The fine dining restaurant of the chic boutique hotel (also called GLACIER) makes the most of its surroundings with a floor-to-ceiling window front – and a wonderful terrace for a magical view! The cuisine is ambitious, modern, creative and seasonal. In the evening, a set menu is available in three formats: "Découverte" with three courses, "Promenade" with five courses and "Excursion" with seven courses (the last two courses are surprise dishes). There are vegetarian versions of all three. Great emphasis is placed on selecting high-quality ingredients, with a preference for supplies from local producers. "If ever there was a hotel that efficiently adapted to time and circumstance, it's the Hotel Glacier in Grindelwald. The original hotel opened near the foot of an alpine glacier in 1864, back in the days when huge blocks of ice were harvested and transported by horse and carriage to Interlaken.
