New Restaurants and Bars That Have Opened in San Diego | Eater San Diego

"This modern Mediterranean spot offers a broad menu for lunch and dinner that spans seared halloumi and steak tartare with harissa and sunchokes to grilled sea bream and winter squash agnolotti, plus burgers and pizzas. The full bar mixes cocktails like a blood orange margarita and a chai-infused Moscow mule, and the restaurant includes indoor and outdoor dining areas as well as a VIP room and meeting center." - Candice Woo

Would definitely go back! The food was great - the shakshuka had chickpeas, lamb sausage and was very flavorful, the accompanying pita bread was pillowy and warm. The brunch menu is very reasonably priced. Service was on point. The restaurant design was very intentional and neat. I liked the custom art, the mirrors in the co-ed bathroom area, high ceilings. They had expensive looking heaters with movable arms, and in general it did not look like they spared any expense in decor. (Which hopefully doesn’t impact the restaurant’s viability!) The restaurant does seem a bit out of the way, and was very quiet for Saturday at lunch - I hope more people visit so that it stays around!

Went here for our 5 year anniversary. Host was very pleasant upon arrival. Thanked us for celebrating our anniversary there and offered complimentary champagne and an appetizer, which was very gracious of them. Interior decor is very nice and pleasant. The menu was very interesting. Seemed like a blend of Mediterranean and Italian. We ordered the hummus with extra pita, kousa, the snapper, the ribeye and the hazelnut affogato for dessert. Hummus was delicious and the pita as well. Seemed like they used lard in the pita, so it had almost a homemade tortilla chew to it. 4/5 The kousa was very delicious. Didn't know it was gonna be a roll when ordered, which made it very nice to eat. The toasted sesame added a nice crunchy texture and complimented the lamb really well. 5/5 Definite recommendation! The ribeye was cooked a little under our request. Requested med rare and the steak came out more rare in the thicker parts and med rare where it was thinner. Steak was seasoned nicely and tender, however the temp was not there. It came out barely warm, probably because of the cook, but that was a bit disappointing. The salad on the side had a nice mix of greens, but the vinaigrette was a bit too salty for my taste. 3/5 The snapper was cooked perfectly and the cold heriloom tomato and red onion salad that accompanied it was very good! I'm not the biggest fan of tomatoes but I did really enjoy those. 5/5 Hazelnut affogato was a nice finish to this rather big meal. The gelato has an amazingly creamy texture and the espresso complemented it so well. Definitely gave me that pick up that I needed! 5/5 Definitely would be coming back, especially if they have seasonal menu changes.

Pros Truly beautiful atmosphere: The moment you step inside, the space feels warm, elegant, and thoughtfully curated. It’s the kind of place where you instantly relax and want to linger. Wonderful service: Every staff member I interacted with was attentive, quick, and genuinely pleasant. Their professionalism and kindness create a very welcoming feeling. Calm and soothing vibe: The restaurant has a peaceful energy that makes the whole experience comfortable and enjoyable. Lovely tableware and furniture: The plates, utensils, and overall setup are high-quality and a pleasure to use — small details that make the visit feel special. Cons A small sharp bone in the burger: The burger is too salty but tasty. Also, I caught a little sharp bone in the patty, which was an unexpected and somewhat unpleasant surprise. Tea arrived not hot enough: The water in the teapot, and even the refill, were only warm, so the tea couldn’t brew properly. It took away from what could’ve been a simple comfort. Side salad felt too simple: The salad that comes with the burger was mostly just leaves with a very sour dressing. It could really shine with a few extra ingredients and a softer, more balanced flavor. No sugar offered with the tea: I usually enjoy one spoon of sugar with tea, and it wasn’t provided — a small detail, but one that would make the experience more complete.

I had lunch here today, and the food was absolutely delicious. What a hidden treasure—you wouldn't even know it was there. The service was great, the atmosphere was really nice, and everything is laid out well. It's a great spot for a nice lunch or dinner. I will definitely be back!

This place is off the beaten path and is located behind a few apartments near a small park on aero drive. We've been here a few different times and have tried their happy hour and dinner menu. As of this writing, their happy hour M-Th 2-5pm only. There is plenty of parking and plenty of indoor seating with a small private room that you can reserve. The decor is very modern and boujie and the bathroom is next level fancy with heated toilets. The staff is very friendly and professional. Our servers have always been polite, meticulous, and helpful. Food usually comes out in a reasonable amount of time, but can take longer if they're busy. From the happy hour menu, the deviled eggs, chicken wings, fries, and pepperoni pizza are excellent! Every item was flavorful and cooked perfectly. They are known for their pita and their pizza because they also use the same dough to make their pizza. The dough is crispy, light, and airy with a nice chewy texture. The cheeseburger was just ok. The middle of my burger was medium but the outside was burnt and little bitter. Would not recommend this item. The octopus is amazing! Crispy tentacles and firm meaty texture. It was the best octopus I've ever had!! Overall this place is a gem of a restaurant. It's a bit pricey, but I think it's worth the cost.

