Robot-Run Botbar Coffee Opens Inside a Midtown Sanmiwago | Eater NY

"Installed inside a Midtown location of Sanmiwago at 1695 Broadway near West 53rd Street, I note a new robot-run Botbar coffee outpost that uses the same Richtech Robotics-branded two-armed robot introduced at the soulless Greenpoint Botbar in May 2023; that original robot—named Adam—still requires some human oversight, and the Greenpoint owner Sunny Lam says they are not involved with this Midtown expansion." - Emma Orlow

I ordered the beef noodle soup and popcorn chicken, but personally, I didn’t enjoy them much—though that’s just my opinion. As a Taiwanese person, I have certain expectations for how these dishes should taste. The popcorn chicken wasn’t bad, but it didn’t have the authentic Taiwanese flavor I was hoping for. It also seemed a bit stale and lacked the crunchiness I expected, so it wasn’t for me. The beef noodle soup was okay, but again, it didn’t quite capture the flavor I associate with traditional Taiwanese restaurants. I admit I have high standards for Taiwanese restaurants because of my background. However, if you’re looking for a more American-Taiwanese fusion, this place might be worth trying.

The bowls were good. The dumplings were okay, we had the combo, My suggestion, better get the signature dumplings. i think the flavors are better, some dumplings were bland, needs a little fat and flavor. The service and vibe was okay.

We really enjoyed our meal here. Soup and dumplings were both very good. The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly. There was a small problem with our order but they were quick to correct it. We would eat here again.

Kimchi and pork pan fried dumplings are DELICIOUS! Service is fast and good, plenty of seating area for a quick bite. Clean tables and restroom. 5/5 would recommend to anyone.

Best dumplings on Broadway.!!! I had the signature pork and yellow chive pan fried because I love the crispiness. I also enjoyed the shrimp dumplings noodles broth was delicious with yummy pickled vegetables and steamed bok choy. The sauces for the dumplings were delicious as well. Friendly and polite staff quick service. The chef in the back is so sweet and she whips up delicious food like she is five ppl.

This place opened up a few blocks from my building so I was excited to try it. My boyfriend and I are currently on the hunt for the best soup dumplings in NYC, and these are not it. For $15 I was expecting them to look and taste much better.

Pork noodle soup was great although beware it's a pork chop and on the bone which made eating awkward with chopsticks. The chicken dumplings are the best dumplings I've ever had and the rice bowl was superb. Nice little venue with jazzy music playing (not loud) and great atmosphere. Happy to have stumbled across it.
