Emily in Paris Season 4 Locations You Can Visit (Even On A Budget)

Known as one of Paris’s traditional bouillons, this type of restaurant originated as a place to get soup and is typically housed in a really beautiful room while still offering a full meal that isn’t terribly expensive. The long-standing tradition continues today, and it’s the kind of spot where chefs genuinely hang out, combining everyday affordability with classic Parisian brasserie charm. - India Lawrence

Affordable, quality French cuisine ! ✨ My experience at Bouillon Chartier was amazing!! I tend to backpack around the world and one of my hostel roommates recommended this restaurant for its quality and affordability (compared to the rest of Paris). My server was GREGORY and he was AMAZING!! He was very attentive, kind, and professional. I know very little about French cuisine, but Gregory gave me great recommendations for my meal along with drinks and dessert, and I was very happy. The meal was very delicious!! The prices are very affordable for Paris, but better yet the quality is truly superb! I’m happy I got to come to this restaurant and experience French cuisine 🎉 and thank you Greg for making my dinner memorable 😊 I will definitely come back!

At 8pm on a Monday evening the restaurant was busy, with a lively atmosphere. We were quickly shown to a table and English menus provided. Food arrived promptly and overall I quite enjoyed the evening. We had a decent meal for a reasonable price, and what more do you need? I'd be quite happy to visit again when I am next in Paris.

Saw a long queue during lunch time and decided to join the crowd (FOMO). We got a seat after some wait and the place was crowded. Menu is pretty simple and my group ordered a fish and a duck. Food arrived pretty quick. Taste wise, its pretty normal. Verdict, you get value for money for the food here.

We had a wonderful dinner at Bouillon Chartier! Our waiter Sam was absolutely fantastic – friendly, efficient, and made the whole experience even better. We tried escargots for the first time and loved them so much we ordered a second round. The duck was delicious, and the duck breast was truly exceptional. Desserts were authentic and solid, and the wine list offered very good choices at reasonable prices. A great place for a classic Parisian experience without breaking the bank!

The main draw here is the very low prices, though the food quality is modest. It’s a good spot to sample traditional French cuisine on a budget. Service is fast but somewhat chaotic due to the constant flow of customers. Reservations aren’t possible, but even on a Friday evening around 7:30–8 pm we were seated immediately without waiting. We tried two starters (nothing remarkable), some cheeses (excellent), and two meat-based mains. For dessert, we ordered rice pudding, which seemed very popular among locals but was overly sweet for our taste, and an apple compote, which was even sweeter.

It’s always tasty, very quick, and reasonably priced. The steak with potatoes costs €13, and it’s delicious. The only thing that surprised me was that the waiter didn’t bring us water, even though I asked three times.

Well this is as authentic as it gets if you have watch videos on this it's exactly what you get. The portions are smaller than usual but then if you want to sample French cuisine at affordable prices, this is where to go. It's visited by locals and foreigners equally which gives you confidence that it is authentic food attracting locals . You know how the French are picky about their food. While it's super busy the servicing is very efficient really worth tipping . It's very cute the way they write your order and give you a receipt on the paper cloth on the table...My highlight would be the profiteroles Just make sure that you're there by 4:00 to catch it because it finishes very quickly .

Super affordable spot for Paris. Food was great for the price. There is a line but it wasn’t too crazy. The duck was good but the snails were my favorite. Service was okay.