Boujiemana high tea was everything I could image and more!!! The food was delicious, the teas were awesome and the cocktails never disappoint ❤️ A great way to celebrate with family and friends! Thank you, Samar for a wonderful time 💕💕💕

Google
Food here is on the salty side. I have a salty tongue and like salty food but I still found some dishes (hummus, pizza, stuffed eggplant) that I ordered were too salty for me. The only highlight of the meal was the smoked devil eggs. They had a very distinct and nice smoked flavor. The octopus was soft and tasty, however, the sauce it came with didn’t go well together, it actually made the octopus tasted odd. Overall, I was impressed by the interior design way more than the food. Not worth the price.

I went to this restaurant for a business happy hour and was pleasantly surprised by how beautiful the decor and drinks were. We didn’t have food because we came from a luncheon but I definitely want to come back! It’s perfect for date night with the wife. There is outside seating too that looked really comfortable.

Yelp
The staff treated us like the only ones in the place and is was fairly busy. Everything we had was really good! The drinks are on point, and the mushroom toast was a definite re order. I had the burger and fries, they were both a return trip! Overall it was a great experience. It is a little hidden but worth finding.

Yelp
Amazing experience! The Azalea cocktail was perfection, the grilled snapper was cooked beautifully, and the summer squash & sweet corn pizza was unforgettable. Huge thank you to Chad and TJ--their service was exceptional and truly elevated the night. Highly recommend!

Yelp
One of the best restaurants I have ever been to. The service is exceptional. The food was top notch. You must try the octopus. I could not believe how delicious it was. It is not calamari completely unique dish. The waiters were so friendly. They even have fancy toilets, which do everything. Think Japan. We will definitely be going back. This is our go to restaurant for date night.

Yelp
I've been here two times and both times, excellent service. Thats one of my favorite things about dining out is getting treated like a king. This place does just that. And obviously, food was great. The steak was not stringy or chewy at all. Very tender. Lastly, love the decor and ambiance. Very chic feel to the place from the entrance to the bar to the bathrooms. Would recommend.

Yelp
Unexpected upscale restaurant in the most unlikely of places! Beautifully decorated, high ceilings, dark wood, gorgeous chandaliers...definitely fitting to have the name BoujieMana. So the co-habby discovered this gem with his co-workers and had gone there for lunch. He liked it so much, he brought me back there for happy hour and it did not disappoint. The warm hand towels were a nice touch and added to the luxe experience of dining there. Note: upon entering they will ask you if you have reservations even if at the moment, it doesn't look full inside the restaurant. Standard practice and not a big deal but a couple did seem a bit perturbed that came in after us when they were asked the same thing. But I digress. The burger was juicy and delish. It came with a side of fries and a dipping sauce. We also tried the chicken wings which I actually enjoyed more than the burger if I'm being honest...I would come back just for those wings. The cocktails were nice and strong. Score! Willd definitely return for the dinner menu now that we've tried the lunch menu and happy hour menu. Cheers!

Yelp
I wish yelp had half stars because this more of a 3.5. We had a great time trying this place out. However nothing stood out to us. We were a family of three, they do cater to the littles and offer high chairs. We tried the following: Bougie Cheeseburger Roasted octopus Sweet corn soup Chicken tenders and fries (for the broke unemployed bestie lol) The burger was good, however, for my palette, i found the burger to be a bit salty. My spouse enjoyed it. Roasted octopus: i loved the pistachios and they roasted the octopus nicely. It wasnt chewy. Sweet corn soup: im bias with corn. I love corn. And i really enjoyed this soup. It was good enough to share. I wish they served some bread with it on the side. The kids meal was a big portion. I was surprised at how big the portion was. service was great. The ambiance was nice. We had a reservation and this is recommended. Parking is free and plenty of spots. I didnt check out the bathroom but wish i did. They do have private rooms if you have a large party. I would probably come back if it were in a large group outing.

Yelp
After trying at the SD Food & Wine festival, I was so excited to have my birthday dinner here. Their fish and chips, pizza, and octopus were all well made and unique, from the dough choices, presentation of the fish in a chip, and overall variety. The place is spacious, elevated, and good for a business lunch or happy hour. The little details in the menu items, branding, and friendly service make for a nice experience. It's been a not so hidden gem this past year! They also have convenient lot parking

Yelp
A hidden gem in Serra Mesa in a new building with plenty of parking. The space is modern-industrial with great lighting and beautiful art pieces in an unencumbered interior. Ruby was a beautiful and stylish hostess, DJ was a handsome and knowledgeable server, and Lou was a friendly busier. The folding glass doors create a seamless indoor-outdoor open space, and the floor to ceiling glass panels shower the interior with a subtle tinted warm light. The stunning black and green tile of leaves and vines symbolize growth, renewal, resilience, embodying the perseverance of life and the interconnectedness of living things as demonstrated by the staff teamwork. The menu was a concise and compact display of inventive dishes with a focus on modern Mediterranean fusion. The drinks are a must, so unique and served beautifully! And the bathroom? Absolutely stylish and included bidets!

