The 25 Essential Montreal Sandwiches

"They refer to themselves as a ‘sandwicheria’, so it’s clear that sandwiches are what it’s about. And while the long list of hot and cold options are all pretty noteworthy, coming in at the top of the list is the chicken parm sandwich, which is a traditional cutlet layered with mozzarella, parmesan, olive oil, and hot pepper between rustic ciabatta.  A close second is the Diavolo, which includes layers of salami, calabrese, fontina, and provolone topped with lettuce, tomato, banana peppers, marinated red onions, pickled veggies, and aioli." - Erinn Blicher, Eater Staff

The Best Restaurants and Bars in Verdun | Eater Montreal

"If you could stop at just one spot to stock up on provisions before a picnic, this should almost certainly be it. The hard part will be deciding which striking sandwich to order: chicken parm slathered in tomato sauce and basil oil, rapini and sausage, or the new hoagie option, packed with salami, capocollo, mortadella, prosciutto, cheese, pickled eggplants, and hot peppers. Whatever you decide, you’ll be fine — just don’t forget the ricotta cannoli for a proper finale." - Eater Staff

I stopped by on a Sunday around lunch time. There was plenty of paid street parking in the area. It was very busy when we walked in. The signs are clear about what line to wait in. They are quick to take our orders but it was at least a 30 minute wait for our food, which I found very long. They seemed organized but this place is so popular it gets too busy during high times. Nevertheless, we really enjoyed the food. We took it home with us and everything tastes great. The bread was really the best part. We had the chicken parm, chicken cutlet, and prosciutto. I wokld definitely consider coming back here despite the long wait (maybe I will come outside of busy hours) and/or try visiting one of their other locations. The dessert was amazing, too.

If you’re looking for an amazing sandwich that’s the size of your head, this is the place to go. I routinely come through MTL for work and need to grab something for a long drive - this is always where I go. The sandwiches are delicious and filling and the food is fresh. The pricing is great for the quantity and quality of food you’re getting. 10/10 all around

Really enjoyed both sandwiches we tried ( sausage/ rapini and milanese) sausage was a bit spicy for me but delicious nonetheless. We had crema di caffe for dessert which was a great way to finish our meal.

One of the best sandwich in Montreal. I got the Milanese, it was very flavourful and crunchy ! The waiting time was about 30min but the service was good ! For a 17$ sandwich Overall 8/10 👌

We ordered catering for our event. Delicious 😋 The tuna is a sleeper!!! I would never consider ordering tuna normally, but took one in the platter for diversity, tried it and was impressed! Better than the cold cuts! Competing with the cutlets and porcetta! The picture is 2 sandwiches platters 120$ each + tx

Bossa is my favourite sandwich restaurant both for take out and dine in. The food is great and fairly priced for what you get. They have an extensive selection of sandwiches, salads and drinks guaranteed to satisfy anyone. The staff is always friendly and efficient in their work, can’t recommend them enough!

Quick service and delicious sandwiches! I do think theybneed to lower their air-conditioner a little bit, it was absolutely freezing in the store. I understand some people might like that, but we were 3 people with different temperature tolerances and we were all freezing. Regardless, the food is great! The sandwiches are tasty. A bit on the expensive side, but it makes sense because of the quality of the ingredients.
