The pizza was what you’d expect at a kids restaurant vs an Italian deli. The wings have flavor and the breading is thick and amazing, but they’re over fried and all you can taste is the oil. The Italian sandwich had a little kick from the peppers which I loved, but it is very small and the meat has minimal flavor. The meats are the quality of a kids lunch kit you get at the grocery store. Not deli meats. The bread overpowers it. The proportions and quality don’t match the price. But it’s also less expensive than most places in dc so it’s you get what you pay for.

So I ordered a steak and cheese sandwich, which I have done on numerous occasions, but this time something was off. Then I realized, they gave me roast beef instead of steak. The trued to pass it off as steak, not informing me that the higher price I paid, for the meat, would be a cheaper meat. After, I reached out to their corporate email, explaining my situation, asking for a refund. That was 4 days ago, with no response. Now I will do a back charge on my credit card and put this on your reviews.... Does this look like a normal steak and cheese???,

I’m absolutely in love with this hidden gem in Georgetown! The manager, Jessica, was so kind and accommodating, letting me reserve the back area of the restaurant for my 30th birthday celebration (about 20 guests). The food was fantastic—gourmet, upscale, and unique, especially for the price. Our group included several vegetarians, and the plant-based pizza options were creative and delicious. The entire team went above and beyond to make my birthday unforgettable! I can honestly say I've never experienced service this exceptional anywhere else in DC. Major shoutout to Jessica - she was so genuine and really cared about making my night feel special.

Bozzelli’s in Georgetown exceeded all my expectations with its exceptional pizza. From the first bite, I was captivated by the rich and authentic Italian flavors that danced on my taste buds. The quality of the ingredients and the meticulous attention to detail in crafting each pizza truly set Bozzelli’s apart. What impressed me equally was the reasonable pricing. Despite the outstanding quality, Bozzelli’s manages to offer a wallet-friendly experience. It's rare to find a place that balances superb taste and affordability so well. Whether you're a local or just passing through, this gem in Georgetown is a must-visit. I can confidently say that Bozzelli’s has secured a spot on my list of favorite pizza joints. The combination of mouthwatering flavors, reasonable prices, and the cozy ambiance make it a standout dining destination. Without a doubt, I strongly recommend Bozzelli’s to anyone who appreciates top-notch pizza with an authentic Italian touch.

Such a delightful hidden gem located right next to the Georgetown Waterfront, with the most incredible vegan pizzas!! I dropped by with a friend for lunch on a Friday, and Bozzelli's honestly hit all the right spots -- delicious comfort food that was satisfying, but also accommodated my friend and I's dietary restrictions and didn't feel outrageously heavy (in the way that pizza often can); a fun and upbeat ambiance; and phenomenal service. The shop's astronaut-themed decor was super cute and gave the shop a bit of character, although, honestly, the food was good enough to speak for itself. My friend and I split a 10" Bizarro Pizza, which was basically a vegan take on the classic meat lovers pizza. It was topped with vegan sausage and vegan meatballs, as well as caramelized onions, sun-dried tomatoes, and chili garlic sauce. The sausage and meatballs were amazingly flavorful and smoky, and I honestly almost thought they gave us the wrong order because it truly tasted like I was chowing down on real meat. The vegan meats paired beautifully with the caramelized onions and sun-dried tomatoes, and the chili garlic sauce gave the entire pizza the perfect amount of peppery, garlicky goodness. All of this was delicious with the soft, pillowy crust (they have both normal and gluten-free crusts available!!) and the vegan cheese, which melted shockingly well, and had a delightful flavor. All in all, I had a phenomenal experience at Bozzelli's, and I can't wait until I can come by again to try out their other plant-based options!

Wow 😁 I discovered this place last night and it was such a nice surprise. I LOVE the astronaut theme! The interior is so cool! And there are places to plug in your phone or laptop too 🔌. I was also thrilled to see vegan options on the menu, and the vegan meatballs sub was great! I highly recommend checking this place out

This pizza really is good. Check out this pic and look at that luchness in all it's glory. I ordered the cheese and bacon pie and the bacon had a wonderful smoky flavor. Lots of drink options like wine and beer and even a counter that acts like a bar. This place is nestled in Georgetown's lively waterfront. A must stop before or after a water tour on the Potomac.

Born in Foggia, Italy, Lucio “Lou” Bozzelli co-founded with his brother, Tony, what was originally known as “Bozzelli’s Brothers Deli." Their business philosophy was simple: SERVE. GREAT. FOOD. Initially, their menu was limited to cold Italian sub sandwiches because they could not afford a grill. Through word of mouth, the only form of advertising they believed in, their business started to grow and eventually they added a grill and even a stove top. As their budding operation improved they expanded the menu to include hot foods like steak subs and lasagna. There was also demand for catering from office meetings to sporting events. As a matter of fact, in the mid to late 80's, when the rock group Glass Tiger's tour bus broke down in front of their shop the band ordered catering for everyone on the bus and the fans who were following. Within a few years, Bozzelli’s became a popular destination in the Washington, DC area especially with our service men and women. The brothers would relish the letters they would receive from troops sharing how much they missed their favorite subs while being deployed. Lou's brother, Tony, continued to operate the business after Lou's passing in 1989. To honor Lou's legacy, his wife and children looked to the stars for inspiration--hence, the spaceman--and relaunched the shop in 2003 as Bozzelli's®. Now with five stores in Arlington, Newington, Springfield, Washington, DC and Georgetown the family continues to work everyday to make Lou's dream of serving great food for the community. Thank you for your interest in our family-owned pizza shop.