Yelp
Plenty of parking and a decent sized restaurant. We came on a busy day so the service wasn't the best- I guess they usually don't have that many people for Tuesday nights. Came here specifically for the roasted duck and was not disappointed!! Out of all the dishes we ordered, my friends and I liked the duck the most. The skin was crispy and the meat was flavorful. It wasn't dry or too salty either. The pizza was okay, I would prefer if it was crispier. The hummus was good, you can't go wrong with that. And the octopus was also okay! I was comparing it to Cesarina's octopus and liked Cesarina's more as it was sweeter in flavor profiles, while this one was more tart with the tomatoes. I would totally come back for the roasted duck and to try the other dishes on the menu.

Yelp
BoujieMana is one of those rare gems where hospitality, care, and culinary creativity come together to create a truly unforgettable experience. As someone with numerous accessibility needs and food allergies, dining out is usually an incredibly stressful and often impossible task. But BoujieMana consistently goes above and beyond to make me feel safe, seen, and welcomed. From the moment I arrive, every team member--from the deeply compassionate General Manager Rafael, to the warm and thoughtful host Ruby, the innovative and flavor-master Chef Dante, and our attentive server TJ and and busser Luke--makes it clear that the customer's experience is their top priority. Their kindness, patience, and genuine care are rare and incredibly appreciated. The outdoor seating area is one of my favorite parts. It's thoughtfully designed with both comfort and health safety in mind--offering openness, shade from an awning, an umbrella for flexibility, and even a heater in case it gets chilly. The decor is beautiful, and having the park nearby only adds to the peaceful, welcoming atmosphere. Plus, there's plenty of parking, which makes getting there stress-free. The food? Absolutely outstanding. I enjoyed a custom pizza with perfectly charred vegetables, a richly flavored and balanced tomato sauce, beautifully seasoned ground beef, and warm, pillowy, flavorful dough. My friend raved about the hot wings--crispy on the outside, moist and tender on the inside, seasoned and sauced to perfection. She also had a custom side salad that she loved so much, she took half home to enjoy the next morning. Thank you, BoujieMana, for creating a space where people like me can feel truly included and cared for--without ever compromising on my safety, flavor, creativity, or joy. You've made a regular out of me.

Yelp
Well, it started out iffy, but ended with it being an awesome dinner. We took a moment to decide what we wanted to drink, so it took forever for us to get our drinks ordered. It also took forever to get them. Before we received said drinks, our server came and took our appetizer order. Well, needless to say, we received our first app, before we got any drinks on the table. I don't know about you, but I like to enjoy a few sips of my drink before I start my apps. It being my bday dinner, I told the server to please take back the app, so that we could get our drinks first. It seemed that he was a bit taken back, but obliged. But from then on, service improved quite a bit. I did apologize for sending the apps back and they totally understood my viewpoint. The restaurant looks very industrial, but with soft touches. They have scented cloths at the table for your hands and the bathrooms are top notch. (Heated seats, I think bidets, very fancy toilets). They also have gardens around the complex with fruit/vegetables they use for your meals. What a great thing! Happy hour pricing is awesome and normal pricing is great compared to the norm around San Diego. All the food we ordered tasted amazing, was absolutely fresh and we enjoyed every bite. I def recommend the deviled eggs! I will be trying this place again, maybe for brunch next time!

Yelp
Honestly had high hopes for this place. Came on a Friday afternoon with my wife. A friend had recommended this place to me and the food looked amazing and just could wait to try the Shakshukha. Super hungry and when we sat down, there was no Shakshukha on the menu. Apparently, it's only a weekend brunch menu, and they also have a separate dinner menu. Ended up getting the plain burger and a cocktail and was really disappointed. The service was great btw and the ambiance was great. Just expected a little more.

Yelp
Super quiet and chill restaurant with excellent ambiance and service. First off, the location is very mobility friendly & accessible, from entry ways, patio, & restroom. The layout provides assumed privacy while in a very open space. The menu is relatively straightforward but wait staff was able to answer questions and provide greater details. You can see the meats curing (?) to the side which is always cool to me. The food was good. The taste of snapper I had was delicious! Chicken wings were ok. I had the bougie cheeseburger. It is totally bougie and the meat was good. Steer clear if you aren't a fan of Bleu cheeses as the cheese has a similar taste. It's good though. Overall a very nice spot.

