it's a nice gooey mix of chocolate/cheesecake. Same with the pain au chocolat-- the chocolate part was super hard, but the rest was soft. I'd say the chocolate cheesecake croissant was quite good-- would recommend!-- but the pain au chocolat wasn't my favorite (not really flaky/layered). The interior is really nice & would be a great spot to catch up with a friend. The drink menu looked varied. I will have to come back to try the restaurant side and the drinks, but from a pastry perspective, I'd say it was a 4/5.

We've been to Borage a couple times to eat in, once for dinner and once for breakfast. Both were delicious. We've also gotten take away and frequent the market since we live walking distance away. The service is always good and we love the ambiance of the place too. I am usually too excited to take photos, but I LOVE BLTs so I had to take some this visit. The tostadas were also delicious!

10/10 food 8/10 interior 6/10 location The food was very good. It felt like an old diner inside, which was fun but I felt like the interior decorating wasn't all that cohesive? The gallery walls were adorable. The fun paint colors and cute tile was lovely. The lights were also super bright so we felt like we were under a spotlight when seated. The waitress was very kind! It did feel a bit rushed and she probably didn't mean anything by it, but it doesn't feel right for a waitress to ask us what we'd like for dessert before we even finished eating our entrees. The market side had live music which we originally thought would be on the restaurant side so that was a bit disappointing. Overall, it was a lot more casual than expected and I wish we had gone for breakfast before trying it for dinner. Drinks: The daiquiri was delicious. It was creamy, fruity, nutmegy. Everything I wanted and the glass was adorable. The not so fancy was quite odd. It sounded unique and fun on the menu but the flavors just didn't go one bit. I'd steer away from it. Food: The haddock was crispy until the very last bite. It was honestly the best fish sandwiches I've had in Indiana. The bun was perfectly buttered, toasted, and smeared with sauce. The pickles were delicious. The slaw wasn't too mayo-y. There was SO much fish on it. $18 was super reasonable. For the burger, the sauce was smothered on, so the bun got a bit mushy toward the end but that's to be expected. The flavors were great. I liked that there was lettuce on the burger because I feel like smash burgers often don't have any lettuce or tomato. It also had a yellow heirloom tomato *chefs kiss* We were way too stuffed to try dessert although we wanted to!

If you have not been here, you are missing out! I have been to Borage 4 times in one week! I will take any excuse I can make up to go. First of all, the food is absolutely incredible. Every bite is so flavorful. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. I was just saying to my boyfriend, "it doesn't matter if they're slammed or if you're the only one in there; you get the same level of care and attention." Also, it is decorated immaculately. I think they spent any extra time it took opening the place searching for the most eclectic yet harmonious decor. The colors, the art, the vibes. 1,000,000/10! You can tell every choice they make is well thought out. I love Borage!

I've wanted to try this bakery for awhile and finally remembered it and stopped by for some baked goods to go. I got the spinach and feta croissant, cinnamon roll, campfire smore, and chocolate cheesecake croissant. I knew the chocolate cheesecake croissant being the last one meant it was a hit and I was right. Absolutely divine!!!! I went 45 min before they closed, on a Saturday so I'm sure they had plenty more to begin with. I am looking forward to trying the dining option next time! Absolutely wonderful bakery

Where to start. The location itself is expertly thought out. You can tell every detail of the decor and menu were designed and executed with love and attention to detail. I had the fried chicken special on my visit and it was absolutely phenomenal. This chicken was so crispy, that it stood the test of leftovers the next day. The beet tartine was also excellent. We loved everything. My only selfish complaint is I wish they were closer to my home. But I will make the trek for this food as often as possible!!

