Some of the best Mexican food I've had in a long time! I would eat here every day if I lived nearby. Also the price is surprisingly reasonable for the portions and quality of the meals! I split the steak fajitas with my husband and we were both so full, the queso and chips were delicious too. Salsa had a nice kick to it. I would strongly recommend this spot if you're looking for satisfying Mexican food in the area. The staff working was very kind. This restaurant seems to be family run which is wonderful, I hope this business stays very successful!

Been here twice, both times got the tacos (corn tortillas), and they were amazing. Served with a generous side of tasty rice and beans. The guacamole is also out of this world, as are their chips. The service is also top notch, super attentive. You really can't ask for more, this place is a 10/10, probably my favorite Mexican restaurant of all time.

The service was quick and the employees were so friendly. The food was delicious 🤤 I could write the review on only the rice and beans and give it five stars. Tasty sides aside, the tacos I got were piping hot and delicious, and my husband really loved the chimicanga!

Food and service was absolutely excellent! Authentic and delicious, this is one of my go-to’s for an impeccable Mexican meal. A hole in the wall restaurant that exceeds all expectations - not only in the food, but also in the great “la familia” service you get. My favorites are the enchiladas verde and their flan, which is simply perfect - the right firmness, sweetness and smooth texture. This small restaurant gem is right next to Universal Studios theme park and within walking distance, so it’s easily accessible. There’s also plenty of parking in the strip mall where it’s located.

Excellent food, top tier service as well. Very fast and friendly staff. Chips and queso was good but the California burrito and green burrito were both exceptional. Will definitely be back!

We stopped here for a lunch while on vacation. Four of us, including two children and we all loved it. I had fajitas and chips and queso, kids had a quesadilla and rice and beans and dad got the nachos. Every was delicious. Very fast service too. We will definitely be back!

We were really excited to try this place, and it 100% lived up to its reputation! Absolutely lovely (and super fast!!) service, cool hole in the wall atmosphere, and DELICIOUS food. We shared chips with salsa and guacamole, a taco salad with chicken (SO good!!), and the supreme tacos (steak, chicken, and pastor). We didn’t leave anything on our plates! Absolutely fabulous food. Loved the rice & beans that came with the tacos, too. A highlight was the Horchata — an absolute must! Guac texture & flavour was 12/10, the fresh salsa was spot on, and truly, it was all fantastic. Run, do not walk. SO. GOOD. (Proof is in the photo; couldn’t even wait to take a picture of the salsa & guac!)

This is the ONLY Mexican restaurant I ever take my mother to when she's visiting. We are from San Antonio, the land of TexMex and so far all of the other Mexican restaurants would be an embarrassment for me. I took her here once before Covid and she said it reminded her of home. I took her again two weeks ago, and everything was just as good, no shortcuts were made, and the food was just as authentic and fresh. She was in heaven. The service is also great. The only con is that this spot is still a bit tight on space. For as good as they are, they would do well to expand; the investment would be so worth it. This is our Mexican restaurant spot in Central Florida, do not miss out.

Once, four years ago, while passing through Orlando, I encountered BGFM. On that day, I had their Green Burrito. I have dreamed about this burrito, I swear to you, nearly every day since. I've told anyone who would listen to me that THIS... this was the best wet burrito that money could buy. And that someday, I'd be back. Today was that day. Nearly four, long, burritoless years of longing later. The Green burrito was just as good as I remembered -- Nay, better. I very rarely write reviews unless I am extremely passionate about the experience I've had... And "passionate" would be an understatement in this case. (Fast service, good atmosphere, EXCELLENT food. I'd give it six stars if I could).

Came here spontaneously with a group of friends while we were visiting Orlando, and it was one of the best spontaneous decisions I've made! The food here is surprisingly really good. I got 2 steak tacos, and it came with a massive plate of rice and refried beans. The portions here are so big and you definitely get your money's worth. Also, the refried beans here are SO GOOD. Don't know what they put in them but they were so addicting and I'm not normally a fan of beans. The tacos and rice were also delicious. Super flavorful and fresh tasting. The decor inside feels like a cute mom and pop taqueria. Colorful decor and seating. We didn't have to wait at all for a table for 5 either! Super friendly workers and quick service as well. This place is a hidden gem. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a casual & quick but super filling & delicious meal.

