Really nice people in the perfect breakfast spot. I loved my French toast muffin! Coffee is good which is always a must. Thank goodness for cream in a creamer carafe instead of those maddening little plastic waste containers. Prices are great. Absolutely recommend

Google
Bards place is a wonderful little dinner that give strong memories of the past. The environment is like every good local dinner should be, Comfortable! They are a cash only facility, though there is an ATM on premises, so bring your money. But the food prices are just right. Nothing crazy expensive, just good hometown cooking.

Just a nice place for breakfast and lunch located on Main Street in the center of downtown Greenfield Ma. One of the last of the few restaurants that isn't part of a franchise with good quality food at a reasonable and fair price.

I am happy to have finally gone here. The staff here were very friendly and professional for a Thursday which the weather wasn't great. The food was delicious and came out quick granted it wasn't too busy for 1pm. Parking was convenient and close with paid street parking spots. But due to the weather it was very slushy. I was impressed with the artwork and articles throughout the restaurant. I am looking forward to going back again soon!

Great place, friendly, food is excellent, made from scratch and by Brad himself.

Google
Travellers, Brad's is a lovely breakfast/lunch diner in downtown Greenfield. The menu is diverse and there is a complete breakfast menu, and a robust lunch menu. They have a delightful selections of fried baskets, including a seafood selection, a basket of fish and chips. They offer, salads, sandwiches, burgers, and daily specials too. Service was great, timely and with a smile. Our lunch sandwiches were yummy. If you are looking for a nice dinner for an affordable lunch go to Brad's in downtown Greenfield and enjoy. We recommend.

Great Pumpernickel Soft Rye. The cheeseburger pillow omelette with onions and peppers is spectacular. The service is very good. The place has nice Mass ambiance. Very popular with locals.

There are not very many Mom & Pop eateries like this in operation any more. This place is the best. Menu has variety, prices are very reasonable, and the food is awesome. It has that home town feel. We visit as frequently as we can.

Yelp
Good local diner. Prices are reasonable. Had steak and cheese omelette, Brad's gut buster, eggs hollandaise, egg sandwich. All very good. In case not obvious, this is MA Red Sox territory. Asked about the robot, it was made By an eccentric customer who made things out of discarded cans.

Yelp
Fantastic old school greasy spoon style diner. Stopped in here for breakfast before heading out on the road and continuing my trip to Maine. I sat at the bar and ordered eggs over easy, bacon, breakfast potatoes, toast, and coffee. I asked if their corned beef hash was scratch made. It is not - but the cook wanted me to taste it - so he gave me a small sample. It was pretty good for what it was. Food was good, solid, diner-grade breakfast food. When you visit - look for the robot on the wall behind the counter. There is a story behind it... Service was good! #BradsPlace

Yelp
Brad's is a great little local spot for breakfast and lunch. A simple menu, a bottomless cup of coffee, and reasonable prices have always been the norm. It is a very popular spot for locals and somewhat of a throwback to the nostalgic time of local coffee shops and good people. Street parking and on street level so it is handicapped accessable. If you found this review helpful, please tap the thumbs up to let me know. Thanks

Yelp
Good food, friendly service, cozy atmosphere. What more do you need in a small town diner?

Yelp
Fine if you want to spend your morning with Gas X. Waitress is distracted. Considered mailing in my tip so she would wait for it as long as she made me wait for my coffee..I didn't, but the thought was there.

Alan M.

Yelp
Some things change and some don't. At times change is needed and at times "it's not broken, don't fix it!" Brad's is perfect as it is because it's authentic. Owner/ operator and family run a smooth machine and keep everything moving. The menu and food is good home cooking that keep his group of locals make it a great way to start your day.

Yelp
My love for a good diner will never let me just roll right by one when I am hungry. We love the feel of Greenfield and decided to try Brad's Place while there. 11/09/19 The joint was jumping when we rolled in around 11 or so. We immediately got seats at the counter. Waitress was quick to get us set up with coffee and chat. A nice, simple menu. Not crazy cluttered with junk. I got the French toast, eggs over well, and bacon. My son got poached eggs, French toast and bacon. One thing I thought was cool, they still did the poached eggs even though breakfast was winding down. The eggs were cooked right, bacon was delicious, and the French toast was both no-frills and awesome. The only downside that affected the rating was the wait for the food. Man, what a wait. Probably took about half an hour from ordering to receiving food. If the people weren't awesome, it would have been a deal breaker. Glad the food was great. For my son and I to have the food and a bunch of coffee, with tip, I payed an even $20. Even with the wait, it was worth it. I love the size and setting of this place. It's just got that classic small restaurant look and feel. Great character. I'll definitely go back.

Yelp
The thing about Brad's is that the food is just ok and the service is slow but it's got such a sweet vibe and my kiddo loves sitting at the counter and ordering a stack of pancakes.

Mike T.

Yelp
Fantastic food. Many different options of breakfast dishes and lunch. Very friendly staff. Can't beat the prices anywhere that's for sure.

J W.

Yelp
Good prices, typical American fare but will customize things for you. Not particularly tasty but acceptable. A drawback is they only take cash.

