The 17 Best Breakfast Burritos In Los Angeles

"If you don't buy into the miracle of Langer’s pastrami in a breakfast burrito, try Boxx Coffee Roaster’s signature dish and you’ll become a believer. Their version tweaks the standard model with an ideal ratio of avocado puree to arugula to fluffy scrambled eggs—all cohabitating inside a flour tortilla from Sonoratown. The thinly sliced pastrami adds a smokiness that cuts against a sweet fig glaze and spicy banana-chili hot sauce. Get this and an iced espresso on the front patio at this Arts District coffee shop if you don’t plan on taking a nap immediately after breakfast." - nikko duren, garrett snyder

Boxx Coffee Roasters - Review - Arts District - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"This aesthetically pleasing coffee shop in the Arts District has lots of space to get work done and/or ponder life's existential questions. The coffee here is roasted in-house and is available in many forms, including super-potent Turkish coffee served in a tiny cup." - Nikko Duren

The 19 Best Breakfast Burritos in Los Angeles - Eater LA

"Boxx’s breakfast burrito is easily the biggest surprise in LA right now, given that it relies — rather than bacon, sausage, or chorizo — on Langer’s pastrami for its primary meat. Furthermore, the whole thing is wrapped up in a Sonoratown tortilla, making it one of the most uniquely LA options to be found." - Farley Elliott

A Coffee Subscription for Everyone | Eater

"An LA-based subscription service founded by Tony Konecny that shipped roasted coffee to subscribers and included a newsletter between 2011 and 2014; it was acquired by Blue Bottle in 2014, and its founder later went on to start a new direct-to-consumer coffee venture after his noncompete expired." - Daniela Galarza

2026.01.19 First visit Exceptional coffee, from their single-origin pour-overs to the espresso drinks (latte). You can truly taste the difference from standard commercial beans—it’s impressive. The space is bright and spacious, with a clear view of the roasting area. Service was attentive, and drinks were prepared quickly. As an SCA member, their quality truly exceeds that of a typical coffee shop. A must-visit whenever I’m back in LA!"

Neat coffee shop with an array of snacks. Loved the Peach Green Tea; refreshing. Clean and spacious café. Enjoyed sitting inside the café. Loved that they showcase their roaster. Coffee beans are a bit overpriced for the bag size. Espressos were very acidic and did not go down smooth [PNG-Papa New Guinea]. Perhaps a different batch or bean next time. They also have seating outside and a very clean bathroom.

The chocolate croissant was delicious and the cafe latte is smooth and served lid free so you can enjoy the latte art before sipping this quality coffee. The beautiful spacious seating area has a good mix options to choose from and there is outside seating as well. Lots to love about this place!

In town for a new tattoo and visited the local coffee shop. The olive citrus muffin was AMAZING. The coffee was delicious (oat latte) and the vibes were as expected for this area (cool and laid back) Staff friendly and helpful

Incredible specialty coffee shop and roastery. Extremely friendly and helpful baristas who care about their coffee and your experience with the drinks. Answered questions very helpfully and created a lovely atmosphere. (make sure to try the pour overs)

This has been my go-to coffee shop whenever I’m in LA these past 2, 3 years. The staff is always friendly, and the service is consistently quick. There’s plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors — perfect for catching up with friends or getting some work done. The café is laptop-friendly with free Wi-Fi and a few outlets, which I really appreciate. The relaxed, comfortable vibe keeps me coming back again and again. All of their drinks, including the matcha latte, are solid. As much as I wanted to keep this spot my little secret, I had to leave a review to show my support :)

A Life without coffee is like a broken pencil – pointless. :D With that said let’s begin this sweet review. BOXX COFFEE (est 2021) is an exquisite modern Turkish cafe shop in the art district of LA. They’re located in Aliso luxury apartment building on E. 3rd street. We came on a rainy weekend to grab some coffee. I was mesmerized with the modernity and exquisite layout design of this cafe. Clearly, no money was spared here. That I can tell you. Moreover, the cafe’s atmosphere has a positive energy and peaceful tranquility. Their coffee menu list was modest as well as their pastries. I had a Croissant and hot Turkey Coffee, a strong traditionally prepared enjoyed in small cups. It is served with a small cup of water to cleanse thy palate. Drinking this coffee is traditionally not meant to be rushed as culture dictates it. The best way to complement this coffee is with a warmed butter Croissant to assuage the robust flavor of the coffee. Staff were cordial and professional. Prices were relatively fair and affordable. Parking in the art district can be challenging, so it’s best to come early in the morning. Overall, one can posit that this is a lovely modern cafe. I highly recommend it.🤩