Yelp
Wonderfully delicious! A beautifully decorated urban cafe with artisan creations for every taste. Lunch prices are reasonable compared to the dinner menu. The staff is very helpful in making recommendations and know the menu well. Entrees are fresh and homemade. Pet friendly. @sturdygirlstyle #sturdygirlstyle

Yelp
They have a huge parking lot available but it did get full towards dinner time. This restaurant lived up to its name with their beautiful interior designs as well as their outdoor patio seating area. The outdoor and indoor area is opened by a huge sliding glass door so even if you sit outside, you won't feel separated from the rest of the restaurant. They had a lot of large tables available as well as standing tables in the back area so it would be perfect for a group or get together location. Their happy hour menu was really good with good portions. Their wings and fries were amazingly crispy but not too oily, and the hummus with pita bread came with a lot of olives. Now the sauce that came under the wings was amazing. I just want a tub of it. It is labneh ranch and we ended up dipping the fries in it as well. I would definitely come back just for their happy hour menu. Their drinks were perfect for those who like sweet cocktails. Although the happy hour drinks were limited to a couple of options but both the blood orange and chai mule were tasty. The butterfly effect was not part of the happy hour but definitely a recommended drink. Although it was sweet and you couldn't taste the alcohol, you will be able to feel it afterwards. The main menu items were a bit on the pricy side but they do come in big portions and had no major complaints on any of their dishes. The grilled hanger does come precut but it was so soft it didn't need a steak knife. The only downside on the hanger steak was the mashed potatoes. They tasted like it came from a box; powdery texture and not smooth. The flavor was fine but didn't seem to be fresh. The service was quick and our server was friendly. They have a pretty large team of staff working the floors. It is a pretty relaxed restaurant good for friends and family gathering.

Yelp
Made fancy dinner date plans with my cousin and his partner. They recommended BoujieMana because they knew we are foodies, and they know the owner. BoujieMana is tucked away in a quiet area. You wouldn't know it was there if you weren't looking for it. The parking lot is spacious, and no crazy drivers speeding through. We were told that the owner of BoujieMana owns the entire building and runs a business out of it. He decided to open a restaurant and carved a space in the building for it which explains why there aren't a lot of vehicles coming and going. The outdoor patio seating was beautiful, complete with a water feature. The interior of the restaurant was open and airy. Plenty of floor-to-ceiling windows/doors that can be opened up for fresh air. The ceiling over the dining area is raised so the intimate space still feels spacious. I love the thoughtful design choices of the restaurant. The chairs swivel, so it's easier to get into them without the awkward chair noises that come with pulling and scooting. There are even hooks they bring you to hang purses and bags from your chair instead of setting them on the floor or stuffing them behind you. The table settings include hand wipes. You'd think they are disposable pre-moistened towelettes, but they are actual towels scented with essential oils to freshen your hands. My cousins highly recommended the roasted duck, so when we checked in for the reservation, the kitchen began preparing it since it takes extra time to prepare. We also ordered the hanger steak, grilled whole snapper, 2 orders of the roasted octopus, and hummus (not pictured). Every single thing we ordered was delicious. Would definitely order it all again. The duck was flavorful. We probably needed 2. The octopus was so soft and tender, not rubbery. The snapper was great. Hanger steak was flavorful and juicy. For dessert, we ordered donuts (comes with 4, but we asked for a 5th one since we have 5 in our party. The donuts had cinnamon and a spicy kick that comes at the end. I highly recommend dipping the donut holes in the sauce that comes with it. My cousins highly recommended and his partner also ordered some cocktails: the espresso martini and the sazerquack. Their presentation was beautiful, and my cousins said their drinks were smooth. The staff at BoujieMana were excellent. Everyone was knowledgeable and kind. They can make recommendations on menu items and are very accommodating. We sat near the entrance facing the large windows just as the sun was setting. They closed the shades and set up umbrellas to save us from being blinded during the entire meal. The restroom is located in the back. You walk past the bar and look for the stone wall with lights. The other side is the counter of sinks which face the 4 all-gender toilet stalls (1 handicap accessible with sink inside). All toilets are equipped with bidets. Tip: the toilets don't auto-flush, so you will have to close the toilet lid to access the flusher) and then reopen the lid if you want to leave it ready for the next user (or not). As a handicapped person, I am lucky to be ambulatory and have balance and hand function to open and close toilet lids. The handicap accessible stall has plenty of room for a wheelchair or mobility aid, and plenty of room to transfer onto the toilet. The entrance has handicapped parking spaces near it, and no steps to the entrance. Not even an awkwardly high threshold to cross. We definitely enjoyed our meal and dining experience at BoujieMana and ranted and raved about it to our other friends. We're definitely including this place for special occasions and celebrations, or if we just want some great roasted duck.

Yelp
Have you tried this place yet? If not, you owe it to yourself! "Comfort Mediterranean" with a side of classy. The employees are really great and reflects the management employee first style. Everyone seems to really enjoy working here and you can taste it in the food.

Yelp
The details matter. Starting with a scented cloth to clean your hands, dental floss in the restroom and heated toilet seats. I met a friend for HH and we sat at the bar. The bartenders were friendly and attentive, answering any menu questions. Deviled eggs were pretty good - nice smoky flavor. Pita and hummus- homemade pita, warm and fluffy It's tucked in a cul de sac at the end of Aero Dr, plenty of parking. I'll definitely come back.

