Where to Drink Espresso Martinis in Boston This Winter | Eater

"This sprawling pub near the historic Faneuil Hall marketplace is everything you want your neighborhood pub to be. In addition to a frothy espresso martini made with Absolut Vanilla vodka, Kahlúa, and cold brew, bartenders here mix rich Kahlúa into several inventive coffee cocktails. Come for brunch on weekends to try the whipped cream-topped Deja-Brew with Kahlúa, whiskey, espresso, and cream liqueur; or the Cinnamon Toast Brunch with a mix of Kahlúa, vodka, cream liqueur, and cinnamon and a cinnamon cereal garnish. Try them alongside Bostonia’s challah bread French toast, which features roasted and caramelized bananas and an amaretto cookie crumble." - Molly McDonough

We went to Bostonia to celebrate a birthday. The waitress was very attentive and gave us good recommendations. We tried two of their mock tails and started with some oysters. We wanted to try the whole menu but ended up having the stuff, crab cod. The atmosphere was very nice. They sent out a lovely birthday dessert and celebration. Their s’mores dessert was so yummy!

Google
Really good meal. Stand out dish was Faroe Island Salmon which was a generous portion, well cooked and with unusual and generous accompaniments of grains, feta cheese and pomegranate. Chocolate torte 10/10. Alcohol free cosmopolitan superb. Great service and vibe.

I worked at Government center for 20 years so I've walked past this restaurant at least a thousand times and never went in. So I finally got a chance to check it out for lunch today with a friend. The first thing we noticed was the super sad face their greeter had. The young lady didn't look happy to be there. Thankfully our server was friendly and attentive. I ordered the clam chowder appetizer which was very good up to Boston standards. Then I tried the house burger, which was also good. The fries were excellent. My friend ordered the avocado toast with a duck egg, and felt the bread was overcooked. Otherwise it was good. The decor and atmosphere were cool and I'd probably come back and try the bar next time. At least that way I can skip the greeter.

Google
Very nice place. Menu is large but not crazy. Lots of good options. Loved all the gluten free dishes. Could go here for a week straight and not have the same thing. Highly recommend for celiacs. I had the warm lobster roll and while it was small it was amazing. Service was good too. Good timing and friendly. Staff of was really on top of removing empties and keeping our drinks full. It was a little loud but it has a big bar and it was 5:30, so expected.

Google
Hands down, fantastic food and a great experience! We started with the Thai curry lemongrass coconut milk steamed mussels—absolutely delicious. Then came the avocado toast, topped with pistachios (such a creative and tasty touch!). We couldn’t resist trying the classic hot lobster roll, and it did not disappoint—fresh, buttery, and satisfying. To drink, we enjoyed the Blackberry Lemondrip (so refreshing!) and a Bloody Mary. If you're visiting on a weekend, don’t miss their amazing Bloody Mary bar—available on Saturdays and Sundays! The service was outstanding. Gracie went above and beyond, not only taking great care of us but also giving excellent suggestions for places to explore in Boston since we're visiting. Highly recommend this spot for both locals and tourists—great food, drinks, and service all around!

Google
Stopped by for brunch and had some delicious hot lobster rolls and oysters. One of our party members got a Nashville hot chicken that wasn't spicy at all. But other than that, the atmosphere was great, food was great, staff was great as well. Would return for sure.

Google
Our server, Kim, was outstandingly professional and kind. Our meal was, without exaggeration, the best we have had in Boston. The clam chowder was also the best we’ve had anywhere. The sweet potato donut holes for dessert are a must-have. Even if you don’t like sweet potatoes, try them! You won’t regret it. I’m pretty sure they’re deep-fried in the tears of angels before the bourbon sauce is poured over them. Many thanks to BPH for the best birthday dinner I have ever had!!

