Google
Branch Ofc is a gem - a cozy, unassuming neighborhood bar tucked away in Crown Heights with a charming, spacious backyard with a good amount of outdoor seating. Perfect for winding down on a warm night under the trees, or for groups looking for outdoor drinking. They serve up terrific cocktails, great and reasonably priced draft beers, and a wide range of ciders and wines. Highly recommend.

The Office is my favorite neighborhood spot! Whether I drop in for Drag Race Thursdays or chill on a Sunday evening to stave off the work week, Damien and the guys always treat my friends and me like family. The service is great, atmosphere is safe and cozy, and the freshly squeezed grapefruit juice, top notch.

Google
This is legitimately the best bar I’ve ever been a patron of. Negative reviews probably reflect the customers being rude or acting inappropriately and the staff responding appropriately. By far the best bar in the neighborhood. Love the frosted mugs, their patio when it's nice out, and the consistently good beer selection at VERY affordable prices. All the bartenders are lovely and friendly, and the locals crowd is pretty fantastic. If you’re a repeat customer, the staff make an effort to remember you, and I’ve never had a bad experience here. I'd give it six stars if I could!!

Google
Great local bar! This is my local and I go there at least once a week. Monday's they have movie night which is a cute chance to cuddle up to the bar with neighbors and check out a movie. Music/Movie is always a good volume which allows you to have conversations but not be heard from across the bar. Good date spot. In warmer weather, the patio is super nice and they often have a food cart type of thing. The cocktails are delish and they always have something cute and seasonal.

Google
I don't drink, this bar is a beautiful space for local Gentry... The girls are cute and the men respect boundaries. The bartender is friendly and accommodating. There is a backyard with six tables, if your looking for a perfect local bar then look no further.

Google
Great local bar with a laid back vibe. The beer circulation is solid with a new stout/porter, lager, IPA and other varieties. Nice little snacks like Zappos chips are a nice addition. Highly recommend hitting up the 4-7 daily happy hour. Seating is good at the bar and in the back.

Google
Overall, a great bar with affordable drinks and friendly atmosphere, but the staff is what truly makes this place special. Isahiah is such a gem. Always greets his customers with a warm smile, gives everyone a good amount of attention, and has my usual drink order ready right after I walk through the door. Highly recommend coming here if you're looking for a laidback place to wind down.

Google
Cozy bar with great ambiance and fantastic drinks. Bartender Frankie is super chill, friendly and an exceptional music specialist. Stopping by for a quick drink or bringing a party of 6? No problem as this place has it all. P.S. That crown on the registrar has a story of its own and is part of the bars history. Don't believe me? Ask the barkeep.

Yelp
- divey feel - I would definitely come here and drink my problems away - nice bartenders - good beer - the drinks are creative and have creative combinations of flavors - $13 cocktails

Yelp
Finally got to check this place out. Glad I did. Branch had been on my radar for a long time. So when I saw I was nearby I did not hesitate to nudge my group there. By nudge, did I threaten them and their families? That's none of your business and it's rude that you would even suggest it. The cocktails were fantastic. My litmus test is always a Manhattan and they did not disappoint. Their bees knees were also great. The beer selection is also very solid. The place is swanky and I dig the booths. It was perfect for the group. The bartenders were real chill and we had a great time there for a few hours. I can't recommend this place enough, I'll make an effort to come around even more.