Yelp
I feel I need to come back to give it another chance, but not going to be any time soon. We came in for Easter brunch and it didn't live up to the expectations. I've heard nothing but great things about this spot but maybe it was just an off day? When we were about to order the waitress told us some things were no longer available? huh? ok. luckily what we wanted for appetizers were. We really liked the deviled eggs, and I liked the wings and we loved the dessert donuts and their gelato. But sadly that was about it. Main dishes didn't hit like we hoped. Pizza came out very very burnt, duck benedict (i believe that's what is was called) apparently was over cooked. and the potatoes that came with the eggs were not very tasty. Everyone at the table tried them. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. She again told us that some desserts may be not available? I really wish we were told that ahead of our brunch. Like I said, maybe an off day? But, unfortunately too many issues to maybe try again.

Yelp
Me and the hubs stumbled upon this place while searching for restaurants in Kearny Mesa for our weekly date night. It's quietly hidden behind a still developing apartment complex. The menu is Lebanese influenced. It is not bar food, we just happened to arrive in time for happy hour. Happy hour prices reflected below. We had: wings, hummus, margherita pizza, and the boujie burger. The wings were the best I've ever had, a really sophisticated complex flavor. 7 wings for $9! What? Wait? What? These were legit wings too. The hummus was also one of, if not the best hummus' (hummi?) I've ever had. There was a smoky creamy richness that went well with the olives and pickles. The pita was really good -thick, moist and cooked to perfection, I think it was $6? Another deal! The pizza was also really good $12. We were so full, we took the burger (not a happy hour option) to go along with the fries. We had a few fries while they were hot and to no surprise at this point, they were also cooked to perfection. Total bill was $67 before tip. Now let's talk about this space and service: The space is industrial/warm and the bar area has two screens with sports on, the restaurant is deep enough that the tv's didn't distract from the dining experience. There's lots of windows with good tinting and window shades. The tables, comfy chairs, and spacing are perfect. They could probably double the number of tables, but keeping a good distance allowed for a more personal experience. I imagine with the high ceilings that too many tables would make this place noisy. The giant cork wall helps to dampen the neglibe echo. There is a huge outdoor space as well as two private rooms. The bathrooms are next level (bidets, fr fr). The whole place has a modern industrial ambiance, but classy. It had a bit of those Alexandria office space vibes. 2.The service was also just right. We were seated quickly and our server, Jesus, took time to explain a bit about the menu. He made sure that our food was staggered and that we were able to pace our meal without feeling rushed. The staff was busy and stayed on top of things. We weren't drinking and the staff made sure we had plenty of water. Would I go there again? You betcha. They also donate 3% to local non profits!

Yelp
My friends and I hosted an early Easter brunch and we couldn't have picked a better restaurant! Honestly, this was one of the few times where EVERYONE loved their food! I opted for something light and absolutely loved the hummus and freshly made pita bread. It was truly THE BEST pita bread! It was made fresh and was piping hot when delivered to the table. When I tire off a piece, the top and bottom separated and there was a large air pocket. The bread was so delicate and was incredibly delicious! I loved the hummus too! I had one of the chicken wings and enjoyed its flavor and crunch! The other dishes that my friends ordered looked amazing and I look forward to coming back to try other menu items. One of my friends order the shashuka and loved it so much that she polished off the pan! If you're looking for a healthy drink, I highly recommend the Green Garden fresh pressed juice. It was very refreshing! The restaurant was beautiful, excellent service, and incredibly delicious food! Also, there is a large private parking lot. This is the perfect venue for large parties and special occasions.

Yelp
I finally came here for dinner. It was to celebrate my bday. Service was great . Although it's a limited menu the food we ordered didn't disappoint. I tried 3 new dishes this time . First is the summer melon and burrata salad. It was refreshing and had such great flavors. The saltiness of the prosciutto complimented the sweetness of honeydew and cantaloupe. And any time there's burrata, for me it just adds extra yumminess. I really enjoyed this salad!! 2 pastas I tried were the bucatini alla cacio e Pepe with shrimp and the paccheri alla vodka diavolo. Although both were good my favorite was the paccheri alla vodka diavolo. The flavorful sauce mixed with bits of pork was amazing. The cocktail I ordered was Peach, Please and it was pretty and delicious. We were stuffed so didn't try any desserts. But our server comp'd me a bowl of chocolate gelato with a candle on it. I did appreciate the gesture but compared to other restaurants and how pricey the food is here, I would have thought that they would offer a more substantial dessert. But hey free is free and gelato is still good. This is such a pretty restaurant and I would come back again and again.

Yelp
Be sure to make a reservation prior to going. The staff seemed displeased when we went without a reservation (if their facial expression change and chatter didn't give it away). The speed of service seemed to also match as tables that came after were waited on relatively faster. This place on a side street off of Aero Drive. The pin on Yelp's map is accurate. They have their own parking lot. The interior decor is pretty and it really gives off a mid fancy dining atmosphere. They even provide individually packaged hand towels to wipe clean with. Boujie cheeseburger lives up to the name. The fries that came with the burger were a tad over salted. The Spicy Fried Chicken Sandwich actually had a good kick but tasted almost healthy. The side salad seemed like it had bits of onion that had been tossed in salt which was unique. Beet-Dill Juice was refreshing and Cooper Colada was okay.

