"Old Town’s modern American restaurant along King Street offers a family-style feast featuring creamy chestnut soup, pumpkin arancini, roasted Amish turkey breast, braised beef short rib, arborio risotto, sweet potato puree, and green beans. The price: $85 per person or $45 for kids 5 and up." - Tierney Plumb
"One of the most famous French chefs in the world (Jean-Georges Vongerichten) is behind the Tin Building, so you'll probably want to check out the French restaurant there. Unsurprisingly, it’s one of the stronger spots in the food hall. The space has black floors, green tile walls, and white marble tables, and it feels like a nice cafe that’s fitting for a date. Start with the bright green escargots, which are more herbaceous than garlicky. Then, if it’s the right time of year, get the salad with at least four different varieties of juicy heirloom tomatoes. The signature burger with gruyère and green chili mustard comes on a puff pastry bun, which sounds like a good idea on paper—but it's super rich and heavy. The whole thing is a bit much." - Kenny Yang
"Newly named executive chef Fredy Garciaguirre also runs the kitchen at next-door Brabo Restaurant, a European-styled brasserie that never took a pandemic hiatus like Tasting Room did." - Tierney Plumb
"The separation of spaces between a casual tasting room and a classy brasserie means there are plenty of quiet areas hold a conversation in this Northern Virginia hotel venue. Expect classic French cuisine and a fine wine list." - Aparna Krishnamoorthy
"A family-style Thanksgiving feast in Old Town ($75 per person) adds French flair to the traditional holiday. There’s 24-hour brined turkey roasted with garlic, herbs and rosemary gravy; grilled New York steak with Beurre Maître d’Hôtel; baked basquaise monkfish with spicy sausage and olives; French baguettes with salted butter; and seasonal berry cobbler with brown butter crumble (noon to 9 p.m.)." - Eater Staff