Yelp
This bar is one of the more underrated joints in this area of Brooklyn: in large part because it is the rare bar with multiple personality disorder that somehow manages to come across as vaguely inviting and vaguely weird as fuck in the best possible sense. You look at some of the tables and you ask yourself, "Is it a dive bar?" And what's with the sorta but not really upscale cocktails and the metal stools that vaguely connote the 20th century but not really? Are you mofos trying to take a piece out of Dutch Kills? That's on the other side of town. Or maybe you're taking the piss? Well, either way, you ain't going to make it, baby. But you somehow laugh anyway because the irony here ain't laid on too thick. Or is Branch Ofc. one of those summertime bars where you nurse a Moscow Mule at a picnic table? Well, not really that either. Like your pal Johnny said. Multiple personality disorder. But somehow Branch Ofc. never comes across as one of those dopey venues that tries to be many things to everyone. It somehow finds its feel and groove within the Jenga-like cavities of blocks of what the bar COULD be missing. And the people who frequent this place understand that too. Inside you got your neighborhood locals, some punks, some artsy types angling for the middle-class, and occasionally a woman in tears or a man screaming references to NAPOLEON DYNAMITE years after it's fashionable. So your pal Johnny gives this place two thumbs up like those Chicago populists back in the day who cosplayed as intellectuals. Because of the ever-shifting and ambiguous nature of this place, your pal Johnny has walked in with blonde hair, a mustache, and a loud striped shirt only to depart hours later from this point wearing a halter top, a nice set of tatas, and a strange new ability to dance flamenco. You tell me, Yelpers. Is there another bar in Brooklyn that allows one to morph into somebody else? I think not! Your pal Johnny suspects that the Branch Ofc. have some arrangement with that Derrida fellow or whatever goddamned mook came up with the multiverse. People enter this bar and they become different people. I understand that this is where people enrolled in the Witness Relocation Program go before they move out to some suburban duplex across the Hudson. Somehow this bar has the power to change people's forms and temperaments. As such, it comes highly recommended from this once spry hipster who needs to look thirty-one every now and then to ensure that he ends up banging someone in bed later that evening.

Yelp
Had a great time here with my boo and his friends. The bartender Lee, was amazing and very engaging. He definitely makes you feel welcomed. I forgot the name of the cocktail he made me, but it was just splendid! It was dangerously tasty (strong and sweet). Be sure to check out their awesome beer and shot specials.

Yelp
I visited midday on a Saturday to beat the heat and had the pleasure of enjoying a spiked slushie. It was light on the liquor and heavy on the slush. Branch Ofc. Is low key and definitely where you go to unwind not so much mingling with locals. The backyard is spacious and well kept. It's dimly lit inside and gives you a relaxed vibe. Cool neighborhood bar.
google avatar

Fabiola A.

Yelp
My friend I came here after work and we were pleasantly surprised with this hidden gem. Lee is such a great bartender, chatted us up, and made sure we were satisfied and taken care of. There's plenty of space at the bar, the booths are nice and spacious, and an outdoor space when it's warm enough to sit outside. I had a really yummy cider (I think it was blackberry) and that rosé wine was hittin'! Very friendly atmosphere. Stop by if you're in the neighborhood.

Yelp
Ofc. stands for office - let's just get that out of the way. This bar is a literal gem, like so much so I don't even want to say this. The space is great, they have stranger things Christmas lights and the drinks are strong. Don't come here too often though because I don't want to see too many people here - but definitely moderately populate this place. 5/5 because y'all are my fave. See you for $5 hot toddy Tuesday's.

Yelp
Pretty excited about this place. Great, chill vibe. Friendly bartender (Damien). Good drinks. Happy hour deals. Back patio. Looking forward to having tons of friends here for a party as soon as we can. Some of the other reviews seem to complain about things that aren't true about this place. I suspect that as a new bar there were some "growing pains"--rest assured, this place is growing up and has turned into a fantastic young person-bar.

Yelp
This is one of the best bars in Crown Heights, if not all of Brooklyn. Damien, Forbes, and Frankie offer top notch service and unmatched attention to detail. Do not let the laid back atmosphere fool you - this is a high class establishment. An excellent place to socialize with Crown Height residents, or invite friends from afar to catch up while enjoying inspired libations. Open until 4 am, so no reason to not stop by on the way home. The patio offers a relaxing atmosphere to calibrate oneself with nature, or to host your next gathering. All in all, the Branch OFC is a great place to enjoy a drink after work, bring a date, or have a last night cap on the way home. 3 thumbs up, and 6 stars

Yelp
Damian and Frankie are my faves! Cool bartenders and both Bulls lol. Love the calm and relaxing atmosphere

Yelp
This bar is a little hidden (kind of hard to tell what it is from the outside) and a little divey (pinball machines, dark room, sticky surfaces), but once you walk beyond the dark interior and into the backyard, everything is perfect. Long picnic tables underneath strings of lights, the outdoor space is the perfect place to meet a friend(s) for drinks, have a casual date or relax with a book. I came here on Friday night around 7 PM. I ordered a cocktail for $11 that felt a bit light on alcohol but it was refreshing and it was Friday so I was willing to let it slide. We wandered outside and grabbed the last empty table. It was a great setting for a gathering. Throughout the night tables emptied and filled. The outdoor space never felt packed which was great for volume and for relaxation. Overall a fun spot to take your friends. Not the most amazing drinks nor the most amazing indoor experience but the outdoor space is totally, completely worth it. Very chill.