The absolute best California burrito on the planet. The business is family owned and operated. They are kind, quick, and authentic. The interior is always packed so I suggest calling your order in ahead of time. They are now open on Sundays! I can't tell you the amount of times I wanted a burrito on a Sunday and had to cry myself to Monday. This place is the best. I love it

We ordered from Border Grill while on vacay near Universal because they're right across the street from where we stayed, so I ordered to go. Seemed OK based on what I read online, but once I got in the dining room, they said they didn't have lengua and I didn't see prices posted for what I ordered (I asked for a chicken, avocado & cheese burrito, nothing crazy). Overall, is was EXPENSIVE, over $50 + tip, for a burrito, two 3 taco plates, and 3 fish tacos. I thought they came as combos with rice & beans based on the price, but I didn't get a receipt! The fish tacos were nasty! Seemed like soggy tilapia with shredded lettuce?!?! The chicken in the burrito and tacos was SUPER SPICY and burned, too (see pic) and worst of all, 3 of the 4 of us had tummy trouble the next morning. I really regretted taking a chance of this place and we ended up throwing away uneaten food.

This is a small place in a strip mall with good food. The chairs are uncomfortable as hell but luckily the food makes up for it. I wish the chips and salsa were complimentary but I really like chips and salsa so here we are. You order at the counter (at lunch time) and they bring the food when it's ready. The place got super busy but the wait for the food wasn't long. This is just good old basic Mexican food like your abuela would make. The burrito has tons of shredded beef the chorizo con huevos was bountiful, with enough tortillas to make tacos. The rice and beans were good and the horchata was tasty. This is my go to place when I want hearty Mexican food. I say check it out

This place is excellent!! The food was absolutely amazing and our waiter was incredibly nice. This is a very small restaurant with impressive food. We started out with the loaded nachos with beef and chicken. The chicken was very good, but the beef was killer. Everyone picked beef for the protein. If you're looking for character dining, don't come here. If you're looking for amazing food, run here.

Nothing like an authentic hole in the wall Mexican restaurant!! Staff is sweet and accommodating, food is great and comes out fast, and the prices are very affordable.

I am very impressed with how far Border Grill Fresh Mex has come within the past 7 years that I have lived in this area. It has always had a good reputation for authentic Mexican food, but the restaurant has become much more inviting and has ample seating now whereas it was originally more of a grab and go situation. Personally, I love the fact that they have enchiladas mole here as not all Mexican places offer it. Food is always ready quickly if I place a call ahead order and I have also eaten in a few times with great service.

I love this place and I have ordered the Chicago burrito several times I always enjoy it. The fries are crunchy even though they are inside of a burrito. The steak is seasoned so well.

This place is a hidden gem! The food is absolutely amazing and authentic. The service was above and beyond. You can tell that they love what they do and proud to run that place. I'm still dreaming of the fajitas and dip trio. It's a small place so limited seating, so get there fast if you wanna snag a spot!

Yummy! This place was delicious! Tucked into the end of an unassuming strip mall, this place looks like a super basic, run-of-the-mill Mexican restaurant. But, the sauce on the Green Burrito was lick -the-plate good. We also really enjoyed the flavor of the Spanish rice. My fish tacos were solid with a big piece of avocado on each taco. Nothing extraordinary, but tasty. The horchata was in the same category - it was fine, but nothing special. Overall, we would go back JUST for the friendly, SUPER fast service and that Green Burrito.

If you love authentic Mexican food. This is the place to go to! They have amazing flautas- it's my usual go to dish here. I tried the steak tacos today, I did enjoy them as well. Service here is great and quick. They are bilingual (Spanish and English speaking) so they're able to help you with the menu if you have any questions. My boyfriend and I enjoy coming here often to eat! We have tried several dishes from here and we are never left unsatisfied!!

This restaurant is amazing. I've been searching for years for anything to stand up to the kind of Mexican food I had living in San Diego and the search is over. Staff was awesome and so polite. They had the coca-cola from Mexico and every flavor of Jarritos you could ask for. Cook staff whipped this stuff out quick and fresh, so fast I started to question how fresh it could be. Well in my first bite I knew I found my new spot and I live an hour and half away. My California burrito brought a tear to my eye because it reminded me of the west coast and paired that with their house hot sauce, I was in fat kid heaven. If your like me and complain you can't find good and I mean good Mexican in central Florida, try this place out.

Got my food to go... Absolutely the WORST Mexican food I've ever had. It hurts to say but it's true...this restaurant should be ashamed to serve food of this quality. They don't even deserve 1 star... 0 star rating. Definitely would have been better if I went to Taco Bell. The Border Grill Fresh has made my Black List of places to avoid when you are in the Orlando area. So let it be written... So let it be CLOSED. Note: I didn't even want to take a picture of my food. SAD FACE

Border Grill gets 5 stars for being 100% authentic. Best Mexican food I have had in Orlando. Don't come here for ambiance and mariachi bands. No uniforms or decor. This is plastic chairs and metal trays. This could be in Tijuana. Burritos were fantastic. Salsa was great. Be sure to ask for the green and red spicy salsas. Service was fast, friendly, and attentive. Can't wait to go again. I hope I can get in.