Yelp
Nice restaurant, good location and easy parking. Was with a group of friends having brunch. I ordered the smoked salmon and pita. It was delicious and I was happy that it was decent quality lox. It was served with half of a smoked deviled egg. That was a nice addition to the plate. The restaurant was not busy at all. Our server was pleasant while at our table, but at times we had empty coffee cups and the servers were huddled together talking to each other. We shouldn't have had to wave them down for coffee refills. We had pepperoni pizza (crust seemed too dark on top, but it was tasty), harissa Benedict, caramelized French toast and breakfast sandwich. Everyone seemed happy with their food.

Yelp
This place is nested between residential luxury apartments and business area with plenty of parking. We had a party of 10 and reserved the private room for brunch. They allowed split checks up to 3 credit cards. The interior was modern, sleek, industrial bronzed color. The restroom is designed to be unisex with shared sinks. The individual stalls had Toto heated bidets! I got the roasted octopus ($21) and crispy jidori wings ($16). The octopus was grilled to perfection. Not chewy or rubbery. The pistachio salsa verde sauce was unique with a crunch. The butter beans were made into a hummus purée sauce. The plate of dry rub wings came with 7 pieces over lebneh ranch. I got the butterfly effect ($16) as my cocktail which had pea flower infused elderberry, lemon juice, mint and Prosecco. It was absolutely a beautiful tasty drink. The service was wonderful. They took your plate to the back to pack your left overs for you.

Yelp
Visited BoujieMana for the first time on a whim and will absolutely be coming back. From start to finish everything was incredible--quick service, thoughtful and fun wait staff, and delicious food (the roasted octopus, hummus with fresh pita, and cocktails like the Carajillo and Sazerquack were all standouts). So thrilled to have found a local spot to share with friends and family

Yelp
This is one of those places you always look forward to the meal. Because you know it's going to be fabulous and service is always spot on. This visit I ordered the hanger steak and daughter ordered the pepperoni pizza. We sampled each other's dish. And I'm glad we did because I really liked her pizza and she really liked my steak. They offer inside or outside seating. We sat inside. Until we meet again.

Yelp
It was good, but not outstanding. It was a 3 to 4 star rating. We ordered blood orange margaritas which were lacking in flavor and was a bit watered down. For appetizers, we had the hummus with pita and delicata squash fritto which were both recommended by our server. The hummus and pita were excellent. The dip was creamy and the pita bread was pillowy soft. Unfortunately, the squash was bad. These were like onion rings, but with squash. They were greasy. It was equivalent to drinking oil. For my entree, I had the anson mills polenta which was a vegetarian dish with mushrooms, greens, and a poached egg. This was delicious comfort food. We didn't have dessert because our server didn't offer it to us. We were already full so we didn't bother asking. Our server was pleasant and friendly. We didn't wait long for food and the restaurant was very busy on a Friday night. We were able to get a reservation for two an hour before we arrived. The restaurant is modern and spacious with lots of parking. Despite a less than stellar rating, I would come back to try a few more items on their menu.

Yelp
Very large parking lot. Recommend reservations because they seem to look down on those without them. The hostess made a comment about us 'just' being walk-ins to our waiter. You may also want to dress up as well as it is a fancier restaurant. They have inside and some outside seating. Lots of dogs both inside and out so they seem to be pet friendly. After being seated it took quite a bit for our server to arrive. Luckily the other staff were able to get us situated with waters. Another couple who sat next to us after our order was taken had a waiter taking their order within minutes of being seated. We saw this was the case for multiple other parties seated after us as well. Maybe reservations equals better service? Ordered: Beet dill juice cocktail $16 - this was okay Cooper's colada $16 - had a unique flavor, strong. Cheeseburger $25 - the fries were overcooked and over salted. Burger was okay on flavor but not really worth the price. Spicy chicken $19 - the salad was very salty. The toasted sesame on the burger was very messy and stuck to your fingers when holding. Chicken had a nice heat. This was probably the better of the items.

Yelp
This fine dining restaurant with table service is a hidden gem at the end of a street. The interior is spacious, high ceilings, with warm tones and comfortable seating. The wait staff was friendly. The restaurant is well decorated and has a refined, full bar. We tried their Saturday happy hour from 10-5 pm. They have pizzas, appetizers, and nice selection of HH drinks. The burger was hearty and satisfying. Their salads were tossed perfectly and very fresh.