Google
Great service rendered by Karen. The food was delicious. I never had a Mac & cheese as good as that and this was only the side. The lobster roll was at Boston level. We ordered a southwest salad and I can still taste the smoking of that bacon. Sooo good. And my wife ordered the pork chops, but the main attraction in her plate was the sauce that came under the pork chops. If you add some rice, that could be my entree. Great dinner

Yelp
We had a great experience and meal at the Bostonia Public House. I was a little worried that we would have trouble getting in or get a few looks walking in with three small children but we were welcomed warmly, sat promptly and the food was really very good. We started with the onion dip which I have to say was interesting. It was good - just much different than I expected. I thought we were in for a take on french onion dip but this dip was super sweet. For dinner I had the warm lobster roll and it was the best I had during my trip to Boston. Pro tip is ordering a side of drawn butter with it to really take things to the next buttery level. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals and cocktails so I certainly recommend stopping here if you can!

Yelp
Ambiance: it looks like a nicer version of a pub. it's pretty big - upstairs & downstairs. Service: it was pretty fast. the server didnt say much other than take our orders which were fine with lol Food: I got a lobster roll & clam chowder soup. it was the first restaurant to give me tabasco for my soup & it was so good this way! the lobster roll was also good! the fries are my favorite type of fries so was happy about that. my boyfriend got the hot chicken sandwich. he said it was really good and that the chicken was tender and flavorful. while the food was good, the $$ is on the pricier side for a casual restaurant

Yelp
We had decided to go to Boston for Valentine's Day overnight. Since it was only a little over a week away, tracking down places that had a table for two at a decent hour was a bit difficult. We settled on the Bostonia, in part based on Yelp! reviews, but also for the general "public house" feel and the great menu on the Web site. We arrived about 15 minutes earlier than our OpenTable reservation time, and were promptly seated at a "high top". I'm normally not a fan, and thought I had specified I wanted a table, but in this case, their high top chairs make it work. It's like you're seated at a table, just higher up, and unlike a lot of high tops, it was comfortable for the duration of our dinner. The staff were all attentive and friendly, but not overbearing. We shared the harvest burrata, which was very yummy. The burrata was a little lost in the cacophony of flavors from the root vegetables, pomegranate, seeds, etc. but everything comes together in a way that makes the dish work. I had the one Valentine's Day special - a surf & turf option with a lobster tail, in a lobster bisque sauce, and a petit fillet. It also had some spinach and a stuffed baked potato. The lobster tail and potato were both great. The filet was just a little overcooked for me, more medium than medium-rare. The spinach was good. My spouse had the roasted 1/2 chicken which was also good, and he got a LOT of food on his plate, with the sides of roasted potatoes, broccolini and the rest. He got a V-Day "red velvet creme brûlée," and I had the flourless chocolate tort. It was very dense and chocolatey - perfect. Definitely a place we'll consider returning to next time we're in town.

Yelp
Came here after exploring the city. Place was lively and decorated for the holidays. Great service. We only got cocktails and fries - but everything tasted good. Saw the other dishes from the tables around us and the food presentation was spot on. If you enjoy vodka, i recommend the harvest moon cocktail. Would definitely come here for dinner. 4 drinks and fries was $75 + tip = $100.

Yelp
Cool spot downtown. We came in around noon for a snack and beverage and didn't have a reservation but they had a table available for a bit before their next reservation so they were able to accommodate us. Our waiter was very nice and let my husband try a beer before he ordered since they didn't have his first choice. We enjoyed the spicy shrimp appetizer and the crab Rangoon dip and I was impressed on how tasty it was! Creamy, full of fresh seafood and a significant portion size. It was packed for lunch so I would say getting a reservation prior to arrival is probably in your best interest. Would revisit.

Yelp
Amazing food. Get a reservation. Come hungry and be ready for some amazing options. The spicy chicken sandwich was amazing, the burrata was a great appetizer and the fried fish was huge!
google avatar

Yelp
The food was amazing! Tuna tartare was out of this world! It was very flavorful, and the chips were home made. We had to get extra chips. The chai martini was wonderful and was strong! Service was great! Everyone was kind, professional, and appropriate. They got our orders and delivered food in a timely fashion. Very knowledgeable on the menu. Ambiance was nice! The restaurant was clean and everything was presentable. The place was packed but everyone was spaced out where you didn't feel crammed.