Jonathan R.

Yelp
This is exactly the kind of bar I want. Not rowdy or fratty or uptight or pretentious, Branch Ofc is distinctly chill. It is not so busy that bartenders' attention is hard to get, but it is busy enough that no one will overhear your conversation. The beer menu varies regularly and is good but not overwhelming with choices. The decor is tasteful, not too divey, not too classy, not too touristy. Price of drinks is exactly average for the area. Goldilocks can be found on the patio.

Yelp
Really big fan of Branch OFC - it's a much welcome addition to Crown Heights! They have very reasonably priced well drinks, wine and beer! Haven't tried any of their cocktails yet. I love the outdoor space - it'll be so great in the fall! The inside can be dark (the later you go) but it is a really great place!

Yelp
Here are some strange things about this place: 1. There isn't a printed beer list. Instead, you'll find a sign on the wall listing varieties of beer they serve: IPA, Stout, etc. When you ask for a beer list, they just point to the sign. When you inquire what beer it ACTUALLY is, they seem annoyed by the question and then rattle off what's on draft. Pro tip: there's a reason why bars either print out a sheet of paper with this information on it, or put a sign up. Is the IPA always going to be the same? Is it a session IPA, or an Imperial? Somewhere in the middle? Also, $7/12oz pour at a brand new bar, for fairly pedestrian beers, isn't the way to get customers. 2. There is a cell phone charging station for $1.99. Weird on a number of levels. Could you just let me use an outlet like every other bar, ever? 3. Sandwich prices seem high for what. you're getting. $10 across the board, meat/no meat. I will say that a top shelf shot was pretty cheap - $4, but YMMV.

Yelp
I had high hopes for this place, especially since I live around the corner. I liked the relaxed feel, thumbs up for the pinballs machines, music was fine, and staff seemed nice enough. My biggest takeaway, however, was the feeling that this place just doesn't know what it wants to be. They only have a few beers on tap, but the beer selection was boring and definitely overpriced. I'll go to Manhattan if I want a Stella or Shocktop for $7, thank you. Also, what's with the generic "IPA, Stout, etc." listing instead of telling us what they are on the board or a menu? A lot of people like craft beer. And those people like to know what they're drinking. Pretty easy fix. The cocktails seemed OK, but the selection was also limited and slightly overpriced for what they were (definitely nothing to write home about). Basically, the owners need to decide to step up the quality of the drinks if they want the cocktail bar vibe or lower the prices like woah (my preference, I would love a cheap local watering hole). I'll definitely be making the walk to Franklin Ave until I see one of the two happen (fingers crossed!).

Yelp
I came here for the first time within the first few weeks they were open because the bar moved in right after my previous main pinball haunt closed down and the pinball map app pointed me here. I was happy to discover that not only were there pinball games that are *generally* in a good state of repair (when they're not, it's not the bar's fault but the owner of the machines) but also a well-curated and rotating draft list and really nice house cocktails. I spend most of my time there in front of the pinball games, but lots of folks seem to enjoy the outdoor seating and the nicely atmospheric indoor seating. The staff is very friendly and attentive and the fact that the same bartenders have been there for the six months or so that they've been open suggests that ownership and/or management treats them well. As with most of the places I frequent, pinball is the thing that keeps me coming back, but unless you're looking for a dive with cheap beer, an extensive wine list or a dinner menu (sandwiches only), you're sure to find something you'll like here. Drop by and give it a shot, you'll be glad you did.

Yelp
What a phenomenal space for meeting up with good friends or new people. The ambience is warm, inviting and happy. The bartenders know their business (I am hella picky) and they make eye contact too. The vibe really suits a neighborhood that is as diverse and cosmopolitan as any real New Yorker might hope. I dropped in for a quick 'check it out' drink and stayed for hours! So glad this spot finally opened up. Oh! And the fig sandwich is delicious!!!