It was a cute cafe and I need to go back to sit down for dinner. If the main parking lot if full there is one right across the street that myself and others parked in. It seemed like the overflow lot. I spent all of my time on the market side on a Saturday morning. The crown wasn't too bad around 10am but as it got later by about 11:30am the line to order was to the door. We had ordered "quick bites" and coffee and we're going to go back and grab some of their huge cinnamon rolls as we were leaving but they ran out it was so busy. So get the cinnamon roll while they're still available. They're a hit. The breakfast burrito and breakfast sandwich are under the quick bites so they came out right after our coffees and were pretty good. I wouldn't say the burrito was anything to run home about but the sandwich was nice with its homemade croissant as the bread. I got an iced Carmel latte with oat milk and it came in a Mason jar which was a nice touch. I believe their cofffee is from Helm so love that they support local. There was an area for kids to play, plants for sale, little trinkets, fresh fruits, vegetables, pies, ice cream, and more. I will definitely be back to check out what else they have available because I feel like I just touched the surface.

Obsessed. New favorite brunch spot. Really great latte and breakfast cocktail selections, not overly sweet. Amazing rotating menu of specials. Best cinnamon rolls ever-so good that they keep selling out when I show up. Good vibes, friendly service. Cute market area where you can buy pastries/coffee to go along with a gourmet grocery section. Wish I lived closer but will happily travel to make a stop.

Borage is a blue Mediterranean herb and the business did a great job in carrying this throughout the restaurant and market. It's beautiful outside. Flowers and herbs growing, chalk painting done on the sidewalk by kids, benches and last but not least the beautiful painted flower murals on the walls outside. They have a cute walk up window to order from also! When you walk inside the to the left is the dining area with a bar. To the right is the bakery with a great view of them making the pastries. They were making lemon cream cinnamon rolls when I was there and goodness they looked amazing!!! As I was getting ready to order a fresh batch of them arrived at the case. You better believe I ordered one! It was warm and delicious!!! The vanilla late was perfection! So good! The market was so cute! Local honey, fresh flowers, comfy seating it all works. I like how they added color into the space. They used the little Welch's jelly jars for little flower vases. They were cute. All the little touches people do notice. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and will be back again. It's not far from Main Street in Speedway and from the IMS. This is such a great addition to Speedway!!

A hidden gem! Starting with the ambiance, what a great place to bring a large group or even a family. There is plenty of space and they have not only high chairs, but slings too! The place is beautifully decorated with a market attached. Great place for a meal or even just a place to work. The food was delicious!! I really loved the cinnamon roll latte. Service was also great with kind and helpful staff. We will definitely be back!

I'm thrilled that Borage has joined the Westside and Speedway, IN community! I stopped by on my way to work to grab a latte and breakfast burrito, and I was pleasantly surprised. The café has a charming and open atmosphere, making it a delightful spot to visit. They offer a great selection of baked goods, fresh fruit, wines, hot sauces, and other local items for sale. I opted for the sweet peach matcha and a sausage burrito, and both were absolutely delicious. The service was quick, and the staff were friendly and helpful, making the experience even better. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes, which was perfect for my busy morning. I'm looking forward to returning for brunch or dinner soon!

This place is so cute and unique! The decoration and fun and it's very near and clean. Service was prompt and efficient. The food was pretty good! Very buttery so if you're into that type of thing this is your place. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu. The attached market is also awesome with tons of local items and to go containers of some of their menu items. If you're not sitting down to eat the market is great because you can grab a coffee and a pastry in a hurry.

An amazing, detail-oriented, exciting eatery has opened in Speedway! From start to finish, this place is incredibly well thought out. There is a parking lot outside (but it fills fast during brunch hours! May need to park across the street). The art starts outside with beautiful flowers and cool benches. When you go in, there may be a wait (on a Sunday at noon we had a half hour wait for 3 of us), but we went into the cafe half of the building and got coffee and pastries to go while we waited! The market in the cafe portion has lots of cool, local and artisan goods. We bought a loaf of sour dough and 2 pastries to eat in the upcoming week. We also got the hot chocolate and the mocha while we waited for our table. The hot chocolate tasted like it was literally melted chocolate, and the mocha had a salty foam on top which was a perfect way to counteract the sweetness. It was beautiful and possibly the best mocha I've ever had. Nice our table was ready, we went through the beautifully decorated restaurant to our just-as-cute table. The waitress was very nice. Our party got the Turkish eggs, the grandpas skillet, and the breakfast plate. The Turkish eggs were so flavorful, unique, and accompanied by the perfect amount of bread. The grandpas skillet was also uniquely flavored and tasted incredible. The breakfast plate had fennel-maple sausage which 2/3 people in our party enjoyed (the other was just hoping for regular sausage). This is the best, newest restaurant in town. I will be back to work in their cafe, buy pastries, and back for dinner at some point!