Yelp
Service was great. Bartender was very knowledgeable. She gave us great recommendations for dinner and drinks. Tried the chowder which was very good. But the crab crusted cod was amazing, and it was a large portion. Would order this again and again.

Yelp
We had a very nice late lunch here after a long walk around Boston. Nice atmosphere and plenty of seating. I started with a Tito's cosmo and then ordered their cheese board. Good appetizer for two or the perfect size for one as their entree. My husband ordered a southwestern salad with chicken and he said it wasn't great. I think when he saw other customers yummy burger and fries plates coming out he had buyers remorse . It was a fun bar and a big menu to choose from. Definitely worth a return trip.

Yelp
Stopped in for a drink after a long day of exploring Boston. From outside it looked warm and comfortable, and it lived up to appearances. Easygoing and knowledgeable bartender. Chill vibe. No upselling or pressure to order food if that's not why you're there. Serious selection of wine and spirits. Old fashioneds were just about perfect.
google avatar

Alyssa C.

Yelp
This was by far the best restaurant we ate at during our visit to Boston. We walked from the Bostonian Hotel around 6pm and we were sat immediately. The vibe inside was really chill, very old-school smoking room type design with industrial components. I have to be gluten-free and the server was very knowledgeable. Their house Old Fashioned was one of the best I have had in a very long time. Perfectly balanced. I ordered the filet and it was delightfully cooked with a nice crisp 'crust' and the correct doneness for a medium rare. It was really delicious and seasoning was nice. The whole place was a vibe and the food was wonderful.

Yelp
Our new favorite place to eat when we're in Boston! Food was awesome, a little bit unexpectedly gourmet and delicious. Our waitress did a great job. The live music (Ron Poster Duo) was a perfect way to finish our day. Drinks fantastic, too. And we loved the photos of all the Boston mayors past and present near the restrooms.

Yelp
Decided to try brunch at Bostonia Public House and overall, it was a good experience. The food was delicious. I had the Butter Poached Lobster Benedict and the lobster was great. However, the English muffin was a bit too tough to cut through. The service was a bit lacking, though. We had to wait a few times for our waitress, and unfortunately, my friend's boyfriend didn't get to eat his full meal while hot since we were waiting on something as simple as hot sauce. This included refilling our waters. Yet, our waitress was quite attentive to the table next to us. It was a bit of a letdown considering how great the food was and the lovely upstairs seating with a nice view. Otherwise I still recommend.

Yelp
Great restaurant with a little bit of everything to satisfy any palate. My group of 4 was hungry and on the hunt for some food after walking the harbor. This spot was in a great location and offered up a nice selection of typical Boston fare. Most of my table opted for something with lobster in it, but I got the bolognese. It was made with a handmade, curly-q-type pasta and the sauce was delicious. I really loved the dollop of ricotta on top! The Lobster Mac, the lobster roll, and the lobster burger all got great reviews from my friends and we left with full and happy bellies. Our service was great and I loved that I could get a carafe of wine (as we all inevitably end up getting around 2 drinks when we eat anyways). Definitely a must-try when you're in the area!
google avatar

Benjamin B.

Yelp
Great food, good service, and I like the look of this restaurant, cool design. The bar has awesome lighting. Be sure to ask about their complimentary bread, it might be a secret. Great oysters. It is a louder place, probably not for quieter conversations.
google avatar

Jessica B.

Yelp
Decent. This is your average Boston restaurant. I like the vibes in here; screams old money with the nice wooden bar and beautiful (but extremely heavy) bar chairs. My husband and I came in on a Sunday morning for a late brunch. I ordered the ham & cheese omelette. It was delicious! I loved that they used gruyere cheese. My husband got the breakfast burrito and couldn't finish it because it was huge! I would recommend checking this place out :)
google avatar

Nina N.