Yelp
Really cute local bar with a backyard perfect for groups (you can reserve a table) and great cocktail, wine, beer options. Super friendly staff. Clean bathrooms. Alcoholic snow cones. Come on. On Thursday nights, Branch hosts local restaurant pop-ups. I went for the Harvest+Revel fundraiser for BLM & it was delicious. I didn't even know I liked black-eyed peas. TIP: bring bug spray! You'll be the most popular girl around (but kinda smelly from bug spray.)
google avatar

Matt F.

Yelp
A good bar is hard to find. I appreciate the no nonsense aesthetic. I can get my drink on and my snack on without any muss or fuss. The grilled sandwiches are filling and yummy. A great late night belly buddy. Plus I can drink a couple beers and fill up and get a little whiskey and leave happy. its a bit pricey but compared to most of Brooklyn these days or Manhattan it seems normal. Plus they have pinball and a backyard, hello!
google avatar

Shannon P.

Yelp
I don't love this bar, the staff has never been friendly and every time I've gone it has smelled strongly of cleaning supplies (TOO strongly). My work also booked this bar for a holiday party and the staff was brash and unhelpful. Drafts are relatively cheap though and it is nice to have a bit of outside space.
google avatar

Yelp
Came here for a group outing on a Tuesday night - the patio was practically empty considering was a nice day it was! Each table was a different color, which I thought was decorative. A little muggy, and so the patio was very very buddy. Mosquitos, lightning bugs, and ants all over the place outside. BUT - it is a gorgeous patio. They have slushee drinks (that you can get virgin) that are delicious. Nice spot if you're looking for a quiet patio! Inside was dark.... not quite sure it's so dark but it's too dark for my liking.

Yelp
I didn't think this place could get much worse, but apparently I was wrong. My friends and I were treated so poorly the other night. We were the only ones in the bar, but it was not even close to 3am and there were a decent number of us. But I guess the bartender wanted to go home or something. At 1am he flat out refused to make me a cocktail. He was unbearably cold to all of us. We just kept looking at each other quizzically trying to understand why this was happening. We would ask for a drink and he would blow past and ignore us for 10 more minutes, looking at his phone, even though there was no one else in the bar. He kept turning the music off for long stretches, I guess to make us uncomfortable? He put some of us on the same tabs, but not all, which was strange since we didn't all know each other well and arrived at separate times. It was all so bizarre. When we left, a lot of us who live in the area talked about how much this bar sucks. And the out of towners said they hadn't been treated this poorly by a bartender in a long time. It was embarrassing. To add to this, the beer menu has managed to get even worse. It is not divey or cheap enough to have such terrible beers on draft. At least now the poor quality of beers matches the tacky frosted beer mugs. And then you have bad beers, but then wont make me a simple cocktail like a Manhattan, as an alternative. You don't even need to muddle anything. Ive worked in bars since I was 18. I have NEVER worked or been anywhere that wouldn't serve cocktails TWO HOURS before close. What on earth is that about?! I'm officially never setting foot in this place again. We would have had a better time at our apartment, where I could have made cocktails. There is probably a reason not many people are ever in there, despite the fact that the next closest bar is a 10 minute walk.

Amber S.

Yelp
I wish the hours would be updated here. I've tried to go twice on Sundays at 10pm and it was closed.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this great spot! Originally from CT, but loving in vibe of this dive-isk bar

Yelp
A great local bar. Patio seating is great for outdoor shenanigans in warmer months, and is still open for use in the colder ones. Cocktails are top-notch and beers are all high-quality. Photo booth, phone charging station, pinball, and arcade games are handy to have. Several different types of seating depending on the size of your group. A TV and projector for sports and movie nights. My kind of joint.

Elizabeth F.

Yelp
Very solid spot. Drinks are pretty cheap and when we stopped by on a Thursday night, there was plenty of patio seating to choose from. No frills and nothing special, but I liked the beer I got and my bf and I split a panini, which was also very good. They also have snacks (read: bags of chips hanging from clips on the wall) for $1 which turned out to be a good tipsy snack. The bartender was nice and got our orders correct, which is all you can really ask for. This is a good place to have in the neighborhood and we'll probably stop by again soon!