I love finding local gems when I travel, and I definitely hit the jackpot with this one! Don't be deceived by the business location, in a strip mall. The service and food are excellent!

A wonderful authentic Mexican restaurant. The food at this location was wonderful because it was fresh and authentic and the food was the exact same that you would find in Mexico and they have a secret new desert item coming to the menu soon that I personally thought tasted very good. The service here was delightful because the staff were very friendly and polite and my food was cooked very quickly and well. The price here was very affordable because it only costed around $12 US. The ambiance of the location was a Mexican restaurant. The tables and the floors were very clean. For the reasons I have stated in this review, I highly recommend and encourage you to visit this location because of the good food and good service and good ambiance and very affordable prices.

The second time our family has come here and the food is great!! Authentic fresh Mexican food. Do not let the outside or inside fool you. We would recommend the 3 tacos (steak or beef), or the green burrito. I have a really healthy appetite and the green burrito was more than I could eat, but I did finish because it was so good. We will be back the next time we come to Orlando.

This place was a huge let down. Luke warm food and lacking flavor. Over priced for what you get. I would not come back here. The fajitas were not fajitas just grilled chicken on a plate. What a joke. Dont come here.

Visiting in town and stumbled across this little gem. Looks like a hole in the wall because it's in an outdated strip mall but the inside was vibrant and the people were very nice. There are a handful of tables inside and two small tables outdoors. We ordered the steak and chicken fajitas which comes with all the fixing: rice, beans, guacamole, lettuce, pico de gallo, sour cream, cheese and tortillas. We cane really hungry and found that one serving is plenty big and we we actually had some leftover! The refried beans were bursting with flavor. I eat Mexican food at least once a week and I've never had beans like this. Very tasty and the chicken and steak were cooked to perfection and were not spicy at all. Would recommend this dish and this restaurant. We plan to go here again before we leave town.

I used to live nearby over ten years ago and now live 30 minutes away (thanks to Orlando traffic). I have yet to have found more delicious fast Mexican food. The flavor is homegrown and not fabricated. The service is super pleasant and the food value is incomparable. You must visit Border Grill! It is a must while in Orlando. A little hole in the wall lol, but the food tasted great. Ordered a grilled chicken burrito, chips and salsa (which is not free, like some other Mexican spots). Salsa was different, I've had better. The burrito was fantastic and they have their own sauces, which are great as well. The inside is definitely nothing fancy, you might be taken back a little by the inside, but definitely take a chance on this place. Service was good, the lady was very nice and attentive.

Maan, if only y'all knew how often I come to this place. I think the California Burrito actually cured my depression and now It's on my list of places to recommend anyone looking for an authentic hidden gem, or hole in the wall experience. I've been going here since pre-covid and I'm so glad that they're still around to serve the people in the area. I always get the fresh chips and salsa, or chips and quest. Ive had the fajitas, the tacos and the tortas, but I always go back to the Cali Burrito. Try their spicy homemade sauces if you dare and enjoy the ride you won't leave sad.

If your right by universal studios and craving some bomb mexican food don't miss out on Border Grill right next door. I have truly found my new favorite Mexican restaurant and it's here in Orlando, FL. Phenomenal service as soon as you walk in the door, they have both indoor dining and take out, and the food OH MY YUMMY IN MY TUMMY haha. Great value for the amount of food you are served. This place is very difficult to beat. Great job to the entire staff and store owner of this establishment I cannot wait to come back again soon! ^.^ P.S- We ordered the Carne Asade (steak) fajitas and 3 mix Mexican Style tacos which both entires comes with rice and beans. Chips and salsa are not complimentary but for $2.50 serve you a great amount!

By far the best Mexican spot I've experienced in my visit in Florida. It's also close to Universal Studios so definitely swing by if you're around the area. Service is incredibly, very friendly and serves very big portions. I ordered the falutas and nachos supreme, both of which I recommend! Came in with the group and the food was so good, a few of us ordered a second order to take home with us. I'll definitely be coming back here next time I visit Orlando.

Updating my review to give this place a five star cause they totally deserve it. Authentic Mexican food. Service is fantastic. It's a bit small but it works. there's always people inside the restaurant so that has to mean something right? Yes! It means it's good! Definitely give it a try if you're in the Orlando area. It's located near universal near the Kirkman and Vineland intersection.

Insanely great, Mexican food. The veggie burritos are special. The refried beans are different. The service is super quick and fair priced.

Absolutely delicious. Great portion sizes for a decent price. The food came out super quick once we ordered. I had the fish tacos and the seasonings were spot on! Very flavorful. I warn that the hot sauces are overwhelmingly spicy. Your tongue will be on fire for quite a while afterwards. The atmosphere is casual, and I could tell this is a local favorite, as a lot of the other patrons were construction workers, hospitality clerks, etc. who appeared to be stopping by during a lunch break. Would go again!

