"Big plates of food for under $16 are as essential to living as oxygen, water, and Amazon Prime. Boston Shawarma is a quick counter-service place where you can fill up on meaty pita wraps and sandwiches every night until 10:30pm. You can’t go wrong with the signature shawarma sandwich, but we prefer the lamb kofta, and we almost always finish with the baklava." - dan secatore

"Boston Shawarma is a counter-serve shawarma place on Northeastern’s campus. It serves big plates of the usual lamb, chicken, and falafel, and not only is everything better than average but it’s pretty cheap, too. Start with the standard shawarma sandwich on a nicely grilled pita wrap." - Dan Secatore

The amount of good food that you can get for less than $20 is insane. I got the Lamb Plate and it was able to feed me for two meals and their hummus is incredible.

Great value for money. I have never finished my plate ($17), and I always leave fulfilled. Also free water with entrée is a great touch. I will keep coming back, even though it is near Northeastern.

Such a hidden gem in Newton! I got mix plate with 3 kabobs and a falafel, came with fries and hummus and salad. Hummus and tahini sauce delicious. Meat fresh and juicy. Good place for family outing. Clean and comfortable.

Good tasting shawarma with amazing hummus! It’s a tiny rundown spot with just a few tables for dine-in, but the place was packed with students and locals on a weekday. The meal came with a nice portion size and packed with great flavors. Perfect spot for a quick bite too.

I love this place. Right on campus and perfect when craving a chicken platter. Although sometimes my chicken comes a bit dry/stale but other than that can’t complain. Every time I get a platter it lasts me 2 meals…portion size is worth it.

Delicious vegetarian falafal sandwich and fantastic service! I appreciated the free water bottle and the honey baklava was just perfect, not too sweet. I'll definitely be back for more!!

First time trying Boston Shawarma and I got the Chicken Shawarma plate and I was expecting the chicken to be flavorful but it wasn’t. Chicken was very dry, little burnt and had no taste. The rice didn’t have a taste either but it was good. Salad was fine, the orange sauce sorry I don’t know the name of it but it was very good and spicy. I wish I had that over the chicken to give it flavor but overall wasn’t satisfied with my meal and I felt like it was over priced too.
