Good food and prices. My Significant other’s grilled cheese did take 20 minutes to come out when my chipotle chicken sandwich only took 10 minutes. I will be back cause of the prices but I hope the service doesn’t lose anymore sandwich orders. I was completely down before she even got a grilled cheese.

Really good coffee! Baristas were super friendly, the food menu was extensive (though I didn’t get any food), and it seems like they do a lot of work to help with sustainability and Rwanda’s community. I’ll definitely come back! Only complaint is that there’s not much seating, but that’s a DC thing and there’s not much they can do about it. I went with a friend and it was a little cramped with people doing work, so we felt bad chatting too loudly.

I couldn't believe I had a terrible experience here. I went 3 times before and it was great. Today I ordered a cappuccino, After 12 minutes it was not made. I asked Nick the manager, why it is taking so long. He said he had 9 orders, mine took longer, so did not make mine yet. He made the customers' drinks after me first, and mine last. Then I asked if he started mine yet and he said no. Such poor management and service. I then asked for a refund. I asked for the owner's name so I could report the bad service and he refused to provide it. The other person working there said I will have to call back later to complain. I think the problem is that Nick is just not very fast yet at making coffee. He should have served the first customer first. I hope he learns how to make coffee faster, prioritize and be nicer to customers.

The staff here is friendly and will learn an order after 1-2 visits. Food takes a bit of time to prepare but there is always a parfait to grab in the morning if you are running late. Great coffee, stick to their dark roast.

Some of the best coffee in NW DC (and excellent decaf!), wonderful breakfast sandwiches (panini or croissant), GOOD oatmeal, and excellent lunchtime sandwiches, too. They also always seem to have good music going (Jason Isbell, the last time I was there). Not a ton of seating, but it's a nice, chill place to be for a while.

One of my favorite coffee shops in DC. Always great coffee and service. The beans are direct trade from Rwanda... Maybe they're Fairtrade too? Top tip: buy a bag of roasted coffee for $12.95 and get a cup of coffee for free! Keeps me happy at home and on the go!

I appreciate privately held shops. The decor is cute and certainly love "their story" on why they source their beans from select locations. The drinks are a bit hit or miss depending on who makes them.

Staff was nice, my bagel was stale. I had it toasted but this was terrible. If you've ever had a day old bagel put in an oven you know what I mean. Six dollars. They could do really well but they're clearly struggling. Bacon egg and cheese was good but I go back to the stale bagel. It's just impossible to eat, and that ruins your morning. Sorry for the hangry review but it's true.