Alex V.

Yelp
Absolutely MEH in every way possible. No Craft Beer, or even decent beer for the $7 cost. Not for beer lovers. Or cocktail lovers. Overpriced. Nothing special about this place at all. I REALLY wanted to like this place, as there are few options in this area of Crown Heights south of Atlantic, but I was deeply disappointed. First of all, as previously noted, their beer list isn't printed. Which leads to the awkward interaction of having to ask a bartender to ask what's on draft. Why not just have a list instead of telling us you have "IPA, STOUT, etc?" In fact, I wasn't even sure if they had anything on tap, because their taps are hidden behind the bar (which adds to the confusion of their vague beer descriptions). Draft beers are $7, but their beer list reads like a more Buffalo Wild Wings or mid-grade hotel than a Brooklyn bar in 2015. Tonight they had Smuttynose Brown, Goose Island IPA (Anheuser-Busch.), Shock top Hefeweizen (Anheuser-Busch), and Stella (Anheuser-Busch). WTF?? Does this place have a contract with Anheuser-Busch???? This is supposed to be a bar, not a stadium. I couldn't believe that they're wasting new draft lines on Stella and SHOCK TOP for christsake. Most bars worth their salt have REAL craft beers for $6, and this place wants to charge $7 for Stella? Bars in expensive-ass Williamsburg charge $6 for craft beer, why is Branch Ofc trying to gauge us and serve crap beer in this sleepy part of Crown Heights? I also had one of their three "cocktails" for $11, which was more like a quickly mixed drink. Do yourself a favor and go to Erv's (great!) in PLG, or walk up Franklin Avenue to the numerous fantastic bars if you want a real cocktail or beer. I feel insulted after paying $11 for some mix. In terms of ambiance, I didn't feel like this place had any. Dark with a couple of random pinball machines. And a random TV behind the bar. It wasn't turned on, thank goodness. Very generic. This bar could literally be anywhere. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere that gives a shit about being a good bar, or servicing the neighborhood and won't charge you $7 for an Anheuser-Busch product.

Meagan W.

Yelp
i love it here. i live in the city and travel here just to see damian. he's great and remembers what you like and suggests good new in wines and spirits when i feel adventurous. ive seen him on poetry nights and pop ups and movie nights and he's always so helpful

Nichole M.

Yelp
A beautiful bar neighborhood bar, great place to meet up with friends, new folk and lastly a cool first date/get to know you spot. The space has warmth and character, feels like its always been there. Truly a welcome addition to the neighborhood that's changing and balancing between newcomers and long time residents. Bonus points for the pressed sandwich set up!! and private-ish back corner area for intimate group gatherings. And! Extra bonus points for photo booth. I love them so much. Music selections are great-- on point with a delightful mix of genres for anyone who actually loves music as much as they love the sound of their own voice. But most important, great bartenders and staff. Customer service rules supreme over all things, it will definitely bring me back :D

Yelp
PLEASE NOTE THIS REVIEW! Last night me and a girl stopped by this bar on the way to a party nearby. I must say this we were rudely accepted, took bartender several extra unnecessary minutes to serve us and went on to verbally attack me and my friend. We felt deeply bothered after leaving and very uncomfortable. It was halfway through this dreaded experience that I remembered another time in the past at same location where a group of us were treated very unfairly. I honestly can not think of any reason to ever suggest this place to anyone and if your looking for an outing theres plenty of other comfortable and accommodating bars in the area its crown heights..

Yelp
I've finally achieved "local" status at a bar, and it was the moment the guys at Branch knew my drink as soon as I walked in the door. Friendliest staff, cozy atmosphere and great pop ups.
google avatar

Sasha N.

Yelp
You guys - it's wonderful to have a "local" bar with an outside space. And it's just chill... order their grilled cheese and get a beer / cocktail and it's wonderful. It's like an extended home space only it's not your home but it kind of feels like that way. It probably doesn't deserve all 5 stars up there but I was just there and I had a great time - so yay for all 5 stars. Actually, 5 stars for everyone today! Yay!