Yelp
Got to come here for dinner on a work trip and sat solo at the bar. The ambiance is nice and cozy during winter for the dark chilly weather. Their drinks looked good and delicious and I've been told it's great for brunch. I got the lobster roll and sadly was disappointed especially with the price. It wasn't that flavorful and needed to be served with some lemon (which I had to ask for). And the fries with it weren't crispy and undercooked. Overall a bit underwhelming but the service was great and quick. Maybe I'll have to come back and try something else.

Yelp
Looking for a great place for chippies and sippies (eg: french fries and cocktails that you enjoy midafternoon as a little treat/pick-me-up)? Can't recommend the Bostonia Public House more! We visited on a Friday around 3ish, and - while it was busier than we were expecting already! - we were able to sit at the bar. Very rarely do I say this, but those stools were SO COMFORTABLE. They were wider and deeper than the usual bar seating, I so appreciated the hooks discreetly hidden below for my stuff, and the overall decor of dark wood just felt so old New England pub to me (the enormous windows allow a ton of natural light in though, so it never feels oppressive [if that makes sense]). The staff? So attentive and so refreshingly normal (not at all artificially friendly; when our first bartender's shift was up, she asked if we would be cool closing our tab early [we get it, you want that tip!] we did, and our next round of drinks from her seemed... much more generous, let's say). DRINKS: I had the Fountain of Youth (vodka, elderflower liqueur, lime, lemon, mint, agave) which was a balanced, thirst quenching drink for a warm day, my partner had the Bostonia Barrel (an old fashioned; it was okay) and also a pour of Talisker 10. FOOD: We only saw duckfat sweet potato waffle fries or rosemary parmesan shoestring fries available on the menu. We told our bartender we were vegan, and could they just do normal fries... with the chipotle ketchup we saw came with the waffle fries? She was like, "Absolutely!" And, very soon after that, a delicious bowl of salt and pepper fries arrived with our sauce. Golden on the outside, mashed potato-y on the inside, they were everything you want in a good fry. And that ketchup? A little sweet and a little smoky heat; and, now, I can never boring ketchup again. We were allowed to linger for as long as we wanted, the new bartender constantly filling up our waters and giving us space to finish our second round drinks. Later on in the day when we couldn't settle on another place to have drinks, we were tempted to just come back here. And honestly? We should have!

Yelp
We ordered the fried chicken sandwich, beet salad, avocado toast, and lobster frittata. We asked for a quieter seating area and so they sat us upstairs. The avocado toast was interesting, with more vegetables than bread I would say. There were beets on the toast and so there were a lot of beets on my beet salad as well. The lobster frittata was filling and the fried chicken sandwich was good too, but there were very few fries that came with the sandwich. The servers were nice and attentive and I would recommend this place to others.

Yelp
Bostonia Public House has something on the menu for everyone! I recommend using Open Table during busy times. We were sat immediately when we checked in. Waters and a friendly server came over to us right away. We shared a southwest salad to start. I got the salmon entree and my hubby got fish and chips. Everything was tasty and the food was out pretty quick. Both entrees were hefty portions and could have easily been shared! Or it's always good to have leftovers! Definitely check out this place - you won't be disappointed! They have great music playing too. Oh and they have a brunch on the weekends!!!
google avatar

Yelp
Great Food, service and restaurant (vibe) was the perfect way to kick off an exciting week in Boston for training! Explored a handful of restaurant hot spots on the North side and Bostonia Public House did not disappoint. From the gorgeous and yummy cocktails served to array of appetizers and entrees that tantalized our tastebuds, it was clear why Bostonia is a highly rated (and visited) restaurant on Yelp. We ordered several cocktails (one not pictured), wine, lobster Mac n cheese, State st chilled seafood platter, mussels and the tater tot poutine to start, then we ordered hot lobster rolls, ribeye steak, seared scallops, and the pork chop (I think). Everything was amazing but the highlight for me were as the sweet potato donuts! Blew me away how great they were! Do yourself a favor and be sure to check them out when in Boston.
google avatar

Riley H.

