Came here to celebrate a graduation, and overall, it was a decent dining experience--but nothing to write home about. As many others have noted, the appeal of this place leans heavily on aesthetics. It's stylish, modern, and definitely built with Instagram in mind. But when it comes to the food? Meh.
I ordered the chilaquiles plate with an extra egg and added the spicy fried chicken. Thank God I did--because without those add-ons, that plate would've left me hungry. Once I got past the egg and chicken, it was just a pile of dry fried tortilla chips. No depth, no real flavor layers. There was a black bean sauce smeared at the bottom, but it wasn't enough to bring the dish together. No actual beans, no crema, no richness--just... crunchy and dry.
Let's talk price: $3 for an extra egg and $6 for the chicken brought the plate to a ridiculous $25. For tortilla chips and an egg? That's straight-up daylight robbery. If you're thinking about getting the waffles or pancakes--don't. Flour and eggs are dirt cheap, and they're clearly making a killing off markup here.
I also tried two cocktails: a margarita on the rocks (not a fan) and their special "Berry Me Softly," which was slightly better. But both were loaded with ice and light on actual drink. Water was self-serve from bottled pitchers at the table, which was a nice touch--simple, but appreciated.
The space itself has that "modern wellness brunch spot" vibe--bright, clean, a little pretentious, but aesthetically pleasing. Unfortunately, the restroom situation was a mess. Only one stall, which is always a bottleneck, and the floor had a puddle from a leaky sink.
They did bring out some mini donuts with candles at the end for the graduation celebration, but it fell flat. It didn't feel celebratory--just felt like they were trying to check a box. It actually dimmed the mood a bit.
Also worth noting: they charge automatic gratuity for large parties. Just a heads-up.
Final verdict? We got some decent photos, but they definitely made more money off us than we got value. Wouldn't return--but hey, at least it looked good on camera.