Came here for the soft opening and it was so special! From the beautiful setting with the rounded archways, eclectic paintings and wall decor, pops of color, comfortable seating, and even a countertop in front of the kitchen - I feel so lucky to live in Speedway and get to have this spot right around the corner from me! Our table picked a few dishes to share and my favorite out of all of them aside from the Tiramisu pie (YOU NEED TO TRY THIS ... so good I dreamt about it last night) was the flatbread sandwich. All of the dishes we ordered tasted delicious while still making us feel healthy. The ingredients tasted fresh. I also really enjoyed the polenta fries. I cannot wait to come back here in the morning and enjoy pastries with coffee. I like that they have affordable prices and their cafe menu runs all day. Way to go Borage! Everything from the service, to the quality dishes crafted with creativity, and the beautiful space was so special. Dining here felt like the warm fuzzy feelings of comfort and nourishment when coming home to a home cooked meal after a long day. Just the best.

Loved it all. The cocktail menu is awesome and our server made the dining experience fun. We went here for my mother birthday party and the accosted our 15 people plus party fast and efficient . The have an extensive menu with a lot of different options and break. They have specialty mimosa with apple cider which was different but good , they also have traditional mimosa with orange juice but I wanted to try something different. Borage also has a full service bakery with fresh breads and pastries. I will say if you have kids with you menu is not traditional so my just want to get the kids pancakes and bacon something simple other than that good experience

My friend was visiting from out of town and I am so excited that we made a reservation to go to Borage. The vibes are clutch. I decided to go with heirloom tomato BLT and it was the absolute star of the show. We also tried a pastry (s'mores croissant?) as well as a turkey club, but nothing could compare to the heirloom tomato BLT.

My husband and I finally made it here after following Zoe's pastries during the pandemic. Borage is nestled in the heart of Speedway which isn't a neighborhood we frequent, yet. It took a few minutes to see a hostess but were sat right away. Glad to see it so busy! I walked over to the bakery side in order to see the pastries in the case. I chose the lemon curd and berry (red and black raspberries today) croissant. While I love each of those individually, it was on the sour side as many of the berries were tart! I was going to order the Turkish poached eggs but then I heard about the Tasso ham biscuit bowl and we both ended up getting it! I'm so glad we did because I would have had food envy. It came with fried diced potatoes and I don't know what they did but they were the best things ever! The biscuit was beautiful and it came with an egg. Highly recommend! My husband got the French toast as his sweet item and while I was very full! I tried one bite and it was delicious! The bread is about two inches tall but THE softest bread ever. We stopped by the market side and picked up some cookies and a couple interesting grocery items. Well stocked and full of local options! Can't wait to return to this beautiful place!

It's new. It's pretty. It's delicious! We had the Southwest chicken soup with black beans. Topped with diced red onion and tortilla strips. Not too spicy, lots of flavor and very filling. Also had the savory croissant with asparagus. Different from anything I've ever had, but really enjoyed it. The service was perfect. There is a lovely market and bakery too. Even some fresh produce available. I want to try a chocolate croissant!

If you live in speedway, or visiting for the Indy 500 make sure you stop at Borage! Or just an afternoon for some good food. Check this place out! It's literally a one stop all kinda place. You have the restaurant side which serves American eatery with fresh local foods but combining different types of flavors in one dish. They serve brunch and dinner! My favorite brunch item is the Loaded Biscuit Bowl! Then you have the cafe side that serves delicious lattes and in house pastries which you can look at through their open windows at the kitchen side. That's not all! They have a grocery store, plants and local boutique items like claw clips shaped in fruit form?? Adorable! Highly recommend this restaurant! It has all the best and right things you need in one place.