Yelp
Went here for brunch on Sunday morning with my girlfriend. The foot was incredible and the service was also great. I ordered a lox bagel and was thoroughly impressed. The salmon was fresh, and the bagel was perfectly toasted. I also ordered a breakfast style old fashioned and would definitely order it again! I had a great experience and would be happy to come back any time! The ambiance was very nice and classy but didn't feel underdressed or over dressed in any way!
google avatar

Jenee' J.

Yelp
Okay. We just popped in here for fresh oysters and clam chowder. Maybe best clam chowder I've ever eaten so please get it. The oysters were fresh and delicious and I could've eaten them all day. The place wasn't too busy but they did ask us to eat before the reservation came in for dinner. The drinks were refreshing. I'd def stop in for dinner if we had more time!
google avatar

Eliza N.

Yelp
Pub atmosphere loud today on St. Patrick's Day. Good beyond burger, calimari extra crunchy and a good portion. Salad reportedly ok w grilled chicken grilled a little dry on the chicken. House Merlot very smooth good choice. Lots of festive decorations, recorded music playing. Good vibe for St. Paddy's Day.
google avatar

Beth Ann P.

Yelp
Located in the heart of North Boston. A plethora of bourbons, gin, tequila and wine to choose from. The atmosphere is nostalgic and pub like, absolutely love it. We stopped in for cocktails before dinner at another location. Our bartender, Steve, was quick with service and provided knowledgeable information about Boston. Definitely a nice stop for cocktails. My husband tried the Oysters which were a happy hour appetizer and he enjoyed them.
google avatar

Tiffany H.

Yelp
It's my go to place when I vome to Boston to visit my daughter I would give 5 but, This time the service was super quick. We sat l, order n ate in less than 30 min! Before we finished the oysters the eggs came out! Talk about being rushed. I guess bc we came at 2:30? Brunch ends at 3? ‍ I felt like we just sat down. N next was paying the bill! Quickest $120 I ever spent! Food was ok, as usual we had dz oysters, Lobster Eggs Benedict and ham Benedict. The eggs were over cooked it was almost hard boiled instead of gently poached. but last time I was here, I sent it back and it took forever to remake. So didn't want to send it back. Maybe they'll get ut right. I understand it's busy but if I'm dropping $120 I think I should get good service n good food. I'm from NY so I'm used to great food and amazing service. I love the ultimate Bloody Mary set up. I'll have to try it one day.
google avatar

Monica L.

Yelp
Great service. Nothing beats the bloody marry bar! The food is very unique and delicious with large portions. They have live music for brunch!
google avatar

Alex F.

Yelp
Sat outside because there was a wait for indoor: very pretty seating but strangers do walk through it on the sidewalk. We ordered the poutine tater tots and the clam chowder for apps. My boyfriend loved the clam chowder, 10/10. The poutine was great but I wish it had more cheese. Scallop entree was 9/10: I loved the yellow mash underneath and all the veggies, my boyfriend didn't love the way the scallops were cooked. Cold lobster roll was packed with lobster and tasty and fries were pretty decent. Service was pretty good, just tough to get more drinks.
google avatar

Alfredo H.

Yelp
Beautiful place and from the hostess to the servers they make you feel very welcomed. All of the small dishes that we ordered were amazing. Try the shrimp, clam chowder and the ribs. You'll love them all.
google avatar

Kelly G.

Yelp
Playing tourist in Boston we worked up an appetite and so we stumbled into the Bostonia public house, conveniently located in the heart of Boston and close to nearby historic attractions. We sat at the bar and proceeded to order, cocktails, and lunch. I started with the pumpkin pie martini. I do not recommend this martini unless you like very sweet and dessert like cocktails after a few sips I could not drink anymore due to the sweetness . We also ordered the onion dip as an appetizer and this was also very sweet. It tasted as if they added a healthy dose of sugar to the preparation, and it was not a good flavor. I don't recommend. I do recommend the lobster roll and the spicy beef and pork Bolognese. The latter reminded me of childhood dinners of hamburger helper, and A confident, intelligent I was here for it! I actually really enjoyed it. It was a nostalgic lunch for me. The lobster roll was fresh and stuffed to the brim with meat.
google avatar

Natalia J.