This is an absolute favorite of ours. We try to make it in every couple of weeks because it is so FANTASTIC!!! The Horchata is so yummy!!! It is a "hole in the wall" kind of place, but that keeps scaredy cats away. If you are brave enough to venture in, you will not be disappounted. Then it can be your new secret fave too!!.

Really fast, really fresh and really good food. They have a spicy sauce to die for and their grilled chicken has so much flavor. Def recommend this place after a long day at the park and do want to spend any more money or time.

Amazing food and service. Was here on vacation with my family and we came each day. Fajitas , chicken tortilla soup and Chile relleno were so good ! Also they have a great hot sauce that is the cherry on top.

Is salsa suppose to be this watery? Where are the chunks!? It's been a couple of years since we last ate here. The taco salads are great but this time we decided to go with something different. California burrito and chille relleno enchilada with chicken soup. Chicken soup is flavorful and refreshing even though it's summer and 100 degrees out. Mmmm soup. The burrito was heavy and cheesy so after a few bites I was done. Chille relleno was okay. Seriously though why is the salsa watery? I'm not sure what these chips were dipping in to. Give me some onions!!! Service was great and friendly. Food came out fast. Parking is plentiful but I can see it getting packed since it's next to a popular noodle shop.

Went here with the family because the ratings were so high. The service was great, the food was average, which isn't bad, just ok. The best thing on my plate was the rice, made perfectly. I ordered 2 entrees, the chimichanga with shredded beef and the chili relleno/ chicken enchilada combo. The enchilada was lukewarm in the middle but had good flavor. The relleno was good, with the right amount of cheese. The chimichanga was ok, but I was expecting cheese inside, which it didn't have. The beans were also good. My wife had the fish tacos, which are grilled. She said they were good, but not over the top. The Pico de Gallo tastes pickled. Also had the guacamole, salsa and chips to start. Salsa also tastes out of the can. The guacamole wasn't made to order. It's a little different than you would get in most places with extra ingredients, more like my mom used to make it, but I prefer simple and made to order. My toddler had the beef quesadilla with fries. The fries weren't crispy, but the quesadilla was good, but no condiments to go with it, except ketchup for the fries. Overall, good place for a quick bite if you're looking for a lower cost meal.

Nothing says authentic like a good ole hole in the wall restaurant! Border Grill offers amazing Mexican food with authentic flavors and vibes. I have been dining here for a few years now and they truly never disappoint. If you are vegetarian they offer great options including vegetarian burritos, enchiladas, fajitas and nachos! My favorite item on their vegetarian options is their enchiladas. The sauce has the perfect amount of flavor that satisfies the craving of Mexican food. Of course, the offer a whole menu of protein fills options as well. I have tried almost everything on their menu and have never been disappointed. I highly recommend the chicken enchiladas or flautas but if you are feeling adventurous I would suggest the California burrito. It's a burrito filled with steak, Guac, veggies but most importantly FRENCH FRIES. The first time I had one it was an explosion of flavors in my mouth! The added french fries amazed me and I don't usually like burritos. I'd also love to add that if you are feeling under the weather, they offer a chicken soup (caldo de pollo) that will bring you back to life. Check them for at any time of the day and you won't regret it.

My wife and I ate here 5 years ago. And the experience was just as good today as it was 5 years ago! Delicious food, great price, excellent service. This time we brought our daughter with us, and the food was served within 7 minutes from ordering it! This place is "a keeper!!!"

This little joint was absolutely amazing! Food had so much flavor, well seasoned. Authentic Mexican food. And the service was just as good. Our waitress Rena was the best. We had so much food left over. It's not a glamorous spot. It's a little hole in the wall, but I am so glad we stopped here.

This place is no joke some of the best Mexican food we've had. I will be dreaming of my tacos until we can visit again. It's a dive....and a dive you can trust. They don't have many tables, but we were seated very quickly. In the back corner, near the mirror. Sure....put a mirror up. I don't mind watching myself eat tacos. . The service was super kind and helpful. We ordered chips and queso to start. It came with salsa as well. The salsa was a bit too spicy for our 6 year old, but we loved it. The queso was good, but we won't order it again. Maybe some guacamole? Anyway...food came out super fast. My sons quesadilla was good. Nothing too crazy. The fajitas came out sizzling and everything was perfectly cooked. Lots of well seasoned proteins and tasty veggies. We also ordered the tacos. It said they had onions, but came with peppers as well. I pulled the peppers and the ate it with the onions. It was awesome. The steak was awesome. I'm already ready to go back. It was all really amazing, and priced affordably. 2 things.....1. They don't take Amex. We found this to annoying, but it was worth bringing another credit card. 2. You will leave smelling like Mexican food.