Yelp
This place is a real hidden gem! Really beautiful aesthetic and absolutely phenomenal food as well ! Service was also really nice and the server kept checking on us . We went for dinner on a Wednesday evening and it was actually really full so that's a very good sign for sure. Husband got Oaxacan Spritz cocktail and here said it was really nice. Market Lettuce Salad (with roasted delicata squash, pickled blueberries, field greens, mint, hazelnut dukkh) I ordered the salad with grilled chicken and it was absolutely delicious. The roasted delicata squash and the pickled blueberries went so well together. The mint was a nice special touch as well. It comes with some of vinaigrette but I didn't use of it cuz I just didn't feel the need. And also wanted to save on some calories. The only the only thing I would change is having grilled chicken breast instead of chicken thigh. They give chicken thigh on this and it felt like it was quite fatty and greasy and just added unnecessary calories. Probably something to request specifically. Delicata Squash Fritto (with mint, dill, pecorino sardo, hot honey, black pepper) This is battered and fried delicata squash. Everyone on the table really enjoyed this one. I tried a little bit and the crunchiness and sweetness and savoriness together was quite nice. I was hoping the hot honey flavor would come out a little more but this was nice either way. Ezzo Pepperoni Pizza (tomato, garlic, chili, cilantro, chive, mozzarella, sesame seed crust) I can totally see why this was such a hyped item. Everyone on the table was really excited about this one, especially because of that sesame seed crust. Quite a good creative Pizza here. Crust was nice and fresh and soft and overall the pizza was really nice. Everyone enjoyed. Herb Roasted Jidori Chicken (with toasted levain, frisée, mustard jus) Honestly, the chicken here itself was phenomenal! Such lovely soft meat and the seasoning was also really nice. It didn't seem to oily or greasy either which was a good sign. I think the oil was mostly involved in the mustard jus. What we really didn't like about this was the frisée on the bottom. The greens were relatively bitter and a little hard and just didn't go well with the chicken. Maybe just some plain mixed greens would have been better. We ended up leaving ksot of those frisée greens as is. Anson Mills Polenta (with wild mushrooms, manchego, soft egg, braised escarole) It really looks creamy and presentation on this was top notch. I didn't try any but the table said it was really lovely. Everything was finished so that's a good sign. Cinnamon Crunch Donuts - WOW!! We were actually quite hesitant to order donuts at a restaurant for dessert, but oh man this was beautiful! Such soft and fluffy Donuts and the best part is they were actually warm! So just pictures soft and doughy and pillowy and WARM Donuts with a cinnamon sugar coating and slightly sweet vanilla sauce to go on the side. 10 on 10 recommend!

Yelp
We came here for Happy Hour and the food was delicious. I really like the wood fired pizzas, especially the spicy pepperoni. The chicken wings and deviled eggs were also hits. The blood mary margarita was also good. We will have you come back with a larger group and order more food off the regular menu. Service was also great. We were checked on often. We sat outside and we were a bit chilly after the sun went down. They didn't have enough heaters.

Yelp
What a hidden gem me and my friend found. We wanted salad and ate much more! Our server was Jesus and he was so kind, patient and helpful. We ordered the watermelon and Cesar salad, the fennel pizza, and lemon ricotta. For drinks we did the espresso martini and butterfly effect. Everything was so wonderful and delicious. This place is located by residential and attached to business building so it's a little hidden however the decor is beautiful and boujie! Definitely will be back. Thank you Jesus for a wonderful experience

Yelp
Food was great! Was hoping for more middle eastern food influences but didn't see a lot. The steak with chimichurri didn't have a ton of flavor, but the mashed potatoes and onion rings were delicious. Pita was great along with the creamy hummus. Also really enjoyed the sesame crust pizza. Like that all everything are made in house.

Yelp
Tried this new restaurant out and holy moly amazing. For an appetizer I had the hummus and pita, the pita was perfectly warm and soft. My entree was grilled hanger steak with mash potatoes and onion rings. The steak was delicioso. I hate onion rings but let me tell you I tried these to give them a chance and I'm a believer. It was the perfect crunch and it was savory. Also ordered some black tea and it came with the works as you can tell from the picture. It was so good and paired well with my meal. To close it off with dessert, I went with boujie donuts. That chipotle is so subtle but as you keep eating the donut with some drizzled crème anglaise it is so delectable. There is plenty of parking and inside it is very spacious. The seats are so comfortable and they spin too. Restrooms are unisex so don't be alarmed. The service was top notch and the staff were astounding. Make a reservation and go try them out, highly recommend!

Yelp
This is my absolute favorite place. It's hidden, low key, and high quality food as well as high quality service. Boujiemana will not disappoint!! It's a twist on Mediterranean food with an upscale vibe.

Yelp
Went for brunch and my wife and I split the Shakshuka and burger - delicious! We also requested a side of the house made hummus - so creamy, lemony & addictive! Definitely excited to go back and try the dinner menu - the ambience is lovely, and the STAFF was AWESOME. Seriously. I'm a 20-year service industry pro, and they are doing it right!

Yelp
Went during brunch on a Sunday and it was super good! We ordered a bunch of appetizers so I was pretty full by the time my entree came. Recommend ordering ANYTHING with pita, the pita was probably the simplest thing on the menu but it was my favorite. The appetizer wings were so good and crispy. The only appetizer I didn't like was the chicken liver mousse, this is a personal preference though I don't like chicken liver in general so don't let this influence you if you want to give it a go. I ordered the Shakshuka and it was super yummy. I personally wished it was a little more salty and that the seasonings were more prominent, but overall still super delicious. I got their tea service, served in a very nice tea pot with a small fire under your tea pot so it stays hot during your entire meal! Parking is super easy and it actually wasn't too crowded on a Saturday during brunch. The restaurant is extremely clean and the bathrooms are very nice. The area is a little different since it's on the edge of the business district of Kearny Mesa, but would rather have plenty of parking in an area like this versus in a crowded area like North Park, for example.