Yelp
Really adorable atmosphere here. Walkable distance from the pier but a nice cozy spot in the middle of the urban jungle. Their half dozen oysters were the object of my wayward thoughts for the next three days. The lobster roll did leave something to be desired and was not as buttery as it could have been, but served very generous chunks of lobster and had a perfectly crisped roll.
google avatar

Brian M.

Yelp
Great wings, excellent service, ice cold IPA and a lively vibe. Clam chowder was scrumptious and a great DJ during Saturday Brunch.
google avatar

Keri W.

Yelp
We wanted to grab a quick bite and a drink so we stopped in to this pretty restaurant/bar. The bar chairs were great. I know maybe this may be an odd comment but I can't stand uncomfortable bar stools. These were comfortable and they fit the decor on the restaurant. I ordered the mussels on Tom yum and shrimp cocktail. The sauce the mussels were in was great. Really enjoyed them though I would say the garnish (fried crispies) was a bit much. The shrimp cocktail was good but the shrimp were a bit salty. The food we ordered was fine and the place is nice. I would go back and try other items.
google avatar

Linda K.

Yelp
Our server, Mary Ann treated us to 5-star stellar service! She is one of the most friendliest employees we met! The restaurant felt warm and cozy. All decorated for the holidays! Beautiful Christmas decorations tastefully throughout the restaurant on a brisk late-November evening made our dining experience even more memorable! The food was delicious and we would recommend without any reservations. Clam chowder was beautifully plated and served hot. The chicken wings had heat and were so tasty! We enjoyed Sam Adams beer and a Bostonian ale with our meal! The hot lobster roll was stuffed with lumps of lobster meat (no fillers), the bread had a nice crunch on the edges and smooth and warm on the inside. The steak was cooked to perfection. We wrapped up our meal with the freshly made doughnuts and a cup of fresh hot coffee! Would highly recommended! Thank you Mary Ann for making our last evening in Boston so enjoyable!

Yelp
I always had lovely meals here. It can be hard to get a table as an FYI. But the wait is worth it. I love their cheese burgers! They have great apps and a great drink menu. My sister is celiac and the restaurant was able to accommodate her when she was visiting. They are busy but you get food in decent time. This place has a good vibe. I never felt rushed. When I'm back in town (recently moved away) I'll definitely be back.
google avatar

Kailee G.

Yelp
The most delicious meal we have had so far! The ambiance is very cool, especially for the holidays. Our server was so nice and we got complimentary champagne for us celebrating our honeymoon! I will definitely be back!

Yelp
Well damn. This place was great. We were seated immediately after being greeted. There was a live band playing as we sat at a pub table. It was very interesting inside. Sports on tv at the bar, live band, high tops everywhere but the waiters were dressed up. It was a lot of fun looking around. We ordered drinks right away- I did not like mine, so my husband drank it, so I ordered the espresso martini instead. It was perfect. For food I ordered the steak frites. The Parmesan fries were plentiful and crispy, the arugula salad was gently dressed but the tiny cucumbers and tomatoes made it offset the steak wonderfully. The steak was cooked exactly how I prefer and came with a bleu cheese butter. Overall it was really amazing.
google avatar

Gloria M.

Yelp
Came here for brunch and the service was very attentive. She came over several times throughout our experience. We sat upstairs and it was so nice to be separated slightly from the louder brunch goers. They had a super cool Bloody Mary bar. I got the breakfast poutine and it was great. The eggs were cooked well, the beef was so tender and soft and honestly it was all really well priced. Except the cocktails, those were $17 a piece and that's pretty expensive. Other than that it was all very fair
google avatar

Savannah H.

Yelp
One of favorite go tos. The brunch is spectacular with their Bloody Mary bar. The cheeses are always plentiful and high quality. Love that we have the canned brown bread, a classic. They're very accommodating and comforting with allergies so I feel safe too! Good scotches good wines and fabulous bar staff.