Honey Ann B.

Yelp
I ate here a few times and they have really good delicious food and fairly priced. I'd say good place to eat.

Anastasia A.

Yelp
This place is a great old school diner. Only the owner was running it when we went. He was doing everything, from waiting on you, to cooking, to cleaning , to answering the phone. It was like watching a super hero. The most amazing part is we had our food in the matter of 10 mins, and it was absolutely delicious! He was such a fun loving and nice guy. What a great experience. We will be back.

Yelp
One of two or three places to eat in this town. Brad's place has been in the same locale as long as I can remember and it still looks as it did in the 80's. It's cramped and seating is pretty limited but, they have a regular stream of customers so they must be doing something right. I've eaten here on several occasions over the last three and a half decades. Good food on the cheap. I'd recommend it if you find yourself trapped in Greenfield. I'd also recommend it because there are not many other choices there unless you want breakfast from a chain like McDonald's or Friendly's.

William I.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite Breakfast place I always enjoyed eating breakfast and lunch there the owners and waitress is awesome Foods is very reasonable priced It's been in Greenfield for many years I will definitely return again soon A+++++++++

Yelp
Friendly quick service, simple place, straight forward food. Stopped by for breakfast on a Saturday, can't complain. If you like hot sauce, ask for their selection of local options (they have more than is on the table)

Yelp
This morning we stopped in at Brad's Place for some breakfast and I have to say that we left with mixed reviews. When we first walked in the waiters were near the door and never said hello. Being new to the restaurant we were unsure if we should seat ourselves or wait to be seated. After standing at the door awkwardly for a few minutes we sat down at a table which felt sticky. The menus placed on the table were worn down and dirty, and it took a while to get service. When the waiter made it to our table he took our order but was not personable in the slightest. When he eventually brought out our coffees he left them at the table, but didn't bring any milk or sugar. We eventually had to ask, and when the milk container showed up it was dirty, and parts of it were covered in mold. The silverware and coffee mugs were also really dirty. This was obviously extremely off putting, but when the food finally came it was delicious. We bought a "Belly Buster" meal as well as the sausage gravy meal. Both were delicious, and the pancakes and home fries were great as well. The prices were also phenomenal. In the end, we loved the food but were disgusted with the cleanliness of the store. This is definitely a "greasy spoon". We hope that the next time we go they have cleaned up a bit.

Yelp
Great Pumpernickel Soft Rye. The cheeseburger pillow omelette with onions and peppers is spectacular. The service is very good. The place has nice Mass ambiance. Very popular with locals.

Yelp
A Greenfield institution! Dan and his crew are great. Good food, good prices. Breakfast is killer! Keep up the good work!

John S.

Yelp
I work down the street, so I order from here quite often. The food is always fresh, tastes great, and their service is always personal and friendly! Highly recommend stopping by for a meal. Enjoy!

Yelp
BRADS PLACE IS VERY CHEAP. We will put that put there straightaway, because that is its most redeeming, and detracting quality. All other aspects of food and service stem from that one fact. Pros: Holy crap, an omelet with ham, cheese, veggies, toast, and homefries is $4.35. What kind of a price is that. That's ridiculous. There is always a newspaper to read! They will bring you a tray full of different jellies for said cheap toast Atmosphere! Sit at the counter and do the crossword puzzle. It's fun. Cons: The service is (can be - not always) really bad. But what can the tips be if the meals are less than $5? The coffee is awful (not can be - it is always, consistently sub-par. Like truckstop in the middle of the night in the great plains 700 miles from a starbucks bad. Hand over heart have never had coffee this bad anywhere. Ever.) Ingredients are not very great. Homefries are cooked in some kinda odd oil I would never consider using, cheese is a big 'ol sleeve of American, and this toast is really cheap. This is some cheap toast right here.

Yelp
I love diners. I especially love diners with old-style portion sizes (e.g., not larger than your head). I really, truly love diners with good, old fashioned low prices. I especially, honestly, absolutely love diners that are in the next block over from my workplace, seven minutes walk from my home, and that stay open until 3 PM so I can grab a sandwich on my way in to work. About the only fly in the ointment is that the older waitress is inattentive and loves to chat up customers while others are twiddling their thumbs, and flagging her down can be a chore. (By contrast, the two younger ones are efficient and observant.) Still, it is what it is, and here's where I go when I want breakfasts out.

Michael W.

Yelp
This was my first time trying brads and I will be back the food not only was good but the staff was awesome. They are taking safety precautions and still serving great food.

Mike D.

Yelp
Great breakfast place - not pretentious and a great value. Family owned so they really care! Always a good breakfast and some laughs.

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch. Good atmosphere, service was fine. Should have stuck with the basics though. I got a steak and cheese grinder. It had very little meat and onions, and no peppers that I saw. Came on two small, but whole, sandwich rolls (i.e., not a grinder). So, tons of bread and little else. Asked for fries instead of chips and got charged full price for both it seemed. My guess,if I ordered a basic sandwich I'd have been happy paying a couple bucks for a simple meal. Instead, I payed over $10 with more than generous tip for a pretty below-average meal. Suggestion - stick the basics and go cheap.

