Had a friend visit, and he mentioned how he used to eat at a place called Houston's, but it was now Boulevard's. I asked how good it was (I never been), and he had only eaten at Houston's, but not at Boulevard's. I got tired of him talking about the Hawaiian Ribeye and said, "Why not, let's try it out".
It was an unforgettable dining experience, truly.
I've been going ever since, often. The food is a little pricey, however it is well worth it! Their entire menu is amazing, from appetizers, sandwiches and entrees. My favorite starter is the Barbeque Gulf Shrimp and my favorite entree is the Hawaiian Ribeye. The desserts are great as well!
What I love about this place is something I believe is missing from dining out, and that is the divide between food price and quality from Fast Food joints and restaurants. A meal at McDonald's is easily +$10, and you go to Applebee's and the price and quality doesn't change much. This restaurant easily sets itself apart from fast food, and a lot of other dine-in restaurants. If I didn't go here, I'd go to my other favorite, Zea's.
I just left today, had my Gulf Shrimp and Hawaiian Ribeye while chatting with some friends. Tomorrow, I'll be taking my mom, who has never been, to celebrate her birthday last month and successful battle with breast cancer.
You can come eat here, and you won't regret it. But more importantly, it will feel like a genuine restaurant experience; a small special moment where it's just you, friends, family, and great food with great service.