Yelp
This little out of the way bar on Rogers Ave. Is a bit of sleeper fav for me. I don't go very often but when I have I just say the experience has been awesome... Spacious and very relaxed is how I describe, this bar.. Plus the old school video game arcade are so effing boss... Great drinks and the owners are pretty greet u with a smile on their face... When I want to do a low key night I hit up the Branch.....
google avatar

David T.

Yelp
So this was my first friday night in there.... this is offically my watering hole.. the spot is perfect... not to out there.. but out there enough to catch a eye... this spot is a winner... cant wait for the weather to get right so they can open the patio

Yelp
All time favorite bar of all time. I've never come into branch ofc and not felt as though it's the best choice I could've made for the night. The food and drinks are creative and delicious and the staff that I've interacted with: Courtney, Michael, Eddie, Dre, and especially, Damian are simply fantastic. If you're searching for a great time, a fun crowd, and wonderful service, along with excellent drink and food choices, in a wonderful area of Brooklyn...this is THE place.

Yelp
It's an expensive hipster bar but I guess it's better than nothing. They have an outdoor area which is cool. Come here after yoga some time.

Yelp
First off, let me preface this review by saying two things:(1) I've only ever written a yelp review once before, and it was for something positive (Bluebird on Flatbush Ave), so I don't liken myself to one of those awful 'I-had-a-slightly-bad-experience-and-now-I-have-to-go-and-YELP-about-it' types of people. (2) I have been to this bar twice, and the first time was positive, and I share that experience towards the end, but it doesn't make up for the utter disrespect that the bartender showed us the second time I visited. I came here after work on a Thursday, with a group of 5 friends. We had another 4 friends planning to meet us there in a couple of hours. It was empty, with one girl sat out back in the yard, and one dude sat at the bar. We plunked ourselves and our stuff (we had brought some board games) down in the front corner and went to order drinks. There is no noticeable beer list, so I asked the bartender what he had on tap. He tells me the (limited) selection, I order, and then my friend goes,"I'm sorry--what do you have on tap?" He rolls his eyes, starts re-listing them, and then stops after naming just two beers and goes, "what are you in the mood for?" but not in a helpful way--in a 'this is too hard for me to repeat the 6 beers' type of way. She orders an IPA and we go back to our seat. Over the next 30-45 mins or so, we each drink 2-3 beers and are playing a silly word game, that has us occasionally yelling and laughing at each other. At some point another man comes in and sits at the bar. All of a sudden, we hear the bartender lean over the bar and say to our group, "Excuse me: I'm going to have to ask that you all keep it down. That guy just left because you guys are too loud." UMmmmmmmm......it is a BAR......it's not our fault that the place had no discernible music playing and carries sound like crazy. We weren't being obnoxiously loud. Occasional board-game shouting and cheering. We decide to take our business elsewhere, so two of us go up to close our tabs. My friend has to tell him her last name (he must have only had 3 cards behind the bar....) and it is a crazy Indian name that is impossible for most people to pronounce, so she tells him her first name and says that her last name 'starts with a v'. He responds, "I need to know your full last name". WHAT???? So she repeats her first name, and says that her last name starts with a v. He brings her the only other CC that he must have, that does coincidentally have a last name that starts with a v, but the first name is NOTHING like the name she has just been giving him. My friend gets her card and neither of us tip, which is the first time in my life I have ever done that (I was bartender and a waitress for YEARS and would normally never DREAM of not tipping). He then says to our group, "I'd appreciate it if you guys didn't come back" (ummm....yeah...why the fuck would we??). THEN, he looks at our closed checks and says that he is going to charge us 20% gratuity. Granted, my tab was only $10 (I'd had 2 happy hour beers), but my friend's was a bit more, and that is just straight up illegal. I checked my bank account today, and he didn't actually run the gratuity. I will never be back.

Yelp
one star for cute decor, otherwise, this place is mediocre and mediocre doesn't cut it unless you're in the middle of nowhere. draft beer is overpriced and the selection is atrocious. come on, this is brooklyn, you think they could have *one* decent beer. nope! will not be coming back here which is a shame because I live so close.