Toni B.

Yelp
Great little diner downtown quick service friendly staff was greeted when I walked in ,,great experience like an old fashion drugstore feel but good food..will come back.. highly recommend!

Miranda C.

Yelp
This is the best breakfast I've had in the longest time. I will definitely be coming back every time in in the area. Friendly and quick service. Not one complaint!

Hannah P.

Yelp
I honestly don't know how this place is still in business. We waited 15 minutes for our order to be taken. The silver wear and coffee mugs are dirty. They have one server working on weekends who clearly has no customer service skills. Our breakfast finally arrived an hour later! The toast was soggy, an omelette I ordered was watery and cold in the middle. Avoid this place at all costs! Disgusting food and unsanitary conditions!

Joseph K.

Yelp
My wife and I love old-fashioned "slice of Americana' breakfast spots. Home cooking, served with a smile and plenty of coffee. This hit the spot completely. Glad we stopped.

Owen W.

Yelp
Brad's is an extremely welcoming place owned by a local family that is a perfect place to grab lunch or breakfast in Greenfield. They have amazing staff and are one of the most affordable breakfasts in the area. Service is fast and prompt, and they're right in the middle of the action on Main Street in Greenfield. If you're out shopping, or going to the farmer's market on the weekends on the town common, Brad's is an excellent choice for cheap, good food and coffee.

Michael P.

Yelp
Greasy eggs and white bread. Thin bacon and watery coffee. If that's what you want they've got it. Not that clean. Not that freindly. Old school Greenfield and not the best of times. Depressing.

Deanna M.

Yelp
Food seems fresh but not very favorable ... flattest omelet I've ever had -the eggs had no fluff and little to no seasoning ... maybe that is why they offer you hot sauce.. staff very friendly ... bathroom is super weird since you walk through the kitchen and see pans of potatoes sitting out not refrigerated... which is a bit scary so I didn't eat the home fries for risk of being sick later.

Brooke F.

Yelp
What you get is what you see. A pretty classic diner, a little rough around the edges. Service is good, they're knowledgeable and attentive. Food isn't greasy which is always nice as sometimes diners have a tendency to be that way- but it's very average. They only have one cook (the owner?) so it's a little slow for a diner but it came out hot. You can see him making it which is different and nice. It's fine for a breakfast but doesn't leaving you itching to come back.

Michael S.

Yelp
A real greasy spoon. Great breakfast at a great price. Lots of locals sitting at the bar counter talking about the weather and local town hall politics and better times. Old School Greenfield and very friendly. I suggest the western omelet while my wife would suggest the blueberry pancakes.

Marcela A.

Yelp
Cinnamon coffee cake muffins are awesome! Great Diner to visit if you are hungry! My fiancé loves their chicken salad.

Lena S.

Yelp
This is a great slice of Americana. So many wonderful elements here - colorful locals, greasy spoon style diner food (the hash is quite yummy), weirdly low counter, quaint wall art, abundant coffee.... I throughly enjoyed breakfasting at Brad's Place!

Jess E.

Yelp
Went here for breakfast with my fiance after a doctors appointment, very cramped tables and poor service. Server was awkward and almost walked away half way through our order, food is cheap in both price and quality. After eating what we could tolerate we asked for a togo box for our corned beef hash (over salty but still somewhat edible) and there was animal fur in the togo box. Left it there and didnt bring anythjng home, tipped well but i regret it now!

Patti L.

Yelp
Great food at a very reasonable price. Feels like your in an old town environment. The wait staff was very pleasant and cheerful. Our food was served in a timely manor which was great because we we're on a short time frame. Will definitely be coming back again sooner than later. Love the variety of food as well, will have to try there desserts next time, it was a little to early for sweets:)

Hans G.

Yelp
The food is okay but Greenfield doesnt have many dinners. I miss Snows ice cream dinner on School st.

Lauren E.

Yelp
Very basic simple diner food at decent prices. Usually, quick in and quick out, you can see the food being cooked from nearly every table so you can expect no surprises. Only one waitress on usually, but it is a smaller restaurant and she seems pretty experienced. Not all tables are set the same, usually have to steal sugar packets or ketchup from another table. All in all, not bad, you get what you pay for. And real eggs for every thing, none of this eggs in bladder type baloney! Only one cook who knows what he's doing. Definitely a better choice than a restaurant full of servers who provide bad service and stand around doing nothing the whole time. This staff stays busy and consistent!

Smiley H.

Yelp
This is diner food at its best! The staff if always very friendly, they know most patrons by name :-) The breakfast food is the best. Dan, the owner, makes a great omelet and the potatoes are always good. My husband is a coffee drinker and loves that they have flavored coffee. This is a true family operation with the kids helping out on weekends. Only downside, they don't accept credit cards but they do have an ATM inside.

John S.

Yelp
This place is classic Americana. Old fasion diner fare at great prices. The lunch counter is like eating at the Cheers bar. The latest in town politics or sports is spread amongst the patrons. The prior poster is dead wrong, you can order any type toast and it is olde fasion Joe-anit starbucks. If you want to drop into a 50's type diner go here.