Brand new place in the heart of Speedway. Borage feature artisan pastries, fancy coffee, and a full menu of farm-to-table entrees. I went for breakfast and grabbed a seat at the counter in the cafe. I ordered the breakfast sandwich and a latte. The sandwich was fantasitc with homemade sausage, cream cheese, egg and pickled onions. The bad side is my latte never made it to the table. I was told the line was really busy. I'll cut them some slack since they just opened but they need to get that resolved. The cafe part of the building is different from the store part where the coffee is made. The servers have to walk all the way over to the store to get your drink. Thats going to get ugly when its busy. After my meal I walked over to the store and looked at all the gorgeous pastries in their case. Everything looked awesome and I look forward to trying them soon. Give it a try and be patient with the kinks while they are new.

There are two sides to Borage--Cafe and Market. This is for the Market because the Cafe was closed in preparation for the dinner service. However, I did snap several photos for you to see. We met the two Chef Masterminds, Josh and Zoe, who are the heartbeat of Borage and the creatives of this vibing space. It's a gathering place for coffees, teas, fresh market items, fresh baked goods, and to join friends to eat a good meal. They just opened so they are working to fine-tune everything for you to create a smooth, tasty, and efficient experience for you.

My favorite Caesar salad in Indianapolis! Borage: what can't they do? There's a market filled with many local goods and unique small businesses, a grab and go cooler, and inside the market is their bakery. The design of both the market and restaurant side are so thoughtfully curated. Restaurant side food is delicious and with rotating specials there's always something new to try. The owners are so talented and they've hired so many talented people.

Our first visit was amazing! Borage has been on our list since they opened earlier this year. We dropped in right when they opened (5 pm) on a Friday and sat at the bar. The menu feels very extensive and I'm already planning what I'm going to get on our next visit. There was a special menu for dinner, plus a cafe and all day brunch menu. One thing I noticed was all the coffee options - much better than your average coffee shop. We ordered the Friday special - a haddock sandwich and double cheeseburger with fresh brisket (hope I have the details correct). They were SO filling and absolutely delicious. Note: they don't come with sides and now I know why - you're already going to struggle to finish the huge portion. The marketplace is located on the other side of the entrance and features gifts, take-home items, a really comfortable seating area, and coffee bar. I loved the burger so much, we picked up some ground brisket to take home. The entire place had a chill vibe. If you plan to go, come hungry and hang out for awhile!

Walk don't run! Only been here once but can't wait to get back. We had a lovely person waiting on us and we wanted for nothing. The latte, breakfast sandwich and mimosa was just what we needed to get our day started. I'd definitely recommend to all my friends and bring people if you want the mimosa bottle service.

The service was so good and the donuts are made fresh. I just sat at the bar on a Saturday morning and enjoyed a nice quiet mini breakfast and the PSL was one of best ones I've ever had. The inside is adorable and can't wait to come back to try more of their menu! Highly recommend

This is such a cute spot in Speedway! I wasn't looking for a heavy breakfast today so I got a chocolate croissant and yogurt parfait. Both were delicious! The croissant was so good, crispy yet soft. How do they do it?! Yum. I got a vanilla cold brew that was also tasty we went on a Sunday morning at 9am and the crowd was very light. The market is also so cute. They do coffees and have pastries to go which is SO NICE if you don't want to have a sit down brunch!! Can't wait to go back!

A unique and hidden gem in Speedway that's not your average brunch place! This cafe/bakery has the cutest vibes and quality food for an affordable price. We were seated right away on a Sunday afternoon and service was quick with our food. We got this iced berry matcha that was so pretty, a veggie frittata with an Asian twist which was so unique, and the breakfast sandwich which came with this perfectly fluffy egg. Everything tasted so good and was super aesthetic too. I'd recommend coming earlier if you want to try some of their unique pastries, they have so many cool items I definitely want to come back and try more!

So incredibly good! Pimento cheese is exceptional. Market is also fun to visit- the cinnamon roll is on point!!! Service is great. Get here!!!
