The menu includes inventive and vegetarian-friendly plates such as grilled leeks with smoked kombu beurre blanc and egg yolk prepared in a watercress and leek emulsion, supported by a deep wine list (around 600 Swiss and French labels, 160 available by the glass). Wellness features include a log-lined sauna, heated outdoor whirlpool, steam room, and a relaxation area with warm waterbeds, all ideal after local activities like the First Flieger zipline and Velogemel snow bikes." - Adam H. GLACIER

"What a great location right in front of the Eiger North Face! The fine dining restaurant of the chic boutique hotel (also called GLACIER) makes the most of its surroundings with a floor-to-ceiling window front – and a wonderful terrace for a magical view! The cuisine is ambitious, modern, creative and seasonal. In the evening, a set menu is available in three formats: "Découverte" with three courses, "Promenade" with five courses and "Excursion" with seven courses (the last two courses are surprise dishes). There are vegetarian versions of all three. Great emphasis is placed on selecting high-quality ingredients, with a preference for supplies from local producers. The 320-year-old wine cellar is home to around 500 labels, 160 of which are also available by the glass. An enthusiastic sommelier provides astute recommendations." - Michelin Inspector

Boutique Hotel Glacier (Grindelwald, Canton of Bern) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"If ever there was a hotel that efficiently adapted to time and circumstance, it's the Hotel Glacier in Grindelwald. The original hotel opened near the foot of an alpine glacier in 1864, back in the days when huge blocks of ice were harvested and transported by horse and carriage to Interlaken. Over the past century, the glacier has retreated dramatically — only its uppermost portion remains, and it’s a good distance away in the mountaintops — and the hotel has evolved accordingly, with a modified layout that makes the most of the setting while staying true to the property's history." - Tablet Hotels

We have enjoyed our stay here for 3 nights with a beautiful view and experience through its location and decoration. Also, we've tried the restaurant for a dinner once and it was fantastic, however, one drawback is the limited choices in breakfast menu that needs to be taken care of. Otherwise, you will love the stay and vibes here. Highly recommended and will visit it again.

The view of Eiger mountain from our balcony was stunning! Modern room but keep boutique style hotel. In my opinion, it’s better to book through the Hotel official website. Just one small thing, the deposit amount was very high hope to reconsider about it. Many thanks to all staff they were incredibly welcoming, friendly and helpful. Definitely we will come back one day!

Had an absolute exceptional visit at my favourite place to stay while in Switzerland, specifically Grindelwald! Of course the rooms, location, restaurant, and amenities are amazing, however to me the best part is the staff. From the moment I arrived to when I left, each team member treated both myself and my girlfriend with kindness. By the second day it was as if we were all just friends. They knew a great amount of information on the surrounding areas and even gave us great recommendations.

Beautiful property with excellent views, the staff were extremely nice and helpful. We ate at the fine dining restaurant and it was one of the best meals I have ever had. The restaurant staff were so kind and welcoming. We will definitely be coming back in the future.

We stayed in their 1 bedroom apartment which is managed similar to ABNB. Views were incredible but instructions/descriptions were poor and did not mention that, "you have to walk a 1/4 mile steep uphill to the base of the house followed by climbing 3 stories to the apartment (no elevators)". Do not rent this place if you have any physical limitations. Also plan on cleaning the place and taking out all the garbage/recycling otherwise you will be fined heavily.

We had an excellent stay at Glacier Boutique Hotel. We absolutely loved our private hot tub looking out at Eiger North Face. The room was very big too. Breakfast was great! We did not use the spa but it also looks wonderful. Don’t miss the Glacier Fine Dining with wine pairings. We used the house transfer service to town or Grindelwald Terminal several times and it was a small price, very worthwhile. The laundry was included and we didn’t even know it was offered- definitely take advantage of that. Overall I highly suggest this hotel.

Everything about this hotel is perfect. It is outside the main area of town, which provides an incredible view of the Eiger mountain. The photos from our balcony look fake because it's all so perfect. Excellent staff at the reception and restaurant. If you are coming from the train station, it is a steep walk downhill (especially with luggage). Take the city bus to the hotel (bus 123 I think), as it stops directly in front of the property. I can't wait to come back!

This has been the most beautiful hotel I have ever been in Grindelwald - what a cute small gem! The rooms have amazing views over the mountains and the modern chalet style makes everything look cozy and pleasant. The staff is really helpful and friendly, a big thanks to Shawn for his hiking tips, we had a fabulous time here. See you next summer again - à bientôt!
