BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE
The service was admittedly terrible. I was there yesterday with friends and the host was unbearably rude throughout the evening.
Their discriminative behavior was obviously there, the way he treated the other customer who was speaking English versus us speaking Korean was clearly different(and it's even more ridiculous cause I myself and all my friends are bilingual). When I had to go to the restroom, he stopped me aggressively(he pushed his palm almost on my chest) and 'seat down, I'll call you when it's empty’ while he was nicely showed the way to the restroom to the other customer in a polite tone. I've never experienced that kind of language or attitude and discrimination as a customer in my life. I’m pretty astounded by the fact that I still had to go through this in 2021. And of course, he didn't get back to me at all.
On top of his attitude, just the customer service itself was terrible. It was terribly hard to get a host's attention plus get him to explain us the menu(he literally said 'oyster and scampi', so we constantly had to ask him questions about what's the dish, not just the ingredient lol). Plus It was really impossible to just chill and enjoy our meal since a server approached us every 5 minutes to take our plates even though the food was still there.
The wine we chose was out of stock, and the host was rude about getting us alternative and continuously threw passive-aggressive remarks at us for the rest of the evening. He even left a comment on my friend saying 'oh, so you do have some knowledge about wine'. Please, for the love of God, your job is not judging or ranking people by how they look, what they wear, or what language they are speaking!
I honestly don't know how they are in a service business while disparage and mistreat some customers like this. It's such unfortunate because the food was actually great. But due to the terrible quality of service and the host's attitude, I don't think I will ever go back.
