The Best Citywide Wine Delivery In London

"Aptly named Bottle Apostle have shops in Victoria Park Village, Crouch End, Clapham, and Primrose Hill. If you happen to live in any of the above then you can swing by to pick them up between 11 and 6pm, or simply order in from delivery apps." - jake missing

Google
Great beer selection - I was told by one of the staff they have 100+ different branded beers. Really recommend the Trumer Pils. Decent selection of non-alcoholic ones too like the Days lager. Well worth making this your regular to support local but mainly because of the superior range fuelling new discoveries during lockdown.

Cool place I really like the walk in freezer and the fact they sell saki definitely will be back

Great wine emporium. The owner recommended a bottle of English Bacchus from his own vineyard. Absolutely delicious!

A great example of retailing as it should be. Managed really well - a consistently knowledgeable, welcoming team - their wine recommendations are always spot on. The cold cold beer fridge always has more than a few gems. Love going in here.

Google
A great selection of wine and beer, and I'm sure a lot of it is very high quality...I've definitely enjoyed everything I've bought here. There is a seriously heavy markup on some of the products though. I accidentally bought a bottle of cider for £18...really liked it anyway, googled it to find out more..being sold for £8.25 (not a bulk buy price) online.

This store is very nice. The staff are helpful, but understandably they were more interested with selling wine to a middle aged couple than a few students. I have been reliably informed the stuff they sell is very nice, but they were not too worried about pressuring you to buy stuff.

Great selection of wines from the most well known and reputed regions around the world (Italy, Spain, Portugal, etc.). If you're unsure what to get ask the staff for help 'cause they're usually very friendly. They also have a great range of craft beer and a few spirits too.

Google
Amazing wine shop. True star is the Bottle Apostle beer shop at the back of the store. Great selection of local beer. If you're looking for a great Christmas present, they do a beer advent calendar that will blow any beer fan away.

Yelp
Bottle Apostle does so many things so well, it's a wonder that people don't flock in from all points west to take advantage of something here. Firstly, as a wine shop, it's terrific. They provide a good sampling of various types and regions (from complex Bordeaux to sakes), and everyone there is able to speak with some knowledge about any of the offerings (inc a limited selection of spirits and liqueurs as well). The manager of the shop is so well-spoken and knowledgeable about the offerings, you can't help but to wonder where he finds the time to do anything else with himself! The shop also offers a series of supper clubs in the downstairs area, and these events are terrific. We just attended a 5-course vegetarian meal with wine pairings by an up-and-coming chef who'd done time in some of London's best kitchens--and it was such a great experience. The wine was well-paired and explained, and the food was sensational. Plus the friendly ambiance and setting just made for a perfect evening. This shop just adds to the embarrassment of riches in this area, and especially on cold winter's days, I'm very grateful for its proximity to home!

Yelp
This is one of the newest additions to Victoria Park Village - a boutique independent wine shop on the site of one of the original reasons to visit this area - Frocks restaurant, which closed earlier this year. The transformation is remarkable and this new store is well laid out and full of hard-to-find and specialist wines, many of which you can try using their novel Enomatics machines - self-service wine machines. You buy a top-up card and start sampling. I went in on a whim and found myself asking for a very specific NZ Riesling - and came away with a bottle of Pikes 2008 Riesling from the Clare Valley in Australia, a great companion to Vietnamese food from Namo, around the corner. There are wine tastings and events on the way.

Yelp
Super lovely wine shop with a wide selection and knowledgeable friendly staff. They also have membership cards which remember what you have bought in the past. Really useful for when you forget the name of the epic bottle of Pinot you had a few months ago. Cheapest bottles start at about £7 and they're very good value for the quality.

Yelp
As a traveler I'm a sucker for good service and selection. The former trumps the latter. Bottle Apostle provided both. I was on a mission to bring home a few samples of London's finest craft brews. After stopping at several other "bottle shops" in the central London area I landed upon the Apostle. Selection of local and import brews are respectable. Service was outstanding and staff made well informed candid recommendations. Shop is clean and well organized. Bring a big shopping bag, you'll certainly leave with it full. The ONLY reason I didn't give them five stars is I just can't say they are as good as it gets in London for craft brew but I find it hard to believe you will find much better. Cheers.

Yelp
bottle apostle has just opened in what was Frocks Restaurant on the edge of Victoria Park and 2 doors from the Ginger Pig. It is an EXCELLENT wine shop. There are wine tasteing dispensers where you put in a card and help yourself to a taste from about 20 different wines, sweet looking dispenser. And actually I guess that it is cheaper to buy than in a pub - they don't seem to have gone for a mark up on this part. Wine selection is good and varied and they do a range of beers, say 15 or so different ones, that I haven't seen elsewhere. How civilised to pop in there, try a glass or two for a few pennies and then buy a bottle or two for the weekend and a couple of beers for 'just in case' You can also buy your meat at the butchers two doors along at the Ginger Pig - I'll do another review for them Decor is good The two chaps that seem to run it appear enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Only draw back is there are no young attractive women staff.
