"I had some Bourke Street Bakery challah, which is so heavenly fresh that even at two weeks old, it was fine for French toast. The challah is $12 or something, so it’s a splurge."

When I lived in Sydney, there was a Bourke Street Bakery downstairs from my office and I would go there all the time to get their sausage rolls. Those are still great, but recently I've gotten really into their turmeric black pepper sourdough + the ham and cheese baguette sandwich. The croissants here are solid - wouldn't go out of my way for one, but they do the trick in a pinch and probably best I've had in the area (I like them 'bien cuit' but these are a little too well done IMO). Also like the cookies, especially their fancy Anzac biscuit.

This was my 2nd time visiting. First time had their great coffee and the ham & arugula baguette. The roast was top notch. So today I stopped in to try their almond croissant. It looked impressive: plump and flaky. I was optimistic and looked forward that first bite and eventually the almond paste in the center. Can I just say VERY disappointed. Although flaky, it was tasteless!! And, was that staleness? I'm thinking quality control on a daily basis, especially when considering the little bakery's proximity to the train's entrance.

Ordered their cacio pepe pastry which was flavorful and good. The ricotta blueberry muffin was very soft and there were a lot of blueberries. Their other pastries looked appetizing. The shakshuka pastry was flavorful and good. The couscous salad was decent too.

I visit this bakery every day for my coffee, and it’s always a great experience. The staff are incredibly friendly, making every visit feel welcoming. The service is consistently efficient, so I never have to wait long.

I rarely leave reviews but I have to say I was impressed. I had a train to catch in 12 minutes but I desperately needed coffee so I took my chances — even though there were 7 people ahead of me. The staff were extremely efficient and I was out of there in 3 min tops! Friendly service as well.

I tried their ricotta cheese danish with blackberries ($7.08 including tax) in the Grand Central Station bakery location. I found that the ricotta cheese had little taste, the pastry enclosing it had even less taste. It looked good, but the taste was not equal to its appearance.

What type of garbage is this. Let's start with the service. I asked for a croissant with butter and jelly toasted. They waited for me to pay then just put a croissant in a bag and handed it to me. I replied where is the butter and jelly, when did you toast it? His response was oh I thought you wanted it butter baked in. Are you serious. The owners tell the employees to say this because they don't want to serve butter and jelly nor toast their products. Who in NYC wants a cold dry piece of bread. I will never go here. Only good thing about this place is getting my refund back.

Crunchy and delicious croissant! One of the best I’ve tried so far in NYC. 🥐

This bakery in the station sell French-style viennoiserie pastries. Their croissants are nice and flaky. They are also enormous.