Yelp
Only had dinner there since it was open late after my delayed flight into Boston. It's very loud mainly a bar scene but the bar menu was very good had a limited menu.

Yelp
very yummy food, good ambiance and decor, fast service. everything we ordered was a hit.

Yelp
This place was a great find on my trip to Boston. Excellent location in Historic Boston. The food was pretty good and the service was excellent. [At the Table]. Sitting at the bar was a different story. The Martini itself was very good but the Bartender was rather Pompous and Arrogant in his service to us. Seems he didn't like my request for fresh stuffed olives after watching him open a jar and add them to my Martini. Other than the bartender, I appreciated this place. I would absolutely try again. [UPDATE] I received a private message from "someone". Although I won't share the details here... the message goes on and on in a very derogatory manner. Such as calling NJ a "garbage dumpster". I was truthful and honest in the review.

Yelp
ORDERED - short rib breakfast poutine - sweet potato doughnuts Stopped in for brunch on a saturday and they were able to seat 5 pretty quickly. We were sat upstairs with all the other large parties so it got pretty loud in there. Service was decent, nothing extraordinary as they forgot to bring a few things we requested (napkins, forks, creamer/sugar). The POUTINE most definitely hit the spot - tots were nice and crispy and the short rib was seasoned well. This was a HUGE portion though, definitely could have shared with others. The DOUGHNUTS were SO dang good. We ordered these off the server's recommendation and we're glad we did. Would definitely return to order these again.

Yelp
Our first night in Boston we elected to come to this classic bar and restaurant near our hotel. We had a really good experience. The restaurant is dimly lit and fairly casual. Largely dark wood decor, stereo typical of a classic Boston restaurant and bar. Eesa(sp?) was our server. She was friendly and attentive. She gave my wife good guidance on a cocktail...Eesa was great! I have to say, I was blown away with the quantity of spirits, especially whiskey, that they have in the bar. It rivals most bars with a reputation for large spirit inventories. We started with their clam chowder. Creamy but not thick. Great flavor. Next we shared their salt and pepper chicken wings and their tuna poke. The wings were crispy, spicy and flavorful. The tuna poke was served on a bed of sticky rice. Avocado, seaweed salad, scallions and cilantro were then mixed with a light coconut citrus sauce. It was like a Thai tuna poke. We really liked this as well. We had a great light dinner with well crafted cocktails and plenty of whiskey to choose from. We will definitely be back to try more dishes and drinks.

Yelp
Stopped in for bloody marry's and has a great time. Our bartender, Emily, made the event. Engaging and sweet she gave great tips on how to built our custom bloody marry's at the buffet and made my wife a fantastic off menu drink. Would come back just to sit at her bar.

Yelp
The Ambience was great, super chic decor and chill environment. We had a reservation, so we were seated quickly the service was also timely. The food was DELICIOUS. we will definitely be by again.

Yelp
Bostonia Public House has a nice atmosphere and great food! We had the poke, clam chowder, tots poutine, and burrata, and all were great. The burrata was our favorite, and we would also recommend the poke and poutine. The chowder was about average. We also had great friendly service from all the waitstaff.

Yelp
We were directed here after we tried to go into a bar down the street that closed kitchen up early. Boy, are we glad that we did! This was some of the best food we've had in Boston! The live music was perfect for getting us into a relaxing but upbeat mood. We came 5 minutes before kitchen closing but the hostess asked us if we wanted to order off the main menu. I overheard her colleagues asking her why she did that and her response was that we seemed nice and that was really sweet of her considering we are in town for the sole reason of trying food! Our waiter seemed a little distracted and wasn't as attentive but because of the above mentioned things and actions of the other staff, I decided it wasn't bad enough to take off a star.

Yelp
On our last day in Boston we stumbled upon Bostonia Public House and loved it. Probably the best place we ate our entire trip. Although the menu seemed a bit pricy it also seemed to stack up with the prices in Boston. My husband found the Lobster Mac and Cheese to be phenomenal, my son loved his fish and chips and the clam chowder was delightful. Although it was a pricy lunch, 100% would recommend.