Yelp
BoujieMana has a big parking lot with lots of free parking.  This is a cool bonus as it's near Convoy St.  I took a look at the lunch menu and the appetizers is what interested me. Pita bread was made to order and I loved the soft and fluffy texture.  That fresh out of the oven flavor was amazing.  BoujieMana's pita bread is among the best I've ever had.  I ordered it plain and it was only $2. Crispy jidori chicken wings had crispy skin with tender and juicy skin.  I enjoyed the lemon and herb flavors. 2nd visit I ordered the roast duck.  It is cold roasted with cherry wood.  Chef Dante presented it before he took it back to the kitchen to cut it up.  Amazing smoky aroma stayed with us.   Skin was crispy.  Meat was tender and had a delicious smoky flavor.  This is one of my favorite duck preparations.  I was also impressed by the sharp knife given to cut the duck.  I like using Wustof knives to cut my meat and the knife here was comparable.. Vanilla gelato was sourced from Milkissimo Gelato.  It was served in a chilled bowl which I appreciated as I hate melted gelato.  At home I keep my ice cream bowl in the freezer.  Texture was rich and creamy.  I loved the vanilla flavor. Our server Thomas was very knowledgeable about the food here plus he was friendly and attentive.  The attention to detail here was excellent from the sharp knife to the chilled ice cream bowl.  I'll have to visit for dinner again as there are alot more choices than at lunch.

Yelp
I always go during happy hour because their prices are great and their food is excellent. The Hummus with homemade pita is top notch. Pita comes out super hot. It's soft and tender. The Hummus is flavorful and smooth. It also comes with olives and pickles which is a nice touch of acidity. A good balance on one plate. My favorite are the smoked deviled eggs. It's a well thought out mash of flavors that works. The smokey bacon, the pickled jalepeno works together with a little punch of zesty vinegar from the pickledness. Its complex but works well. Trust me. Get it. Service is great. Very attentive but they don't hover. It's a classy, modern, moody place that looks upscale but has a casual vibe. The toilets have the fancy Japanese toilet seats with heat, bidet and booty dryer. My go to place to meet my friends for our Whine & Wine gatherings! Come check it out! You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
If anything, come here to get a drink and use the toilet. The toilet has a seat warmer, air dryer, and bidet nozzle you can move up and down. The doors have no cracks either. Literally the best bathroom I've been in. Food is good and service is even better. For the quality of food, the prices are very good. The jidori chicken was amazing. The pizza was good, not that special when compared to other pizza places. Service is on another level. You would think it's fine dining with the level of care they put in

Yelp
Place seemed kind of hidden off of Aero. They had seating inside and out. Place looked nice. Service was good. Food came out quick. Timing was good with the appetizers then the entree. Got the chicken wings, deviled eggs, and the BoujieMana cheeseburger. Liked the deviled eggs. You can really taste the smoked flavor. The wings were interesting. I wish that they had a little more flavor. The cheeseburger hit the spot. Liked the garlic aioli on the side. Tasted good with the fries. The citrus sunrise was refreshing.

Yelp
Beautiful place, plenty of parking, wonderful staff. The mushroom pizza lacked kick, the wings were fantastic and the hummus and pita were so very fresh. This place needs a visit.

Yelp
I tried out Happy Hour with a friend. I had the house white (their Chardonnay) and my friend had a cocktail. We shared the pepperoni pizza, pita/hummus, and chicken wings. It was more than enough food. Service was great. It's modern and classy inside. My only critique is that the pepperoni on the pizza was very salty. I would order the pizza again if it didn't have pepperoni. The crust was very good. I want to come back for brunch or dinner with my boyfriend.

Yelp
My Son and I came here for brunch, great service and food. Love the ambience. We chose to sit outside.

Yelp
Unusual menu and hidden location in a business park. Beautiful modern interior. Service was uneven though with wait staff having to check w kitchen if duck to go orders "were allowed" and waiter somehow always popped up at awkward times and interrupted conversation. Snapper had a delightful woodsy grilled taste and was perfectly deboned. Parking is easy and plentiful in free lot. Access suitable for wheelchairs and gluten free options available. We enjoyed our meal but because the menu wasn't to my taste, we likely won't be back. I do wish they had a gf ribeye option.

Yelp
The customer service here was pretty good. I loved that the server made no excuses about the food taking a while because he forgot to submit the main entrees but we didn't mind as we had a good time with the wine and appetizers. The burger was pretty good. The fries and the garlic aioli was perfect. The pizza was very good and the crust perfect. The tabouleh was good but I think if it was served with crackers or toasted bread would have been better. The ambience is great and nice location.

Yelp
We came here for lunch because we received a gift card and it was amazing! It was beautiful and had great service! We loved the octopus apparently they had just changed the ingredients for the season and it was a hit! Also split the pita and a side of fries. Will definitely return for dinner service in the future!
